Between Reggie hanging out and commenting on Ray’s photography and Reggie being delighted with and commenting on that lady at Eats&Beats taking pictures of her food, I have concluded that Reggie would be the one to take all the cute Behind The Scenes footage for the Julie and the Phantoms social media pages Flynn runs. And yes he will go full Instagram Boyfriend and lay down on the floor to get the perfect shot of Julie looking like a rockstar or Alex looking all heart-eyed at Willie.

And yes Flynn starts letting him write captions which is why you’ve got things like ‘the way Alex looks at Willie is the same way Luke looks at a shiny new guitar (sorry Julie)’ and ‘I think Julie Molina should be president maybe’.

hey, i'm peebs/bee. this is my oc blog where i might also talk about personal writing projects. the jury's still out. i've sort of always wanted to archive all my oc posts in one place like a scrapbook but i don't have the pinterest-user's temperament, so tumblr it is. enjoy if you browse!

i like emojis. i think they're cute and fun. sue me.

🍰 - my "slice of life" ocs. i dreamt up a lot of these characters in high school and they've done a lot of growing with me over the years, but i don't have any particular story for them. i just sort of shake them around in a jar every few months.

👑 - AFT, aka "abstract fantasy thing," the first attempt at a fantasy novel i ever made. i had a lot of grand plans about shady political plots and faked deaths and forest witch macguffins that never quite came together, but i was also 15, so.

💀 - "necromess" (can you tell that placeholder titles are killing me?), my high school necromancy novel. the rough outline is that a band geek with necromantic powers (largely unexplained, a la pushing daisies) accidentally hits the star lacrosse player with her car in the middle of the night and is forced to bring him back to life, but he doesn't come back quite right. to fix him she has to get to know him through the popular crowd he hung out with, and she might uncover a more sinister plot by the school's queen bees along the way.

🌲 - the coparenting emoji. all of these ocs actually belong to my best friend snail, but we've been writing together for over a decade now, so the line of who actually owns whom is in constant flux.

🔍 - mystery girls. this is a small-college murder mystery i started developing while attending a small college. go figure. when max's boyfriend justin turns up dead, she's forced to link up with justin's sister jessamine, justin's tutor yvette, and rylan, the last person to see justin alive, if she wants to figure out what happened to him. they all kind of hate each other in a homoerotic way.

✨ - "refraction," my magical girl group. this is another one that never got off the ground, but i wanted to try my hand at writing epic fights and conceptualizing fun and unique powers.

🔮 - "noire," my urban fantasy detectives. i'm talkin dingy smoky office with a frosted glass door. i'm talkin run-ins with the mob except the mob is comprised of gatormen. i'm talkin magical freelance autopsy. this is a vibes piece first and foremost.

⚔️ - QST, or "quest" if you're regular. high-fantasy prophecy story in which the chosen one must march toward his death knowingly, because he's just that selfless of a guy, while the wizard guiding him forth and the rogue tagging along to "make sure he doesn't fuck up" fall deeply in love with him. and each other.

🪦 - "spectral distancing," a short story i wrote during pandemic isolation. it follows cleo, a college kid with a summer job cleaning up graves, and the ghost of a dead woman who follows her home. having recently lost her older sister to a car accident, she handles this new visitor in an extremely well-adjusted way. her friends murphy and will exist in the background to support her and also so i can dream up increasingly indulgent ot3 scenarios with them.

🌙 - "a night in castle de lune," aka "whoops, all monsterfucking!" nell needs a magical cure for her brother's illness and sneaks into the creepy vampire castle on the outskirts of town to steal it from his hoard. a whole host of creatures stands between her and her goal—but she'd do anything to save her brother.

to reiterate, mostly i'll be archiving my main blog's oc posts and categorizing new ones here, but if the spirit moves me i might post writing excerpts too. thanks for reading if you made it this far 💚

They’re not really named in any order other than the order they came to mind in (and also I’m taking a page out of @paris-geller-was-straightwashed ‘s book and do little descriptions Bc why not). I hope you’re all ready for me to type incompressible nonsense about some of my favs!

