assigning your blog as an observatory where you're presenting a mock thesis and me and all your followers are milling about or sitting on stacks of books or laying on the floor listening intently and nodding along. we are all in pajamas and fuzzy socks.

wait. if I'm presenting my thesis... and you're all watching me present... then who's driving the telescope?

#answered asks #this also totally would work IRL at my university's observatory by the way #we've already got an area set up for presentations for when we do tours and while it's fairly utilitarian now #if people brought in pillows and blankets and such we could totally make it cozy in there #I was actually up there tonight for tour guide training- it was cloudy so we couldn't actually look at anything #but I still love being up there so much #the best way I can describe it is- I think it kinda feels like shivers (the skill) does #like I feel very connected to my field when I'm up there (& this might be corny but also to the universe at large)#like it's where I'm supposed to be #(it's ironic that I'm comparing it to the 'connection to city' skill- meanwhile the observatory is in the middle of absolute nowhere)#anyways I am glad I am putting out the intended vibes
