Okay so they live in a city named Horoscopia and it's divided into 6 districts (plus a main square): alchemy, architecture, combat, history, botany and [work in progress ,sorry :P ]. Each district has their own fashion, main import/export, architecural style etc. They only really share the laws. Mostly humans live in the city except the alchemy district. That's where most of the imps live. They're the only ones that can do all of alchemy, while humans can only make a fraction of the potions that imps can. I have some human OCs too I just have to draw them so I'm probably gonna go do that after I post this :P

Also I wanted to mention the two main inspirations for this: No Straight Roads and Minecraft: Story Mode!! The city split into districts idea is from NSR and their Vinyl City and I designed some OCs and named/designed a few districts with MCSM characters in mind (alchemy district & Ivor, combat district & Gabriel/Petra, architecture district & Soren, one of my human OCs looks alot like Petra). Genshin Impact and The Owl House were a big influence too, although not as much as the previous two, at least at this stage (botany district & plant coven, alchemy district & potion coven, architecture district & construction coven, I imagine that the architecture district's fashion is alot like in Fontaine)

anyways if you wanna hear my recollection of dashcon it's under the cut.

i was literally just a teenager at the time but seeing dashcon ads on Tumblr I was like. it's in Schaumburg??? like 30min from me??? I HAVE to go this is going to be the coolest thing ever. I love Tumblr all my mentally ill friends and supernatural gifs are on that website. I bet they're gonna have the coolest party ever.

so i asked for the dashcon tix for my birthday! it was for me and my best friend (who attended and even cosplayed Homestuck with me despite not knowing anything about it) and my mom, who was mostly excited about staying in the nice hotel and swimming in the pool. I was so hype for this. anyways we get there and as people have previously talked about vis a vis dashcon, it was so hilariously underwhelming. the first thing you had to do was walk into the registration hall. I think most people have seen pics but they had written "Welcome DashCon" or something to that effect on the ground using blue painters tape, and the hall was empty asf which was really funny because they had set the table up aaaaaall the way at the back so you just got to walk across this big empty hall towards ONE PERSON sitting at a table (who in retrospect I'm pretty sure was the 19 year old they'd foisted this thing onto). she was super nice at the time though so shout out to that interaction.

we pretty much immediately headed for the only actual show floor area, which was the artists alley. if dashcon attendees are hard to find, I'm sure dashcon exhibitors are fucking unicorns bc there was... maybe 30 booths, if I'm being very generous. that being said, I got to meet nd Stevenson at dashcon! he was really nice, and complimented my cosplay. it's kind of fun to get to say I met the artist and author behind nimona and lumberjanes and she-ra at fucking DASHCON lol. hopefully next time I meet him it will be as a fellow professional comics artist huh who said that

gotta take a moment here to stress something. dashcon was very poorly planned and executed. this is true. BUT. the atmosphere, especially on the first day, was so joyful and connected. everyone was so stoked to be at THE Tumblr convention. all of us were weirdos who liked the weirdo website enough to show up in person for all our weirdo friends. We were all exchanging urls and taking big group photos and going to grab lunch together. people were very open and friendly. and I know that's my perspective as well, obviously there were plenty of things going horribly wrong behind the scenes, but having only been an attendee, it really wasn't the worst experience.

anyways so the day was fun and weird and a little boring because dashcon had fucking nothing going on but anyways so the scamming part. they called everyone into this main ballroom and stood on a little stage up front and were like "HEY IF WE DONT RAISE $200,000 THEYRE SHUTTING US DOWN" which definitely did NOT break my tiny little idiot baby heart. I definitely was super self aware and knew this was a dumb scam and I definitely DIDN'T cry and run to the hotel pool to tell my mom. she however immediately went "they're scammers and we paid for our hotel room so whatever lol". my bestie gave them $10 and after the fact was (rightfully) SUPER pissed about it because she WAS smarter than me and figured out the scam thing faster.

