I can imagine that in the previous cycle MK never had the instinctive urge to chirp and chatter like a monkey because he grew up as a human for 20+ years and was only a chaotic monkey man for maybe a year or two

Now MK is struggling with the fact that every single time Macaque or Wukong walk away from him he instinctively chirps at them like “Baba wait for me!” and he doesn’t understand what the hell he’s saying or why he’s doing this and it’s totally not because he has abandonment issues or anything haha who said that

Meanwhile the two parent celestial monkeys are silently crying in joy every single time MK makes any kind of noise at them because that’s their baby!!! that’s their little boy right there!!

He pulls a playing card from his sleeve, makes it "disappear", and then dramatically pulls it from behind Toga’s ear.

She claps excitedly. "Do it again! But, like, with a knife!"

"No knives, Toga."

"...Okay, okay, no knives." pulls out a scalpel

"Toga."

His next attempt...

"The key to all magic is misdirection. You draw their attention elsewhere—"

Toga nods. Then, mid-sentence, she throws a knife at Dabi. (It misses, but only because he moves at the last second.)

Dabi: "WHAT THE HELL, TOGA?!"

Toga: giggles "Misdirection!"

Mr Compress: "... Toga."

He gives up.

Toga is thrilled and believes she has mastered sleight of hand.

Dabi is never sitting next to them again.

Twice is the only one genuinely impressed and starts calling Toga "The Murder Magician".

Compress refuses to acknowledge this atrocity as magic.

so with kana5 being out ive seen people say kanades card is kinda like shes hurting herself to "save" mafuyu and keep composing music

the balloon string is so tight around her hand it looks like she cut and i agree 100%

but can we analyze mafuyus card???? the diamond/gem shes sitting on almost looks like a pedastal, and mafuyu is the only one with a card like that hello? its like kanade tries to lift mafuyu so high she cant notice anything else, and its actually so sad- kanade is so focused on mafuyu being saved, meaning she has a reason to make music, and its causing her to think of others over her own feelings, hence the pseudo self harm on her hand...???!!

mafuyu doesnt seem happy at all where she is, could that be a sign she doesnt care to be saved? or since shes looking down is it like she wants kanade to help save herself before anyone else? especially with the blood-looking stuff falling from where shes sitting, mafuyu and the rest of n25 is being forced to watch kanade hurt herself in an attempt to help others. and that makes my heart explode because oh my god kanade please!!!! you need to be ok too!!!!!!!

plus the dna-like decorations all around?? hello?? the song is such a banger too, and the fact everyone has something that looks like the stereotypical dna image is just another connection between all of n25, its a sign they need eachother, like how dna is intertwined!!! plus after all of the stuff thats happened in the story so far, its clear they depend on the rest of the group to even have a reason to live. like how mizuki literally said she wants to disapear like how mafuyu did at the start of the story, and ena being so close to giving up on art all together multiple times, only for all of them to be stopped by others? we finally get to see kanade be saved for once hopefully!!! (i need to finish reading the story, might update this later when i do)

kanade please, let the other members of n25 save you girl </3 you deserve happiness just like everyone else

Lestat’s expression always gets me. He truly thought Louis had died, that he’ll never see him again, and instead there he is, standing in front of him, talking to him. And Lestat might’ve even thought he was a hallucination, but then Louis started thanking him for the dark gift, and he just had to ask him about 1973, because if that’s the real Louis it means he’s here, he’s well, he’s alive. And then this happens, and the relief on Lestat’s face is so evident. He didn’t think he’d get to embrace Louis again, and yet it’s Louis himself who dives into the hug. Because Louis missed him too, so so much, and now he can not feel guilty about it.
