Hi! firstly I'd like to congratulate you on the release of Arcadie. Your writing has kept me entirely hooked that I spent the night on my laptop trying to finish Cyril's route. He proposed and I'm just over the moon 😍 tryna romance the other ROs at this point would feel so wrong now 😭

Anyway, there are some parts that got me thinking. What exactly does accepting the blood of Aether does? I know it's to give us more power but does it benefit us or Nathaniel more? that scene just got me so shooketh coz he was acting so suspicious and I was scared I was making the wrong choice. Hhhh good question. The short answer is I don't get to choose the hyperfixation. The longer answer is it was a character-driven ensemble cast monster-of-the-week story with a lot of tropes I liked, including in no particular order

flexible tone! sometimes things are really chill and goofy and somethings things get Dark As Shit! applies more strongly in the manga, lots of stuff got toned down for the anime

some dang clever plot devices to justify a lot of variance in the overall power level and threat level. This bit verged on being tedious (naraku must always be juuuuuust too strong/well-hidden to stop) but worked very well in a lot of smaller ways - weapons break or get new powers that are hard to figure out or are temperamental in general, characters have more trouble fighting when they're injured or depowered, environmental hazards affect different characters, etc. This contributes to the flexible tone thing, since a threat that'd be a joke in normal circumstances might be a big problem with one little situational change.

on that note, characters getting injured is a lasting plot point? surprisingly uncommon for fighting anime where there'll either be magic healing or single wrapup scenes of characters swathed in anime bandages. slowing things down to let characters heal gives more time for characterization and keeps the pacing balanced.

monster of the week format plus biiiiiig rotating supporting cast that can just Show Up Sometimes contributes to a formula that allows for a lot of unique episodic adventures

there's a couple episodes early on where scary demon shit shows up in the modern world! that's awesome! I wish more of those plots happened!

hhhh the romance concept of pts and fjx is rly rly right up my alley, philosophy×mathematics with the core of "true self", it rly... rly ticks all my boxes. how do i describe itttt its like, its like... basically, the pursuit of truth is the most romantic of all lmao its like how i think that physics is inherently romantic, philosophy and math are like that too. basically. i love the abstract metaphors and the in-character but non-public knowledge allusions, they way they integrate and make parallels of each other in their own fields of study (moon of entelecheia, point on the number axis). ngl i didn't expect this kind of thing in my idol-setting showbiz wn.

i feel like pts and fjx rly embody the quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, "Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction". pts didnt hate fjx himself but hated how passive he seemed despite being at the eye of a storm of rumors, and fjx avoided him bc it’s his natural reaction to someone who doesn’t like him. but at the core they have similar values and outlooks in life, just different ways of going about in preserving them. so once the ice between them starts to melt into warmth, it's rly... fairly easy for them to fall for each other.

i love how zhichu wrote fjx. i feel like true socially awkward introverts r super rare in danmei-sphere. there r mostly taciturn ppl who don't like to speak (hello stoic cold mls) but they're not lacking in the social capability department. when i read abt fjx i lowkey think, wow, i feel like that too sometimes lmao. it's also nice that zhichu wrote how there r ppl who questioned if fjx has psychological problems and responded that there r ppl who r naturally more introverted, and ngl i'm guilty of thinking of that too, even though i myself am an extreme introvert and should have been able to understand and identify more w fjx sighs

ling yi is an entire precious disaster bb and yybl would not have been the same without him

tbh yybl brings back all the sweetest memories of my kpop stan days, reading it is like experiencing ur fav nugu group blow up into stardom. they even come w their own edgy boygroup title tracks lmao. hnn but yeah, there r so many memorable moments. the accidental cp fancam (exid's fancam that made them famous!), faulty audio that catapulted them to stardom (gfriend's infamous slipping performance when they danced on a wet stage?), fjx's mic box almost falling off and him saving it flawlessly (shinee's dream girl perf w minho's broken mic stand), their first win, their first concert... i cried reading the last 2 chapters abt their concert, it rly made me nostalgic. anw. the point is. stan kaleido.

night trip tho it became so meaningful im so shook, it was a drama ost n they described the scenes where the song was used n i got Goosebumps n then the hidden meaning of the lyrics was also revealed n how it's all referring to pts and fjx's love story sigh sigh sigh

ok ok ok but i can't not mention the absolutely beautiful imageries that kept being used to reference these two. from math to philosophy to the moon to spring/winter... they're fantastic, i love the beauty in the writing.

