Turns out I can still learn something new about my favorite band: Ron Blair played the fucking cello on "The Wild One, Forever"?!

It was confirmed by Tom Petty who said: "He doesn’t play the cello," Petty said of Blair. "He just fashioned out enough that he could play the chorus."

#when I saw that on the Wiki page for the self-titled I was like 'WHAT. GET OUT. WHO WAS HIGH WHEN THEY EDITED THIS PAGE'#too bad I don't like that song very much or I'd give Ron more credit/appreciate the song more for bullshitting his way through THAT #(I've played the cello before...very briefly - for like a few months - before switching back to violin and...good lord.
