I can’t believe I forgot to mention this this in 6 different liveblogs but I’ll give it its own post then
I’ve been saying “neek-o-lai” for years and they’re not gonna stop me now. it’s too late. I’m not getting on the “nick-o-lai” train.
#there were a lot of things I pronounced differently when I first read them#but there was a really short span of time between when I first read the books and when s1 aired#so it wasn't Engrained yet and I switched a lot of pronunciations pretty easily#(like I originally read genya with a hard g not a j)#bUT! BECAUSE HE WASN'T *MENTIONED* IN SEASON 1!#I've had years with 'neek-o-lai' and I like it better and you SHAN'T STOP ME#sab liveblog
