The Sunbeam Ruins - What’s your favorite lair aesthetic (doesn’t have to be your own)?

Hmm… let’s go with beach and sea themed lairs. The ones that look like waves on sand, with flowing materials and lovely green-blues. I am a sucker for green-blues. #Letmetellyouaboutmybluegreensproblem

Let’s put it simple, if you got aqua or turquoise or teal or seafoam or jade in there somewhere, you’re on a good path.

Gladekeeper - Do your dragons’ names follow any themes/patterns and if so does that play into their lore?

Oooh yes! Nearly all my dragon names follow certain themes.

The first one is Science, which is a bit vague, so it includes naming dragons after scientists, like Lovelace, to naming them after concepts, like Biota, to naming them after minerals, like Mica, to naming them for literal scientific names for a species, like Pharomachrus.

The second one is Bolivia, which is my home country (Kind of. It’s complicated). This can range from using Quechua or Aymara words for names (like Killa, whose name means moon), to naming dragons after national parks or important cultural references (like Madidi and Tihuanaco).

The exceptions are those dragons who came with names and that I haven’t renamed yet (like Ophelia), or dragons based on already existing characters (like Citlal).

The names, however, often don’t have a lot to do with the lore of the dragon itself. It’s a bit random in this case, to be honest, though I can make thematic connections in a lot of dragon’s names.

Coatl - Which dragon breed has your favorite lore, regardless of how much you like/dislike how they look?

… this is a really good question. Thinking about it right now, it’s probably… guardians. The lore of the charges really impacts guardian lore making, and its such a creative idea that opens all sort of possibilities, from the really horrible to the really sweet. I’ve seen a lot of interesting charge ideas and concepts played around with in the community.

Shadow - If you could change flights for a single day and go back to your own after, what would you switch to and why?

Arcane. I love the curiosity and drive for learning that the flight has inbuilt in its lore, and how it is kind of the “mad science” flight mixed with the “eldritch magic monstrosity” flight.

Original color wheel - List your top five favorite colors and why.

Oh geeze this is going to be hard to choose. I mean, some of these are going to be really obvious (#Letmetellyouaboutmybluegreensproblem), but still! I’m going to make an effort to not just pick everything in the blue-green range.

Trading Post - Have you made friends through or because of FR?

Yes! Friends I am really bad at talking to, but that I consider FR friends (I am so sorry I am so bad at initiating!). People I love seeing on my dash or on discord or skype, and whose thoughts I’m really interested in, and who seem to have fun talking with me! I’ve been very lucky, community wise - I’ve avoided the drama and it’s avoided me, and I’ve met interesting kind people who I somehow got to talk to.

Riot of Rot - Do you have any retired items or familiars that you want to come back for a holiday?

Nooooo, not really. I’m of the opinion that the retired items shouldn’t come back. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t love to get my hands on a light sprite (only sprite I am missing!!) or some of the kickstarter stuff, but I’ve come to terms with not having it and it’s not a priority, and I feel strangely like unretiring the items would be like cheating. *shrug*