Can I ask how you write Angor Rot so well? As in, how do you manage to still make him feel so true to his canon character even though he's gone through so much personality and character growth in your fic? I just can't wrap my head around how so well in character he feels even though he's gone through far more different avenues of character development in HTFaS than he ever did in the actual canon. And the way he interacts with characters he's barely even spoken to in canon just feels so natural somehow. (Sorry for being so long winded. >.<) Any tips on how you do it?

hhhhhhhhh, this is another tough question to answer tbh, as someone with basically no writing experience fdgdfhgdfjhgj--

i've just kinda been winging it?? like, planning how i wanted everything to go at the start kind of helped, since i have a full outline of how i want things to progress and it kinda helps me pace out angor's development through each part of the fic. as for like, the characterization part of it, i don't really know... i've watched trollhunters so many times (specifically the angor episodes *sobs*) that i feel like i have a pretty good 'memory' of his canon personality, if that makes sense? like, i like to consider every little detail about what kind of a person he's been, both on and off-screen. i think the fact that he used to be a really good person helps in making it feel 'natural' that he's been getting to that point again. like, if you think about it, he's always had a LOT of goodness at his core, what with his backstory and all, so i don't really have to put a lot of work into making THAT part of him believable, it's more like... applying the current part of his personality (the bitterness and anger and trust issues that developed post-morgana incident) TO his old personality (the caring and just all-around GoodBoiVibes he had going on) that's the difficult part? like, i went pretty in-depth about how i see angor rot from a moral perspective in this post here, so that might help put things into perspective better, idk, i'm just rambling at this point-

but yeah, it's kinda hard to answer as a whole... if there was something specific about writing him that you're struggling with, i might be able to help with suggestions better?? like, with him interacting with other characters for example, you gotta take into account his histories with each of them (like how i write his strickler interactions more on the awkward/tense side, or how with barbara, he kinda gives her more 'space' when they're talking, both literally and metaphorically, since he knows he right freaked her out in the past lol, and with the kids he can be a little more casual since they're more accepting of him and they're all kinda in the same boat of "welp, we all tried to kill each other (and succeeded in some cases) but it's chill, happened with EVERYBODY at some point-" lmfao, idk how to explain *sobs*)

(and that one clip of him in wizards is really important too if we want to consider HOW ABSOLUTELY GOSHFREAKIN' NICE AND PURE OF A PERSON HE WAS, oh my gosh protect this idiot) but yeah, i'd say just roll with whatever ideas you got and try to consider ALL parts of his personality, not just the nice bits, not just the mean bits, but all of it, he's a really complex character after all!

After… oh goodness, how many months??—I finally remembered that I still had not done Zhongli's second story quest. Which means, yes, I've only faced Azhdaha for the first time this weekend, despite having played since before the update introducing him even dropped 😬

I have also, since the same version update, been a Zhongli main pretty much nonstop.

This made doing the story quest a bit… surreal.

hhhh i've played a lot of really good games, so this is really hard to answer

I... Think I'm gonna give it to Bug Fables. That's what 2-am me thinks, and that's the most 'unfiltered true opinions' version of me you can get. Note, this isn't necessarily what I'd call my absolute favorite game - though I'd def put it pretty high on that list as well lol. I just think the action-command RPG system inspired by Paper Mario is just a really fun system, and I think having three protagonists to use in battle instead of one hero + your choice of a partner fleshes the system out a LOT, it genuinely feels a lot more unique when you play it then you'd expect. Kabbu/Lief/Vi are all really fun and interesting protagonists as well and watching them develop throughout the story is some of the most enjoyment I've ever gotten out of watching a protagonist grow over the course of a video game (Roland from Library of Ruina being the only real comptetion I can think of off the top of my head.) and alongside all that... The atmosphere, the writing, the style of it all - everything about this game is just so CHARMING. It's not without it's flaws, of course, but it's such a lovely little game that I cannot gush over enough.

There was this one old 3DS game I picked up once upon a time, however - Hometown Story. It's just this store-simulator sort of deal that you'd look at and think, oh that's some cross between recetear and harvest moon!

that's what it tries to be! you run this nice lil store and try to befriend all the locals! but there was so little to do, the townsfolk were SO boring, the shop didn't even really feel like a proper, fleshed-out minigame... It was just so BORING. I have not played a single other game that felt as empty as that one did.

8: best soundtrack?

Library of Ruina, holy SHIT the ruina soundtrack rules. I'm just gonna start by saying I was a big Mili fan even before picking this up, so when I first heard the opening? Chefs kiss. fantastic. and then Mili provided more music for it. If you don't think I've looped most of the Mili songs in Ruina more times then I can count, you underestimate me. I spent a whole day listening almost exclusively to Gone Angels when it dropped. I've played so much And Then Is Heard No More. don't get me started on Iron Lotus, or what a lowkey bop Children of the City is.

