One of my rain world ocs. Some Place Warm belongs to the Winding Depths local group.
Background and Descriptions below
Personality: Empathetic, Self-Conscious, Optimistic, Naïve, Creative, Sweet, Warm, Emotional, Impulsive
Background: Some Place Warm was a construction unit repurposed into an iterator by the head house member of Unfathomable Depths, Veins of Gold. Due to a programming error in construction of a nearby iterator, SPW inherited the remaining parts, resulting in her superstructure being, roughly, twice the size of a normal iterator.
Yet, due to inheriting said error, her original body (the puppet) is not fully synced up to her superstructure. This causes her great pain when she utilizes over 20-25% of the threshold. While there is a solution to fully sync the two mechanical bodies, it would require a complete factory reset of her programming, which would cause her memories and personality to be wiped. Since the head of the household did not see this as mandatory (since SPW was still capable of doing her job and cooling her systems under her max threshold) she did not force her to undergo the procedure and left it as the iterator’s choice.
While she is programmed to solve the great problem just like other iterators, her priority is creating materials and repairing superstructures of neighboring local groups in the vicinity. However, after the destruction of Diamonds in the Sky and A Silent Orchestra, the transportation systems that linked her and other groups were destroyed and irreparable, making the task impossible.
With the eventual decline and lack of communication with her senior and other iterators—as well as many local wildlife dying due to climate change—SPW mentally breaks and decides to initiate the factory reset and have her puppet properly synced with her superstructure. With her memory wiped and her personality slightly altered, Some Place Warm continues to thrive into a new era no other iterator would be able to experience.
Songs/OST:
Bulbel – Binary Haze Interactive & Mili
Habits (Pastel Ghost) – Mr. Kitty
Birth - Gavin Luke
Voice: Pascal from Nier: Automata (English: Alexis Tipton)
Misc.:
+She helped create her other local group members, including her senior
+She enjoys making plushies of iterators she has met
+She lets a tribe of slugcats occupy one of the unused warehouses on her superstructure
+both have a positive relationship with each other
+she helps some plants thrive in the warehouse and other parts of the structure
+sometimes she babysits the pups when they have group hunts/gatherings
+She loves to collect pearls the slugcats give her
+She has a crush on Civil Authority and Five Pebbles
-She is prone to having anxiety attacks
-Sometimes she acts before she thinks (with the exception of her construction job since she was heavily programmed to be concise as possible with it)
-She is actually one of the few that never believed in the ancients’ core belief system of cycles but she’s worried that others would outcast her for it so she stays quiet
-She has her reasons, but the matriarch had the same belief so she is also biased in the principle as well
-She fully believes no one is supposed to leave the cycle and that the void below is a hazardous material that exacerbated this claim
+-She has a theory that the void is either a cognition hazard made up of heavily toxic materials and oil or it is a physical manifestation of anti-matter

Sirens Call Arc 1/3
“You remember the plan right.”
Shard just nods, having heard it multiple times from the airplane ride to Italy, and the many meetings from the past month.
The plan was simple. Izzy was going to bid at the Siren's Cove secret auction, (with the SPW footing the bill of course) in the hopes to purchase the Stand Bow. It’s unknown what the bow can really do, but it’s speculated that it's just as powerful as the Stand Arrows. So, of course, the Foundation doesn’t want that kind of power in the wrong hands.
So they sent out Izzy, (and some other disguised SPW agents to the casino, as backup), and Shard (who was hired by Izzy to be her bodyguard). To retrieve it.
If the auction were to go wrong in any way, then they had permission to take action as they saw fit. He was hoping that this job would be simple. Oh how wrong he was.
The two approach Siren’s Cove Casino. A fitting name for the famous casino that’s known for dragging people into debt. Leading many of the guests who enter, to become prey to the many unsavory individuals inside. Making it a perfect feeding ground for the loan sharks lurking inside.
“Alrighty then, let’s do this! I think the entrance is over here. Maybe afterwords we could gamble. I’ve never done that before!” Izzy cheerfully exclaims, as she drags the larger man inside. Shard still baffles at how such a small woman could have such enthusiasm.
Still he couldn’t stop worrying about one thing.
There was the problem of a certain vampire not being with them. The SPW was very adamant about Ardram not being able to join this mission in particular, and were somehow able to separate the two for long enough, that Izzy was able to get on a plane without him.
Shard grimaced under his mask just thinking about it. Adram ought to be furious, and would probably find his way here soon enough. If anything were to happen to Izzy on his watch-
He shook his head, this wasn’t the time to start thinking about that now. He had to be focused to make sure that nothing happens.
Looking around, he saw that the casino was teeming with excited gamblers. With the whole floor being themed as if one was under the sea. Vibrant blues and greens flashing all about from the machines. With a large aquarium in the center. Even the members of staff were dressed to the theme of the casino, them either being pirates, fishermen or mermaids
The two soon found themselves at the highest floor available to the average gambler. Where Izzy spotted a door off to the side that was almost hidden from view, and gestured for Shard to do his thing. Rolling his eyes he knocked on the door in a strange pattern, and said in practiced fashion, “The pull of the sea was too much for two.”
The door creaks open allowing the two to step inside to a spiral staircase leading up to the next floor. At the very top floor, the two are greeted to the sight of a large theater that would host the auction. With other guests already inside ambling about.
Izzy walks over to one of the staff, awkwardly smiling. “Excuse me, but how long until the auction begins? It’s my first time doing this”
“Not long Miss. it’ll be a few minutes at best. You’ll need this.”
She thanks him giving him a tip, as he hands her a cue card. “We’re all set. Now all we got to do is find a seat.” Shard was already eyeing a row, and with a nudge they settled down in their seats.
A few minutes later, a young woman sat next to them, and nervously started a conversation with them. “H-hello. Umm what was it again, oh right. Do you like frogs with top hats?”
That question itself was a code by the foundation for this mission to figure out who were spw members without explicitly saying it aloud, and Izzy immediately replied with the code phrase to affirm her status. “Oh yes! I really enjoy it when they wear a tiny mustache too. It’s so adorable. I’m Izzy by the way.” Izzy extends her hand in greeting with a large smile on her face.
