Hello, Tumblr.
I swear I am not absent from this site. I check it every day. I have not had time to film as of late, so apologies for the radio silence. I'm workin' on it, pinky promise.
Sister has been up my ass about it anyhow, so... figures. She thinks I'm slacking. I'm not! :-(
I'll be around soon. Very soon. Sooner than you think. Sooner than I might think!
After all, Halloween is impending. And you know what that means...

its shy!reader's first annual frat house halloween party.
"the frat house hosts halloween parties?" you ask, your eyebrows shooting up in surprise as you examine the colourful halloween-themed flyer in your hand, your lips parting slightly in disbelief as you read the scrawled words.
"course we do, kid. why wouldn't we?" chris replies as he steps into the bedroom, just finished with his shower, a towel wrapped loosely around his hips. water droplets cling to his wet hair, glistening as they strickle down his chest.
you don't spare him a glance, too busy focussing instead on the vibrant orange colours on the paper, which seem almost blinding in their brightness. it's not that you're surprised the frat house is throwing a halloween party — they throw parties for just about every occasion — but the thought of chris dressing up? that's the real shocker.
you can't picture him in a costume at all.
"do you dress up?" you dare to ask, your voice quiet as your eyes flit up to him in curiosity. just then, chris drops the towel, pulling on a pair of plaid pajama pants, the waistband resting snug on his hips.
chris scoffs, "no." well, that answers that.
you chew your bottom lip, your fingers fiddling with the edges of the flying in your hands. "so what do you do?"
"like i do at every fuckin' party, kid. i drink, i take my shit, and sell my shit — what's with all the questions? huh?" he turns to you, his gaze intense, wet strands of his hair framing his face.
"m'just curious, is all" you mutter, a frown tugging at your lips as you place the flyer on his beside table. "am i going?"
"obviously."
"do i have to dress up?"
"do whatever y'want."
then, with a hint of hope, you ask. "will you dress up with me?"
"no."
oh. the bluntness of his response hits you like a cold splash of water. you blink at him, momentarily lost for words, a mix of shock and disappointment settling in your chest.
chris notices your silent and tongues at his cheek, scoffing slightly. "m'not dressing up, kid. i don't do any of that shit. s'pointless to me."
"but its not to me," you reply, raising your voice slightly, frustration creeping into you tone. "i like halloween.. i want to dress up."
"then do it," chris furrows his brows, his expression still stern. "nobody is stoppin' you."
"i dont want to do it alone..."
"it's a halloween party, kid. you're not gonna be alone." chris states matter-of-factly, and your face scrunches up at his dismissive attitude, causing him to click his tongue against his teeth in annoyance. "don't give me that look. don't."
"i just want to match!" you declare, surprisingly relentless now, determined not to back down despite the nagging voice in the back of your mind telling you to let it go.
"you... you want to match?" chris repeats in disbelief, staring at you incredulously. "like — like a couples costume?"
you frown, feeling your cheeks heat up. "well, when you put it like that—"
"you're crazy. you've lost your mind." chris mutters, shaking his head as he murmurs to himself. "couples costume, she said.. fuckin' matchin', she said."
"it doesn't have to be anything serious," you plead, trying to reason as your voice softens. "it just seems like it would be fun to dress up together. i've never done that before.."
chris goes quiet for a moment. he's still tonguing at his cheek, his gaze piercing as if he's sizing you up, and you shift nervously on the bed beneath his gaze, gripping the covers tightly.
then, a sly smirk creeps across his lips, and he tilts his head, scratching at his cheek. "alright."
your eyes almost bulge out of your head in surprise. "alright?"
"yeah, alright," chris hums, nodding as a glint flickers in his eyes. "we can match but uh.. but i'm pickin' what we wear. yeah? i get full control over our costumes."
"okay!" you excitedly nod your head, a grin spreading across your lips. "thank you!"
"mm.. don't thank me yet, kid," chris replies as he drops down onto the bed beside you, the smirk still lingering on his lips as he gets comfortable. "'cos you have no idea what you just walked into."
you hardly process chris' last words, too caught up in the thrill of him agreeing to your idea. you're buzzing, grinning to yourself as your mind whirls with possibilities of what you could both go as. you even have a few ideas swirling around, but you bite your tongue, remembering that he wants full control over the costumes.
but a few days later, with the halloween party just an hour away, you find yourself standing in front of the mirror, staring in disbelief at the reflection before you.
your heart races as you take in the tight, back corset that hugs your figure, accentuating your curves and pushing up your breasts. the sheer black pantyhose cling to your legs, leading down to the black heels that add an extra height.
around your neck rests a black bowtie and a crisp white collar, but it's the fluffy white bunny ears atop of your head and the fluffy round tail just above your ass that truly seals the deal.
you feel a rush of embarrassment wash over you, heat flooding your cheeks as you take it all in.
you're unable to move, rooted to the spot as your eyes flit to chris, who stands behind you. he's decked out in a red satin robe and black pants, completing the very simple hugh hefner look.
"well.. what d'you think?" chris asks, a mischievous grin spreading across his face as he takes a step closer, clearly enjoying the look on your face as he leans over your shoulder.
you swallow hard, still processing the surreal situation. "i uh.. i didn't expect this.. to be honest," you stammer, your gaze darting back to your reflection. "i can't go out like this."
"yeah you can," chris hums, his fingers reaching down to tug on the fluffy bunny tail, a smirk on his lips as he pulls you along with him towards the bedroom door, chuckling as he hears you stumble on your heels. "lets go, bunny."

Upcoming posts schedule!
Things are about to get pretty busy as winter is approaching, but I will do my best to make sure I don't go missing for months again!
So here's what's on the writing docket in list of priority!
1. Standard imagines
Should note that I'm beginning to feel in the mood to write Genshin again, but other than that it's pretty much stuff that I've been writing as normal, nothing special.
2. GFL Halloween Special: Candæmonium
Springfield and G36 Halloween shenanigans will be posted before/during Halloween at the very least. Just actually gotta get around to starting it...
3. Original Story: 916
THIS is a story I'm extremely excited to show you all and hopefully get feedback, but more info on that in a little bit!
In a nutshell, it's an original mecha story, HEAVILY inspired by Gundam.
4. This world's evil god sucks, I'LL SHOW YOU HOW IT'S DONE!
No way in HELL Act 1 is getting finished before the New Year, but I hope those of you who actually read it are enjoying it thus far, and words cannot express how much it means to me that you are even reading it! Thank you so much!
5. Drawing stuff
I'm starting to get the hang of drawing to a point of where I don't wanna gouge my own eyes out when I finish a piece, so hopefully it'll mean you can get some variety for the blog/get to see the visuals for some of my characters in my stories!
6. Possible one-shots of other franchises/crossovers: I.E Fire Emblem, Warhammer 40,000, XCOM
Mostly just stuff related to the blog that I think will give ya'll a giggle or two, everythings still swimming around in the ocean of weird shit that is my brain, but this'll probably show up after the new year.
====
And that's pretty much all that comes to mind, thanks everyone for your patience as usual, and thanks for continuing to read my thirsting/weird ideas!
You guys are the reason I continue to love writing, and I hope it comes across in my work!

Updates - October 26th 2024 (at 6 in the morning, I should be in bed)
The Disaster Archives - Everyday She's not coming off of my project queue, you will have to take her from me via a custody lawsuit. Naw, I still pick at this randomly with new ideas. I literally just worked on some stuff last week. I've got some big gaps in the story I'm trying to fill. At this point, I'm hoping to at least have a treatment for the story done by the end of the year and I promise that, as long as nothing else gets in my way, I WILL start writing this in some way by January of 2025. I have some slightly ambitious ideas for its script, but we'll see if I can make those realities somehow.
Running With the Devil Hey um... this might have accidentally gotten bumped up to "a project I'm accidentally taking seriously." It's still a goof off project, but I'm having way too much fun with it, shit's gettin' serious. Second chapter is about done and ready to be edited. Again, thus so far, this is only being posted to Sheezy. Not trying to encourage y'all over there, it's just literally the only place I can post this.
Gallery Project(s) There's another gallery around here looking for submissions, even highly encouraging gay artists (hey, that's me!). Deadline is in November and I want to finish this by the first week of November at the latest, so expect me to start this soon. I will be looking for other gallery projects to do in Spokane. It's been suggested to me to make works for Mental Health Awareness Month next year, and I'm all for doing that.
Smash Machinima - What Is It, and How It's Made After making my Joker Persona video, I got the idea that perhaps a lot of y'all don't know what Smash Machinima is. Not to mention that its history and techniques are kinda slowly dying. So in an effort to fill a gap no one asked for, I've started writing this. This is the next project I'm jumping into once I'm done with the video currently sitting in Resolve (a highlight reel of the second audio pack). I've written the "what is it" part mostly, next I have to write how it's made and then begin all of the filming for it.