I think besides that scam thing the other thing I remember thinking was such fucking bullshit was that we would be walking past the ballroom where Welcome to Night Vale was supposed to perform and the line was insane. It was literally SOOOOO many people. I remember being a little bummed that I hadn't gotten tickets which was.... obviously a short lived regret. when they announced the night Vale cancellation I definitely realized shit was hinky.

a majority of the photos I have are from ballpitstuck! there was a Homestuck meetup at the ball pit, but a lot of us had found each other already and had been hanging out in little feral packs of homestucks, so we all meshed super well and basically immediately all became besties. we ended up kind of collectively agreeing to post stuff in the "ballpitstuck" tag, which is hilarious. I actually made fanart at the time! It's somewhere in the depths of my art blog. I've probably posted most of these before but for posterity:

we were cringe. but we were free. no but for real I did have so much fun hanging with the homestucks.

anyways the rest of the con was pretty much just hanging out and watching everything burn from the inside out. my favorite part was watching Tumblr react to dashcon in real-time, because everyone AT the convention was posting about it, and everyone who wasn't at the convention was actively following the updates. by the time we left I just remember being like "I think we've just experienced something very interesting". and now there's a Wikipedia page and a sarah z video about it so.

Okay, so I finally had time to log back into tumblr and see you explained about Midnight Museum but now I am even more confused. So like, Khatha is immortal, but Dome isn't? But like if I was remembered being someone's ~brother in arms~ I'm not gonna like be your employee, lol. And brothers at that? With a $3 BILLION anklet? Why does Off get to be paired with damn near every woman in this company but Gun can't be in a show with another dude being his man? Lemme see if I can break this down, some light spoilers:

Khatha owns the museum, we know this b/c he says so and he's wearing a sexy suit and has a sexy cane to boot. All mysterious supernatural building owners wear sexy fashion statements Hotel Del Luna taught us this. Khatha is immortal, but via a curse, so he's constantly sad and struggling. He's a wet cat, just sad, pathetic, and crying. It's very hot, good for him.

Khatha was cursed by his """"bro"""" Chan something like 200 years ago. Chan is played by the same actor as Dome (we'll get there stay wit me) so they share a face. Khatha found Chan passed out in a boat b/c God likes to gift angel faced twinks to struggling disabled men sometimes I guess. Khatha is an orphan so he had no name, so Chan names him "Khatha" which means cane/spector apparently so whenever Google translates tweets from Thai fans they always say "I can't believe cane/the mace did this" and it's unintentionally hilarious

Oh and Khatha names Chan, Chan b/c he "found [him] under the moonlight". Khatha and Chan are Tragic AF for some reason Khatha thinks naming the angel faced twink after the moon is like, a lead in to being brothers. So Khatha is like "hey 'let's be adopted bros now" and Chan is like....I'm new here so I guess? Chan also has magic, he's able to heal ppl. Eventually he accidently becomes like a worshipped deity in their small village and another dude named Boon is like his top worshipper. This all causes friction between Chan and Khatha cause Khatha's low key lonely and jealous.

Khatha is like "let's run away together just the two of us as brothers like how it used to be" and Chan's like, nah. Khatha tries to join the army so he can be worthy of standing by Chan's side and the army is like "we gotta burn the witch (Chan)" and Khatha makes a deal with the army that they'll let him join if he gives them Chan and they're like "we totally won't hurt your brother" and Khatha's like I totally trust y'all won't hurt my brother

The army burns Chan alive.

Chan cursed Khatha and we zoom back to the present where Khatha is the museum owner.

Enter Dome! Dome is also magical and at first Khatha wonders if he's like Chan's reincarnation or something but he's not. Dome is a separate being (??). Dome gets invited to the museum by Khatha and Dome's ex bff breaks in and steals a bunch of evil shit with some buddies. Dome feels bad and is like "I gotta help you get the evil shit back!"

Dome and Khatha go on Getting Evil Shit Back adventures and proceed to Have Moments and Khatha keeps touching Dome's face like it's going out of style. Also holding him cause Dome passes out more often than a frat dude during rush week.

After like, the 5th time of Dome putting himself in danger b/c he's brave but dumb and shockingly fragile Khatha is like "I'm buying you this protection anklet" and then fires Dome for his protection. The next episode 85% of Khatha's screentime is dedicated to pining after Dome, looking at his corkboard of Dome photos, gazing longingly and sadly at Dome's photographs, crying on the phone after Dome calls him to wish him well. It's pathetic, it's beautiful, it's romantic.

