It's still a headcanon of mine that they'd get along pretty well. Like, they'd never be friends, but friendly acquaintances maybe, bonding in French over their respective grievances (and maybe a bit of poetry). They'd bring out parts of each other's personalities that aren't usually explored, and their conversations would probably be interesting.

Also it's interesting because I really think a fight between them would depend entirely on whether or not Nikolai had the element of surprise, which I think makes Nakahara one of the only Ability Users who could defeat him (and vice versa).