1. Alec Hardison (Leverage)

He fits my “brilliant but a dumbass who is also a smartass” character type. Literally any character who has a genius level IQ, not a single ounce of common sense, and a witty one-liner for any occasion is automatically my favorite. (And, okay, Hardison has a bit of common sense, but he’s still a bit of a dumbass. Plus, a witty character who is a part of my fav OT3? Of course). Also he (and the other four main characters on this show) is such a well developed character and there’s a reason I’ve seen this show for what is going to be the fifth time once I finish the last one and a half seasons left of my rewatch.

2. Zuko (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

He’s awkward, struggles with his desires, emotions, and morality, and has one of, if not the best, redemption arc that I’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing. He encapsulates repressed confused teenager and I used to relate to him big time (trying to figure out whether what you want is worth it, if you want what your parents want for you, and if you’re willing to sacrifice parts of yourself or people who are important to you to reach a goal that you feel like you’re supposed to want. I have a lot of feelings about zuko and I’m not sorry about it). Also I’m pretty sure he’s a disaster bi, thank you very much.

3. Timothy McGee (NCIS)

Okay, I’m only on season seven on NCIS, but I highly doubt I’m ever going to not like Tim. McGee is simply babey and that is all. He’s brilliant, he’s a published writer (!!! Ain’t that the dream) and he only does it in his free time, and he’s had some of the most character development since his introduction and his entire arc is like very nice and gradual and realistic and I just love him, alright. Every found family has a youngest sibling, and Tim is NCIS’s.

4. Rory Gilmore (Gilmore Girls)

It’s a hard choice between Rory, Paris, and Jess for Gilmore Girls, tbh (a lot of sometimes angry book nerds, whoops). But something about Rory just speaks to me. She’s smart (and sometimes really dumb but mood) and driven and a little awkward and well-read and open minded and witty and well spoken and gahhh. She was also a small bit of my bisexual awakening so 🤷‍♂️ what can you do.

5. Harry Potter (Harry Potter)

My favorite disaster bi from my favorite series in the history of ever (at least so far). Harry Potter (both the series and the boy) is what I come back to a lot, and so of course he had to make it onto the list.

6. Chandler Bing (FRIENDS)

Sarcastic, smart, smartass, dumbass, need I say more?

Also, a king of existential despair and big same, bud.

7. Leo Fitz (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D)

He’s awkward and a genius and a smartass (tho he does have some common sense, usually). He has so much character development and one of the few canon relationships I really adore. He has so much happen to him and yet he’s just... fitz. And he grows and evolves but he’s still the same fitz that he starts as and I’m just love him a lot.

8. Peter Parker (Marvel)

I love the MCU Peter Parker but, tbh, I love most adaptations of Peter Parker. I used to watch the old cartoons when I was a kid (and I think there was a more recent cartoon as well) and I have several Spider-Man video games and I just love him a lot. He was my first favorite character and also brilliant but a dumbass who is also a smartass, so that’s even better.

9. James Maguire (Derry Girls)

(This is from a show I hadn’t even watched yet when I started making this post, whoops, and now I love it) But honestly James is just my favorite idk. He’s in possession of the groups singular braincell the most (other than probably Claire) but he’s still kind of a dumbass. He’s the outsider of the group but also he’s definitely a part of the group and also we love a found family arc kind of situation and he had it.

10. Cirilla (The Witcher (the TV show))

Again, another new show. But Ciri is my favorite out of a cast of characters that I really really love. She just has, in my opinion, one of the most emotionally interesting arcs I’ve seen in a while because she goes from being a princess to being on the run and tries to fend for herself and figure out her destiny and I just love her and want good things for her. Plus, there are some found family feels and therefore found family fics and that’s very Yeehaw.

Fandoms: Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Mystic Messenger, Stardew Valley, and now Skyrim are all ones I’ve written for. I’m a lurker/enjoyer of content in a lot more, most recently The Witcher (I’ve only seen the Netflix show but plan on delving further into it when I have time), Borderlands, and I’m always game for some Good Omens art. Most Popular One-Shot: An Awkward Start which was a prompt for Cullen/Evelyn ages ago. I...have mixed feelings about that considering who I think helped me brainstorm it. So instead I’ll say Dream a Little Dream of Me which was my first fanfic idea for Cullen/Evelyn that turned into Eye of the Storm because doing that as a long fic instead of a long one shot (eep I need to edit that probably...) was daunting.

