everyone always talks about luigi tutoring you in math but what about him having a math genius gf and having to tutor him?

anon i like the way u think. ur mind is so sexy. very sexy to me and also relatable because i loved math in school 🤓

first off, i think the nerd in him would be sooo turned on to find out his pretty little gf is a math wiz. it’s not that he doesn’t expect it, but you’re just so nonchalant about it?? the only reason he knows is because he does kinda rough on a recent test. he thought he understood everything— studied, got good marks on the assignments, all of that. but then somehow he wound up getting a 73 on the exam? and that’s with the professor’s generous curve.

he brings it up to you after he gets his test back. you two are casually hanging in his dorm. you’re laying on your tummy with your feet kicking up behind you, reading a book for class. he’s sitting at his desk, trying to go over the mistakes he made on the test. being the talker he is, he leans back in his chair and lets out the biggest sigh.

“i just don’t fucking get it. I’m looking at the mistakes i made and i don’t even understand what I did wrong,” he groans.

ofc you have to look up from your book bc it seems like your bf is having a crisis.

“what? are you working on that program for class still? i thought it was working perfectly,” you hum and look over at him.

“no, it’s the test i got back from Calc II. i got a 73,” he sighs.

so naturally, you stand up and join him by his side. you glance over the paper, start looking at the problems he did wrong. you use your own pencil and start lightly correcting them. you’re explaining everything so casually, a little bit fast too. your lips are struggling to keep up with your brain. luigi is staring at you almost in disbelief, and also awe. and when you’re done, you look down at him and then go “okay, did that help at all?”

and he’s really really starstruck. like he’s genuinely looking at you as if you’re a piece of gold in a copper mine. his eyebrows are raised and he’s got the widest grin on his face.

“oh my god, you’ve been holding out on me, smalls,” he practically laughs. of course, it’s not that big of a deal to you so you give him a shy shrug and a little smile. he tugs you onto his lap, asks you to reexplain a few parts so you do.

and of course this is followed by you becoming his official-non-official tutor. him coming over to your dorm, his backpack casually slung over his shoulder. him greeting you by saying “hi, tutor” so cutely and casually. sometimes you have to scold him when you’re going over his work because he’ll be staring at your lips with a little smirk but obviously not listening to a single thing you’re saying. you whack him on the arm and tell him to focus and he says “sorry, its just so hot when you’re talking non-linear graphs to me.” so boyishly but also so charmingly.

oh and also, when you guys are with your group of friends and someone asks him what he’s doing later— he says “got a session with my hot tutor” and it makes you giggle bc of course he would refer to you that way. sometimes even says that to you. you ask him what his plans are for the week and he’s like “i’m pretty free. got a few lessons with my really sexy tutor but that’s it” and you’re just like??? luigi knock it off. but he thinks it’s so funny and also true <3

i was in the middle of writing an essay on why i found the endgame relationship of the fool's fate a bit annoying and i realized it boils down to two issues:

fitz and molly's relationship never felt to me like it was supposed to be endgame - i think it was a pretty cool failed relationship, which was supposed to serve as a lesson to fitz and a bitter reminder that he cannot always take what he wants regardless of the consequences; furthermore i never felt molly was that important of a character in the later books, compared to nighteyes and the fool. she doesn't appear in the second trilogy at all until the very end come on...

(and i joked about how the fool is getting so much description in fitz's pov BUT SERIOUSLY, all i rememeber about molly is that she's a woman and has hair , while the fool is getting extensive descriptions almost every chapter, and that kind of sends the message on whom the reader should focus on more no??)

