Pain keeps pulsing through his veins, inside his head, in rhythm with a steady heartbeat; Khan is still standing, he won't budge, he won't break under whatever the Admiral is doing to him - not until he's freed his family, including Vega, and himself from that old man's grasp.

A pair of nostrils flare as Khan inhales, then exhales, slowly so, with his bright blue eyes focusing on the massive screen in front of him. This room, existing outside of their prison cells, is accessible to both of them; Similar to an observation deck on board of a starship, it offers a seating area as well as a massive screen to show off the night sky for them to look at in the late evening hours.

It's ironic, in a way - Marcus uses them to his advantage, causes pain both mentally and physically, tortures their minds and bodies... and yet he's offering them this room within what is the designated zone they're allowed to roam freely in, a place to recuperate, basically, until it's time for Khan and Vega to get locked up for the night once more.

He blinks, his head finally turning as he does to have his gaze linger on her instead now, an ocean meeting emeralds. A few seconds pass as silence stretches between them, accompanied by a throat working as Khan swallows; He can still taste copper at the back of his tongue, but his injuries are healing well.

"I needed a moment to..." A moment of hesitation, to form a thought. "---Reflect."

Day 5

The wasteland is teeming with different groups of people to those nasty Legionaries in Arizona to the unrelenting Brotherhood of Steel. Smaller groups, cities, and smaller factions, such as the Children of Atom, Diamond City, Megaton, Followers of the Apocalypse, and Atom Cats are also around and provide their own marks on their respective wasteland. How is your OC/s relationship with the groups in their respective wasteland? Got a good opinion, bad one, or did they just happily wipe said faction or city off the face of the Earth. Give us the good story.

At the end of the day, Griffin believes wholeheartedly in a free New Vegas and fights for the Mojave. He cares very little about how the factions see him, only caring about himself and a select few, but his relationships with the factions is still significant enough to talk about and are a big part of Griffin’s life in the Mojave, even if he doesn’t want it to be.

NCR - Griffin has mixed feelings about the NCR. At first he sympathised with them, believing that they were just trying to do their jobs, but the more he learnt about them the more he disagreed with their methods of running the Mojave. Griffin especially doesn’t like the way they treat the people of New Vegas, preferring to suck up resources for themselves than distribute it evenly. He helps them purely for the caps and fully plans to betray them in the end and free New Vegas.

Caesar’s Legion - Griffin HATES the Legion with the passion of a thousands suns, though he has no idea why. The mere sight of a Legion flag immediately sends warning alarms blaring in his head and bile rising to his throat. Griffin systematically and seeming instinctively kills and beheads any Legion solider he comes across without hesitation. He’s frightened of what that means for his obvious bad past with the Legion that he doesn’t remember but would rather let sleeping dogs lie.

Brotherhood of Steel - Initially Griffin did not really see the Brotherhood as any kind of threat until they put a collar on him and his opinion immediately flipped to the negative. Their methods are unethical at best and Griffin found most of them either obnoxious or narrow-minded. Griffin trusts them as far as he could throw a Deathclaw. That distrust only grew when Elijah took him and collared him in the Sierra Madre. He initially distrusted Veronica before she told him her story.

Followers of the Apocalypse - Griffin loves the Followers, and not just because of Arcade. He grew to respect the camp of doctors and scientists who go out of their way to help the people of Freeside indiscriminately, working around the clock to provide medical assistance and giving supplies away to those in need. As a man of science, Griffin appreciates and admires their set-up.

The Boomers - The Boomers as a mixed bag for Griffin. On the one hand, Griffin loves the big explosives they have and the community they built, keeping themselves safe from the outside. On the other hand, they did shoot at him with missiles several times while he was just trying to get by and that’s just not gonna fly with him. His intentions on breaking in a robbing them blind was halted by how chill the seemed but Griffin’s got his eye on them.

