funniest thing that has happened to me a lot lately is when i watch an actor in some random film—and i’ve made it my personal life’s mission up to this point to know nothing about actors—so i’m like “alright, i’ll look them up - why not” and then it turns out that they actually starred in some super iconic film i’ve heard about my whole life and i’m like. “HIM????????? *THIS* MAN??????????????” and i have to reevaluate everything i’ve ever known.

#bonus points for when this happens but then i forget WHICH actor it is by the time i actually WATCH the super iconic film #so i know i’m about to see ONE of my friends - but which one is a surprise!#i definitely went the correct route in watching completely at random rather than starting with the ‘most iconic’#bc it takes away a lot of the mysticism - it makes them less threatening #they go from disembodied names i’ve heard all my life to my lovely friends who i see around every once and awhile #(and before the parasocial relationship patrol arrives - Yes i am obviously aware that these random dead people are not my friends)#(and also that many of them were in fact NOT very lovely in real life)#(i have simply been seized by the fatal American need to have a Pretty Good Time)#(and i Am)#(DON’T worry about it)
