guess what danni, i dont think any of us know how the system works. my ballot was filled in with a black ink pen. I turned it. And i think it’s supposed to be scanned. California votes take a long time to count, as i am told every election. metropolitan areas tho, i think have electronic booths. its comes fm not everyone voting the same way. I think metropolitan areas got hijacked while low income areas either couldnt vote or the votes werent counted. my theory tho. i dont think any of us know (especially me) understand how any of this happened. we cant trust electronic ballots (ive never seen one or used one) so clearly we should just stick to paper.action
oh, ok, so it is nonsensical and it’s not just me??? My first mistake was assuming everything was consistent, i think that’s why i keep getting confused because they keep talking about machines and electronics and completely different things??? I couldn’t figure out how people were saying it was manipulated because i couldn’t work out how it was supposed to work in the first place.
and i just kept remembering random scandals i’d heard about voting machines being paid for by the candidates and the votes cast being questionable??? and i know about postal/absentee ballots but had no clue how those were counted up, either and... Contradicting information was confusing me and i thought i was just being dim.
(also highkey the only reason i know how my votes are counted up is because they show footage of the ballot counters tallying them on tv while waiting for election results out of sheer lack of anything else to put on air, if turnout is high u can expect to wait 13 hours for one district... they have a lot of time to air random ass footage)