Powder Gangers - Griffins relationship with the Powder Gangers is as one-sidedly hostile as it can get. It was the first faction that Griffin became infamous with and for completely accidental reasons. Griffin was just going for a walk, minding his own business, when he strayed a little too lose to a Powder Gang camp. Not hearing their repeated warnings to get away, Griffin continue to mosey too close for the gangs comfort until they snapped and open fired. Naturally, Griffin responded in kind, not understanding why they were throwing dynamite at him when he had done nothing wrong. Griffin slaughtered them and word travelled quickly to the Powder Gangers leader, blacklisting Griffin and putting a target on his head. Griffin retaliated by wiping them off the face of the Mojave. To this day, he still had no idea why they attacked him but whatever. It was self defence.

Great Khans - Griffin has no real problem with the Khans. They’re a business to him, nothing really offending him other than their rocky yet still positive relationship with Caesar’s Legion but Griffin can kind of forgive them for that. Kind of. Other than that, he sees them as drug pedlars and he really doesn’t care for drugs outside of alcohol.

Fiends - Now, Griffin doesn’t necessarily hate the Fiends. No, they’re just dirty, disgusting, kidnapping, women abusing, cold murdering monsters. No, Griffin doesn’t hate them like the Legion, he hunts them as sport. To Griffin, the Fiends are lower than animals, nothing more, nothing less. He spares them no other thought.

2. Which faction(s) did they join and which did they destroy? Why?

River: honestly decided to ignore dad and the vault and just have fun going around the capitol wasteland w charon and dogmeat. not a fan of the BoS, against the enclave, joined up w paradise falls for a time and then blew them all to hell.

Six: independent Vegas all the way baybee. didn’t destroy anybody, mostly neutral with the strip fams, good terms w boomers, khans, adores goosprings, fucks up the powder gangers and other raider gangs

Dakota: FUCK THE INSTITUTE FUCK FATHER they’re a railroad person all the way, cannot STAND preston but does help the minutemen bc “they’re useful enough i guess.”

6. What’s their sexual, romantic, and gender orientation? Do they feel comfortable telling other people?

River: cis male, panro demisexual. honestly it’s the wasteland, his rom/sex orientation doesn’t come up much other than some comments abt him going around w and being close w charon but he doesn’t give a shit

Six: cis female, panro pansex + polyam. she is not quiet about loving easily, or who she loves. it’s vegas, who cares if the queen of vegas is banging several people at once. nobody wants to test her aim w her sniper enough to throw a fit about it

Dakota: agender they/them, panro ace. they’re insistent about pronouns, but otherwise it doesn’t come up much.

20. Do they have any hobbies? What are they?

River: training dogmeat to do new things! he also eventually tries to breed tame molerats but it doesn’t go well….

Six: the woman is an absolute FIEND at gambling, she rarely loses, to the point where she refuses to let friends/companions bet against her.

Dakota: farming! they wanted to keep a garden, but never had a chance to before the bombs fell. also knitting, sewing, and similar things. quiet things.

31. What’s their love life like? Are they interested in anyone or in a relationship?

River: he is hopelessly in love with charon, and thankfully the ghoul returns at least some of his affections. before meeting charon, he flirted a bit to get what he wanted, but wasn’t really interested in anyone.

Six: she falls in love VERY easily and has the charisma to often get at least a roll in the hay, if not more, with anyone she wants. in a poly relationship with boone, cas, veronica, arcade and christine (fuck you she saves her and brings her back to ronnie). rom only w ronnie, christine and arcade, but cas and boone take turns sharing her bed.

Dakota: they fall HARD for MacCready. both of them have shit to work through, dakota didn’t have much love for their spouse (married to shut both of their families up, they were fond of each other but not In Love) but needed to work through the whole 200 years as a popsicle, and also my kid is a massive dickwad thing.

38. How’s their aim? Do their hands shake while pointing a gun?

River: he’s good with pistols and shotguns, but not perfect. much better with explosives.

Six: she’s an expert sniper. also fair with pistols and knives, but she prefers to be back and up high to cover her friends.

Dakota: guns are for weaklings, it’s all about getting in close with a switchblade (pickman’s, to be precise)
