um i think i just came out to my parents?
#text#apparently my mum's psychologist is a massive transphobe and was telling her how 'kids are being pushed to transition'#'they're getting their surgeries undone as adults because they were made to have them as kids'#'oh also parents are forcing their kids to go to drag shows and the drag queens are showing them their bits'#'*they* are forcing everyone to become gay/trans'#'it's an epidemic!'#(all this feels INCREDIBLY unethical for a psychologist to say)#(as someone studying counselling we're not supposed to show any political bias)#(let alone send our clients home to look up something called 'gays against grooming')#ANYWAY i spent ages looking up facts and statistics#and finally dropped a ‟well- i don't consider myself straight‟#which took her mind of the anti-trans stuff at least lmao#(she's usually much more progressive but also very easily persuaded which again ... SO UNETHICAL)