How Rez Addison Stole My Name I definitely want to come back to this script, this was me popping off with some of the best writing I've done outside of TDA, but like I have said, this was a really painful script to write. I have to rewrite massive chunks of it, and I'm just not feeling up for that right now due to my current arrangements at home (I want to read the script out loud as I go, and I can't do that when I'm sitting in the living room with other people is the short answer).
New Concept Album (Title Undecided) Need to develop the story more before I decide on a title. I did start working on this like two weeks ago with an outline for the story, and of course the making of 1982. I'm waiting for the moment when my brain decides it wants to spend several hours doing nothing but audio editing, but I am currently having too much fun writing. Music is hard calling me though. I also want to do another Tasukete/Kintsugi style album, but I want that one to come out naturally.
The House That Raised Me Missing a lot of footage for this, and with my current hip pain problems, I'm not sure when I will get back to this. I'd like to, but ugh, this was a messy, impulsive project that I am trying to salvage at this point. I feel like I need more distance from it before I figure out what the hell is not working in it. I might post a teaser video about it to see if I can gauge interest in the project to motivate me to work on it. I can do that by Halloween at the latest.
Misc Art Project That OC meme thing I shared awhile ago is the reason I made angry Demon Ash. This is a largish project that I pick at when the partner wants me to watch things with him. Keeps my hands busy. I also want to update Ash's bio card sometime to reflect all of her funky parts, as well as make a separate version for RWTD Ash.
This seems like a lot for me to be working on, but remember I'm picking at all of these bit by bit. Sometimes I work on TDA for an hour, sometimes I work on RWTD for 5 hours, sometimes I work on The House That Raised Me for 30 minutes, I'll photoshop something for ten minutes, etc. I'm hoppin' around and having fun.

"Ji, you did so great in these invitations!" Lisa squealed as she looked over the invite. She was currently crashing her friend's peace and quiet by giving her unsolicited advice. The kind doctor laughed alone and sent out the invitations with the click of her mouse.
"I can't wait. It's been a while since we did anything fun," Minji pouted her lips out. "I hope everyone can come."

In the quiet hotel room a small notification lit of on the phone laying next to a sleeping man. "Halloween party?" he said to himself. "That sounds like a lot of fun."
"You're idea of fun usually gets us in a lot of trouble," an older man laughed. "Give me that. Who's having a party?" He snatched the phone from his phone and looked over the invite. "How'd you get this? You're not going. If they see you they won't let you walk out alive. Not after last time."
The younger of the two kicked his feet and whined before taking his phone back. "That's for me to know and you to shut your mouth." Before he was finished with his words he was already throwing clothes at his friend. "This red looks great on you. I'll wear the black suit. A couple of masks and they'll never know it's us."
"You know that I'm not paid enough to stop you from stupid shit like this," the other huffed. "But it could be fun. That little bitch owes me."
"That settles it. Jaebeom and I have some unfinished business."

Masterlist:
The Taking
"My blood runs cold; Like the killer you know... The killer you chose; Oh, I'm the devil you know."
"The Devil You Know" by Blues Saraceno
Inside the children's clinic at Haddonfield Memorial, Allyson pulled the lamp closer to see inside of Julian's ear. "Mom says I got all that wax in there 'cause I wear my headphones all the time. As soon as I get out of my bath, when my ears are still wet, I put 'em in, and I even wear them when I go to bed. But I can't live without my music, so I just gotta deal with the wax."
Allyson smiled. Julian grew to have more swagger than any fifteen-year-old she knew. And when he lay on the exam table, she couldn't help but be thankful that Vicky wasn't in Michael's way that fateful Halloween night, knowing that Vicky was babysitting Julian. Finishing a good ear-syringing, no wax came from his ear canal. "Here, let's tilt your head, Julian," She told him as she helped direct the angle. Then she gently shook it. "Hold on, I think I see it."
"Wax supposed to just fall out?" He asked. He adjusted his posture, but nothing happened.
He winced at the feeling of the long tweezers in his ear before he fell back on his hands, putting a hand over his mouth as he saw the tiny spider Allyson had removed from his ear, "Oh, shit! I had a spider in my ear?"
"Looks like it," She said as she dropped the spider into a cup and examined it. "Maybe it just wanted to hear what you were listening to."
"Nurse Allyson, I think I'm gonna pass out."
She then wet a cloth and handed it to Julian. He melodramatically leaned back and draped it over his head. She couldn't help but giggle at the sight, acknowledging the paramedics that had been on their route back to their ambulance. "Hey, Marvin. Hey, John." She nodded.
"Allyson," John, Little John to his closest friends and family, flashed her a friendly smile as he remembered her from that night -- on his front porch, crying out of fear as well as triumphant as she knew she had led Michael to Mia that night. "How are you?"
Finally, her curiosity about Mia's well-being had arose, knowing that she probably wouldn't see John again for a few days. "I'm well," She nodded. "Can I ask you something? If you're not busy?"
"Anything, hun." He smiled, slinging his bag of gear over his shoulder.
Glancing at Julian still on the table, she ensured that he was taking deep breaths to keep himself from passing out, watching his foot tap to the rhythm of 'From Austin' by Zach Bryan playing from the nearby radio. She hated country, but here lately, after listening to the words, she began to enjoy it. True country music -- raw, emotional, and meaningful.
"H-How's Mia? If I had to be honest, I'm too afraid to reach out-"
"Don't be," He assured her, patting her arm. "She made a recovery. She had a beautiful baby girl. Ella."
Ella, she said to herself. "I had been wondering about her all these years."
"I understand," He nodded, his face falling to a frown. "Although I'm afraid that poor Ella has been missing since mid-October. We're all working with the sheriff in hopes of finding her soon."
Allyson's jaw dropped, "W-What?"
"Someone with bad intentions took her. They moved out of state and somehow someone with a cruel agenda just couldn't keep the past behind them," He said with a low tone. "Someone had put one of those AirTags behind Ella's hairbrush and whoever it was that took her had been tracking her."
Allyson's eyes froze over with rage, knowing exactly who it was, knowing that Laurie had recently gotten an AirTag for herself to "keep on her truck just in case it was stolen" after Allyson had to make another trip to the local store to get a new charging cable for her phone, the same teller that rang up Laurie recognizing her granddaughter and bringing it up with an innocent conversation. I'm going to fucking go off!
Allyson was at a true loss for words, unable to speak as her rage peaked once again. For now, she kept silent until she knew for sure that it was Laurie that did this. Although she didn't want to believe it, she knew that it was a bad feeling if the first person she thought of when finding out Ella was kidnapped was her own grandmother, that it was with a cruel intention. With that information, she knew that Michael was back.
John pulled her aside quickly and out of Julian's vision briefly, stepping closer to whisper in her ear, "Please, don't put yourself in his way."

Mia had wanted to step outside and get fresh air as she felt she had slept too much the night before, unaware that Michael and John were slipping hospital-strength melatonin into her drink at dinner. She sat on the front porch of the former Myers House, now known as her brother's home -- a place to have Christmas, a place to have Thanksgiving... a place to have a family. Although bad things had happened there, she felt that the renovation had given it a new life since Big and Little John purchased it.
She fought the urge to cry again, but it was uncontrollable as she ignored the worried text messages on her phone from friends and coworkers, knowing exactly why they were contacting her. She wept silently on the front porch as the Halloween decorations Big John had set up concealed her live form from onlookers and anyone else who wanted to be out of pocket on the holiday.
Both of the John's were gone at work, leaving only Mia and Michael in the house. She frowned as she saw Michael's mask still on the kitchen islander from the other night, anyone except Mia and Michael being too afraid to touch it.
Correction: even Mia was too afraid to touch it without Michael's permission, knowing the things that mask had seen over the years -- things Mia didn't want to see, but she refused to believe that the Michael she knew was not the man behind the mask.
But it was inevitable.
It was almost ten o'clock and Mia continued to rock gently in the rocking chair, forcing herself to look out onto the street in front of her, picking a random fallen leaf to track as the breeze picked it up, carrying it several feet away before it landed on the concrete again. She cried as she watched the leaf, comparing it to her sweet Ella -- being picked up and taken against her will only to land somewhere that wasn't safe... that wasn't home.
It was then that Mia swore that if she could beat Michael to it, she would kill Laurie herself or whoever it was that took her daughter, but she knew that if anyone deserved it, it was Laurie, although she hated to think so cruelly.
Her phone buzzed of a notification, causing her head to snap in its direction, hoping it was a call from Sheriff Barker or even a slight rising of good news. Instead, it was just a silly notification from her email on one of her online subscriptions. She couldn't help but glance at the message notifications from the previous days before, each one being from her friends hoping that good news was found regarding Ella.
Hearing the breeze pick up again, Mia began to feel like she was being watched, but she knew it wasn't Michael. Or is it? she thought.
Shaking the thought from her mind, the gut feeling was still prominent, causing her to feel uneasy. She tried to shake it off as someone taking a photo of the house from a passing car or from one of the other houses across the street, but this feeling was one that was similar to knowing someone was standing over your shoulder watching what you were doing.