Other stuff like cults, the end of the world, that dude from Bad Buddy showing up, that dude from 2Gether also showing up, the two dudes from the Thai adaption of Cherry Magic are also here, a whole episode of soul crushingly attractive women some I think were in F4 are also here as well. There's also like, four versions of God, and the Horsemen of the Apocalypse are here too. Chan shows back up too for funsies.

Dome ends up in like, an alt realm where he imagines Khatha to keep himself company and they look at the universe together. Dome is able to see real!Khatha by picturing the person he's "longing for". Khatha is hella determined to get Dome back.

Some more plot stuff happens, more crying, more resolving one's inner grief, a couple deaths, some deals with evil spirits are made. Khatha and Dome meet their world's version of God who 3rd wheels their floating rock date. They have and the height difference has a chokehold on me.

At the end Khatha has to find Dome even tho all the higher beings in the universe are like "don't do it" and Khatha is like fuck y'all I gotta find my "missing piece". They find each other, they hold hands and then run into the future together (away from gun fire and stuff like ya do).

So Dome's not immortal but he is magical, Khatha was immortal via a curse. The series is Khatha getting over a past love (Chan) and moving to a new love without guilt (Dome) and no one can convince me otherwise.

We all need a season 2.

so I managed to get Ritsu today (!!!) and this time I actually recorded how many dia I spent + how much (free) BP I spent per day.

I did not pull on the event scout banner, which leaves me with a 0% bonus. I started with 121k dia, but, because achievements were finally added to EN two days in, I ended up with almost 140k lmao

okay backing up: day 1, I spent 5,000 dia and 59 naturally gained BP. the early dia rewards on the event ladder made it so I ended the day with 118k dia.

day 2, Makoto's birthday! so that's 350 free dia. Only Your Stars is a bday song and also happens to be my grind song (crying) so it worked out perfectly. leveled up this day so I spent 71 free BP and another 5,000 dia. ended the day with 115k dia.

day 3, Walk With Your Smile event starts -> 350 free dia + 100 weekly shared dia. spent only 40 free BP and no dia. but. this is when achievements were added and it gave me 23k dia lmaooooo (why didn't they add a claim all button...........) so the day ended with 139k dia.

days 4 and 5, spent 30 and 40 free BP and went just under 140k dia from Starry Lives.

day 6 (Leo's birthday -> 350 dia + WWYS bonus -> 350 dia), used 50 free BP and 600 dia were used for a little security as I got closer to 3.5 million points. screenshots of event ladders stopped just tens of thousands of points shy of getting the event card flashed through my mind and I didn't want to be one of them. ended with 140k!

day 7 (today!) - spent the last 20 free BP needed to get Ritsu yippee! spent 25 more free BP as it recovered and after all event song Starry Lives I'm at 3.6 million! ending today with 141k dia :]

I'm gonna be chilling on day 8 just using whatever BP recovers over the day and doing Starry Lives bc I'm still on that Arashi grind 🥴 and also saving for Underland Mitsuru and Shuffle Midori! (one copy of the latter two thankfully) but I got the boy and don't care about ranking (to the no 1 RitsuP. are you ok.)

so in total, I spent 10,600 dia.

due to me being over lv 100, level ups are a lot slower if you're not willing to go 1 BP per live. that said, I still leveled up 3 times over the course of this event, so that's 30 free BP!

using 1 BP is very dia efficient for those lower than lv 100 I feel, or for those with more time. if you're strapped for time, 10 BP obviously (I used double bonus like. twice) but you will level up less. 3 BP is the best middle ground if you've got a good lineup. I used 10 BP almost every time I grinded bc I'm just impatient lmao

I score 3.5 million (ha) points on Only Your Stars, and 3.2 million on Little Romance on Expert (can't PC it o|< whatever), so adjust your dia spending accordingly.