And that's not even getting into the rest of the soundtrack - the huge variety of battle themes, going from the nice boppy Malkuth floor theme to low-fi beats to study to on Netzach's floor, to the epic orchestrated score that sounds straight out of a dramatic movie scene on Binah's floor... All so good. Amazing. And the more lowkey themes throughout the game are also lovely. The music in this game rules.

14: a game you think would be cool if it had voice acting?

Honestly, most visual novels I've played that don't already have voice-acting. While I enjoy trying to figure out a voice for the characters myself, 9 times out of ten, in a game that's mostly just words and static sprites with the occasional CG, the voice-acting to really help sell me on whatever emotions the characters are going through. a good VN can still stand on it's own without, but it's still nice

In all honesty? I dunno? I can't think of anything even close to my range of interest that doesn't just already have a good fan-translation. if the fan-translation is good enough, I'm fine just having that, I don't need an official one

Hajime couldn't focus on his game, how could he? Chiaki's had her head laid in his lap, concentrating on her game trying to beat her previous high score. Hajime's eyes kept shifting towards her, her occasional sniffles made him smile. He wanted this moment to last forever but it was getting late, they'd be kicked off of school grounds soon. "H-hey Nanami, I found this pretty cool cafe in Akihabara, would you, maybe, like to go with me?" he chuckled softly rubbing the nape of his neck. Chiaki hummed quietly, "It doubles as an arcade." Once she heard that she quickly turned her head to look up at him with stars in her eyes, "Really? I'd love to go, when! When! When!" She squirmed in his lap and giggled "Well we can go now but I doubt you'd want to go in your uniform, we should go home and change then meet up... If that's okay with you." Hajime's ears had turned red, maybe if she hadn't moved around so much in his lap he would've been able to keep it together. Chiaki shot up from his lap almost hitting him in the chin and turned to face him "I've never been very good at dating sims but I'll try my hardest to gain relationship points!"

"R-relationship points?! Wh-what are you talking about?"

"Well in every dating sim you get relationship points from dates you go on, I must've already raised enough friendship flags to start gaining relationship points." She gasps. "Unless there's actually a zombie apocalypse and this is just the filler! Now that I can handle."

"I have no idea what we're talking about right now."

"C'mon, we've got no time to lose."

She grabbed Hajime's hand and raced towards the school gate, relationship points? Dating sims? Hajime couldn't help it, he blushed at the thought of going on a date with Chiaki, what would he wear? What would he say? Should he bring flowers? His stomach churned, he was nervous.

They were outside of school property now, Hajime caught his breath "So, should I come pick you up? Or should we meet at the train station?"

"Let's meet at the station, it'll be more efficient that way. Bye now." She waved at him and started walking home, taking her DS out and walking, how does she not run into stuff? It's a mystery to him, he waved and watched her walk until she was too far to see, he pivoted and went home.

She threw her bag onto her bed and paused her game. She put her hands on her heart & blushed like mad, what would she wear? All she had was her uniform, merchandise and cosplay, what would normal girls wear? She thought about texting her classmates but then decided to trust what's dearest to her, video games. She booted up Kitty Powers' Matchmaker and Hunie pop on two monitors and started to play, after about 20 minutes she knew exactly what to do.

Once he got home he flopped onto his bed, his mind was racing, what to do, what to do. He took off his uniform then stopped, he stared at his binder, would she mind? Would she care? Would she understand? He quickly put on a red long sleeve shirt, he felt plain in it so he put on a horde shirt on top, Chiaki probably plays The Horde...Right? He put on some loose jeans and as he was tucking his shirt in he remembered all those Tumblr posts about bisexual people tucking their shirts in, whatever, it doesn't matter. He finished cuffing his jeans and put on some converse, he tried sticking that one piece of hair down but no matter what he did it always shot back up.

Hajime: im walking to the station now

Chiaki: oki doki!! cant w8! >-< im omw 2!!

Soon enough he reached the station, he assumed she'd take a long time to get there but to his surprise she showed up two minutes later. Hajime's heart started racing, her cat thigh highs, her frilly skirt, her Resident Evil shirt, he felt as if his heart would explode and it almost did, Chiaki's hair was tied into two low pigtails, he didn't think she could get any cuter but there she is. Her jacket perfectly framed her breasts, he tried not to stare but his blush gave it all away. "H-hinata-kun? Do I look bad?" His staring must've made her self-conscious, he rushes to her side & hesitantly puts his hands on her shoulders. "I think you look perfect, not perfect like you're a god or something, BUT YOU'RE NOT UGLY, I've never seen you as ugly. Not that others do! I just think that- I'll s-stop talking." She giggled, "I understand, now let's go, my fingers are aching to play." She wiggled her fingers in Hajime's face.

