AND the similarities with TXF s05e01-2 Redux and certain parts of Return to the Fractured Planet by Dave Stone

like why. why are the VNAs so X-Files-ish. why is the X-Files so VNA-ish. why do writers give characters alien space cancer and expect me not to be unhinged about it--

#this is literally the reason i wanted to watch TXF in the first place #bc i Knew about the cancer arc and i Knew there were similarities to Tears #however much salt i have toward chris carter #he did a better conclusion to the cancer arc than dave stone managed smh #ANYYYWAAYYYY this is the reason i still consider a bennybrax xfiles AU (sans the MSR romantic undertones of course)#(bc bennybrax is entirely platonic.