Most Popular Multi-Chapter Story: Beautiful Disaster, which still amazes me. It’s surpassed 20k hits and has I try not to think about the other stats levels of kudos and subs and books.

Favorite Story You Wrote:  Just Like Heaven and Wicked Game combined. Really delving into Abby’s backstory and John’s character helped me grow so much as a writer and to this day that might be one of the best things I’ve ever written. (They were put on hold because of plans I had for them but plans have changed and now I’m just...distracted. Whoops.)

Story You Were Nervous to Post: Arguably Eye of the Storm because I was so, so nervous to share my writing at all. But I was also nervous posting Lovers & Dreamers because I knew the premise (OT3 with Rylen and my two OCs, particularly John) wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea and I didn’t want...people to feel obligated maybe? I 100% write it for me and I’ve always hoped readers understand that. Diving into new fandoms is always nerve-wracking too and the first pieces I posted for Mystic Messenger (especially since my first one shot  was canon divergent smut, Just a Touch because I had too many feels while I was playing it)

How You Choose Your Titles: Some are song titles or lyrics (Just Like Heaven), some are just phrases that fit really well for the fic (Eye of the Storm and Hero Worship).

Complete: *cries* Ummm...Early on I did finish two fun modern AUs for Cullen and Evelyn when I was kind of messing around with their dynamic and just getting back into writing after years of not at all (Rehabilitation and Even Doves Have Pride). I also finished part one of my Mass Effect fics, Goose Bumps (which actually predated all my DA fics in actual writing, but not posting).

Incomplete: Everything else. Ha. Ha ha. Ha ha ha. *cries some more*

Do You Outline? Occasionally. Sometimes I outline just a few chapters out. I almost always start a fic with an idea of where it will end up, with maybe a few points known in between (like a zigzaggy map in my brain that somehow connects Point A to Point K to Point M to Point R to Point Y then Z). I have a few fics that are outlined all the way, most notably Twelve Moons, my Avvar fic, and I actually have an outline of the Skyrim fic, Go It Alone, I just started which I find mind-blowing. Sometimes outlines are restricting to me, but sometimes really helpful. It depends on the story and how much work the idea (or timeline) needs/takes. I try not to make this feel too much like work, since it’s for fun and for me.

Coming Soon/Not Yet Started: Please, oh patron saints of writing, just lemme finish these WIPs before I start anything else. Then again I just sort of go where the muse takes me, so if something truly inspired comes up I might write it. Fighting the muse is worse, in my experience. I will say the one thing “coming soon” to my main Ao3 is going to be the fics on my secondary account, which are my Mystic Messenger and Stardew Valley fics. The reason for me starting a second account has dissipated and I’m sick of balancing two so...whenever I get around to it I’ll be making a pseud to combine them all in one place.

Do You Accept Prompts? I used to, and haven’t in a while. I took them around the time my brain was getting all screwed up around writing and expectations and it just made everything feel like work, and plus my anxiety fucks with me and tells me that the promptee will hate it so...I haven’t in a long time because I’ve been happier not. Maybe I’ll try again in the future.

Upcoming Story You Are Most Excited to Write: I have a few I’m excited about. I’m excited to have the muse back for Twelve Moons (sort of, it’s still a tiny struggle) as well as my new Skyrim fic. I think in a lot of ways I’ve needed a break from DA. Rylen and Abby at this point are all that really tethers me to it, and I absolutely love them (so I’ll be getting back to those fics for sure). But right now writing something with zero expectations with a very different OC than I’ve ever written and an enemies to lovers trope that I don’t normally do...that’s been a lot of fun and the muse is really strong. But I’ve also been working on some original fiction (balancing two because ofc I am...I never can focus on one story at a time siiiiigh) and I’m insanely excited about it. I’m hoping to finish that up...by the end of the year if not much sooner (once I get past my move in the next month and half...which I’ve been ignoring is that soon haha)

Because I am really getting lost in the math behind “most popular” fic. And it’s most definitely more than just “reaching a different audience” when the feedback for one and the same fic differs between over 1k comments on one site vs not even reaching 100 comments on another site.

