okay I yelled a bit about the stuff I liked the most in s2 pt 1 now here's my obligatory cons post that'll be deleted in like three hours (I do this with any commentary here it's not that serious)
#tbd#I do think my biggest complaint with the series as a whole is that it's been somewhat unsophisticated politically -#and I continued to feel that up until honestly like. 90 percent of the way through part 1. to the point where it had me nervous#it was /very much/ a flashback to tl0u pt 2 and up to that one line from ekk0 I was really going -#''please don't try to 'both sides' this when one of the sides literally keeps the other underground''#(insert nuance here about the socioeconomic factors that encourage this rather than me trying to make any big lore statements about like)#(/how/ this happened or to what physical extent it's enforced)#ANYWAY. yeah for this reason ca1t's arc was encouraging to me and I think. hopefully. this will begin to illustrate -#where the power lies in this universe/who bears the brunt of punishment/that certain attitudes are justified#I do have a lot of other nitpicky media rep things /esp/ wrt disability and maybe a few ticks less wrt race but that might be another post.#we've talked enough for this one I'm getting tired lmao