Haven’s tense posture visibly relaxed at her response, and tentatively shook Izzys extended hand with her gloved one. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, and uh is he with you?”
Shard nods curtly answering “Yes, I’m Shard.”
“I’m Haven. I’m new to all this, so please be patient with me.”
While the two began to chat as they waited for the auction to begin. Shard looked over the woman, and couldn’t help but find her…strange. Especially her gold necklace that appeared to have eyes engraved on it. He’s certain that he’s seen that before, but couldn’t remember where at that moment.
When he was about to ask her, most of the lights turned off and the lights on the stage brightened.
The auction finally begins.

TOP 6 WEB PORTAL DEVELOPMENT TRENDS IN 2021
Over the years, web portals have evolved tremendously. From being information portals, they are now an integral part of a business’ marketing efforts.
Here are some of the web portal development trends that we think will dominate 2021.
Progressive Web Apps(PWAs)
Global brands have always adopted technologies that have amplified their brand identities. PWA is one such application software that has proven to be a game-changer to many top companies. The statistics of the benefits of PWAs are staggering. We are known as top 10 it companies in india
After adopting PWA, Forbes has reported that their website loading time has decreased to 0.8 seconds from 3 – 12 seconds on average. It saw a 43% increase in sessions and a 100% increase in engagement. Twitter clocked 75% increased tweets, 20% lower bounce rate, and a 65% greater number of pages per session after shifting to PWA. Trivago marked a 150% increase in user engagement after implementing a progressive web app. Make MyTrip saw overall conversion rates triple and a 160% increase in shopper sessions after using PWA. The Washington Post has seen a 88% performance improvement over its traditional mobile website after implementing PWA.
This hybrid form encapsulates application functionality into a website, providing numerous benefits for your company. PWAs offer a seamless offline process and a better mobile experience. They work as native apps and have cross-device compatibility. PWAs use HTTPS and provide transport layer security, thereby preventing user data theft.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
In 2019, the global artificial intelligence market size was valued at USD 39.9 billion. It is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 42.2% from 2020 to 2027. In a study conducted by Forrester, AI-based solutions for customer management can lead to up to 10-50% reduction in customer churn.
Here are some of the ways integrating AI in web portal development will benefit your company.
Automated customer service – Chatbots and virtual assistants are revolutionizing customer service. Improve employee productivity by using AI bots as the first point of contact to solve basic queries. Customer service agents can be involved in solving complex customer issues wherein bots can escalate it at an appropriate point while engaging with a customer. According to the 2020 MIT Technology Review, in a survey of 1,004 business leaders, customer service (via chatbots) is the leading application of AI deployed today.
Predictive Personalization – Use customer data such as purchase history and preference to make product suggestions.
Hyper-personalized content – analyse user behavior to generate customized email content, campaigns, or messages.
Predicting churn – AI algorithms provide data from disengaged members. Get analytics of the high churn risk accounts. Based on user behavior, it also shows what offers will most likely move them to the low churn risk category. It will give you critical insights into the success rate of your current customer engagement strategies.
Single Page Websites (SPWs)
94% of first impressions are related to your site’s web design. SPWs are design-driven, user-friendly, uncomplicated, and easy to maintain. You can use SPWs for portfolios, landing pages, and brochure websites. SPWs have the following key advantages.
Ease of navigation on mobile.
Quick loading time.
Linear user experience.
Bounce rate reduction.
The following points need to be kept in mind while designing SPWs:
Split Content into small chunks. Do not overload users with excessive information.
Users may get bored with the endless scrolling. Design Alternative Navigation for Quick Access like sticky navigation. It remains at the top of the page, regardless of the depth of your scroll.
Use robust call to action.
Be creative with your website. You can use CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript to create a stunning SPW.
Web Assembly (WA)
A Google study over millions of page impressions found that when a site meets the recommended thresholds for the core web vitals metrics, users are at least 24% less likely to abandon a page before it finishes loading. Website performance has a direct impact on user experience and churn rate.
WA is gaining prominence because it is vital in developing high-performance sites. With WA, compile code into bytecode using any programming language. WA enhances the sites’ speed, thereby optimizing its performance.
Apart from enhancing website performance, WA provides other benefits to your business.
Offers a good compile target for the web. It gives developers the freedom to choose which language they code their websites on.
Perfect for mobile browsing.
Supported by all major browsing platforms.
WA has a small file size that has a direct impact on the sites’ load time.
WA offers high-end security to the website.
Voice Activated (VA) Search and Navigation
In a recent “new voice technology” survey, Adobe found that 48% of consumers use voice for “general web searches.” VA is revolutionizing information search and is reducing the mundane typing into search bars.
Here are some of the voice search optimization strategies that you can use in your enterprise.
Focus on conversational keywords. In the age of semantic search, long-tail conversational keywords have become more popular than short-tail keywords.
Create compelling persona-based content
Use Schema Markup to make your website SEO friendly.
Make a FAQ page and create conversational answers.
Motion User Interface (MUI) design
It takes about 50 milliseconds (that’s 0.05 seconds) for users to form an opinion about your website that determines whether they like your site or not, whether they’ll stay or leave. 94% of first impressions relate to your websites’ design.
Businesses are under tremendous pressure to create an engaging website design for enhancing user experience. It is where MUI becomes prominent. MUI enables you to create stunning transitions and animations for your enterprise website.
Use MUI in the following ways to create stunning websites.
Welcome screen – excite your users with a unique welcome screen. It can be of great use when your website is content-laden and takes time to load.
Call to Actions (CTA) – CTAs can be fun and interactive with a creative MUI.
Use it to create a feedback loop.
Engage users with spontaneous brand storytelling.
Improve brand recognition by creating sharable videos for your website. The average CVR for websites using video is 4.8%, compared to 2.9% for those that don’t use video.
CONCLUSION
Customer needs are rapidly evolving. Thus, creating an engaging web user experience is vital. Based on some of the web development trends expected in 2021 it is imminent for enterprises to adopt cutting edge web portal development strategies to boost brand visibility and customer retention.

