i genuinely cannot pick a favorite out of tsukasa's commissioned songs. ive been just laying here for like half an hour, listening to all of them, picking them apart, turning them around in my brain but it just feels impossible to choose haha like the closest thing to a conclusion ive been able to come to is that its not 88☆彡 but i still love that song!!!! but the other three i can listen to any one of them and plausibly be like "oh yeah this could be my favorite." filament fever and mr showtime occupy a more similar space in my brain like the reasons i like them are more similar than the reasons i like tondemo wonderz, so i could almost say those two are tied for my favorite but then it feels so wrong to not also pick tondemo wonderz and so we are right back where we started w a whole three out of four being my ""favorite"" and basically the moral of the story is tsukasa has good commission songs LOL

Blogging - Reflections on 1st Live Live viewing

The SG Live viewing was a big success! Meeting everyone from the /r/LoveLive discord was both enriching and fun.

(This will be a pretty lengthy post, so bear with me while I rant)

When I met up with everyone, I felt disconnected (being the introvert I am). I knew everyone by online names only, and I really was having some anxiety while I sat awkwardly with everyone; occasionally trying to strike up a conversation. However it was alright once we all started to talk about what we expected in the live viewing and getting really hyped up for what is to come.

I was so excited that I practiced a few weeks when the call guide came out .It was the first time I have ever been in a concert, and I thought that it was worse, it was a idol concert, complete with wota and calls and all. But to be in the actual cinema, the actual place with everyone else, with the actual concert going on, it was a totally different feeling. All the tension was gone when the first song came out and the whole cinema just exploded into calls, and I just went with the flow with everyone

At times I would go with the calls and beat, and at time I would just sing along with the song out of habit, but overall it was really a fresh new experience for me. 

NOT TO MENTION SEEING ARISHA IN THE SLEEVELESS DRESS THAT WAS ON THE FRONT COVER OF AZALEA’S ALBUM. I BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO IT WHEN I REMEMBERED SUBUNITS WERE IN 1ST LIVE.

Arisha was drop dead gorgeous, in the sleeveless dress with a giant ribbon decorating her chest. Her hair was the same as the one in mini-live, and it is so perfect for her with the white flower. (comparing it to the Dia hairstyle)

The visuals for both of Azalea’s songs were so crazy good that I just stared in awe on the first day (yeah basically I just spaghetti-ed). On the second day I was screaming so much for Arisha that my voice went sore

The next best thing to happen was seeing Arisha in the Mijuku Dreamer costume. The red suit her the best and the concentration on the 3rd years really blew me away. 

Her Mirai Ticket costume was really good, coupled with black shorts and her coat had this two tails extending out (AND THAT 3RD YEAR MOMENT WHERE SUWAWA WINKS)

My opinions on the others? 

CYaRon’s Yozora no nandemo Shitteru no? was one of my few favourite song (all of the slow songs are my favourite), and Shuka’s solo dance was great, coupled with Anchan’s close up before the song fades out at the end.

Guilty Kiss made the whole cinema go crazy(and me too!). Ainya acting all sexy and flirty, the fake mic stands, each of them parading around during Guilty Kiss, Guilty Night, everything was so hyped. My voice cracked a few times in Strawberry trapper too!

I had mixed feelings about Omoi yo Hitotsu ni Nare on the first day… wasn’t this suppose to be YouChika’s song? Didn’t Rikyako say she was hoping for a piano performance? I sang along to the song for the first day. Then came second day… Rikyako went up to the piano, similar to how it was on first day. Anchan looks up and gives her a reassuring look, and it pans to Shuka doing the same (and this make me go awww since we all could see how nervous she was on day 1 for the piano). The music starts and we were starting to wota when suddenly the whole cinema just went silent. 

A sound malfunction? Did the cinema encounter problems? 

And suddenly It pans over to Rikyako, sobbing really badly, while accompanied by a few of the members. But the most noteworthy was Anchan, hugging her and reassuring her. This scene immediately bought about memories of the anime where Chika doing the same by reassuring Riko, and tears started to fill my eyes. Everyone in the cinema started shouting “DAIJOUBU” and “GANBATTE”. My voice cracked as I sob through it thinking about how relative it is to Riko, who went through the exact same moment of being unable to play on the piano, and how in this case the whole of Aqours was there to support Rikayko through. The bond between them and the support of the whole stadium turning to Sakura Pink and chanting “RIKAKO” was just inspiring. It really shows how the fans are supportive and how a mistake in a performance doesn’t always result in disappointment. Once she was ready and the performance resumed, the whole cinema, which was lit in pink, just exploded even louder than day 1. Everyone was singing along to the lyrics and calling louder than ever. 

Rikyako volunteered to play the piano for omoi, and it could have been because she wanted to reenact the scene, or to perform with the other 8 as Aqours. Regardless, this piano performance was not like the others. Every song is performed with others, singing and dancing. A mistake in dance step or voice would still be okay since the other two covers up. However in omoi, Rikyako is literally doing a solo performance, not dancing and singing with the others. A difference in a single note would make a difference to the music, and this really is a nerve-wrecking experience. Rikyako had the most pressure on her during this song, and it not only showed from her facial expression and trembling hands, it also cause her to go into panic. I am just glad that everyone understood and stood by her till the end, and once again I have to say, the 9 of them have come so far.

(but sorry Rikyako you didn’t move up my ranks, despite the willingness to learn the piano and be involved in this performance)

Now that it is over, I can finally sit down and relax a little before resuming on translations.