Looking around slowly, she saw nothing but felt an immense presence close to her. This presence was not her Michael, not even The Shape himself, but what felt like a wave of negative energy approaching as slowly as a tsunami.
She stood from the rocking chair, leaving her mug of unfinished cider on the banister as she pushed her phone into the pocket of her cotton pants and shut the front door behind her, unaware of the open kitchen door from the other side of the house. Locking the deadbolt quickly, she exhaled a deep breath before turning around to suspend the sudden urge of hunger in her stomach as her chest collided with Michael's, a sharp gasp leaving her body.
"Are you alright?" He asked, rubbing her arms with his palms, feeling the cold kiss of autumn on her skin, sure that she knew he was behind her as he could have sworn she watched him come down the stairs when she entered the house, but he guessed he was wrong.
She forced herself to nod, "Yeah. Just a little uneasy is all."
"Even outside?" He tilted his head. "I figured you were in the backyard watching Scout?"
She furrowed her brows, "No? I haven't taken her out yet."
As the couple shared a confused look between each other, Michael looked towards the open door in the kitchen, briefly confused before looking at the empty space on the countertop.
His mask was gone.
Corey took a sharp breath as he had sprinted for a couple of blocks before stopping to catch his breath. The singed hair of the mask scratching against Corey's infected palm. Now sitting on his motorcycle, he brought the mask in front of him, sitting it against the fuel tank of his motorcycle, looking at the empty pits of the mask, wondering what his eyes would look like behind it. His trembling breath soon turned to a slowed breathing.
A frightening calm came over him -- he felt powerful.
"And what are you going to do now?" He asked with growing conviction, wondering if Michael could hear him although it was clear Corey was talking to himself. Slowly, a smirk crept onto his face.
He had plans this Halloween.
It wasn't about Laurie's plan to trap Michael anymore.
And it wasn't about keeping Ella hidden from Michael and Mia.
But now, a new shape has evolved.
Corey chuckled to himself, putting the mask in the saddlebag of his motorcycle, "Happy fucking Halloween."

Family
Pairing - Steve Harrington x platonic!reader
Word Count - 5,997
Warning - none
A/N - this is my first request and I couldn’t be more excited about writing it! if anyone would like to request something, I write for so many different fandoms that can all be found under my master list! some that I write for haven’t even been added yet so always feel free to ask! for this request I have decided to explore a Steve and Y/N brother/sister bond much like the one seen in my In-Between series (this is in no way connected to the series though and will showcase a little Dustin Henderson x reader) anyways, I really hope everyone likes this!
Request - I love the fact that Steve and Y/N have a brother sister relationship in the In-Between and I was wondering if you could do something on that like him being protective of the reader during the tunnels scene in ST2 @nerdy-collector-festival
Tumblr media
Steve Harrington and Y/N L/N didn't have the best parents in the world. With neither one of their parents ever home and an empty house most of the time, the two were often left to fend for themselves and it had been like that from a young age.
The only source of comfort either of them had was each other. Y/N and Steve's parents had been best friends since college, so since the day Y/N was born Steve was always by her side. Neither of them even minded the five year age gap between them and still considered the other to be their best friend and the person they hung out the most with.
Or that was how it used to be before the events of 1983 where the two witnessed some horrific events that were sure to be in their nightmares for the rest of their lives. It was that night when Y/N was fighting to save one of her other best friends Will Byers and Steve was trying to protect Y/N from a demogorgon that the two realized just how much the other meant to them.
And that realization was almost too much for either of them to handle. After having practically no family for their whole lives and then realizing that their best friend, the person who they cared about most in the world, was their family was enough to make them both take a step back and away from each other.
They didn't know how to handle this new realization and neither wanted to harm their friendship, even if by the two pulling away it meant exactly that.
So the year after the events of 1983 was tough for the two. It's not that they never hung out with each other cause they did, but their normal hangouts just weren't as frequent, the two finding new people to hang around more often. For Steve that was Nancy Wheeler, his girlfriend who he put all of his time and love into. For Y/N that was the members of the Party or more specifically Dustin Henderson who she had grown to develop a small crush on over the past year.
But then Halloween in 1984 hit and the two were thrust back into each other's lives, both of them realizing how stupid and ignorant they had been over the past year but still knowing that nothing had changed. Steve was still the protective brother — or mom as Y/N liked to say — that he was and Y/N was still just as loving and protective as any other sister.
However, the year they spent semi-away from each other made Y/N realize just how much she had depended on Steve. She had expected him to keep her steady when she needed it most, to protect her from everything bad, and to cheer her up whenever she felt down. It annoyed her when she thought about it and she felt guilty and ashamed for having put such a big responsibility on Steve for all of these years, wondering if all he had ever seen her as was just that—a responsibility.
So when the Party had all decided to head to the tunnels that connected to the Mind Flayer, the latest antagonist who currently had control of Will and who Eleven was trying to defeat, Y/N knew that Steve was only tagging along to make sure that she was safe and to keep her out of trouble. This was enough to make her frustrated and even upset, especially when she saw Steve get beat up by Billy Hargrove just because of her.
"Guys," Steve's voice rang through her ears causing the young girl to snap out of her thoughts as she continued to get supplies out of the back of the car, the others all roaming around her as they too got ready to enter the tunnels down below. "Oh, no. Guys."
"Hey, where do you think you're going? What are you, deaf? Hello? We are not going down there right now," Steve yelled almost deliriously as he looked around at the kids. His eyes flickered over to Y/N and Dustin who were busy putting goggles on and bandanas over their faces. He gave them a pointed look and said, "I made myself clear."
Y/N rolled her eyes and continued to struggle putting her goggles on while Steve babbled on beside them, slowly coming more and more to his senses as he managed to pull himself up onto his feet.
"Hey, there's no chance we're going to that hole, all right? This ends right now!" Steve yelled in frustration, but everyone continued to ignore him.
Dustin told his eyes at the boy and turned to Y/N, gently grabbing her goggles and fixing them on her face as he looked back at Steve.
"Steve, you're upset, I get it. But the bottom line is, a party member requires assistance, and it is our duty to provide that assistance," Dustin said, not noticing the small blush on Y/N's face as he finished fixing her goggles and gave her a small smile.
Y/N quickly cleared her throat and looked to the older boy who furrowed his eyebrows slightly at the two before shaking his head and locking eyes with her. "Listen, Harrington, I know you promised Nance that you would keep us safe," Y/N said as she grabbed a backpack that had Steve's bat poking out of it. She shoved it into his hands a little roughly before saying, "So man the fuck up and do your job."
She then gave the boy a sickly sweet smile and pulled her bandana over half of her face and grabbed a crowbar and a container of fuel before walking away without another word. Dustin smiled after her before noticing Steve looking at him. "She's amazing," Dustin said almost dreamily before he hurried along after the girl leaving Steve frowning and mumbling to himself.
Y/N didn't hesitate to jump down into the tunnel, the others surrounding her as they looked down the dirt tunnel that had floating pieces of decay in the air. The young girl grimaced before someone landing beside her had her turning to see Steve standing there. His head moved towards her and they both stared at each other for a moment before she nodded her head at him, the boy returning it almost instantly.
Steve then looked away before letting his eyes flicker over the scenery around him. "Holy shit," he breathed out, the fact that the decaying place they were in was supposed to be the ground underneath a pumpkin farm seeming totally wrong.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's this way," Mike called out as he glanced up from the map he was looking at, an X marking the spot that they had determined to be the best place to set up their trap.
"You're pretty sure, or you're certain?" Dustin called out from where he was looking just a little ways away.
"I'm 100% sure!" Mike replied. "Just follow me and you'll know."
Y/N glanced at Dustin and the two shrugged before beginning to walk after Mike who had started down one of the paths. Steve looked at them as if they were crazy, which was hard for them to see because of the mask, and he quickly stopped Mike before saying, "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey, hey. I don't think so."
"What?" Y/N asked annoyed as she turned to look at the boy.
"Any of you little shits die down here, I'm getting the blame," Steve explained. "Got it, dipshit? From here on out, I'm leading the way. L/N, you stick by my side, okay? Come on, let's go."
Steve began to walk forward, but didn't go far because Y/N wasn't by his side. He threw his head back in her direction as if to give her a pointed look and Y/N huffed before reluctantly leaving Dustin's side to go walk beside Steve.
It was only when she was by his side that the boy began to walk forward, knowing that if she was by his side he would be able to see if anything was going to happen to her. Steve glanced back at the others and gestured in front of him as if to tell them to hurry up.
"Come on. Hey, a little hustle."

The further the group got into the back of the tunnels, the grosser it became. Y/N felt as if she were going to puke by the time they reached these decaying flower looking things, the way they moved and the sound it made making her stomach churn.
"God," she muttered as she held a hand to her stomach.
Steve instantly glanced over at her. "You okay? Do you need us to head back?" he asked worriedly, the action making Y/N groan inwardly as she was once again reminded by how much of a burden and responsibility she was.
"I'm fine," she grumbled, but that seemed to be enough for Steve who looked back ahead as he led the group forward.