A Behind The Scenes Look At Sunset Beach
Soap Opera Weekly Magazine, 1998
There is a friendly feeling that permeates the Sunset Beach set, one that makes you feel at ease the moment you enter the NBC studio in Burbank,Calif.
"Sunset Beach" is one of the happiest sets I've ever worked on," Gordon Thompson (A.J.) concurs. "It's wonderful being back at the same studio with the same show initials, same dressing room, same crew for the most part (Thompson played Santa Barbara's Mason Capwell). The show itself has a wonderfully optimistic quality. So much so I think of it as The Little Engine that Could."
It's about 10 a.m., as the show's publicist, Jonathan Zaleski, guides this SOAP OPERA WEEKLY reporter through the hallways leading to the soundstage. A man in a hurry, Clive Robertson (Ben/ex-Derek Evans), with script in hand, sprints toward us heading to the set. "Hello," he says with a smile. Is he a good twin or a bad twin at the moment? "I'm not sure!" he jokes.
In the directors' team office, Barbara Roche, who shares stage manager duties with Shannon Mason, is hard at work. Roche arrived at the studio at about 6:15 on this particular day. "Shannon and I take turns with the early morning shift," Roche says. "We have to be in prior to the first makeup call. There are dressing rooms to be opened, prep work for that day's scripts, marking cues and checking things."
Around 7:30, the director (today it's Peter Brinckerhoff) "walks the stage" with the stage manager and members of other key departments. Dry blocking (when the specific camera moves for the actors are set) begins at 8.
"The stage managers share the day, relieving each other at certain points," Roche explains. "There are some scenes we can do on our own. That way, we're leapfrogging each other all day. If it's a scene at the disco or the hospital involving a lot of people, then we'll both probably be on the floor."
Tomorrow is a location day at Seal Beach, which doubles for Sunset Beach. "Because this show does so many remotes, we shoot simultaneously here in the studio," Roche adds. "Shannon will be down at the beach with another stage manager, and I'll be here with another person to work with me."
Stopping off in the hair and makeup department, I chat with head makeup artist Gail Katz, who's already been on the job for several hours. "We generally lose our actors between 8 and 9, so we pretty much have to have them ready by 8. Once they start dry blocking, the director has the option of keeping them there on the stage until they're set to tape at 9."
Sherri Saum (Vanessa) was the first customer of the day, which meant applying those hideous Martin's Syndrome lesions over half of her face as well as her arm. "Yeah, you missed 'lumpy-bumpy,' as we affectionately call her," Katz says with a laugh. "We had an early morning call - 6:45 - for Sherri to be camera-ready, including dry blocking. We had to schedule in that extra 45 minutes for the bumps - in additional to her regular makeup and hair - to give us some lead time."
Katz credits Academy Award-winning special effects artist Matthew Mungle with sculpting the actual prosthetics used to create the Martin's Syndrome look for Vanessa and her mother, Lena. "He's a fabulous artist, absolutely brilliant," she raves, "and a delightful man to work with."
Later, Saum tells us how it feels to be in that chair while the "bumps" are being applied to her face. "Usually, I try not to look in the mirror," she says. "But it's getting so commonplace, because I have to deal with it, every single day that I'm here. I try not to concentrate on it, though. I just like the time to go as quickly as possible."
What are the challenges this particular day for hairstylist Kimberly Spiteri? "Being interviewed," she teases. Spiteri's daily duties include "every-thing from cutting to coloring. We take care of all our actors' hair-care services. For us, it works out much better, because that way we can keep track of the continuity of their hair, as opposed to having them go out to a salon and coming back with something that might not be right for what we're working on at the time."
Most of the women spend about 45 minutes in Spiteri's chair. Sam Behrens (Gregory), though, doesn't even bother sitting down. "He actually takes care of his own hair," she notes. "He comes in and we hand him a brush and the products he likes right now - one is Bumble & Bumble Styling Creme, the other is a vanilla-scented hair spray by Cinema Secrets."
While Spiteri combs out the tresses of Cristi Ellen Harris (Emily), the young actress tells us she's a good friend of Richard Biggs (ex-Marcus Hunter, Days of Our Lives), whom she met while he was teaching acting classes. "He always told me that the one thing I needed was to get a soap," she says, "that it was the best training anybody could ever have." Did she call Biggs and tell him she got the job on Sunset? "The same day," she says. "He told me to be honest, be real, just do the work and have fun with it."
"My favorite part of the day is hair and makeup, because I love having my hair and face worked on," Shawn Batten (Sara) shares. "It relaxes me. I could sit there all day long!"
Batten had an 8 a.m. fitting with Sunset's costume designer Chic Gennarelli. "We're doing a change of look for Sara," he explains. "It's her character's transition from Washington to Sunset Beach, so the new emphasis will be on casual outfits."
According to Gennarelli, the show's costumes need to be "very colorful, sexy, featuring a lot of bareness. It's an Aaron Spelling show combined with a place called Sunset Beach, where the sun always shines and it never gets cold. We're doing a lot of beachy stuff now that El Nino's over and the warm weather is here."
Polaroids are taken of the 10 outfits Batten tries on and then presented to supervising producer Lisa Hesser in her second-floor office. "Out of those 10, we picked two because of the color considerations," Gennarelli says. "You have to look at what the other characters are wearing as well as the set decorations. So Lisa made a decision as to which outfits she liked best. Then I accessorize them for today's show and put Shawn into hair and makeup. The other eight outfits will be utilized for future episodes."
In an upstairs office, David Levinson, assistant to the executive producer, tacks an SPW clipping of Kathleen Noone's (Bette) Applause, Applause to the show's bulletin board. In an inner office, John Fritz, who doubles as assistant to associate producer Debbie Bachtell-O'Sullivan and director of Sunset's fan club, finishes up the club's first newsletter (to be issued quarterly).
Back downstairs, we pay a visit to "the clubhouse" - the dressing room of on- and offscreen best buds Timothy Adams and Jason George (Casey and Michael). Their highly publicized wall collage (featuring everything from pictures of themselves to a photo of Raquel Welch) is growing in size, thanks to contributions from viewers - mostly women. "It's very cool," says George. "It's about time we sent out another call to the fans for pictures, because we intend to fill this entire wall."
