Going to be facing a struggle head-on that I have sidestepped neatly pretty much my whole life, so sending this out to the peeps if anyone wants to share their thoughts:

How do we react/respond when our prayers of intercession are not answered?

#a friend of mine died last night #my brain is telling me i must have missed the secret code of intercessory prayer #and i know that is wrong and that God may answer no bc his will and plans are better #but my brain is also telling me then why pray for help and healing at all #which is.... also wrong #anyways if anyone wants to share their thoughts or stories i'm listening #i know a lot of you have been through so much and faced seemingly unanswered prayers as well #i've been praying for him often but specifically last week felt called to extended exhaustive prayers #and though i am thankful my friend is no longer in pain i am struggling with this answer #(heaped upon many such recent circumstances where from my lowly earthly perspective #it seems like the best good thing would have been to heal them and prolong their lives #mostly for the sake of ministering to their families and upholding them)#anyways
