I think your amazing and I love your writing it’s absolutely wonderful. I’ve got my vision of James’ personality down pretty good I think (rebellious golden boy), but I’m still trying to perfect how I see James physically. You have great ideas so if you don’t mind me asking…

How big do we think James is? Like how muscular is our boy? What’s his body like in general? Is he tall? Tan? Hairy? Does our dude have junk in the trunk (I lean towards yes💀)?

I love this man beyond words. Like he’s such a lovely being that I feel like I need to absolutely perfect my vision of him he deserves it. 🥹♥️

ur view is so valid! i also think james was the og golden boy (cedric diggory who?) and his rebellion wasn’t like, a Big Thing like sirius but tiny actions like the tattoos under his shirt, sneaking around the school, tiptoeing into the muggle world randomly & without notice etc etc.

anyway, physical characteristics. (quick disclaimer: i throw all realism out the window so even if british lads in the 70s don’t look this way, don’t tell me 💀)

tall, for sure. so sirius is the tallest amongst the four, but james is a very close second, just like an inch or two shorter than him. definitely above 6ft, though, and one of the taller boys in hogwarts.

i know desi james is popular but i’m,,,not one for identity hcs in general so i don’t have anything for or against it. i do see him as tan (hence the tan/brown skin descriptions in fics) and lightly hairy. for some reason, i think he has really attractive arm hair? pls don’t judge me i’ve been ruined by older actors

muscular as fuck. i’m talking biceps the size of remus’ head and those huge gym dude thighs that can crush a watermelon and corded forearms. honestly, obscene. one, as a function of being a chaser. two, he discovered it lets him pick up & twirl a certain *someone* around so he became even more determined (ok but now i’m also imagining him picking up padfoot in his arms and it’s so ??? precious???) and his jaw does the Thing, and he’s definitely most peope’s first crush in hogwarts.

he has a crooked nose because it’s been broken one too many times and he’s not one to care about trivial things like that in the heat of the moment so it often goes ignored and heals up wrong. sure, wixen medicine can let u regrow it but his parents got sick of it before he even got to hogwarts and just let him be. he also definitely has a lot of tan lines (and one on his nose/side of the face for his glasses lol)

hair is always a floppy mess, both because he’s always running around or flying & keeps putting his hands in it plus Infamous Potter Hair Tragedy. never long enough to tie/braid back bc he looks really stupid with hair past his ears. prefers a subtle undercut+ longer on the top style and always has tufts sticking out in the back.

his clothes are always a little bit,,,skewed. his tie’s mostly undone, sleeves are always rolled up, ink on his fingers, sweater wrapped around his waist, robes flapping about messily etc etc. McG has given up on getting him to come to class with everything in place bc atp she’s just thankful he’s fully dressed (lowkey exhibitionist james anyone?)

(also yes definitely junk in the trunk along with a hard, muscled…rear end that is particularly enjoyable for certain amorous activities)

24. do you want to change your name – i did in the past, because my name is very rare where i live. but i started to like it after some time. the great thing is that it’s meaning differs since no one really knows it’s true origin. 

25. what did you do for your last birthday - i invited my two best friends but one happened to be sick at that day (ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ) so we were only two but it was great anyway. since i was born the day after walpurgis night we went to the bonfire and spent some time there

37. what do you like about yourself – don’t get me wrong, i know it sounds tragical and sad, but i don’t have something i like 100% about myself. i am used to it though because i’ve been this way since forever, having high standards for me (and for others probably too, which is very unfair from me) but the closest to 100% is my talent for music.

40. nicknames – the most common nickname for my name is Selmi but hardly anyone except for my mom and my sister calls me like that anymore. other than that i have the feeling my friends and i don’t have nicknames but more like pet names for each other. like, i was called “Flauschebausch” (in english “Fluffpuff”) not that long ago (it referred to my hair). i would also count “squirrel”, “the stars” and all that stuff as nicknames but we don’t really call each other often like that in person xD

44. fave tv shows – lately i finished Game Of Thrones and i liked it so damn much, especially the ending (i really don’t get why it was so hated, but i’ll not explain further - i don’t want to write an essay here xD). i also enjoy watching Gilmore Girls from time to time, but hardly anyone in my generation knows it. and since i read it at @kafkascupcake ‘s post for this tag i just remembered how much i liked Memories of the Alhambra too (gosh, how i waited for every episode to air … i still remember this impatient feeling so well)

45. tattoos – i’m not allowed to have any yet but i’m thinking about getting smaller ones later since i think tattoos are pretty. buuuuut i’m also afraid because i can’t really imagine the pain