Fandoms You Write For: Okay so let‘s only involve the ones I am still actively involved with, not the ones that are like... eight years old and I haven’t thought of them once, yeah? That’d be: Percy Jackson, Shadowhunters, Marvel, Rise of the Guardians/How to Train Your Dragon, Detective Conan/Magic Kaito, Vampire Academy, Jungle Book, DC Comics/the Arrowverse, Descendants

Where You Post: AO3 and FFN, but occasionally also on tumblr - when it’s prompts or drabbles

Most Popular One-Shot: Depends on where you ask. And what you define as popular. Personally, the only value I see are in comments - kudos are literally just the press of one button, they mean nothing, and hits aren’t an indicator of much either considering it counts as a hit even when you opt out after a paragraph.

I’ve only had my AO3 for five years now, meaning that the fics on FFN still had four more years to simmer on there and gather attention, I suppose. Meaning, a fic posted for the first time obviously gets more attention than a four years later mass repost on another site.

On AO3, the oneshit with most comment threads would be How to Court the Prettiest Omega Ever in Five Years or Less, my first PJO ABOverse fic, featuring Nicercy. Which, you know, is only 37 comments on there. Seriously I genuinely blame the existence of the kudo function for the overall lackluster comment-response on AO3 because “press one button vs actually writing words”... but that’s a different conversation to be had. (I mean, seriously, in comparison, this fic has 51 comments on FFN... and it is by far not the one with most comments I have over there).

The clear winner if you look at FFN is Something Went Wrong, my first Minotaur/Percy smut fest with a whooping 116 comments. And yes. Positive. Genuinely did not expect that when after weeks of debating, I decided to post this story. *chuckles* (Again, for comparison, this fic got a total of 8 comments on AO3... eight... the difference there is staggering... Which, I’d like to tag on that, on top of the kudo-nonsense, the fact that AO3 displays total amount of comments to the readers and not comment threads is also misleading and I don’t think it helps, because I think you’re more inclined if you see it’s only 8 comment-threads in total on a fic you like vs it showing you 16 comments as the total comment-count.)

Most Popular Multi-Chapter Story: THIS IS TOO HARD TO ANSWER. I’d have to consult my chart, but that hasn’t been updated in ages. Because overall amount of comments means little if you don’t also take into account the amount of chapters - 50 comments on a oneshot are a lot, 50 comments on a 5 chapter fic, not so much, and 50 comments on a 50 chapter is frustrating to receive.

Okay, let me go full nerd on this one. Y’all know I love charts. There was a time where I was interested enough in finding this out that I had a chart going of all my multiple chapter fics. With a collumn on how many chapters the story had at that point in time, how many total comments on AO3, how many total comments on FFN and what, by combining those two numbers and dividing them through the chapter-count, was the average amount of comments per chapter.

However, that chart had last been updated on December 31st 2016. There’s been a lot of influx, lot of new stories and other stories gaining/losing popularity, so when I now say Meet the di Angelos with a 2016 average of 57,25 comments/chapter, that is completely exclusing ten fics I wrote since then.

Damn now I really wanna update the charts...

Also if you can’t tell by now how much actual feedback and comments mean to me, I genuinely don’t know how else to convey it... xD”

If you go by total comment-count - which, again, is misleading because you gotta keep the chapter-count in mind - it’d be Chasing Fireflies on FFN with 1749 comments (on 102 chapters. And, again, for comparison, 88 comment-threads on AO3. 88 vs 1749 is insane) and Percy and the Ghost King of Summers High on AO3 with 749 comments (on 50 chapters. On FFN that’s actually on 990 comments. Far smaller difference here compared to other stories).

Though I dunno, if you measure popular by fanart received, Summers High comes in with five, while my Chasingverse is in with 6... and multiple fanfictions written for it.

Favorite Story You Wrote: Favorite to write, or favorite to reread? There’s a difference there. I’m insanely proud of Chasing Fireflies and the plot and world I created there, the character development. I... don’t really reread it it’s over 500k long I don’t have that time.

Currently, I am really loving The Primal Instinct, it is sooo much fun to write, I get to put basically all my favorite headcanons in there, I’ll get to write Aline and Helen more and Jace’s interactions with others, it features both my favorite OT3s at once. (And it is faaar from my most popular one. Just, feel like mentioning this because my numbers-obsession may read as only writing for comments, which I don’t, I mainly write for myself. The comments are just... very, very nice treats to receive. Also, I love numbers and charts and were curious to see if there is a kind of trend there in what does receive most attention sooo...)

