hypothetically, how could the idea of a 'fult' be redeemed?

being Not Radqueer would be a great start, considering radqueer ideas of consent are. BAD.

having outright a "no authority deserves blind obedience, even [deity] can make mistakes at times. put your gut above all." rule would also make it less of a risk to being an actual cult

keeping the word 'cult' out of everything relating to it would be. Way Less Disrespectful To Actual Cult Survivors.

Quite honestly I do believe “fult” cannot be redeemed. Fult was made specifically for one thing, and separating oneself from such a thing is the first step to not causing harm. Roleplay and/or LARPing are the closest/most similar options that are also safest.

But yes, keeping the word cult away from this would be the best and least disrespectful choice. Simply calling it LARPing would be better, but also removing the whole “follow no matter what” ideas/ideologies often present in “fults”.

Also I believe neoreligions are a “”sub-sect”” (I cannot think of a better word at the moment) of other religions such as Celtic, Pagan, and other such faiths. Correct me if I’m wrong :)
