more on getting perspective on things

so i spent the whole day more or less around my aunt and uncle and it was really nice actually, i had some very late breakfast and then lunch with them down in the restaurant and then went and did some maths there as well (it wasnt a very busy day today) and then we walked around their town for one and a hakf hours, which was really nice!

not just in terms of conversation or whatever but the town is actually really pretty as well!

and i have found that i do really wnjoy being around my family again, as a kind of equal adult, or at least definitely not a child anymore (i am the oldest on both sides of my family so all my sisters and cousins are all younger)

and as much as i keep saying how "dysfunctional" my family is and that my parents will probably end up getting divorced eventually, in comparison to the actual dysfunctional or downright abusive families some of my friends or people i know have, my family is quite a precious thing

..well my mums not even here bc work and thats a whole nother different thing but aside from tension between her and my dad, the more extended part of my family is absolutely precious.

i mighrve talked about that before at some point, but i really love and appreciate how i can just bring people i know home and sort of drop them off with my family and theyre being absolutely welcomed.

especially my dads side of the family, theyre polish, idk if that has anything to do with it, but theyre so full of love for everyone and always inviting and for sure will always have more than enough food in the house (ok maybe thats a polish thing) and theyve asked me multiple times to come down for a week with a friend some time, on our own just for fun, which im definitely going to do.

not to say that my mums side of the family isnt super nice too, my grandparents came over for easter when id invited my friend over bc she was home alone all week and she said they were all so sweet and that it was the best easter shes ever had.

which is well, kind of really sad for her but im really glad that i could at least share that little bit of my family with her and make her happy.(and i did her killer nails that probably helped too ;p)

but yeah, im starting to realize that i am actually really fortunate with the family i have and i think just in general the older i get the more i can appreciate all the good things i have.

which sometimes seem a bit alien to me...

idk how to describe it, but its like when i started to come out of depression and suddenly had good days again, which would probably be just like any other, normal day to nt people but to me i was like on top of the world and i couldnt believe that that was even possible..

idk if that even still has a point but hey, its my thoughts, my post, ill do what i wamt, and my point is i am grateful for my family and i actually cant wait to take my friend here for a week and show her a good time
