I think- Steb honestly had no clue who J.inx even was before the strike team (it's a name he has heard sure- but he doesn't just trust other enforcers words blindly at all/it's like tall tales to him.) Like his whole focus is getting by day to day+medical busy work so he's not really tuned into any gossip or scary stories which are paired with names.