It's nonstop banter between these two. "We screw around a lot on the set, but our focus is always there when taping begins," George says. "We can be in the middle of a laugh and when the countdown starts, we'll go right into the scene."
Earlier, Adams had been razzing George about his impromptu tap dance to Shuffle Off to Buffalo on the set. "Actually, I prefer when he does the number in his construction boots," Adams quips. "The aesthetics of that are just incomparable."
Out in the hall, John Martin and Carol Potter (Hank and Joan) are winding their way toward the stage. They certainly are youthful-looking parents of grown children. "My dad watches the show, and he called me and asked, 'How did you get two such beautiful daughters?'" Martin explains with a laugh. "I don't know, but I'm also tempted to ad-lib a line to the girls like 'kiss Daddy."
Taping is proceeding at a steady clip under Brinckerhoff's direction. "It looks like we'll wrap at 6:30, which is an ideal time for us," reports stage manager Roche. "We like to have about a 12-hour day in the house."
Just another day at the Beach.

The Scars Beneath
Day 1 of @josuyasuweek - Sports AU/Scars/Confession
Summary: While Josuke’s lying comatose in the hospital, Okuyasu keeps him company and ponders on the different types of scars they both have, as well as what they really mean.
Notes: I’m going to try having something written for each day of this event, but one or two of them might be late due to my work schedule ^^” This just looked like a lot of fun ^.^ Also, I’m using this as a sort of holiday gift for my BFF, as many of these stories are based off of a Modern!AU RP that we do that I’m planning to turn into stories soon, so happy holidays, C! :D
The sun was setting outside of the hospital. Nearly all of the other visitors had gone home for the day and the rest were being steadily escorted out by the nursing staff. One of the few left in the building was a teenage boy in a scruffy tank top and beaten up old blue jeans who was sitting by the bed of another teenage boy.
The one lying on the bed was unconscious, hooked up to all sorts of monitoring machines and tubes that made the other boy wince whenever he looked at them. On the footboard of his bed was a clipboard with information on his condition, one word that stood out being “coma”. Aside from that, and a few bandages crisscrossing over his torso that could be seen through his thin hospital gown, the boy looked like a sleeping angel with the way his normally stylized hair now lay limp and disheveled around him. His name was Josuke.
The one sitting next to him still had his hair stylized into its usual small pompadour, albeit with a few hairs out of place. He had bags under his eyes like he hadn’t slept properly in a while, and his eyes were slightly red and misty as if he’d been crying earlier. Which was most likely the case given how desperately he was clutching at the unconscious boy’s hand. His name was Okuyasu.
Josuke had wound up in the hospital again after their most recent battle with a few very powerful stand users. The enemy had captured several members of their group, Josuke included, and trapped them in a crushing machine that was only being stopped from killing them thanks to his cousin (he refused to say nephew, they both hated that term) Jotaro’s stand Star Platinum using all of his strength to stop the machine. While this kept their immediate death at bay, the ones that Josuke was trapped in the crusher with were severely injured and nearly dead with the enemy stand users remotely causing them more harm while mocking them from the safety they had outside of the machine.
Josuke, being the kind person that he is, had used his stand Crazy Diamond to keep the others alive with its healing abilities. Unfortunately, every time he used his stand to fix one thing, the enemies would inflict something ten times worse. His stand ended up being the only thing keeping the others alive and if he stopped healing them for even a moment then they would die, leaving him no room to find a way out. Between that and the fact that they were still attacking Josuke himself, he ended up pushing himself past his limits while his enemies mocked him for how useless he was.
Thankfully Okuyasu and the rest of their group had shown up when they did and were able to bust open the machine holding Josuke and the others prisoner. The enemy stand users were easily defeated now that they were outnumbered, but the others were still in critical condition.
Josuke had lost consciousness by the time the others had arrived, but his body and will had gone on autopilot and, even with his eyes glazed over and his mind unresponsive, he continued to give everything he had to keep the others alive and used his stand to keep them from bleeding out- he’d lost the strength to fully close their wounds by that point, but he was still the only thing keeping them alive.
It wasn’t until the ambulances arrived that they were finally able to get Josuke to stop. Once the others were being treated by the doctors and loaded into the vehicles, Okuyasu came up behind Josuke’s kneeling body and wrapped his arms around him with the words “You did great, Josuke. You saved the day. Now take a break.”
Josuke had fully passed out in his arms on the spot, his flickering stand finally disappearing as his subconscious allowed him to rest. Okuyasu then carried him into the ambulance and had been allowed to ride with him to the hospital.
That had been more than a week ago. Okuyasu had come by every day to visit his boyfriend in the hospital and see if he’d woken up yet. From dawn to dusk, he’d sit right by Josuke’s bedside and alternate between talking to him about how the others were doing, doing his homework that was sent to him, and sitting quietly holding his hand like he was now.
The others came to visit Josuke, of course, but Okuyasu was the one who spent the most time there. He knew that the hospital was safe- the SPW facilities had special guarded sectors set aside for them in case of emergencies- but he couldn’t help wanting to be there to make sure that he was the one to keep his boyfriend safe. Maybe it was because he blamed himself for what happened- for not being there when Josuke was in danger.
Then again, Josuke was never the type to like being saved, so it probably wouldn’t have made much of a difference. Given back up in a difficult fight, especially when it was against multiple opponents? Absolutely. But that was different from being treated like a damsel in distress who needed someone stronger to come and save him, and Okuyasu knew from experience that Josuke was NO damsel- hell, he knew first-hand how strong the guy was!
But that strength was also part of the problem.
Josuke was strong, in many ways, but one thing that many people in his family (on both sides of the family tree) held great strength in was their pride- something the flashy teenager had in spades. He would act like he wasn’t hurt, even when he was, because his pride demanded that he be strong enough to continue fighting alongside his friends and family despite his injuries- he refused to stand back and play the role of nursemaid while everyone else took to the frontlines. He would act like everything was okay, even when it clearly wasn’t, because his pride demanded that he continue smiling and being the shining star of the group to make everyone else feel better- a healer had to focus on those around him, not the other way around. He would smile, even when he was unhappy, because his pride demanded that he be the strongest emotionally out of everyone around him- he would be there to comfort everyone else, but he couldn’t let anyone else be there to comfort him and take on his burdens.
