There's some spice to the young man today, Bones can tell - he's a bit snappy here and there, a bit sassy even, despite Chekov's usually so bright and sun-like nature. It is so unusual, in fact, that it makes McCoy pause in mid-movement; A set of brows knit, hazel eyes blink a few times, then flick up to the other's face.

"---A bit feisty today, aren't we, Mr. Chekov?", he asks, now cocking one of those previously mentioned brows, head tilting as Leonard holds the tricorder still, right next to the Ensign's face. It beeps a few times, as it always does, nothing for him to be concerned about.

"Want to elaborate on why that is?"

He's a doctor, after all - if Pavel suffers from something that makes him feel a certain way, perhaps he can treat it. Or... at least order the younger to take a fucking break for once.
