Another sensory info sheet I came across through work! This is pretty short, but it's a list of sensory things for changing how alert you feel.
Oral
Hard candy (sugarless if needed)
Crunchy food (pretzels, crackers, carrots, apples etc.)
Chewy food (gum, dried fruit, bagels, raisins etc.)
Sour food (pickles, candy)
Sweet food (fruit or candy)
Drink from a straw
Combination of foods (trail mix)
Rubber tubing or toy
Slow deep breaths
Movement
Push-ups/ wall arm pushes
Walk quickly
Run up and down steps
Run an errand for a teacher or parent
Shake head quickly
Roll neck in a circular motion
Jump up and down
Play sports
Do aerobics
Dance
Use a therapy ball
Touch
Fidget with various objects
Run gently on skin or clothes
Take a cool shower or warm bath
Wash you face with cool or warm washcloth
Play with pet/animal
Hold or lean against stuffed animal or pillow
Vision
Put on bright lights on if you are on low speed
Dim the lights if you are on high speed
Clear the table or desk if you are distracted
Watch fish in an aquarium
Read a book or look through a magazine