"What is this place?" Max questioned, her nose crinkling up underneath her bandana.
Steve ignored the girl seeing as he didn't know the answer to her question and just said, "Guys, come on. Keep moving."
The kids all shared a look before following after the older boy, none of them noticing Dustin who had paused to look up at one of the pulsing flower buds above him. "What the hell?" he muttered, but the words had barely left his mouth before the thing was suddenly shooting something through the air at him, the decay and dust hitting Dustin right in the face and causing the boy to scream.
Y/N was the first to hear Dustin scream and she instantly perked up before turning and realizing that the boy was no longer with them. "Dustin!" she cried out before running back in the direction they came.
"Y/N!" Steve yelled as he tried to grab her, but the girl was already gone.
"Shit! Help! Help! Help!" Dustin yelled as Y/N turned a corner to find the boy stumbling in her direction. His body collided with hers almost instantly and he gripped onto her arms while she tried to steady him.
"Dustin," she breathed out as her eyes scanned him for any injuries, but it was hard for her to tell when he was moving around frantically  and still screaming slightly out of terror.
"Shit!" Dustin screamed.
"Dustin!" Lucas, Max, Mike, and Steve exclaimed as they came running back over to them.
"What happened?" Y/N asked worriedly as she gripped onto the boy.
Dustin whimpered slightly before saying, "It's in my mouth! Some got on my mouth! Shit!" The boy pulled away from Y/N to have a coughing attack all while the five of them stared at him worriedly. Y/N backed into Steve slightly in fright, the older boy placing a hand on her shoulder to tell her that he was there.
Dustin continued to cough for a bit longer and even pulled his bandana down before he suddenly went quiet, his body freezing before he turned his head to them and said in a totally normal voice, "I'm okay."
"You serious?" Max asked as the group all relaxed, Dustin just staring up at them through his goggles as he gave them a nervous smile.
"Very funny, man. Nice. Very nice," Steve muttered before he turned and began to walk away. "Jesus, what an idiot."
Everyone began to walk away except for Y/N who just stared at Dustin with her arms crossed in front of her body. Dustin stared at her in silence before whispering out a questioning, "I'm sorry?"
Y/N couldn't stop herself from chuckling softly as she went over and held a hand out for the boy. Dustin quickly took it and she helped him up onto his feet, the boy stumbling slightly into her so that they stood face to face.
"You idiot," she muttered as she stared at her, her eyes flickering over his face while he just gave her a small smile. "I thought you were about to die before my eyes or something."
"I would never," Dustin replied making Y/N chuckle before she pulled her bandana down and leaned forward to press a small kiss to his cheek.
Dustin's smile instantly fell, his whole face being covered by an expression of shock while Y/N put her bandana back over her face. "Good," she said all while Dustin looked to her and let a goofy grin appear on his face.
"Y/N L/N, why is there any empty spot by my side?" Steve's voice echoed through the tunnels making Y/N groan and lean her head against Dustin's shoulder for a moment.
"I'm coming! Don't get your panties in a twist," Y/N yelled back before she chuckled and held a hand out for Dustin, the boy smiling at her and taking her hand before the two ran to catch up with the others.
- - -
"Alright, Wheeler," Steve said as he looked at the room around them that had multiple tunnels attaching to it, "I think we found your hub."
"Let's drench it," Mike announced as he looked to the Party, the kids all nodding in response. Y/N picked up her container of fuel and was about to start dumping out its contents when Steve stopped her.
"Yeah, you and flammable liquid? Not a good idea," Steve muttered as he took the container from the girl's hand and shoved it towards Max who took it, but not without giving Y/N an apologetic look.
"Steve," Y/N sighed in frustration, her eyes flickering up to the boy who she knew was just trying to protect her. "I can help."
"I'm just trying to keep you safe. That's why I'm here, isn't it?" Steve questioned as he glanced at the girl. He noticed Y/N's shoulders slump and sighed before squeezing her shoulder. "I know you can help, squirt. But right now, it's my responsibility to make sure you're safe."
Then the boy walked away to make sure the other kids weren't being idiots, leaving Y/N staring after him practically shaking in anger.
A presence beside her had the girl turning to see Dustin standing there with his head tilted to the side. "You okay?" he asked, his voice soft and laced with concern.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just frustrated is all," Y/N replied as she glanced back over at Steve. "I'm not just some responsibility of his, you know?"
"Y/N, Steve doesn't think of you as just some responsibility. You're-" Dustin began, but the girl shook her head.
"Sorry, Dustin. I just. . .I need to be alone for a couple of minutes," she muttered before walking away, obviously still upset and frustrated much to Dustin's dismay.
Dustin sighed and went back to drenching the area around him, the others all working silently as they could practically feel the tension radiating off of Y/N towards the unsuspecting Steve.
They drenched every inch of that place while Y/N watched from the side, her scowl hidden by the bandana over her face. It was only when the place was covered that they joined the girl at the edge of the tunnel they had come down a couple of minutes before.
Y/N shook off her anger and reached into her pocket for the small lighter, a smile beginning to grow on her face as she realized maybe she wasn't going to be completely helpless.
"You ready?" Steve asked, his eyes staring at the place before him, still not having noticed Y/N holding the lighter.
"Yeah."
"Ready."
"Ready."
Dustin glanced at Y/N and gave her a small nod before saying, "Light her up."
Y/N smirked under her mask before opening her lighter, a flame instantly becoming visible and finally drawing Steve's attention. The boy's eyes widened and he was quick to reach out and try and stop the girl.
"Yeah, no. Someone else is doing this, not you," Steve demanded as he tried to grab for the lighter, but Y/N was quick and held her hand away, making the others back away from the flame in her hand.
"What? Why?" Y/N asked in a panicked voice.
"Cause I don't want you getting hurt, you got that?" Steve muttered angrily as he tried to reach for the lighter again. "Y/N."
"Can you stop worrying about me for one second and let me help out?" Y/N asked a tad bit aggressively. "Since we've gotten down here all you've done is baby me! I can take care of myself, thank you very much."
Steve's eyes widened and he raised his eyebrows even though no one could tell. They did see him cross his arms, however, and heard him say, "See, this is where you're wrong. All I'm trying to do is protect you."
Y/N scoffed and Steve tried to reach for the lighter again. "I'm trying to keep your ass from getting hurt, got that? I've been taking care of you since day one, L/N! You've gotten into so much shit that I can't even count it anymore!" Steve groaned in frustration.
Y/N froze slightly before turning to the boy in anger, her eyes blazing with a fire more intense than the one in her hand. "Well, quit taking care of me! If I'm such a burden then why don't you just leave me the hell alone, huh? You didn't even have to come here, asshole!" she yelled.
Steve sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "You know I did," he said.
"No, you didn't. I'm not your fucking responsibility! So quit acting like that's all I am," Y/N hissed, her eyes pricking with tears and making Steve freeze.
A silence fell among the group and Steve was frozen for a second longer before he glanced at the others who had all looked away. It was then that he realized that Y/N actually did believe she was nothing more than a responsibility to him. This made the boy frown and he went to place a hand on her shoulder as he whispered, "Y/N, you're not-"
Y/N was quick to shove the boy away, a determined look on her face as she turned back to the tunnel. "Not right now, Harrington. It's time to light this motherfucker up," she muttered before tossing the lighter into the pit.
The room instantly went up in flames and their eyes widened before Y/N began to whack Mike and Dustin who were closest to her. "Go, go, go!" she yelled as a loud shrieking sound filled the air, the ground popping up and flailing around them, finally exposing the parts of the Mind Flayer.
Y/N stumbled slightly as she tried to get up, but Steve didn't hesitate to grab ahold of her jacket and pull her onto her feet. Y/N glanced back at him, but he wouldn't meet her eyes as he shoved her forward and in front of him, the fire beginning to make its way towards them as he yelled, "Let's go, let's go!"
Y/N felt a feeling of guilt wash over her and she frowned slightly as she realized that she might have been a little harsh on Steve. However, the boy didn't give her time to do or say anything before he was shoving her again and yelling, "Move, Y/N!"
The girl nodded and began to rush forward along with the others, Steve right behind them. All Y/N could hear as they ran was the shrieking coming from the small cave and Dustin beside her yelling, "Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Oh, my God!"
It was only when they were a little over halfway of the way back to where they had come in that something grabbed ahold of Y/N's foot, instantly yanking the girl to the ground while the others all ran forward.
A scream escaped her lips, her arms outstretched as she yelled, "Help! Help!" Steve was the first to react and it was like his instincts kicked in making him run faster than he ever had before. Steve was back by the girl's side within seconds, his bat raised in the air before he began hitting the slimy tentacle that was wrapped around Y/N's leg.
"Steve!" Y/N cried out in a panic as the thing began to drag her, but then Mike and Lucas were behind her and pulling her back while Steve continued to whack the tentacle.