Okuyasu was the only exception to these rules, although it was hardly Josuke’s choice in the matter.
When Josuke got hurt, Okuyasu would be the one to forcefully pull him aside and bandage him up enough to get back into the fight. When something was bothering Josuke, Okuyasu started to pay extra attention and try to figure out what it was so he could deal with it to the best of his ability (usually by breaking something). When Josuke put on that fake smile, Okuyasu would see it and hold him until he eventually broke down and let the perfect mask slip.
Josuke hated to let others see what was beneath that perfect smile and positive attitude that he wore around everyone else. Beneath the mask was something that most people would consider ugly:
Scars.
Jagged, ugly, and twisted marks that many would see as imperfections- blemishes that could never be treated and would forever mar something that was once seen as pristine.
Okuyasu had scars, too, obviously- visible right on his face. He had more that could be seen on his arms and along his shoulders before disappearing beneath the edges of his shirt. His scars were out in the open for the whole world to see and judge. Most people formed their opinions of him right away because of his scars, usually jumping to the conclusion that he was a thug and a tough guy (though he wouldn’t complain about the second part). People viewed him as someone who couldn’t be trusted and kept a close eye on him wherever he went.
The ones who could see past his physical scars, however, quickly got to see the deeper scars underneath the surface. They got to learn about his past, about his family, and about all he’d been through in his life to wound him so deeply. Those scars were what ultimately endeared people to him, making them see the pain that both types of scars left on him and wanting to be closer to him. His scars helped him form bonds with people.
Josuke’s scars, on the other hand, were hidden a lot better than his boyfriend’s.
Having a stand that could heal others but couldn’t actually heal his own wounds meant that when he got injured in a fight there would be scars from it. Josuke was careful not to get a scar in an obvious place if he could help it, with most of them being on his legs and far enough inward on his torso that they’d only ever be visible with his shirt off. He would smile and joke about never letting his face get scarred, calling it his “moneymaker” and being overly dramatic in a comedic way about it being damaged. The truth, however, was that he just didn’t want a scar where people could see it and feel bad for him- especially his friends and family, because looking at it would just be a constant reminder of a bad fight where one of them failed to help him when he needed it. So, to avoid making anyone feel bad, Josuke tried his hardest to only receive scars from the chest-down and let no one else see them.
Okuyasu had seen them, however. They’d been together for nearly a year now, so of course he’d seen them. More than once, at that.
The first time had been by accident, just a quick glimpse when he’d walked into Josuke’s room while the other teen had been changing clothes. They had been together for a few months by then, but the idea of accidentally catching his boyfriend half-naked had flustered Okuyasu so much that he’d immediately apologized and slammed the door shut with a bright red face. While waiting for him to finish changing, Okuyasu kept thinking of the brief glance he’d gotten of his boyfriend’s chiseled body. He was gorgeous, no denying that, especially with the slight flush that had appeared on Josuke’s cheeks when he saw Okuyasu at the door. One thing did stick in his mind, however- an odd pair of scars right beneath Josuke’s pecs. He knew what they were from now, but was incredibly curious about it for several weeks afterwards.
The second time had been on purpose, taking place during their first actual night of intimacy. There had been a lot of shy glances and awkward fumbling of clothes until they’d both wound up shirtless- all of their scars exposed for the other’s judgement. It had been nerve-wracking for Okuyasu, to have someone as perfect and hot as his boyfriend looking at him in such a way. But, when he finally worked up the courage to look back at the other boy, he noticed that Josuke seemed far more anxious than he was- self-consciously holding his shirt to his chest in an attempt to hide his body from his lover’s gaze while nervously biting at his lip. It was the most vulnerable and scared he’d ever seen the normally confident and brave boy, and, by some miracle, his mind came up with just the right words to say before he wrapped Josuke up in his arms and held him close so the other boy could relax and feel the safety and love he deserved:
“You’re perfect. I love you.”
That was the first look that Okuyasu got at both the scars on Josuke’s body, as well as the ones hidden deeper within. After seeing deeper into his beloved Jojo’s heart and mind, there was no going back- he began to see everything the other boy tried to hide. He saw his flaws, his insecurities, his anxieties, his coping mechanisms, and his fears.
And, with each new scar he found or each new one that formed over time, Okuyasu would do the only thing he could ever think to do: Hold his boyfriend and remind him that he was perfect and loved, scars and all.
Okuyasu’s mind began to return to the present, his thoughts being reined in by the faintest twitching of the fingers he’d been holding in his palm the whole time. “Josuke..?” He asked quietly, observing the other boy’s face as his eyelids began to twitch and spasm slightly as well.
Finally, those bright, beautiful eyes opened and looked towards him with great difficulty. “O..Oku..yasu…?” His voice was rough and scratchy from lack of use- a sound that Okuyasu was uncomfortably familiar with by now.
Okuyasu just smiled at him, the corners of his eyes tearing up. “Geez, took you long enough! You get enough beauty sleep yet?”
Josuke smiled back, giving his boyfriend’s hand a weak squeeze to comfort him. “Five more minutes.” He joked with a small smile before he started to look tired again. “Did…Did we win…?”
“What kind of dumb question is that?” Okuyasu grinned while stroking his thumb along the back of Josuke’s hand. “Of course we did! You should’ve seen it, I ripped the door clean off that crusher thing and-” He stopped when he noticed that Josuke was looking at his own chest, likely feeling the bandages there now. “……” With a sigh, the pompadoured teen shrugged with a roll of his eyes. “I mean, it wasn’t that bad. Eh, I’ll tell ya about it later.”
“Okay…” His boyfriend’s answer was non-committal at best and Okuyasu could already tell what he was thinking about.
“Hey,” He began before shifting over to sit on the side of the bed so that he could lean down and lovingly smother his beloved in a warm embrace. “You’re perfect. I love you.”
