Breaking News - Attack on Etude Guild

On [DATE] at [TIME], the Etude Guild was invaded and a midrank member murdered, as well as the tower sustaining extensive fire damage in one localized area. Two intruders were seen escaping the premises, one an unknown creature with a black shell, horns, and long wings, the other a seemingly ordinary man with ginger hair.

The victim’s name was Ephior, zoologist and alchemist who sought to combine these fields. Coworkers who knew him say he was ambitious and dedicated to his craft, and believe his work was motive in his murder. The perpetrators were seen carrying a cage containing a small gray animal with markings strikingly similar to the demonic looking intruder who set flame to the building as they exited.

As for the tower itself, a hallway containing the lab used by Ephior was burned and small parts of the ceiling melted. Guild members hard at work on restoring the tower have stated that being near the scene of the conflagration invokes intense feelings of unease and fear beyond natural means, making it difficult to begin repairs.

The Etude Guild has ramped up security since to avoid further incidents, and seeks any information on who the two may have been.