It took a few more hits before the tentacle thing broke in half, instantly letting go of the girl. Y/N was screaming at this point, the part still attached to her leg squeezing her ankle so hard it felt like it was cutting off the circulation. Steve had the thing off of her leg in a matter of seconds before he quickly grabbed her arm and pulled her up onto her feet.
Y/N gripped onto the boy's arm frantically while he stared at her with wide eyes. "Are you okay? Y/N, are you okay?" he asked as he tried to calm the shaking girl down. All Y/N could do was bury her face into the boy's side while Steve just held her tightly.
"Guys, we gotta go! We gotta go now!" Dustin exclaimed as he tried to shove the group forward, but a growl suddenly had the group freezing in place.
Standing behind them, in the direction that they needed to go was a demodog. However, this one seemed to be a little different than the others.
"Dart," Dustin breathed out as he took a step towards the creature, an action that had Y/N quickly reaching out for the boy and patching onto his arm before pulling him back to her.
"Dustin, get back!" Y/N exclaimed as she held the boy close to her, her body leaning against Steve for support while the group all looked at the boy like he was crazy.
The demodog made some sort of noise that sounded like chatter and Dustin stared at him for a minute before glancing at Y/N. "It's okay, Y/N. Trust me," he whispered. Y/N was wide eyed as she stared at Dustin, but she eventually let her hold on him drop as she put all of her trust into the boy.
Dustin nodded slightly at Y/N as if to say thanks and to assure her that he would be fine before he turned and took a step closer to the demodog. "Hey. It's me, it's me. It's just your friend, it's Dustin. It's Dustin, all right?" he said as he pulled the goggles up onto his forehead and the bandana down from his face. He smiled softly at the creature before kneeling down in front of it. "You remember me? Will you let us pass?"
Dart suddenly snarled in Dustin's face, its own face opening up like a flower to showcase its teeth making the group all jump back and Y/N gasp in fright. Dustin didn't seem fazed and just sighed, "Okay, okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry about the storm cellar. That was a pretty douchey thing to do. You hungry? Yeah?"
The group watched as Dustin began to take his backpack off with the intention of pulling food out of it for the demodog. Lucas raised his eyebrows and muttered, "He's insane."
"Shut up," Y/N and Steve hissed at the boy making Lucas hold his hands up in surrender.
"I've got our favorite," Dustin announced as he pulled a small candy bar out of his backpack. "See? Nougat." Dart grunted in reply and Dustin took that as a good sign before breaking off a piece and tossing it onto the ground. Dart leaned forward and sniffed the candy before slowly beginning to eat it which made Dustin smile.
"Look at that. Yummy. Here, all right? Eat up, buddy," Dustin said before tossing the rest of the candy onto the ground. He then stood up and glanced back at his friends before nodding at them to go ahead.
"Come on. Come on," Steve whispered as he began to walk forward, his hand intertwined with Y/N who wouldn't let go. "Let's go."
The group slowly snuck by Dart and watched as Dustin smiled at the creature, "There's plenty. I've got more." Dustin threw one more bar onto the ground before staring down at the demodog. He smiled sadly before whispering, "Goodbye, buddy."
He then turned and his eyes locked with Y/N who merely held a hand out for him. Dustin took it and the group began to move forward again, leaving Dart behind to eat his nougat while Steve's voice echoed in the air.
"Let's go, let's go!"
- - -
The group hadn't been walking for long before they soon realized that the demodogs were after them, the roaring behind them being enough evidence to prove the fact. Steve was pulling Y/N along at this point, the other kids all stumbling behind them as they ran through the tunnel.
"Run! Run! Let's go! Let's go!"
"There!" Y/N yelled as she pointed a little ways ahead of them where the rope they had used to get down into the tunnels could be seen hanging in the hole.
The group picked up their speed and made it to the rope where Max instantly began to climb up with the help of Steve. Lucas went next and then Mike before Dustin quickly followed.
That left Steve and Y/N, the later shoving the boy towards the rope and saying, "It's easier if you go up and then pull me up from there! Now move!" Steve didn't have time to yell back because the growling was only getting closer and the kids were all yelling at him to hurry up.
"Come on! Let's go. Go, go, go! Let's go! Come on! Come on!" Lucas and Mike yelled as they struggled to help the boy up. Y/N felt herself relax once she saw that Steve made it, but as soon as he had turned to help pull her up, the growling had reached them and Y/N could see the demodogs barreling towards her.
It was like everything moved in slow motion at that point, her head moving so that her eyes locked with Steve's, a panicked look on her face as she screamed out, "Steve!"
"No!" Steve yelled, but it was too late, the demodogs were there. Y/N gripped onto the rope and squeezed her eyes shut, wanting nothing more than a peaceful and quick death, but before she knew what was happening, there was a soft thud in front of her before two arms wrapped around her.
Y/N blinked her eyes open before gasping at the sight of Steve holding her protectively as he held his body like a shield for the girl. Y/N knew it wouldn't do much to keep the demodogs away, but she didn't think too much of it as she just gripped onto the boy and dug her face into his side.
The demodogs pounced at them, but to their surprise, they only seemed to move around them, their destination being something behind them. The two pulled away from each other to watch the demodogs rush by, both of them confused as to what was going on before they heard Mike whisper from above, "Eleven."
It was when the demodogs were gone that Y/N finally allowed herself to look to Steve, her eyes wide with surprise at the fact that he had just tossed himself in front of her to protect her. Steve was breathing heavy and he pulled the bandana off of his face before tossing the goggles off and letting his eyes lock with the girl.
A heavy silence fell among the two and all Steve could do was stare at the girl who was staring back at him with teary eyes filled with confusion.
"You're not just my responsibility," Steve finally said, his eyes flickering over the girl's face as he watched her inhale sharply. "I've known you since you were just a baby, L/N. I care about you more than I care about anyone else in this shitty town."
He paused for a moment before whispering, "You're my family, Y/N." The words were enough to make her breath catch in her throat, a few tears rolling down her cheeks as she just stared at the boy in surprise.
Steve gulped and ran a hand through his hair as he gave her a nervous smile, "And it's my responsibility to keep my family safe."
Y/N's mouth fell open slightly as if she were about to say something, but nothing came out. Luckily for her, she was saved by Max yelling out, "Guys, come on!"
Steve nodded and quickly picked Y/N up before pushing her up so that she could grab onto the hands of her friends. She was instantly pulled into Dustin's arms, the boy gripping onto her tightly as the others all joined in on hugging the girl who they thought had been a goner only moments before.
While this happened, Steve managed to climb his way out of the hole, letting out a small grunt as he pulled himself up onto his feet. He took in a deep breath before turning his head, his eyes instantly locking with Y/N who gave him a small smile.
Steve couldn't help but smile back before he nodded at the girl and began walking back towards the car. And all Y/N could do was stare after him with unspoken words on the tip of her tongue.
You're my family too.
- - -
"Holy shit, aren't you looking gorgeous tonight," Steve teased as he leaned against his car, his eyes on Y/N who was walking towards his car in a navy dress, her hair back in a messy braid while her navy converse squeaked against the ground.
Y/N blushed and tugged at her dress slightly, feeling a bit uncomfortable and wanting nothing more than to be in her favorite pair of sweatpants right at that moment. "Shut up," she muttered, her cheeks heating up even more when Steve let out a small laugh.
"Oh, come on. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I can't compliment you?" Steve questioned, his eyebrows raising as he stared at the girl with a small sparkle in his eyes, his smile so wide that his cheeks had begun to hurt.
He couldn't help but feel like a proud older brother in that moment as he stared at the girl before him. It felt like only yesterday she was still learning to tie her shoes and now here she was all dressed up and about to attend the big dance at school with a boy.
"No, I just. . .I don't know. I feel weird," Y/N muttered as she stared down at her feet.
"Don't be. You look beautiful and I'm sure Dustin is going to love it," Steve teased, the girl blushing even more at the mention of the boy who had asked her to the Snowball dance only a couple days prior. It had taken him two weeks to build up the courage to ask her and, with the help of Steve, the two were now going to be attending the dance together with Steve being their chauffeur.
"Speaking of Dustin, we need to go pick him up," Steve muttered as he glanced at the time on his watch. He pushed himself off of his car before opening up the door for the girl and smiling at her. "Come on, Princess. Let's go pick up your Prince Charming."
"Steve!" Y/N complained, but all the boy could do was chuckle in response as the girl hopped into the car.
The two sang along to their favorite songs all the way to Dustin's house, but by the time they reached the place and were waiting on said boy to come out, a silence had fallen among the two that made them both shift uncomfortably in their seats.
The two hadn't spoken about what Steve had said that day in the tunnels, neither of them knowing how to address it or what to even say. Their friendship was finally back on track, now with the exception of Y/N spending some more time with her other friends and allowing the two to have the necessary space away from each other that they needed in order for their relationship to grow.
But something was different and it mostly had to do with what had happened in the tunnels. Y/N knew she needed to address the situation, but she was still unsure on how to bring it up. Luckily for her, her nerves from having to see Dustin in a couple of minutes had her blurting out her feelings on the spot, making her predicament a whole lot easier.
