so funny how my mother's mentality of horror films as well as my own brief and negative interactions with them made me so terrified to watch them for years and years and then when i finally decided to give them a shot, it turned out i loved them

#literally everything scared me at first #but it really does get to the point with horror films where nothing is scary anymore #also idk why i trusted my mother's opinon in the first place #she literally thinks spirited away is 'weird and creepy'. same with the nightmare before christmas #she is such a BABY when it comes to horror #(lol maybe that's bc she's spent almost all her adult life being an irl horror villain to her children #and was never a victim of that kind of person ever in her life at all whatsoever herself. lmao)