Soon enough their train came, of course it was full, afterall it is a train to Akihabara, it's bound to be full. Hajime held the pole and held Chiaki close, she took out her handheld, muted it and played til they reached their destination.

Hajime sighed a sigh of relief as he stepped off the train, having Chiaki pressed up against him drove him crazy. She turned to him "Lead the way Master Cheif!" She was beaming with excitment, Hajime chuckled and started walking towards the cafe before he audibly gasped, Chiaki intertwined their hands, she looked up at him and smiled, her smile was his kryptonite, he quickly turned away from her and sped up. "H-hey Hinata! Slow down! I can't keep up" Chiaki was tripping over her own feet and the cracks in the side walk, she puffed her cheeks at Hajime, which in his opinion only made her cuter. "I'm sorry Nanami, I just want to get there before they close yknow?"

"I get it, just slow down a bit." She chuckled and tilted her head at him.

They continued on, they didn't need to speak, just having each other around was enough. As they reached their destination Chiaki's eyes went wide, she could see all the games from the window, she bounced "Let's go Hinata-kun!" Chiaki dragged Hajime inside and once she stepped in her jaw dropped, she felt as if she was in a dream, she spun around, getting a good look at everything around her. She jumped onto Hajime "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Hajime hugged her tightly "I knew you'd like it here." "Like it? I love it? Let's go, c'mon" Chiaki dragged Hajime to the nearest game, he chuckled to himself, she's so quiet and reserved but when it comes to games, she's a completely different person. He thought to himself. Chiaki couldn't take her eyes off the screen, she was so focused that she had her tongue sticking out a bit in between her lips, Hajime wanted to poke it, but why? He had no reason to, he stared at her, he could barely focus on his own screen plus she was doing just fine without him, the flashing lights hitting Chiaki's soft skin made her seem unreal, the reflection of her screen in her eyes, the noises she'd make, it all made Hajime's heart flutter. "I'm gonna go get us some boba, what flavour do you want?" She stayed silent for a bit "Strawberry...probably." Her eyes didn't leave the screen, Hajime walked off to go get their boba. Once Hajime left, Chiaki felt lonely, why? He's still there, he just left to get some boba. Even though Hajime didn't do well with the game she still enjoyed his company, even if he was just standing their, but Chiaki didn't feel lonely for long, she soon felt two hands cover her eyes "Guess who?" She giggled and turned around, not caring about the game, Hajime handed her the boba and sipped on his "Wow, the games are great and so are the drinks" Chiaki held her cup with two hands and took a large sip. Hajime laughed to himself and leaned against the machine behind him, "I found DDR on the other side of the cafe, wanna have a competition?"

She gulped. "I'll wipe the floor with you!"

"Bring it on!"

They rushed to the DDR machine and discarded their empty cups, obviously Chiaki picked the hardest difficulty, Paranoia Survivor Max, hijinks ensued; Chiaki was getting a perfect score as always so Hajime decided to tickle her, it worked, she lost her combo & Hajime continued. Chiaki puffed her cheeks "Hajime, someone's stealing your phone!" Hajime quickly turned around and looked for his phone, Chiaki laughed as she continued to play, they decided to focus on their game however Hajime isn't the most graceful when it comes to DDR. Hajime ended up tripping on his shoelace and landed on top of Chiaki with a thud, he's seen enough anime to know that he's probably touching her breast or his face is in between her legs but no, this wasn't an anime. Even with Hajime on top of her Chiaki couldn't help but laugh, Hajime slowly lifted himself off the laughing girl. His hands were near her head, he was still on top of her but he didn't want to move, he's never heard her laugh like that, he bursted into laughter, he didn't care if people were staring, he was having fun, she was having fun. Chiaki started to snort, she tried stopping but the more she did the more she snorted, Hajime thought it was the most beautiful noise, cuter than her giggles, cuter than her hmph's, cuter than her sniffles, her unrestrained laughter was music to his ears. Once they both calmed down they got up off the floor and smiled at each other, they couldn't help it, it was so natural to them.