"I think of you as family too, you know."
The words falling from her lips were enough to make both Steve and Y/N freeze almost instantly. Steve was the first to move and he let his eyes flicker over to the girl who blushed and looked down at her hands as she shrugged.
"You're all I've ever had since day one," she whispered as if it were obvious. "You're the only family I really know. I don't even care that we aren't blood related. You're more of a family to me than my own parents and sometimes I don't always show it. And I just. . ." Y/N paused before looking to the boy. "I really am thankful for you, you know?"
Steve was silent as he stared at her and Y/N couldn't help but feel like time was ticking by at an excruciatingly slow pace as she awaited some sort of response. But finally, a smile appeared on the boy's face and he softened slightly as he looked at her before he whispered, "I'm thankful for you too, squirt. I love you."
Y/N smiled almost instantly and whispered, "I love you too."
Steve chuckled and reached out to ruffle the girl's hair. "Hey!" Y/N cried in protest and she quickly tried to fix her hair, however, that was the moment that Dustin decided to walk out and she let out a small scream before smoothing out her hair the best she could. This only seemed to make Steve laugh louder and Y/N glared playfully at the boy before she quickly got out of the car to go and meet Dustin.
Steve sat there for a moment with a smile on his face before finally letting himself watch Y/N as she walked over to Dustin who had paused in his front yard, his eyes locked on the girl who was walking towards him as a look of shock crossed his face.
Steve couldn't help but smile as he watched the girl, his heart swelling with pride for the person who was his sister even if not by blood. And when she began to wall back to the car with her hand intertwined with Dustin, her eyes locked with his and she gave him a small smile.
It was in that moment that the two both realized just how blessed they were to have each other. They really were like family. They were the brother and sister that the other never had.
Steve and Y/N may not have the best parents in the world, but with each other as family, they couldn't have been luckier.

My other question is about your writing process: I saw you already had a number of chapters set for Incaendium, and I was wondering how long in advance you write before publishing. I've never been able to sit on my writings, I always end up pressing the 'publish' button too early. For my story I have an outline of the future chapters, but it keeps growing and growing so I have no idea how long it will be in the end. Sorry for being nosy, I'm always curious about the way people write. Thanks!
You are not nosy AT ALL! I don’t mind talking about the process.
The AU came up sometime in late June/early July. @get-him-a-body-bag started talking to me about a witch idea and I went running with it as this is a huge interest of mine and from there ideas just kept spiraling. We bounced ideas off of each other back and forth for a while. Then in August when we went to Steel City and met Zabka, Kove and Garrison I got hella inspired (hence Tommy getting a POV chapter which then turned into the idea of all “major” characters having at least one POV chapter through the story to highlight characters that maybe don’t always get the spotlight) and I wrote the first 5 chapters on the trip home from Pittsburgh. I had started to map out the plot earlier but the inspiration finally hit to start writing.
I’m a huge lover of autumn and Halloween so I decided that it would be really fun to keep this and debut it on October first, being a witch theme and all. It has been excruciating for me to sit on Incaendium for so long as I usually like to upload chapters as I write them.
The original plan for Incaendium was to do multiple short chapters, uploading one each day for the month of October. As you can see, that didn’t exactly pan out. August and September became a shit show with working two jobs so I did not get as far ahead as I wanted.
Incaendium has been fully plotted out and there are 31 parts to it. I know exactly what is happening in each part and who’s point of view it’s from.
I am hoping to upload again soon. Chapters 6-8 are currently in the editing phase so once that’s done, I’ll have them up. Sadly I have gotten inspired for future chapters so I’ve got chapter 13 and 17 pretty much written and sadly have not gotten around to 9 yet. I hope to rectify that situation soon!
Usually I post as soon as I have gotten my chapters edited. That is untrue for one fic other than Incaendium. I have a Shannon fic I’ve been working on. I started it back in May actually. I’ve always been fascinated by Shannon and “Let You Down” has been a pet project on the side. Sadly I ran out of steam on that one. Because the Shannon one has the chapters evolving as I continue writing I didn’t want to lock myself into something that I couldn’t change later by posting them. I am hoping to someday finish “Let You Down” but I have “If You Want” “Incaendium” and my LaRusso songfic series that are kind of keeping me busy for the time being.
Thanks for the ask hon!

Chapter 2;
The party of the year
//When can I say "I love you"?//
Tumblr media
Written part!
Word count; 2843
Tumblr media
Moons pov
It has been two hours since we arrived at the Halloween party and I already managed to lose my friends.
Again.
I stand at the bar alone and look around the crowd. I absolutely hate crowds.
I pick up my glass of water and move to go and find my friends.
This is the last time that I'm giving in to them. I knew it was a bad idea.
They were kinda right that I don't spend that much time with them anymore but that isn't my fault. I'm just really busy with school. Music isn't going to produce itself and films aren't going to shoot themselves either. It's alot of work, definitely if I want to keep my scholarship. I can't afford to lose it. Daniel always tells me he would pay for my studies and that I should enjoy myself, but I know he doesn't have the money to do so. Plus I am perfectly enjoying myself in the studio.
My thoughts are interrupted when I suddenly hear someone yell my name.
"MOON!"
I look around to see where the voice is coming from.
Then I feel a hand on my shoulder.
I turn around to identify the person who just touched me.
"Here you are, I've been looking for you."
It was Jae-hwa. And what does she mean, she been looking for me. I have been looking for her.
"Jae, where have YOU been? I've been looking for YOU. Where are Mimi and Yun?" I ask her.
"Well..." She stared.
I can already feel that something happened. Something I probably don't want to know and definitely don't want to get involved in.
"... Mimi drank a bit too much..." She continues.
" When does she not drink too much?" I tel her while rolling my eyes.
"She dank so much that right now she's puking in the bathroom." Jae finishes.
I just sigh.
Honestly I'm not even surprised anymore at this point. Mimi always drinks too much. It was bound to happen at some point that she was going to puke it all out.
"Are you serious right now?" I sigh.
"Yeah and it doesn't look to good." Jae notes.
"Wait a hot second, why are you here when Mimi is puking her guts out in the bathroom? Couldn't you better have stayed with her?" I ask
"I didn't leave her there alone you moron, Yun is with her." She informs me.
"That's the same as leaving her alone. Or am I wrong?" I argue.
There falls a short silence between us. Or well, as silent as it can get at a party in a club.
The silence only confirms that I am right.
"She didn't look that drunk yet..." Jae mumbles after a while.
"Let's just fetch those two drunk bastards and go home, I've had enough." I decide.
Jae just nobs at me and pulls me along to the bathroom.
This is exactly why I hate going out. So much people. So much noice. Strangers making out with other strangers and let's not forget Dumbass friends who are picking all over the place.
We finally arrive at the bathrooms.
"Jae, Moon tHerE you GuYs aRe." Yun slurs out.
Yep, she is definitely drunk"
"Eumm... She WaS hErE jusT a MomeNt aGo." Yun giggles.
"Yun? Are you trying to tell me you lost Mimi? Because I hope to God you are not." Jae barks
Well, this ain't good. Not at all. This is bad.
Yun doesn't seems to be bothered at all by the turn of events.
"I dIdN't lOse hEr, I jUsT doN't knOw wHerE sHe is." Yun tries to argue.
Key word; tries.
"YUN! You are supposed to be the oldest here!" Jae angerly yells out.
"I shouldn't have left you both alone.." she then mumbles.
Just before Jae has the chance to start yelling again I hear an all to familiar voice.
"Guys here you are." I hear a cheerful voice say. It's none other then Mimi herself. She sounds oddly happy for just puking her guts out.
"Mimi! Where were you? Why the fuck would you just leave?" Jae yells. Ones again.
I have a feeling we will be going home soon.
I like that feeling.
"I didn't leave, I just went to another bathroom stall. Mine was a little dirty from, you know.." Mimi replies rather calmly.
At this point I'm not sure whether she is completely wasted or wether she actually sobered up a little.
"Let's just all calm down and try to stay together for the rest of the party, alright?" Mimi suggests.
"Or how about we just get the fuck out of here and go home?" I hint.
"I lIke MimiS iDea bEtTer." Yun replies.
"Nobody asked for your opinion Soo-Yun." Jae hisses.
I hear Jae sigh.
That is not good.
"I'm JuSt saYiNg, I waNna sTay sO I cAn trY anD fInd My SouLmAtE. Isn't tHat WhY we cAmE in ThE fiRsT pLaCe?" Yun slurs out.
That probably means we'll be here for a while. This sucks.
"I guess you have a point there, I don't wanna die alone either." Jae agrees after a second.
"Let's get to the dance floor bitches!" Mimi then yells out and pulls me with her in the direction of the dance floor.
This night is turning out to suck even more then I thought it would. That statement alone says it all.
"I'm just gonna sit over there yeah?" I excuse myself while sneaking away from Mimi.
Without waiting for a response I turn around and walk over to the bar.
If I'm going to be here for the rest of the night then I at least deserve a good drink.
