okay i really tried to enjoy this la brea show i really did, i coulda got past the constant contrivances always making every plan go awry etc, but i cannot, CANNOT deal with this whack-ass take on wild animal behavior any further

if you dig this show i'm very happy for you but i gotta dip

#prehistoric wolves who would be habituated to human presence because there's apparently shitloads in the area #(they're not even extra gigantic dire wolves)#some for AT LEAST 30 years #just randomly attacking entire groups of people??? ain't like there's no other wildlife to eat #they're not starving #WOLVES DIGGING/TEARING WITH THEIR TEETH THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF A BUS #to reach 'prey' that has shown serious ability to fight back #BEHIND GLASS SO THEY CAN'T EVEN STILL SMELL THEM #ARE YOU KIDDING ME COME ON #there's suspension of disbelief and then there's whatever they're asking me to do to accept this shit #and i can no longer be on board #(also i'm increasingly annoyed by the way the sole disabled character barely gets to be a person and mostly #exists feels things or takes action in the service of the storylines of others #she hasn't had a SINGLE even tendril of a storyline of her own since that extremely brief vigil scene #add to that a) whee we conveniently ditched both our gay ladies and suddenly our two gay dudes are never around anymore #b) Man Up And Overcome Your Debilitating Anxiety By Sucking It Up And Just Being Brave #You Don't Need Medication You Just Need to Get Over It #that whole scott situation was egregiously ugh #(not to mention their short and aborted dry run with sam and his ptsd)