"I'm sleepy... Let's go home." She giggled softly as she grabbed Hajime's hand and laid her head on his shoulder. He put an arm around her and hugged her close, in that moment, he felt perfect, no need for a talent, no need to be an ultimate, no insecurities, no doubts, he felt perfect... With her.

heeeeeyyyy!! how are you doing? 911 anon here I just wanted to tell you that I've just finished season 3 and now I'm broken. I need more I mean... I was used to watching 10 episodes a day and being kept company by those characters and now I feel sad...

ok, so final conclusions now that I have watched the whole thing. first off, I think hen is one of the greatest characters that I've seen in a show. a poc lesbian woman with a wife and kids, kicking ass, saving lives and being so incredibly smart and kind and a good friend while also making mistakes which gives her the human element but also being kicked a few times by life and still winning in the end is the most wholesome thing that I've seen in a while by show.

second I wanna talk about chimney. I knew I'd like his character but I never assumed that I'd like SO MUCH! after seeing his background story I had another level of respect for this man and I'm so glad and happy that he found someone who appreciates the real him. all of it. which brings me to Maddie. I mean.... come on!!! a bad ass woman who finally got her freedom and saves lives but still cracks and cries and cares about all the people she's helped! and she finally finds the man who can give her what her ex husband has taken away from her. safety! chimney and Maddie are the couple I will be rooting for the most in season 4 just sayin'...

having said THAT I don't want to forget the no 1 power couple of the show which is obviously Athena and Bobby. both with their own struggles and still keeping it together (at least most of the times). I can't express how happy I was when Athena and Bobby became a thing and Bobby had a second shot in a family! also, Athena a beautiful, strong woman who never gives up... ugh... that's WHAT I'M HERE FOR!!!

and finally I need to address the elephant in the room. Buck and Eddie which were the reason (because of your posts) who got me intrested in this show. Buck in season 1 was not a very likeable? for me. before Abby he was just portrayed as a young, impulsive guy that used sex to fill an emotional void should I dare say? and after Abby although he seemed legit about this relationship it just... wasn't working. I mean don't get me wrong, I liked Abby but their dynamic with Buck was just... not it. neither of them were in a stage in their life to be in a relationship and they just couldn't help each other. it wasn't their age difference but their lives were in a very different place. they were both trying to figure themselves out. so I think it was for the best they were not together anymore. now, I know that buck 2.0 was supposedly with Abby and after Abby but I think the real buck 2.0 was when Eddie came into the scene. Eddie is a very likeable character. he saves lives, he's a single father with a kid that he has to look after... his whole appearance screams 'NICE' and I know he's done some wrong choices but I think in his case the good outdoes the bad. and this is why I love buck's and Eddie's dynamic in this show! Buck's relationship with Christopher is just adorable and ever since the tsunami episode.. ugh... I mean Buck was in such a distress! the tsunami episode is so hard to watch tbh. buck was in PAIN! and I think it's pointless to just pinpoint every single moment buck was like a second father to Chris. it would take a whole another essay. anyway, in conclusion, yes, I'm rooting for something between them, but because of what this show has given us between buck and Eddie I still wouldn't be mad if they just leave it as best friends.

as far as the other characters are concerned, I think Josh has a special place in my heart as well and I was so sad for what had happened to him. Christopher I've talked about what a lovely, happy kid he is! he's adorable. Michael is also a great character and I was relieved in the last episode that he's getting better!

to conclude, this show was one of the greatest I've seen lately and thank you so much for introducing me to it and also for being there enduring my rambles through the whole thing while I was watching it.

I love how like, its clear both of them are absolutely anxious and worried about others opinions on them, which is clearly something they got from being Firestar's grandkids, deputy kids and leader kids. And bramblestar too, I recall him being quite the anxious lad ahhah. Sparkpaw will be showing confidence and being loud but the second anyone isn't approving of her or she does something "wrong" she gets small and quiet, and she ended up setting a high bar for herself by being good at hunting and fighting so I'm curious to see how that will go. Also there's nothing wrong with being guided through a crowded place to meet others Sparkpaw!!! I bet the two of them would be stuck without not knowing how to talk to others had Needlepaw not shown up. I love them, my gf is mocking me saying I'm a Sparkpaw kinnie.

Apprentices will like learn about a thing and tell everyone about it all the time and assume its always true in every situation and thats valid I love kids like that. Also in my head Needlepaw kinda looks like a porcupine. Oh boo she's fatphobic >:(

Overall! Frigging loved it this book was GOOD and a great start for the series I am very excited to read the rest, SO WORRIED ABOUT SKYCLAN THO AAAA the characterizations were great the characters were great the pacing was fun and I didn't get bored once!

