not enough talk about how the terrifying, all powerful president of panem spends an entire movie being taken for a clown car ride by the world's most obvious double agent lol

#to me it's a combination of snow probably not having been in any political danger for ages #(ie he's not on edge he trusts his system of delegation of responsability)#+ him being incredibly single-minded/hyperfocusing on katniss (just like he says he was too busy watching her to watch coin lol)#that and this is a movie for 12 year olds so there's a limit to how nuanced the political plots can be lmao #my posts