“Oku…” Josuke was surprised by the sudden embrace, but his look of shock soon began to turn into something more solemn. “……” His arms were still heavy from not using them for a week, but he managed to lift them enough to wrap them around his boyfriend. “…Thank you…”
At first the injured boy’s arms were light on his boyfriend’s shoulders. But, by the time he’d gotten close enough to bury his face against the other’s shoulder and Okuyasu could feel drops of liquid soaking both the cloth of his shirt and his exposed skin, Josuke’s grip had turned almost desperate and white-knuckled, his body trembling as he clenched the back of Okuyasu’s shirt and bunched up the fabric in his grip.
And Okuyasu held Josuke close for as long as he needed him to, just like he always did in these moments when the other boy’s wounds were open and exposed for him to see. He didn’t mind; he would never mind, even if he had to do this for the rest of their lives. He would always be there to patch his boyfriend up and kiss away the pain from his wounds.
After all, they both had scars, and it was part of what made them who they are.
Part of what made them love each other.
Part of what made them perfect.
End Notes: What can I say? I’m a sucker for hurt and comfort fics ^^” Also, yes, in our RP AU Josuke is post-op trans, so I thought I’d throw in a reference to that. Looking forward to the rest of the event :D

Fantasy AU
NOT SPOILER FREE
This AU is set in a world where humans and mythical creatures have existed side by side. Magic is the norm here and a lot of the technology here has magical properties to them so nothing is of the norm here.
This AU/Blog is very much persona and Danganronpa bassed as of right now. More my be added to do to my hyper fixations All characters on this blog belong to the same universe, so Cannon will not always portray to this blog. There will also be events that only pertain to this AU.
Pertaining to timeline events in the Perona series everything thing in this blog takes place after the events of Persona 5/Royal. Most events are very close to canon but some slight tweaks. The only major non-cannon events are Yosuke’s vampiric change right after graduation, Yosuke’s sudden attack on the IT, and Morgana’s secret running away from the PT after all the main events. All persona characters know about the killing games and Ultimate's
Pertaining to the Danganronpa timeline events in the Hopes Peak Series everything has still happened but took place in a closed-off man-made region of Yasakuraba (created entirely for this blog) instead of being a worldwide event. Only the future foundation know anything about persona’s, metaverse, TV, or shadows.
V3 canon? What’s that? Never heard of it.
In this AU all the students were Ultimate students and went missing during their 3rd year. They were all asked my Tsumugi to come with her and taken to an underground ruins of a city. It was there that they were told, they had to try to escape and if they were caught, they would have to partake in a killing game. This was broadcasted and became know as the Ultimate hunt. Once all were finally captured they were brought to an unknown facility and hook up to a program much like the Neo World Program. All student’s memories are wiped and they are forced into a killing game within said world. The whole event is broadcasted as a game show until the Future Foundation manages to find and infiltrate the game to save everyone. All participants of the game were sent to Jabberwocky Island for rehabilitation by the Former Remanates of Despair. This will be known as the Killing Show Broadcast
Important places within AU
The city of Kuraba - The main city located in the Yasokura district of Yasakuraba and the current resident of all characters on this blog.
Mythical Cafe- A very famous and well-known cafe in Kuraba and acts as a major connection point between different worlds. All and any beings are welcome here and are a good starting point for any Multiverse interactions as it can be accessed from any world. It would just normally show up as a normal cafe but be lead past a certain point and you’ll end up in the cafe’s original world. The cafe has two floors and a basement. The cafe its self is located on the first/ground floor and a bar is located in the basement. The second floor is for restricted access only to Shadow Op members, those of the Future Foundation, and anyone associated. Both Mattie and Morgana work in the cafe.
Hope’s Peak Academy- Large highschool for Ultimate students located in the Yasokuro district. Location of the first killing game. Been rebuilt and currently running with Makoto Naegi as principal.
Jabberwock Island- An Overseas Campus of Hope’s peak located on an island in the pacific ocean. Location of the rehabilitation of the Remnants of despair, Neo world program, and the second Killing game. Current living place of the Former Remnants of despair, and survivors of Killing Show Broadcast.
TV World/Metaverse- In this world, these places are still considered another world coinciding along with their own. Due to the presence of magic and other so-called mythical creatures, these worlds are highly unstable and have a tendency to merge with the real world here. This causes a lot of shadow breakouts or leaks as well as can cause many mental-shut-down cases if not properly handled. However, you must still have a way into this world (Tv or Phone app respectively) and not anyone can just walk into them. The only way to enter these worlds without those is through the weak points that are created when this world fuses into the real world. Creatures that normally can’t feel fatigued or don’t tire out easily, will feel this. Despite not having any physical changes happening to anyone inside these worlds, anyone inside is practically reduced to being human.
Merge Points (Mp’s)- These are what the shadow ops call the areas or points where the tv world/metaverse fuse together. These points will always be surrounded by the fog from the tv world even if it’s a metaverse leak. Only specialized glasses made by Ted or the Shadow Ops will be able to allow others to see through this dense fog. Personas are summonable in or near these points. (Even for persona users of other worlds.) They are very random and practically untraceable. Strong Shadows appear to somehow be able to create these (Still currently being studied).
Organizations/Goups
Shadow Ops- The main focus is to maintain/detain any leaked shadows, as well as deal with any other Shadow related messes. They are also meant to keep the public from knowing about the existence of Shadows by any means necessary. They are also tasked with studying merge points as well as the world they are from. As the TV World and Metaverse here are very unstable shadows can and will end up leaking into other worlds. They are also more willing to work will other Shadow Ops members of other worlds and will be willing to lend their technology and knowledge for help. However, they would prefer to have the technology back after missions are done as they could greatly mess with other worlds.
Future foundation- Their main focus is to bring the world back into order and devise ways to bring it back to normal and rid of despair. This AU will be focused mainly on the 14th division members: Makoto, Byakuka, Kyoko, Yasuhiro, and intern Toko. As well as being tasked with the division objective they are also tasked with checking up on The Killing Show Broadcast members.
Former Remainates of Dispair- They are tasked with taking care of the survivors of the Killing Show Broadcast.
New Class 53- A class formed at Hopes Peak academy after being rebuilt. The class had gone missing during their third year only to be found participating in a broadcast of a game show that resembled the past killing games.
