I sometimes wonder if Owen Carvour was bullied in middle school

Not related to the above but I feel like Owen has pretty terrible abandonment issues. I mean, I'm actually certain he does. Curt abandons him and he goes on a killing spree. I wonder how many other people have left him, how many times people say they'd be by his side only to leave him when push came to shove. Owen probably believed it when Curt said it after some time, probably hoped Curt wasn't like all the others. Because Curt isn't like all the others, he shows genuine care for Owen. It's probably one of the first times Owen has felt comfortable with a person, because he knows Curt's going to come back eventually. Their job pulls them together, I'm sure the agencies put them on missions together because they work well with each other. Curt's in some way is the only consistent thing about Owen's life, which is scary because Curt could die on any random mission.

And so, of course, Curt leaves him. He's just like everyone else now, as far as Owen's concerned