I think o only wish I had read this sooner really so I could look up others thoughts without getting heavily spoiled about the last books, I can watch a few videos already though thats a start ahhaha. But yeah it was great and it felt very good to read, haven't swallowed up a book so quickly in a very long time!!! Very happy I finally got my hands on this 💕💖💕💖💕💖 cant wait 2 start the next one

@ladycavalier you've given me an excuse to ramble about my partner and also my fanfic. In practice, this works as a deep friendship where they just vibe together on an almost spiritual level. My first actual date with my partner every single thing went wrong, but it was the best date I've been on because we couldn't stop talking. In my irl case, I'm demiro and they're demisexual, so we've both grown into that attraction. At the start though it was like when you're a nerd at a convention and you see someone cosplaying as the same character. It was that Spiderman meme where we're just pointing at each other like "!!! You're like me!!! Same hat!!! I get you!!!"

And I think that's what I mean by the connection transcending amatonormativity. Even though I love the romance and the sexual relationship I have with my partner, I would be just as happy to be his best friend, to just have him in my life. We understand each other, we resonate like tuning forks. Being able to kiss him is a bonus. And yeah, I was attracted to them physically but wasn't sure how romance would feel, and they thought I was interesting and wasn't sure how they'd feel about me sexually, but that desire has come to both of us, and surprisingly quickly in a way neither of us are used to.

As for seeing it work in a story, @enbeemagical and I write a fanfic called The Snake and the Star, a crossover fanfiction between the MCU and The Dragon Prince. I write Loki as panromantic asexual, and Bee writes Aaravos as demiromantic bisexual. In our story, the two of them overcome individual trust issues to see that they really do understand each other on a deep level, and care for each other. I wouldn't call it slow burn necessarily because we do a bit of glossing over some of the months where that platonic affection grows. With the understanding of how my own demiromantic feelings have blossomed, however, I'd like to go back and write some scenes of those in-between stages. (Oh and as a bonus fun thing, Loki is asexual but has the green color palette and Aaravos is aromantic but has the purple color palette and I think that's the coolest)

Because I've been obsessing over Slazy again, I thought I'd finally answer the 30 days of Slazy except in 1 go 😂 A friend suggested a different last question since the drama's already done.

Warning for LOTS of spoilers, but that’s probably a given lol.

This is alternatively known as where I write essays about my love for stage direction, plot, and Norizuki Kouhei lmao

2. The moment when you fell in love with this series

My memory is shitty so I can't actually recall specifically? I'm guessing it's because my friends got me into Pedal stage and Mokkun and Maashi were amazing there. I’m trying to recall if I knew Nori before Slazy or because of Slazy but I really can’t remember, which is a shame since he’s my main bias now. Memory loss is very real for ADHD both short and long term 😂

Correction: I got my Twitter archive to find out since I used to livetweet a lot and apparently I watched Slazy BECAUSE of Norizuki Kouhei. I first watched him in Dances With Devils and got interested in him. Club Slazy cemented my love for him and now I am obsessed with him AND Club Slazy 🙃

Again with the shitty memory oops but I remember watching Sapphire first out of the whole series and being amazed at how they revealed what happened with King. I’ve been into theater since childhood so seeing different ways of staging is always intriguing for me. The way they staged the scene for the first time where King left had a distinctly sinister feel with the parts that were shown and how the actors portrayed them. The second time they showed the scene, the viewer knew more of their characters and the situation. The last time they showed it revealed the truth in a different perspective, both with the situation and how the characters really felt at the time. It was so fascinating to see the progression and the differences in the actors’ portrayal. I mean, I did love the song performances (and still do), but my theater nerd heart got hooked on the plot, character development, and stage direction.

Bloom and Q whether romantic or platonic tbh, there’s so much history between them and I loved seeing that and how they developed as characters in the flashbacks together, then individually, and then sort of together again.

But also CB and Q bc them being obviously soft for each other is so adorable?? Whenever CB goes “Q-chan, Q-chan!” and skips around when Q’s allowed to do parts in the theme song and A to Z and in Luv Slazy II where Q says he believes that someday, a lot of people will watch CB perform the number one part in A to Z, I also go soft hahahuhu

7. Character that you didn’t think you’d like but ended up loving

Cool Beans! I don’t usually like characters that are both obnoxious, overly confident (“machine gun narcissist” ohmygod), and highly immature but he’s always just trying his best and actually really cares for everyone, even the ones he claims to hate. I couldn’t help but love him with that.

8. Character that you want to return to the series in the future

Ya, definitely. He deserves more screen time. And it would be interesting to see more of his era when he was Top Ace, considering aside from Zs, under him were Odds, King, and V.P.

Also Riddle! There have been parts where he’s implied to be in the vicinity in the days 1-2 of the 2016 live and in the drama, but I kinda wished Win could have come back even for a short appearance like CB did for the final day of AW haha

9. Favourite antagonist

I think the main antagonists in this whole series are themselves hahaha but I guess if we consider the sort of? Oppressors? Then Mr. X. Clearly, he’s quite the twisted character, but there are moments where he wants the best for Slazy in his own way. Seeing his interactions with Zs and Q without the Lazies around was also fascinating because we get a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes. Plus Sam-san is BRILLIANT, he was so great at giving creepy feels.