Here is the calculator I used to see how much I would need to spend

the dia calculator goes by JP server numbers, so add a zero to the end of your total. for example, it says you need 1234 dia, in EN you need 12,340 dia.

some things to note. the average dia count needed ranges between 6k to 12k dia depending on how strong your lineup is. if I spent only 1 BP per live, I likely would've saved 400-ish dia? if you're strapped for dia every bit counts. if you're only going for one (1) event card (tour cards even cost less dia if u want both), you do not need to pull for event bonus cards. that dia could be better used guaranteeing a 5 star instead of gambling on an off-rate. remember to craft the event work outfits - like I said, every bit counts. 250 pt vs 375 pt makes a difference.

make sure you try to get the event card well before the event ends! you don't want to end up like 1k points away from 3.5 mil!

Sleepover with the Freshmen (+ Ortho)

idk I just think it'd be cute to see all the freshmen + yuu and grim have a litol slumber party, a slumbie if you will (also fun(?) fact: I've never had a slumber party before so idk why I'm making this lolol)

Time at Night Raven College is fun: you get to do alchemy, learn about history and subjects that aren't from your world, and most important of all, you got to make cool new friends! However, being that NRC is a school, it does get pretty stressful. So to cope with all the work you have on top of the work that Crowley dumps onto you, you decide to host a sleepover with all of your friends from your grade!

NRC Prefect: Hey, are you guys busy this weekend?

xXAce42069Xx: nah not rly y?

DeuceCaboose: Didn't you say we were gonna study over the weekend???

xXAce42069Xx: eh we can study after class on a weekday lol

Jack H.: You wanna do anything over the weekend prefect?

Epel: I can ask Vil if I can come over if we're gonna do a group study

NRC Prefect: I was thinking more we can just have a slumber party or something...

Sebek Zigvolt: I propose that we instead focus on our studies instead of shirking them for a "slumber party".

Sebek Zigvolt: I haven't a clue what you mean, Ace.

DeuceCaboose: Have you ever been to a slumber party Sebek?

Sebek Zigvolt: No, but I vaguely know of them. That's not the point, though!

Epel: I've had a couple before. They're a whole buncha fun!

Jack H.: ^ Plus if we're hanging out over the whole weekend, we can also use this time to study too

DeuceCaboose: Well we need to study at some point yknow

NRC Prefect: Yeah, I like that idea!

Nrc Prefect: So, is Ace the only one against this?

DeuceCaboose: Yeah

Jack H.: Probably

Epel: Yup

Sebek Zigvolt: As long as we schedule time for our academics, I don't have much issue.

NRC Prefect: So Ace, are you with us or not?

xXAce42069Xx: fine... ig so

NRC Prefect: Great, see you guys then!

Ace Trappola:

He mainly came along so that he wouldn't have to study at Heartslabyul with Riddle

And also to spend time with his best friends but he'd never admit that

Cater lends him a couple card games so that you all can play during the sleepover

Other than that, he doesn't bring much else other than his pajamas, sleeping bag, phone, and homework (forced to bring)

His pajamas consist of a white t-shirt and some heart patterned pants

Doesn't wear socks to bed

Once everyone's in their pajamas, Ace immediately tries to distract everyone from their work

He tries to start a bunch of card games, asks for more snacks, and is the one to start a pillow fight

Once the next day comes though, everyone ignores him so they can get their work done, all to varying degrees of success

Is used to sleeping up late so he's the last person to go to bed

Sleeps all sprawled out, accidentally kicking Deuce, who's right next to him

Deuce Spade:

Deuce is genuinely excited for this little sleepover

Not only does he get to do the studying he was planning on doing anyways, but he also gets to hangout with his friends and potentially learn a bit from them!

Definitely honor student behavior

Trey asks him to give you some cookies for you all to share, as a treat

In comparison to Ace, Deuce over packs rather than under packing, likely since he's basically packing for the two of them

Deuce's pajamas are a set with a cotton shirt and shorts, both with spade patterns

Wears fuzzy navy blue socks his mom got him (won't say this in front of Ace in fear of being teased)

Deuce tries to balance his work time and fun time, but gets easily swept up in whatever shenanigans Ace is pulling

Accidentally throws a pillow too hard and ends up knocking a painting off the wall (in which he apologizes for after)

Like Ace, he's used to staying up late but tries to go to bed at a reasonable hour