Other important info
Shadows- The shadows in this world are a lot stronger due to the influence of so many different magical beings as well as the presence of magic in general. Only Persona’s and recent specialized weapons developed by the Shadow Ops are effective against them. They also have a tendency to actually leak out of the TV World/Metaverse as well as their own world.
Personas- The individual personas look just like how they are in any other normal world but they have the added abilities of their user’s Race. They can also be used outside of the TV World/Metaverse if the user is in a shadow infested area or Merge Points. Personas can use Merge Points to exit their world without being summoned but will retain their shadow-like form with their persona outfits. (If maxed out the persona’s can choose which outfits/mix outfits.) They can also use their abilities to an extent outside of their world but it drains their energy.
Ultimates- These are genetically inherent talents that give the possesser unnatural abilities, making them a master at what they do. A curious thing also happens when their talent has awakened: Their Blood turns oddly pink.
Specialized Personaized Weapons. (SPW’s)- These are the weapons that the Shadow Ops/Persona users utilize to fight physically against shadow attacks. Normal weapons are null and void against shadows so these weapons were created. They are created by fusing a normal weapon with the power of their personas. This is done using a special machine the Ops found blueprints off in the rubble of an old laboratory. The ops’s head scientist is the one in charge of creating these weapons.

Damn
I thought the weekend could not get any worse. I thought that SPW Sunday would turn things around. I thought a lot of things.... I was wrong.
We arrived at the arena and began setting up. Vicente, the caretaker for the venue showed up and started talking to Frosty...and I could tell it was not good. It wasn’t. SPW was officially being evicted from the venue as of now. We had tonight;’s show and then are done. Our first show there was April of 2005 and we ran EVERY SINGLE MONTH since then and now we are homeless.
But not yet. World traveler Timothy Thatcher (A graduate of the SPW Training Academy) came in to run camp for us today.... I hope the students realize how lucky they are for something like that.
Because this was now our farewell show (for this venue....after 158 shows) I decided to throw out the card and put something on that was special. This led to lots are arguing and debating. I walked away from it and watched Timmy educate. My friend and mentor El Flaco Loco is battling a brain tumor. As such he wasnt going to attend the show tonight (him and many others. Bad day for cancellations), He heard this was it and informed us that he was on his way and he wanted to ref the main....Ugly (my trainer and previous owner of SPW) and I. I didn’t want to be in the main. I am a fat piece of shit. I am happy to wrestle. I don’t need the last match. I made my arguments. Pretty much everybody argued against me. It was decided the show would end with a Braveheart Battle Royal (something we invented years ago), It would come down to Ugly and I and then Flaco would come out and make it a singles match for the Extreme title.
It was also decided that all four members of the Honor Society would team for the first time ever at SPW, taking on the Fall Out Boyz and Slade (my originally scheduled opponent). ‘
So, to review, the night after I got knocked out and collected my latest concussion I would be wrestling two matches and be a finalist in a battle royal.
Perfect,
We have drawn over 100 fans every show this year. We have never broken 100 on fathers day. Today we drew 110 and the crowd was amazing,
The show began with a moment of silence for a lost member of the family, Kyle, who died on Monday. And then the announcement that we were being evicted.
What an awful way to start a show,,,,, but the crowd was there for every match. Nuts at times.
The Honor Society match? Insane heat. The title matches? Outstanding. My trainer’s two kids in a singles match? Through the roof.
And the battle royal? They bought into the concept. And Ugly and I turning into a match? One of many times I cried today.
This weekend sucked. Today sucked. Tomorrow I will deal with tomorrow.

True Killer/Fantasy AU
This AU runs on the idea that Yosuke had gotten his abilities around the same time as Yu and was the one to push Saki into the TV world instead of Adachi.
This is also a separate timeline for my original blog so I will put all the Fansty AU points down here. There however will be tweaks as I will only be playing as Yosuke mainly and maybe Morgana from time to time. Also, Mattie from my original blog does not exist in this AU.
Pertaining to timeline events everything thing in this blog takes place a few months after the events of Persona 5
This AU is set in a world where human’s and mythical creatures exist side by side. Magic is the norm here and a lot of the technology here has magical properties to them. Despite all this, the Tv world/Metaverse is still quite a mystery to most. Same goes for the shadows that live there.
TV World/Metaverse
In this world, these places are still considered another world coinciding along with their own.
TV World/Metaverse to the population.
In this world, most if not a good majority of the population know of the TV World/Metaverse but only a select few can enter it. The population also only know of it as another world and don’t know what’s it's actually called. Shadows are not common knowledge to the public and are meant to be kept that way.
How do the different races in the TV world/Metaverse differ in this world?
Well, pretty much any extra abilities that are common for certain creatures become null and void. They have no effect on the shadows there and only their Personas are useful. Also, creatures that normally can’t feel fatigue or don’t tire out easily, will feel this. Despite not having any physical changes happening to anyone inside these worlds, anyone inside is practically reduced to being human.
Shadows
The shadows in this world are a lot stronger due to the influence of so many different magical beings as well as the presence of magic in general. Only Persona’s and recent specialized weapons developed by the Shadow Ops are effective against them. They also have a tendency to actually leak out of the TV World/Metaverse as well as their own world.
Personas
The individual personas look just like how they are in any other normal world but they have the added abilities of their user’s Race.
Merge Points (Mp’s)
These are what the shadow ops call the areas or points where the tv world/metaverse fuse together.
Specialized Personaized Weapons. (SPW’s)
These are the weapons that the Shadow Ops/Persona users utilize to fight physically against shadow attacks. Normal weapons are null and void against shadows so these weapons were created. They are created by fusing a normal weapon with the power of their personas. This is done using a special machine the Ops found blueprints off in the rubble of an old laboratory. The ops’s head scientist is the one in charge of creating these weapons.
Shadow Ops
The main focus of the Shadow Ops in this world is to maintain/detain any leaked shadows, as well as deal with any other Shadow related messes. They are also meant to keep the public from knowing about the existence of Shadows by any means necessary. They are also tasked with studying merge points as well as the other world they are from. They are also tasked with hunting Yosuke down.