Story You Were Nervous to Post: Uuuh every new thing. Every time I step outta my comfort zone. Trying out a new pairing for the first time. Venturing into a new fandom for the first time. Experimenting with a new kink and wondering if this would be too much. Literally every single time, still.

How Do You Choose Your Titles: On a whim. I suck at titles. Mostly I try to force alliterations because I am a sucker for alliterations, but otherwise I do try to go with “as it says on the tin”, or I try a pun/being clever. Aside from my Triton/Percy fics. Every single fic I’ve written for them is named after a song from Disney’s The Little Mermaid franchise and I have yet to run out of songtitles to use for fics and hey, by then they’ll probably have included a new song in the live-action remake so there’s that! :D

Do You Outline: Depends. Oneshots? No. I just write those. Multiple-chapter fics? ...Depends. xD

If I have a clear vision for where it’s going to go, I do tend to divide into chapters and make myself small notes on what goes into said chapters. Mostly, it’s just a rambled “and x happens and then y” at the end though and then I see how I can make it fit into chapters.

Complete: 795 stories on AO3! Damn, I’ve been busy.

In-Progress: As of right now, 4. Because this week features my Ace Awareness 7-parter, though technically we’re right now down to 3 multi-chapter fics because the next one is only due to be released and join the rotation!

A-and that is as far as I have planned my schedule ahead. Those three are the only fics on my personal schedule that I haven’t started working on yet. I don’t like to plan ahead too much, because then you just completely lose interest in the story by the time you get around to actually writing it.

Do You Accept Prompts: Prompts, not so much. Requests, yeah. For one, prompts always seem so demanding, while requests are more polite - and also more structured. Prompts are always like “here have one quick trope thrown at your head” and like... I do have a well-enough planned-out schedule with more than enough fics of my own set, I don’t need to try and turn one random prompt into an actual story. But if someone has a specific request, a pairing and an actual plot, that they really wanna see, I do always hear them out, I may not always like the pitch and thus not accept them all, but on the overall I do accept requests.

More inclined to accept birthday requests than random requests, because random requests would be put into the rotation of my schedule and, well come on that shouldn’t be a surprise, they tend to be pushed off then in favor of fic ideas I came up with myself because there’s nearly always more enthusiasm about writing an idea that you came up with yourself than the idea of someone else. Whereas birthday requests have a set date that doesn’t disturb my schedule and I am a big softie who has a weakness for getting gifts myself so I do like to do something nice for someone so they get something special for their birthday.

Questions Under the Cut

WHICH OC MOST REFLECTS YOU? I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again. Sadie is pretty much my self insert TW character, and I’ve grown to the point that I’m not ashamed of that. 

WHICH OC HAS A STORYLINE SO DARK IT MAKES YOU FEEL GUILTY? Oh, poor Katherine. I have given some and taken away even more, and I cannot imagine someone going through that kind of pain. But it’s Supernatural, so that’s the norm, and her life will go on.

HOW DO YOU NAME YOUR OC’S? I have honest to God never been able to answer this question? I am so bad at answering this. I usually just mull common names around until I find something that I think fits the character’s feel. Last names I quite literally pull out of the air and then Google to make sure they are not real people.

WHICH OC DO YOU WRITE MOST FOR? Sadie has the highest page count right now, with two and a half installments under her belt. But I’ve been working on Kat for about 3 months now, which is so exciting for me. Usually any time I pick up a story I put it down again after about a month. Breaking that cycle to pursue something is really great for a change. Kat’s on about page 70.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MAKING MOST: POSTERS, AESTHETICS, GIFS, PLAYLISTS, MANIPS, ETC? What do I enjoy making personally? Manip gifs. I’m still learning how to make my way around photoshop, and I don’t have a lot of the beautiful aesthetic and texture skills of a lot of the creators in the community, but I’m really proud of how far my gif edits have come since the first time I tried about 5 years ago. 

DO YOU HAVE AN OC THAT’S FOR A SUPER OBSCURE FANDOM? I have so many OCs for so many damn fandoms. First that comes to mind is that a couple months ago I got weirdly fixated on the movie Pearl Harbor, and I made an OC for Josh Hartnett’s character in that. 