10. Character that you relate to the most

A friend said that I was essentially the Q of our group lol. While I disagreed to some extent, I do actually relate to Q, mainly in a work setting. I’ve always been pulled into leadership positions and it’s been a bit like Q’s (including where I seem to end up having to do other tasks as needed). As a team leader, it’s been my responsibility to manage my team members, but I dislike micromanaging, and people have different ways of how they’d work best anyway so I prefer that they figure out some things on their own. Also the frustration of getting caught in between wanting to do what’s best for your team but also being obligated to follow what the upper management wants to be done--this is an ongoing struggle for me. Sometimes, I have to resort to manipulating certain situations to get the best balance. Seriously, watching AW is painful on so many levels because sometimes, I feel like I’m stuck like Q in my position because I don’t want to leave my team to the mercy of the upper management.

Oops I went off there, sorry. My situation at work is currently very much like Q hahaha no promotion, but I have to guide my new supervisor. Being the senior to someone new at a higher position is...a weird experience. And a lot of people recently left so it’s been a challenge keeping things together. See? Very much like Slazy hahahaha shit bye

13. Favourite play in the series

Topaz, because the staging was so impeccable holy shit. From the reveal of the past between 8 and 9 to how they revealed that Jr was Deep--actually, especially that. The scene where Mokkun was interacting as both 8 and Bloom with Jr and Deep was just perfectly timed in the whole show and just really well-executed. I love seeing abrupt character changes because I know how challenging it is to pull off. Topaz also had some of my favorite versions of songs like...the Patient of Love with Jr, 8, and 9 was so fucking adorable and gave such strong found family feels. And Deep’s Runaway Pierrot was Ryo’s best performance of the song imo. Money Money and Roller Coaster Life (+ Q’s Question) were also first introduced here (I can’t stress enough how happy I was to see Nori performing songs that showcased his range perfectly). And of course, more insight into Q’s character and the Mystics in general. I also loved how they tied back CB's flashbacks from Sapphire in more detail with DooBop present, adding another layer to what was already shown.

14. Least favourite play in the series

Damn, this is hard. Probably the first, if only because everything wasn’t as cohesive yet there. And the cast members were still developing their skills and character portrayals. Though rewatching after seeing the whole series, it’s intriguing to see the elements that seemed so innocuous then, but actually had significance later (something that happens commonly throughout the series).

15. Scene that makes you cry

Holy shit. Anything from 2nd onwards has these hahaha but probably in AW when Act comes back to Slazy alone, leaving Will and V.P, and he gets suddenly promoted to Top Ace--when the consequences of him essentially saving himself sinks in and Mr. X makes him sing Sayonara. Seeing Will and V.P get separated was already painful, and then this was the scene that came after, of course it makes me cry every time. Maashi’s singing of Sayonara was particularly heart-wrenching here too. This, among other things, is the reason why I don’t rewatch AW as often as the other parts even though it’s my top 2 fave. I need to mentally and emotionally prepare myself before it hahaha

16. Scene that makes you laugh

In Luv Slazy II, where Deep and End mocks Cool Beans’ call for Bloom to come back in Onyx. It was fucking hilarious how they incorporated the band into each line ohmygod it was so chaotic. CB’s not visible during this part but his dying noises were so funny lmao it makes me laugh every time I even think of it 😂 also the ending scene bc the way Q addresses Bloom was just so sarcastic right after how sincere he was with CB, then he actually laughed. It was also funny to hear the audience’s confused noises at the interaction since this was right before 8/9 history was revealed 😂😂😂

17. Scene that surprised you

There were a LOT of moments since the plot was built around revelations...but the most surprising for me was the end of AW where Q reveals that the audience were Mystics and that they erase the footsteps so the people at Slazy don’t find out. I mean. What the fuck. I had to replay it to make sure I understood right. Repeatedly. And unlike with Final onwards, I had no spoilers for this since I got into the fandom only a month or so before AW was released on DVD. I love the idea of literally being sort of part of the play though it's not an entirely new concept, but damn this series. Q has always been addressing the audience to essentially explain how Slazy operates, but I thought it was just to help us understand the complexity like some other plays do. And spinning it like that was shocking for me, especially when it was done at the end of AW, where the only hint to it was Deep vaguely recalling a Mystic number 386. At least in the other parts, it felt like there were build-ups to the revelations. But this one? Damn, if AW didn't give me a whiplash from everything.