Wildcards/Mulitple Persona users
The holders in this world differ only cause of their abilities to shapeshift in the Tv World/Metaverse. Obviously, they cannot physically shapeshift in these worlds but it’s the way they are able to switch through personas. They refer to it as shifting as in this world they cannot actually hold or have more than one Persona. They more or less “see” the potential of another persona thus allowing their original persona to just morph or shift into other personas. As long as that persona does not already have a holder.
Shadow Ops and the Multiverse Knowledge of other worlds is quite common in this world so Shadow Ops members do frequent runarounds for cleanups. As the TV World and Metaverse here are very unstable shadows can and will end up leaking into other worlds. They are also more willing to work will other Shadow Ops members of other worlds and will be willing to lend their technology and knowledge for the help. However, they would prefer to have the technology back after missions are done as they could greatly mess with other worlds
.All the canon events that happened in both 4 and 5 games (and spin-offs )are still the same. However, Izanami was never defeated leaving the whole town of Inaba and only Inaba surrounded in fog. Yosuke’s involvement in the P5 events was minimal and only involved creating mental shutdowns at complete random. He fled the minute Shido was apprehended.
Here is a list of canon characters and their races. These are how Yosuke will refer to canon characters when talking about them. ( Races are subject to change if another blog chooses to have an AU for them.)
P4:
Yu: shapeshifter Chie- witch #kungfuwitch
Yukiko- snow woman
Kanji- Demon
Rise- Succubus #alluring navigator
Teddie- Shadow/bear hybrid #a beary big star
Naoto- Nekomatta
Adachi- vampire #vampiric jester

Solar skyscraper brings renewable energy to new heights
Despite its dense urban environment, the Big Apple is striving for more solar. Residential installations have surged to nearly 6,000 in 2016, from less than 200 five years ago, according to SEIA. It’s no surprise many New York City residents would rather spend money on Broadway shows and top-rated restaurants than rising electricity prices. The state government is also pushing for more solar, committing to 50% renewable power by 2030, and dedicating millions to 11 large renewable projects throughout the state.
In a city of skyscrapers, commercial development isn’t always easy. That’s what Urban Health Plan (UHP), a network of community health centers, found when it sought to install solar on one of its roofs. Seeking to go solar to obtain LEED-certification for its Simpson Pavilion in the South Bronx, the company approached local installer Quixotic Systems. However, when vice president Gerry Heimbuch saw all the roof’s mechanical systems and obstructions, he thought the lack of space made installing solar on the roof impossible.
But this wasn’t the installer’s first rodeo. Heimbuch has an electrical engineering degree and a “serial entrepreneurial” sprit, which is a marvelous mix for starting a solar business. He and his business partner, the company’s president Richard Kleinhave, have run the company since 1999, making it one of the oldest solar energy contractors in the city, if not the entire tristate area.
“Everything is a little more challenging in New York City than in other places,” Heimbuch said. “There are more tall buildings that don’t have large roof spaces, so you’re always running into geometry issues.”
Nevertheless, Quixotic Systems has installed residential solar PV, solar thermal systems and several megawatt-sized projects. The contractor has developed a niche in projects deemed more difficult.
“We try to solve the problems other companies can’t,” Heimbuch said. Quixotic Systems was the perfect match for UHP.
Heimbuch had learned about wall-mounted solar at an Intersolar tradeshow in Munich last year. Vertically mounted solar is popular in Germany, but it hasn’t been done much in the states and had never been attempted by Heimbuch and his team. Still, he was inspired to pitch the idea of “building a solar wall” for UHP.
Did they think he was crazy? “Yes of course,” he remembered with a chuckle. “But we did an in-house rendering, and they loved the way it looked and that it would help UHP achieve LEED certification.”
UHP was on board; now Heimbuch just had to convince his team. “They thought I was crazy too, of course,” he said. “But once you get on the scaffold and do what you have to do, those fears and hesitations go away.”
Still, the project had its difficulties. “The first time you do something it’s always a little bit challenging,” Heimbuch said. “We had to figure out where to attach the solar, how to attach it and get our engineers and the building’s engineers to agree that ‘yes, this thing’s going to stay on the wall.’”
Quixotic Systems designed large, custom racking with vertical and crossed members that 104 SunPower panels attached to in a lattice fashion.
Heimbuch explained that other design aspects were also carefully considered because it’s difficult to change something among the panels once scaffolding is removed. “Everything was done and checked a hundred times,” Heimbuch said. “We’re not going to get up there any time soon if we don’t have to.”
The same philosophy applied to the inverter placement and wire management. Fronius Symo inverters were put on the roof near the electrical service panel.
In all, the team installed the 37-kW system in about three months. In comparison, a system of the same size usually takes a couple weeks.
“The install took a little longer than we wanted because we had to be more careful,” Heimbuch said. “We were conservative in our approach—dropping something from six stories up is not fun.”
The solar installation will offset the center’s energy use by 10%, saving an estimated $230,000 over the next 25 years. The system is expected to generate 31,986 kWh in its first year.
While the system doesn’t have the same production profile as it would on the roof, it will actually perform best in the fall and winter because the panels are on the building’s south-facing wall. Roof-mounted solar tends to produce best in the spring and summer. The client is happy with the results.
“We’re a progressive organization, so everything we do—from providing care to employing people to our energy efficiency efforts—we do the best we can,” said Paloma Izquierdo-Hernandez, president and CEO of UHP, in a press release. “Adding this distinctive solar system not only helps our environment, it saves money that we can put back into services for our community.”
In addition to the solar wall, the facility features sustainably sourced and recycled building materials; an efficient heating, cooling and lighting system; and a “green roof” with 2,000 sq. ft of plants to mitigate heat and reduce storm water runoff.
The project has already generated a lot of attention and is up for the SunPower 2016 Intelegant Award. Quixotic Systems is planning to do a similar installation for a new building going up in Brooklyn. Heimbuch said the installation should be easier, not only because it’s the company’s second vertical-mount array, but his team is working with the building developers and architects to integrate the solar into the building’s designs, rather than add it on after completion.
