Sorry to hijack your post but

Imagine this happens when Whumpee is calling Caretaker on the phone

Like for example in a situation where Whumper is forcing Whumpee to call Caretaker, to pretend that everything is fine, but then at the end Whumpee uses this specific name for them, and Caretaker immediately knows that something is very wrong

And that way they can’t do anything about the situation immediately, because they still don’t know where Whumpee is or what happened, all they know is that they’re in danger and hmgfsndgrgfjrhdk <3

Whumpee screaming out to Caretaker, calling them a name they would only use if shit gets serious (ie, they usually call Caretaker a nickname, but calls them by their actual name when something bad happens.)

That was when Caretaker knew: Whumpee is in serious danger.