fitz has been childishly feeling wronged for sixteen years and the ending seemed to confirm his belief? - i genuinely thought that the punchline of fitz feeling jealous and angry that the two people he cared about fell in love because they were good for each other and they also thought he was dead would be him moving on and accepting the fact that he can take a different role in their life and appreciate it AND NOT "sometimes if you love someone, and wait long enough, and remind yourself that they are meant for you, and are probably waiting for you, regardless of the life and relationships they built for themselves, you will be rewarded by getting them back". everything seems to confirm fitz's conviction that molly was somehow wrongfully stolen from him and they can finally be together? nighteyes dying (when it was said at some point that molly wouldn't accept his bond with fitz and would make him choose), burrich dying and the fool leaving (bc he knew molly wouldn't accept his friendship with fitz) seem to all be obstacles conveniently moved out of the way of fitz getting back with his ex-girlfriend as though that was the reward he's been working for all this time?

i guess what im trying to say is, even though i as a reader don't have to be (and shouldn't be) on board with every decision a character makes, you'd think that his happy ending (mid-ending?) and the endgame (mid-game?) relationship would at least not make me want to write an angry essay on tumblr dot com yet here i am

We all know that this panel was a major hint to the twin reveal (Kelvin saying how he can’t take his eyes off those three people yet Klaus was suspiciously greyed out, so there's a secret third person)

but I think it also puts into context why Kelvin became so obsessed with the Phantomhives. I remember reading this before the twin reveal and being like okay, he saw a handsome man and his adorable child.. So what? I used to think that him calling Vincent and Ciel special was a bit of a stretch. I mean yes, the Phantomhives are suppose to be beautiful, but there are pretty people everywhere. They don’t seem that special to me.

And then came the Ciel twin reveal, and Kelvin’s obsession makes more sense, at least storywise (Just a disclaimer, I don’t know much about twins. I’m not close to my own twin cousins, so I’m referring to the story context) But anyways, we later learn that the Phantomhive brothers are valued by the cultists specifically because they are twins. That's what makes them rare and unique. We also know the the twins were present when Kelvin met the Phantomhives.

So maybe that’s also what Kelvin saw. The sight of Vincent, a beautiful nobleman, and his identical twin sons that look just like him. It was probably a unique sight for him, which is why he couldn’t take his eyes off “those three” and why he thought of them as special people.

I really hope I'm not sounding like a Baron Kelvin apologist. DX I’m just trying to understand why his character became so twisted. Yana seems to feel strongly about him, and when I look at it more, I can see how much thought she put into his writing. It makes me appreciate at least, how much foreshadowing he contributed to the story.

Started my Bachelor’s degree and am on track to complete it by the end of June, in only two years

Found a job I legitimately enjoy and survived some really horrible shit while making a huge positive impact on my coworkers and community, recently winning the highest possible employee award in my department, which sets me up for a fantastic career 

Made some wonderful friends who have made my life so much brighter 

I have been so constantly stressed and burnt out over the past two years, that it’s hard to truly accept the good things I’ve accomplished, so I just needed to put them all in one place.

ok but i loooove the parallels between coryo and lucy gray in tbosas and peeta and katniss in thg. it's blonde "rich" (but not really) boy without proper parental support in a difficult situation bc of the games getting with the seasoned seam girl with family she deeply loves that sings and does what she has to do to survive, except peeta genuinely loves katniss and she's paranoid about everything he does, always assuming he's only interacting with her for his own benefit, while snow IS only using lucy gray for his own benefit, and lucy is (presumably) completely oblivious to it until the end of the book when he's literally shooting at her so she can't testify to his murders. i'm certain that if the girls switched places, the books would be wayy shorter (at least relationship wise, idk about survival), bc lucy would immediately fall for lover boy peeta and, if they lived, find some way to run off with him and live happily ever after in the woods, and katniss would immediately sniff out snow's bullshit and kill him, or at least get tf away from him asap.

also, i just know that snow took one look at peeta and thought "you're just like me, you're using her to survive. once being with her is no longer beneficial, you'll do the smart thing and give her up. i just have to give you a little push." and maybe even subconsciously thought "i'm doing you a favor, those district 12 girls are no good, she'll just betray you and disappear in the end." dude couldn't coomprehend that two people are capable of forming a deep, mutual connection without getting any advantages from it. lil' sociopath. absolute narcissist. i love him.
