Cynthia glances over the bingo card with a bemused smile. Of all people, she hadn't expected Volkner to participate--but this is a nice surprise, regardless. (She's learned that Volkner is full of surprises. He really is a fascinating person, underneath all that prickly armor.)

Volkner may be moody, aloof, and rather unexcitable--but Cynthia just hopes that (someday) he'll realize just how important he is to Sinnoh. To her. The Champion knows that she can get carried away sometimes--utterly lost to the wonders of history or otherworldly whimsy--and in those moments, Volkner's blunt realism is an absolute boon. He's one of her most honest confidants--save for any discussions involving Roark, but that's another story altogether...

He may never match her energy, or be a semi-regular at Fantina's shows like she is--but Volkner is still a trusted friend above all else. Cynthia doesn't need a bingo card to confirm that.