This question is too hard, I have so many favorites 😂 But off the top of my head, in no particular order: Roller Coaster Life in Garnet, Moshimo in Luv Slazy II and AW, Curtain Song in Luv Slazy II, Mahou no Houki, Wasurenaide, and Garnet Star in 1st, Money Money (Q ft. Bloom ver.) and Garnet Star (Deep ft. Bloom ver. ofc bc WANTUTRIPOR) in 2016 live, Patient of Love in Topaz…I should probably stop before I end up enumerating everything 😂

20. Song that you didn’t like at first but grew to love

Ai wa Maboroshi! Izawa's singing is great, but I didn't like the feel of the song at first. But I eventually did as I heard it more later on. And then INZ sang it in 2016, plus the version w/ Kimeru like. Yo. Wtf. How could I not like it after that 😂

22. You would be happy if you never heard this song again

Not exactly a whole song, but in Onyx, when Riddle was singing Fake and Fly was inserting the "This is my special place" lines. Admittedly, I'm not as thrilled with Kouji's singing in general, especially with how Fly is supposedly a better singer than Graf. Imo Takeru is better in terms of technique and control (which I personally prioritize), though I get that Kouji has more of the power and Takeru really is the better dancer so I can see the merit. For 3rd's Fake though, idk who decided to make him insert in that way, it really didn't fit for me. I don't blame Kouji though, it was more of the arrangement that I had an issue with.

I don't really have a full song I don't want to hear again. The composers were great! It's just the arrangements I don't always like but that's normal 🤷

Wasurenaide sung by King, bc it fits Daichan's vocal quality and range. Maybe Mahou no Houki sung by Bloom for the same reason. Or Marionette by Q, both bc it's in Nori's range and it seems interesting having Q singing those lyrics. It would definitely have a different feel compared to X.

24. Song from elsewhere that you want to see performed in Club Slazy

Is it cheating if I say "Rhythm in Me" from the Japanese adaptation of Altar Boyz? For context, it's THIS SONG but with Nori singing the "put it in me" translated into 「入れてちょうだい」 like boiiii this was religious on a different level, you didn’t have to make it sound so sexy 🙃 Despite the actual lyrics and context, I feel like the Japanese arrangement of the song really fits well in Slazy 😂 I want to see Maashi performing in this song as Act instead of Matthew (fuck) and probably Bloom singing Mark's parts. Or Odds. Ohgod just imagining Mokkun or Ray singing 入れて by syllable in a seducing manner is killing me 😂😂😂

I'm trying (and failing) not to imagine if Nori would sing this as Q instead of Mark because that's a fucking deadly idea and giving me Money flashbacks (aka when I died). As a mutual said, if Nori was casted as a Lazy instead, 386 would be dead. Can confirm I would but maybe that’s my bias talking lol

(Outside of this song, Nori was so adorable as Mark okay just let him be in gay with Maashi Matthew--and I'll stop here bc my brain is recalling the cute Matthew/Mark flashback scene and that's a spoiler for a different butai and it makes me wish more I could've flied back to Japan this month to watch their latest tour 😭)

It's probably a tie between the plot and stage direction, but they go together anyway. I love the songs to bits along with the cast and characters, but I wouldn't have been this obsessed with Slazy if it weren't for the plot and direction.

28. One thing you would change

More technical but the blockings and leveling in Luv Slazy II 😂 Kinda forgivable since it was a live with a smaller stage and a band at the back, but there were parts where some actors were covering someone else despite being in a scene with only a few people. It was even more obvious with how the footage was just a stationary camera focused on the middle. My theater teachers have always been strict about blocking so that stuck with me oop

Ok but also how autotuned some of the studio recordings of the songs are. Like. Um. Pls it's ok if they make mistakes even in studio recording, just keep the sound of their vocal quality 😭

30. What would you want to see from Slazy if they ever do another one?

The era before King was Top Ace, because I feel like V.P being Odds and King's kouhai is something to explore. Also when whoever Lazy suggested Q's hairstyle back then. Or Bloom and Q actually reconciling after Malachite bc wtf why is there additional drama between these two at the end smh they had enough unresolved tension ok

Alternatively, I’d like them to do another live like Luv Slazy II beause I really enjoyed them having a live band and hearing the different song arrangements. It was so fucking amazing. And they used less backing tracks so most of the lines usually heard as part of the instrumentals were sang by someone (mainly Ray) along with harmonizing (mainly Nori). It would be great to see something like that again!

(also Money Money Q ver where he does touch Bloom at 早変わり bc pls Satomi-san we would love to see it even if it might be エロすぎ--)