Sleeps on his tummy and occasionally kicks too, mainly because Ace keeps kicking back

Jack Howl:

He's had a couple slumber parties in his youth and is honestly glad to have another with his new friends

Also wouldn't admit to it

Leona gives him some money just in case you all decide to order dinner for the sleepover

With the exception of the dinner money and some protein powder packets, he packs pretty light, only taking what he needs like toiletries and his homework

Jack wears a dark green tank top with a wolf design on the back and some striped shorts as pajamas

Also doesn't wear socks to bed but at least he covers his feet

Tries to get his work done before doing anything fun, which is hard considering he goes to bed really early

So instead he just spends the night having fun and promises to work extra hard the next day

Gets pretty sleepy from staying up past his bed time, being the first to go to sleep if it wasn't for Sebek

Sleeps curled up holding his tail and tries to hide it under his blanket

Epel Felmier:

Every month, Epel, Vil, and Rook have their own little spa day, so Epel just sees this as a less intense spa day (don't ask how a spa day can be intense they just are for Epel)

Vil gave him a couple scented tea lights to give out as thank you gifts for everyone while Rook gave a couple fashion magazines to read during the sleepover

In addition to these gifts, Epel, reluctantly, packs a lot more than he usually would due to all of the toiletries and nutrition supplements he has to take

Epel's pajamas are a light purple, fuzzy long sleeved set with has apples on the front of the shirt and on the pants pockets

Not only does Epel have matching fuzzy purple socks, he also has a fuzzy eye mask too, courtesy of Vil

More prone to playing and getting off task than some of the other boys

Has a lot of fun during the pillow fight even though he's just smacking people with a pillow

Stays up until all of the fun dies down and then tucks himself into bed

Sleeps on his side, occasionally tossing and turning

Ortho Shroud:

Given he's a robot, he thought he wouldn't be able to participate in the sleepover unlike his peers

Luckily, his friends still wanna have fun with him regardless and obviously let him come

Idia gave him a board game to play so that him and his friends don't get board (teehee)

Given that Ortho is incredibly complex, he has to pack pretty heavily for things such as his charger and any spart parts he may need

He can't really wear pajamas but has a dark blue blanket Idia made for him with small light blue flames

Probably sets aside his feet when sleeping so that they take up less space

Ortho is a good student, so he starts studying pretty quickly to get it out of the way

After that, he's able to play with his friends and launch pillows at them (gently of course)

Has a set bedtime that he has to shut down by, but since Idia stays up really late, that bedtime is also pretty late into the night

He sleeps straight on his back, using his wireless charger pad as a pillow and covering himself with his blanket

Sebek Zigvolt:

Sebek honestly isn't used to being apart from Malleus and gets embarrassingly anxious when he's apart from him and Lilia

However, the both of them encouraged him to socialize and spend time with people his age other than Silver

Malleus give him a novel to read before bed just in case he has trouble sleeping Lilia also gave him some food to share but Silver luckily took care of that

Given how overly cautious he is, Sebek over packs a lot, bringing a lot of comfort items as well as a lot more toiletries than he needs

Sebek wears very classic button up pajamas with a small lighting bolt pattern on them

Wears normal socks to bed and like Epel, has a matching eye mask with a little night cap too

The most reluctant to slack off, insisting to use this time to further their academic and magical studies

However, he gets jealous from all the fun everyone else is having and joins in under the excuse that he was already distracted

He won't admit it, but he really enjoys spending bonding time with his friends

Like Jack, he also has an early bedtime and sticks to it more than Jack does, mainly out of habit and sleepiness

He sleeps on his back holding his blanket while sleep talking surprisingly quietly

Bonus Grim!:

Didn't ask to be a part of the slumber party nor was he invited, but came anyways since the two of you are basically a buy one, get one free special

Since he's a cat monster, he doesn't wear any jammies but he does have a little blankie he sleeps with every night

You have to move him out of the living room so that everyone can get their fair share of snacks and dinner

Tries to get involved in the pillow fight but he has little fucking kitty arms so he can't really throw lol

Cuddles next to you with his blankie to sleep (which would be nice if he didn't snore so loud)

Wakes you up in the middle of the night for a sippy of water too