And here I am, ones again, alone at the bar with a drink in my hand. This time I at least know where my idiotic friends are. I look up at the dance floor to see all three of them moving their bodies in the rhythm of the music.
Lord do I hate parties. I do have to say that the dj isn't that bad. The music sounds good mixed up. But I guess you don't need to be a pro to be able to do that.
An hour later and I'm still in the same spot I was in the hour before.
I've got to say, things didn't escalate.
Yet.
I look up from my third drink of the evening. Only to see Yun grinding on a guy, Mimi making out with a guy and I can't see Jae at the moment.
I sigh ones again.
I'm way to sober for this shit. But I can't get drunk right now. That would mean I would be hungover tomorrow and tomorrow I have a bunch of stuff to do.
I take the last sip of my drink before I put it down on the bar.
Sometimes I really question why I'm friends with them. I guess because I literally don't talk to anyone else but them. We also have known each other since highschool, so that might be another reason why.
I get pulled out of my thoughts when I hear an unfamiliar female voice on my right side.
"What are you doing here on your own?" The female voice asks me gently.
I look up to the side and look right into some soft brown eyes.
"Eum., I eum I just don't really feel like eum feel like dancing." I stutter out.
I mentally face palm. Damn Moon, you can't even talk to another girl.
"Did you come here alone?" The gentle voice asks me.
"Eum.. no I'm here with my friends." I reply as steady as possible.
"That's good to hear, I've seen you sitting there for over an hour doing nothing at all. I got a little worried so I thought I should come up and ask you." The gentle woman explains.
"That is very considerate of you unnie." I smile up at the gentle female.
"Oh no, where are my manners. My name is Areum, you can call me Ari unnie." The gentle voice tells me, who I now know belongs to Areum.
"It is nice to meet you Ari unnie, I'm Moon." I introduce myself.
"Nice to meet you Moon, so, what are you doing here alone?" Ari unnie asks me again.
I sigh for the one hundred time this night.
"I'm not really a party person, but sadly my friends are. So they convinced me to come along with them. I'm regretting it tho." I ramble.
"Sounds like a pain." Unnie giggles.
I laugh at her statement.
"It is a pain." I laugh a little.
"Do you want another drink?" Unnie asks me.
"No thank you unnie, I can't afford to get drunk tonight, I've got alot of work to do tomorrow. I also have to stay sober because I'm fairly sure I'll have to dive tonight. Let's not forget my friends who I have to look after. I'm their babysitter after all." I ramble on.
"Not trying to find your Soulmate?" Unnie asks curiously.
"I'm not really churching for them .." I begin.
"Oh? That's unusual. Why not?" She wonders.
"Well, if I'm meant to be with my soulmate I believe I will find them without trying. Why try so hard when it should happen naturally. And even if it wouldn't find them, I wouldn't really care...." I explain.
"That is an interesting way of seeing it. I do understand your philosophy, many people just see it different then you do." She responds
Most people think it's weird that I don't want to find my soulmate. They all think I don't give a fuck, even tho that is partly true, it isn't completely the truth. I wouldn't mind finding my soulmate, I just don't think I should do such an extensive church for them. I want to be together with a person because I like them for who they are, not just because they're my soulmate.
I get pulled out of my thoughts when I hear Ari unnie continue.
"Although, I do know someone who thinks the same as you." She recalls
"Tell them I agree and that they're not the only ones who are strange." I reply while I giggle a little.
We talked for probably an hour like this.
We talked about anything really. She told me about her friends and her husband. Apparently she's already married to her Soulmate. She doesn't look that old tho?
Overall, I was actually enjoying myself.
I look up at the dance floor ones again to check what my friends are doing, only to find out that I no longer see any of my friends anymore.
You can't be serious right now.
I literally don't look for five minutes and they're gone.
"I'm really sorry Unnie, but I really have to find my friends. I can't see them at the moment and God knows what they're doing right now." I inform her.
"But ofcourse Moon, I didn't mean to hold you up at all." Ari unnie expresses.
"You did not hold me up at all Unnie, I actually quite enjoyed talking to you." I confess quickly.
I definitely don't want her to think she was bothering me. I'm happy it was her who started talking to me instead of some random guy who tries to get in my pants.
"Why don't you come to my coffee shop sometime, I'd really like to talk to you again." She smiles at me.
"You own a coffee shop?" I ask her surprised. She doesn't look that old.
She only looks a year or two older then me. I guess it's possible to own a coffee shop at such a young age, it's just very surprising.
I think she could see the surprise on my face because she stared to laugh before she started to talk.
"You seem rather surprised that I own a shop." She continues laughing.
"I'm sorry Unnie but you just look rather young, not much older then me and I'm only 20..." I mutter.
"Oh dear, I'm 26 years old right now. So that is not that near your age as you think." She smiles at me.
"But thank you for thinking I look so young." She continues.
Suddenly I hear someone yell, I'm pretty sure they're telling my name.
"MOON?!" Yep, that's my call.
"I hear you have to go to the rescue. And who am I to stay in your way " unnie jokes.
"But before you go, my shop is called Blooming, please do consider coming." She says quickly while waving at me as she leaves.
"I definitely will unnie, thank you!" I yell while walking away from her.
She was very nice, I honestly enjoyed talking to her. She is probably the best part of this night.
"Moon, jUsT wHo I nEedeD." The slurring voice from Mimi says.
I already regret leaving the bar.
"What do you need me for Mimi?" I elaborate.
"I tHinK it'S tImE to Go hOme And yOu neEd to drIve." She tries to explain to me.
Ofcourse that's why. I'm actually rather happy that she wants to go home, Because I do too.
"Where is the rest?" I ask her because there is no sign of Yun or Jae.
"Jae is AlreAdy By tHe car." She responds
"Oke that's good, where is Soo-Yun?" I imply.
"I'm..... Not sUrE..." She mumbles to herself.
I facepalm.
Did they seriously lose each other again. This is ridiculous.
"Just..eum.. just go to the car and wait in the car with Jae yes? I'll just go and find Soo-Yun..." I begin to explain to her.
But I soon realize my idea is very bad.
There is no way she would find the car on her own.
Fucking great.
"Nevermind, I'm bringing you to the car and you'll wait there." I reply quickly and drag her with me to the car.
Ones we arrive at the car I see Jae sitting next to the car on the ground.
"Get of the ground and get your asses in the car." I exclame frustrated.
Luckily both of them do as I say and get in the car.
I close the door and walk back to the party.
Great, now I have to find that little midget in here.
Then I feel a hand on my shoulder.
I turn around and am faced with very familiar soft brown eyes.
It's Ari unnie.
"You seem stressed my little coffee bean, what's the problem? Can't find your friends?" She asks rather worried.
Wait, did she just call little coffee bean?
Nevermind that, I've got no time for that, I need to find Soo-Yun and get us home.
"You can say that, I only can't find one. The others are already in the car." I try to explain quickly to her.
"Want me to help you out a little?" She asks me.
I don't think I've ever been so happy with help that I have been offered.
"That would be very kind if you want to help me." I practically marvel.
She gives me a kind smile and nobs as a sign for me to keep walking.
It didn't take us to long to find her, only about ten minutes. I think that's a new record.
After Ari unnie and I found Yun, we walk to the car.
I have no idea what the hell she has drunk this evening and I have a sneaking suspicion that I don't want to know.
One thing is for sure, it was way to much.
Ones all three of them are in the car I turn to Areum.
"I can't thank you enough for helping me out." I cry out.
"Absolutely no problem little coffee bean, I'm happy to help. But can I ask for a little favor?" She chimes
"Ofcourse unnie, what do you need? You want a lift home?" I ramble.
"No coffee bean I don't need a lift home, I've got one but thank you anyway." She smiles at me.
I urge her to continue talking.
"You have to promise and come by my shop, yes? I'd really like to have a coffee with you little coffee bean." She grins.
She then gives me a small cart with an address on it and contact information.
"Ofcourse unnie, i promise to come next week." I promise her.
She seems pleased with my answer and gives me a hug before going back to the party.
After she left I get in the car and drive the four of us home.
Ones we're home I get everyone to their room and then go to mine.
I actually had some fun tonight.
That's a first.
I dress up in my PJs and jump in my bed.
I look at my phone and notice it's already 03:18 am.
I had no idea it was that late already.
I lay down in my bed and turn on my alarm.
Tomorrow morning is going to be a pain.

Prompt idea for a soulmate AU (I'm a sucker for those :P): You don't see color until you find your soulmate. You only see in black and white again if your soulmate dies or if there's a really bad break in the relationship.
Here it is! Sorry it took so long, I was somehow super inspired and super stuck at the same time. It is fairly ooc, but kind of wanted it to be for an au.
Hope it’s okay! :)
Dee grumbledto herself, sitting next to her brother in the restaurant. They were meetinghis boyfriend, and his friend. Dennis claimed they were “just friends”but the way he yammered on about the guy was much more than she had heard himtalk of others. The fact that he had agreed to pay for her meal and a newpurse, just so she would go and chat with the friend he didn’t want to leavebehind didn’t help- Dennis was offering money just so he could see the guy.