WHAT ARE SOME FUN FACTS ABOUT YOUR OC’S? Little fun facts about each of them? Alright uh...let’s see. SADIE’s middle name is Leandra, which I will not officially reveal until season 5. EMILY’s current college major is computer science, but she hasn’t taken any of the classes. ISABELLE is a stress baker who specializes in cupcakes.  EMMELINE has a natural talent for Herbology, but she finds it rather boring. And KAT enjoys plain bagels with cream cheese and peanut butter. 

I DARE YOU TO SPOIL A HUGE PLOT POINT IN YOUR CURRENT STORY (ONLY IF YOU WANT, I’M SERIOUS ONLY IF YOU WANT) Kat is able to hear and see angels in their true form. ;) (whoop whoop some Katstiel)

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE FANDOM TO WRITE OC’S FOR? Well I have 3 Teen Wolf OC’s, so I guess it’s that haha. Technically 4. 

DID SOMEONE IN YOUR LIFE INSPIRE A CERTAIN OC? One of my Teen Wolf OC’s is modeled after Briana - @c-bellz​ - who will make a cameo in the third installment of The Wild Side. 

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE A FACECLAIMS FOR YOUR OC’S? A lot of times I do use face claim helpers to get me within a usual age range. Then you have to take sources into play - e.x. a Teen Wolf OC would probably need someone who is in a show about high school, just for visual purposes. But for a few I already had the actress in mind. Or sometimes the FC even comes first. With Isabelle and Kat at least, the FCs definitely came first.

IS THERE A SPECIFIC SONG THAT FITS ONE OF YOUR OC’S SO WELL IT’S INSANE? I had just finished the first chapter of Gospel of the Chosen when I pulled up “All I Really Want” by Alanis Morissette, and honestly that song is SO Kat that I had a religious experience. 

WHERE DO YOU MAINLY POST YOUR FICS? Fanfiction. The goal is to only post to an additional fic site once I have a completed story, so I can control where my work is being seen and recognize plagiarizing. 

DO ANY OF YOUR STORIES HAVE POLYAMOROUS RELATIONSHIPS? WELL, I’d say the closest is Dean/Kat/Cas. They’re a serious OT3 for me, and I definitely play on the Destiel/Katstiel aspects of their relationship. 

DO YOU HAVE ANY QUEER OC’S? Mmmm yup, Sadie and Kat are both bi, and Sammi is a lesbian. 

DO YOU HAVE AN POC OC’S? Nylah from my 100 fic is hispanic, as is Rosa Alvarez, who is my Scott/OC. She may or may not make an appearance in TWS, but I’m leaning towards wanting her to have her own plot universe.

IS THERE A COMMON TRAIT ALL YOUR OC’S SHARE? I try to avoid making all of my characters the same, though it did occur to me the other day that every one my characters loves bacon cheeseburgers. I cannot imagine writing a character that would not. (OMG except maybe my HP Ocs? I can’t imagine Emmeline eating one, so myth busted.)

IS THERE AN OC YOU’VE NEVER POSTED ANYTHING FOR? HAHAHAHAHAHA so many. I have a lot of OCs where I focus on edits largely because I’m so afraid of not finishing stories. The hope is to completely finish my stories for Kat and Emmeline before I ever post the first chapter. Who knows if that will remain, but it is the goal for now.

HAVE YOU EVER HAD A DREAM WHERE ONE OF YOUR OC’S WAS IN IT? I literally just woke up from a dream about Kat when I took my nap today. Hella.

3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?

Probably this one, the Looking Glass/Feynites fandom. It’s definitely the most active I’ve ever been in one, and everyone so far has been so lovely and supportive of each other and it’s wonderful.

8. How did you get involved in your latest fandom?Oh man. I think I wanted to read more Modern AU Solavellan and I came across the HWRC story and devoured it, then went on to The Dread Wolfs Heart (Because it was completed already and I thought ‘oh by the time I get through this, HWRC will update!’ and it did, once.) and then I read through  TDWH AUs (Specifically the porny ones tbh) and then I wanted to read more and found Feynites tumblr and quietly liked everything for a long long time until more info came out and quietly wrote private stories and drew pictures of Selene and Thenvunin (Don’t judge me, first draft Selene was very different from who she is now and Sharkbait wasn’t a thing yet) because he was my favorite, and then Dirthamen popped up and I rambled in tags about Selene being a good match for him and then Fey messaged me like 'hey tell me more about Selene because Dirthamen deserves good things’ and I made a little list and then I wrote a backstory (that I think Fey is still the only person to have read, whoops) and now it’s taken over my life and it’s great.

