i survived
rehearsal tonight is gonna be brutal
#actually it wasn't as bad as i was expecting. go figure#my significant size bag of trail mix and double strength mug of tea helped#sasha speaks#oboeposting#srb#also prokofiev? not as bad i was thinking it would be#i mean dgmw it's still a beast and a half and getting some of those fast passages down is gonna take a TON of practice#but after only one sectional and one rehearsal (and having missed the read through last week)?#in decent shape already tbh. and i have a month#even with my half time attendance and little to no outside practice time (as is usually my MO tbh) i think i'll shape up okay in the end#(sorry to the haters but no i actually don't practice much if at all outside of orchestra rehearsal these days. i'm a bad influence ik)#(i am simply 1. so busy 2. not a performance major anymore 3. way more productive at practicing when i'm not alone in a dingy practice room#(i have always played better in the context of an ensemble vs alone. always have. i am an ensemble creature not a soloist)#(still very glad i'm playing second though. first on proko 1 miiight actually be out of my reach this semester.)