“Here theyare!” Dennis whispered excitedly, leaning in close. Dee groaned, ready to killDennis for getting her in this situation. She recognized Mac, having only methim once, but the karate noises and smell of Drakkar Noir would stick with her.It was his companion, her “dinner buddy” that was an issue- a shorter, scruffyman in a wrinkled t-shirt and oversized jacket trailed along. He’s out with abeautiful woman and decides it’s okay to dress like that? Shit, she hopes thisisn’t him actually trying.
“Like Isaid, Deandra,” Dennis began, “sleeveless shirts are so white trash, but witharms like that, Mac can pull it off.” She stared at him for a moment incredulously-is he not hearing himself?
The two menreach the table and sit, Mac across from Dennis and the grungy one across fromDee. “Hey, bro, this is Charlie, we’ve been friends since, like, forever.”Charlie gives a half hearted wave, and Dennis nods.
“So, you’reDennis’ sister” Charlie says to her, and she can’t tell if he’s asking ortelling. She’s debating whether to give a sarcastic response or “play nice” asDennis had begged in the car, when she lost her train of thought. He waslooking right at her, and his eyes, they were so different than anything shehad seen before.
Instead ofthe usual monochrome palette she had only known, there was a new brightness.Green.
—————–
Dee walkeddown the hall to Charlie’s apartment finding herself excited, a combination ofseeing him and hopefully discovering a new color. He had called, inviting herover for lunch, one he had cooked himself. Dee had been to his apartment oncebefore- briefly when picking him up to go out; she wasn’t thrilled aboutspending the day in the small, dirty room but found the pros far outweighed thecons.
He answeredthe door quickly, though there’s no reason he shouldn’t, Dee thought, with howsmall the apartment is.
“Oh, hey, hey, come on in” he smiled stepping aside. She entered, surveying the room, realizing that’s exactly what it was. A room. No kitchen, no dining area. Shewas about to ask just exactly how he ate in there, glancing over the coffeetable littered with magazines, empty bottles and various empty food wrappers.Of course, he hadn’t bothered to clean up before she came over, much like hehadn’t bothered to do to himself the first time they met.
Her eyes fellto a small card table, a little off the center of the room, a chair on eachside; with two place settings, and in the center stood a single flower in avase. She recognized the green stem immediately, but atop where it bloomed wasa new color. Yellow.
——————————————-
“This placeis supposed to be really popular. I hear they make really good drinks and havelots of colors, too,” Dee explained, as she and Charlie rounded a corner andsaw the giant SUDZ sign. Neither had experienced all the colors yet, but therewas always hope of discovering a new one, and finding all the different shadesof the ones they had already learned.
They hadboth discovered different ones than the other, and part of the fun was tryingto explain them and pointing out what things were the unknown colors.
The placewas loud and busy. They sat at an open spot at the counter, and a man behindthe bar held up a finger indicating he’d be there in a moment, they bothnodded. Dee reached for a flyer indicating drink specials, when Charlie pointedat a group sharing something from a fishbowl, “I know what we’re getting.”
“That?” Deeasked trying, and failing, to sound annoyed, “what’s so great about it?”
“It’s blue!Like your eyes. And I want you to like it as much as I do,” he enthused. Sheunderstood, remembering the first time she saw his green, it was such abeautiful color, her first color, instantly shifting her mood that day.
The manjogged up to them, “How you doing? My name is Greg-“ before Charlie cut himoff.
“We’ll takeone of those,” pointing again at the table.
“That’d be aBlue Hole. Our blended signature cocktail. A great choice. It’s what werecommend to our first-“ he started happily, before Dee cut in this time, enjoying interrupting the man. “That’s great! Go get it.”
He got thehint to quit with the small talk and returned a moment later with the drink, two straws sticking out. For a moment it looked like he was going to try beingfriendly again, but decided against it, and left. They leaned in, taking adrink at the same time; Dee feeling like one of those couples sippingmilkshakes on posters, but not so cheesy.
She satback, looking at the drink they had shared, and it seemed to spring to life.Blue.

Dee hadnever celebrated a real Valentine’s Day before. Sure, she’s been on dates andsent cards, but nothing really went anywhere. Sometimes it was just a plan toget laid, sometimes she’d see the guy again once or twice; it was more of aholiday for following what movies and TV suggested, she never had actually feltthe things the day had promised.
She hadknown Charlie for almost 6 months, and was looking forward to the holiday, going into it with real expectations; though years ago she would’ve thought areal Valentine’s should include jewelry, chocolates, and an expensiverestaurant, she now found the idea boring and impersonal.
They hadagreed to spend the day together, with no plans, just each other.  She jumped when she heard a pounding on thedoor, pulling it open to see Charlie smiling widely, hands behind his back. “Imade you something,”
He pulledout a slightly lopsided paper heart full of bright stickers, two cats touching nosesin the center, inside a red hand drawn heart. ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ scribbledacross the top in messy handwriting. The paper wasn’t like the kind she was accustomedto, it was colored, too. Pink.
———————-
Dee sat atthe counter of the bar she had just bought with her brother, Mac, and Charlie.
It wasalmost nightfall in the warm summer, when Dee felt someone grab her hand. Looking up, she saw itwas Charlie, a lumpy bag under his arm. “Dee, come with me,” he whispered. Sherolled her eyes then glanced over at Mac and Dennis, who were in the middle ofdoing something… stupid. Deciding Charlie’s mystery was better than the othertwo, Dee followed him out the back door into the alley.
Charliereached for the roof ladder, pulling it down. She sighed, tired from the long day. “What the hell are we doing, Charlie?”
“Having ourown celebration.” he explained, then continued after catching the doubtful lookon her face. “It’s good. I promise.”He stepped back, motioning towards the ladder, “ladies first.”
Dee shook herhead. “Nope. I don’t know what’s up there.”
“Fine”Charlie started climbing, glancing back to make sure Dee was following. Shewas.
They reachedthe top, looking over the large flat surface for a moment, before Charliewalked to the center, dropping the bag; he opened it, pulling out a largeblanket and a couple bottles of wine. He sat down, patting the spot next tohim; Dee followed, sitting and looked around.
“Can youbelieve this is ours?” he asked after a moment. She leaned close, resting herhead on his shoulder. “No. I can’t.” she breathed.
They sat ina comfortable silence, staring at the darkening sky barely illuminated by the settingsun, filled with swirls of a new color. Purple.
———————————–
“We’re notkids, Charlie,” Dee explained. “Halloween is for costumes and getting drunk. Not carving faces on pumpkins.”
“Well yeah! But it’s also for candy and jack of lanterns,” Charlie fought back, patting thetwo giant pumpkins on Dee’s kitchen table.
“O, Charlie. It’s Jack o Lantern.”
Charlienarrowed his eyes for a moment, thinking. “Nah, Dee. I’m pretty sure it’s of,”he finished, grabbing a knife and stabbing at the top of a pumpkin.  Dee watched as he cut the top off thenreached inside, happily pulling out handfuls of seeds and goop.
“Well, I’m pretty sure the only reason youwanted to do this, was to touch all that gross shit.”
“We need decorations, Dee, if we’re really gonnacelebrate. Besides, it’s our first holiday at the bar. Gotta make it big.”
Deeresigned. She had never really enjoyed holidays as a kid; it was alwayssomething her parents had blown off, seeing celebrating for her and Dennis asan inconvenience. She watched Charlie concentrate on carving into the pumpkin, working in detail on his design, finding herself more focused on his excitementthan the actual tradition.
He looked upa few minutes later, spinning the pumpkin towards her with a look of pride, awell crafted glass of foamy beer carved in the center. The entire object lookedeven better when it took on a color. Orange.
——————–
“I’m reallyhappy Dennis dragged me to that stupid restaurant with him,” Dee said oneevening, as she and Charlie sat side by side. He tilted his head slightly, confused.
“I might nothave met you. Things might not’ve worked out, and we wouldn’t be here,” sheexplained. He nodded, “It is kind of cool.”
“I want thisto be forever” she confessed.
“Then, let’smake a blood oath!” Charlie exclaimed sitting up straighter, “That’s, like, thebest promise you can make someone. It can never really be broken.” He looked so serious and focused.
She lookedat him for a moment, considering, then nodded.
Charliepulled a pocket knife from his jeans, flipping it open. He held out hisopposite hand, placing the blade against his palm; Dee reached across the tablepulling one from her purse, and doing the same. They both took a deep breath, pressing down and pulling the tips across, looking up upon noticing that thistime there was a color to the warm liquid slowly pooling out. Red.
They bothsmiled, clasping hands together before leaning forward and touching lips, too.

This was really fun to write. I tried to use a canon-ish moment for each one, but had to really stretch on some. I thought about doing the death/broken part, but just couldn’t bring myself to.
If anybody else has prompts, headcanons, etc. send them to me. No promises they’ll be good, but I’ll try.
