Raz truly is one of the funniest video game characters of all time. His ability to do platforming parkour is explained by the fact that he was raised in a circus. He’s a psychic prodigy. He thought his dad hated psychics but his dad is a psychic. He broke into a government camp in an attempt to get employed as a secret agent and it worked. He has canonically set squirrels on fire. His grandma is a former mass murderer. He’s addicted to giving people therapy and duking it out with the manifestations of their problems. He saves the day 3 times in the span of a week. He’s friends with a rat. He’s 10 years old.

Honestly, the creator of Arcane insisting that he never intended to imply a romance between Viktor and Jayce and that their bond is brotherly or whatever makes that one scene from season 1 the most hilariously oblivious sequence in all of TV history. Like. "We decided that Mel and Jayce hooking up for the first time and Viktor collapsing at the lab would be parallel events and we'd show it by alternating between clips of each scene. Jayce would also leave Mel's bed immediately afterwards because they called him from the hospital. What do you mean that links Jayce's budding romance with another person to Viktor's worsening condition while establishing that Jayce still prioritises Viktor over Mel. What do you mean that implies romantic subtext between Viktor and Jayce. No, we didn't mean anything like that. We did it just because." Dude what. Lmao?

Thinking about how Sevika’s closest ally in the the council is most definitely counselor Shoola. In very few lines and appearances in Season 1, she’s expressed the most sympathy for Zaun (“these are still our people” / being the first to vote for Zaunite independence), and she and Sevika worked together for the funeral service after the war.

And in the scene where Sevika takes her seat at the table, and other counselors try to glare her down, the animators made sure to then place Shoola and Sevika in the following shot together, as oposition. Not just that, but to further indicate this idea the two snob counselors are dressed in the same black, red and white color scheme, while Sevika and Shoola are wearing the exact same gold and purple. It serves to both soothe my nerves about Sevika being alone in Caitlyn’s seat, but it also makes me mourn Sevika’s cut screentime, because I would love to see these two actually interacting directly.