9. What are the best things about your current fandom?Pretty much everyone is supportive of each other and it’s nice to have a fandom where when people do try to start drama everyone sort of collectively publicly ignores it and creates more positivity instead of feeding into it.

12. Who is your current OT3?

Deceit/Selene/Dirthamen, But Steve/Darcy/Bucky from the marvel fandom is pretty high up there too.

14. Go on, who are your BroTPs?Aelynthi/Thenvunin, Selanna, Selene/Adannar, uhhhh…there are a lot, tbh. Like a LOT.

15. Is there an obscure ship which you love?(Does Dirthalene or Desashim count?)  I quietly but intensely ship Haninan and Hildur in LG, and also Aili Lavellan and Uthvir in all of their various AUs.

18. What ship have you written the most about?Dirthalene hands down. I’m almost at 1000 posts on this blog that’s almost entirely dedicated to them and I’m just stunned I was even capable of producing anything. For a really long time I left things very private or just in my head because I didn’t think anyone would be interested.

19. Is there a ship which you wished you could get behind, but you just don’t feel them?Not really? I’m pretty open to most ships, so long as you can show it’s a healthy relationship.

20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking?Desashim wasn’t supposed to happen, but here I am with headcanons and storylines in my head for them.

22. Is there anything you regret writing?Ehh….I don’t love Mermaid AU. I mean I do, and I liked what it was in my head but I can’t even look at the writing anymore tbh. I don’t regret it per se, because it started a lot of people talking and interacting with it, which is why I won’t pull it down. It’s still something I’d like to redo once my writing skills improve, but I just don’t think I got across what I wanted to with it.

23. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it.I really like the reincarnation AU. It’s one of my favorites. I like having a Selene whose gotten past a lot of her personal issues and can work with Des rather than against him, and I like that it’s got a lot of fluff and a lot of potential for fluff and porn and I can usually reread my own bits for it without feeling embarrassed about the quality of it.

26. How do you come up with your fanfic titles?Usually I like alliteration or a quote or something relating to the overall theme of the piece. Or a pun. I like puns.

27. What do you hate more: Coming up with titles or writing summaries?Summaries. There is a reason I don’t really have any summaries, but I still occasionally title.

30. What inspires you to write?Other people’s writings or art, usually. A tag or something I was tagged in, or someone else posting something and my mind going 'OH OH OH AND WHAT IF THEN-’ and so on.

37. First person or third person - what do you write in and why?

Third person usually. It’s just what I usually read and think in, so that’s what I tend to write.

38. Do you use established canon characters or do you create Ocs?OCs (with permission) are more fun, and less likely to spark arguments in my experience.

40. What do you struggle the most with in your writing?Actually Writing.

45. What is your all time favourite fanfic?I can’t pick one, I love too many (literally I can barely pick favorites from my favorite authors there’s no way I could pick one fanfic that was my absolute favorite, sorry)

46. If someone was to read one of your fanfics, which fic would you recommend to them and why?This would depend a whole lot on what they were looking for, to be honest.

49. Do you care if people comment/reblog your writing? Why/why not?Yes, because I thrive on attention and compliments, they make me feel warm and fuzzy and I like knowing that the work and effort that goes into things means something to someone.

50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?I got my own computer at the age of 7, and didn’t have an allowance or income so I splurged by reading whatever I could find for free. 

51. Rant or Gush about one thing you love or hate in the world of fanfiction! Go!I love that people can explore tropes and characters outside of what’s considered the social norm, I love that even if Tony and Bruce are never going to have another on-screen moment together in the MCU, I can hop onto AO3 and find several hundred stories about them getting happily ever afters, or about Tony getting the mental health and support he needs, or that if something terrible happens in canon there will be plenty of other 'canon-divergent’ stories that go AHAHA NOPE, and I love that it’s created this atmosphere where characters in the public eye can become more well-rounded and explored outside of time or budget constraints just because people want them to and I think that sense of creativity and creation and community is wonderful.
