(Images by Zlofsky) It makes SO much sense that Black Knights are fashioned after Maliketh, not Godfrey or Leyendell's Golden Knights or anything! They have the same style of gold decorating black and tufts on their helmets resembling white mane!

Conceptually, they fit! Maliketh is Marika's shadow, whose intent is to fight and kill for her in the darkness and which would be a thing to fear, not to honor and celebrate! Perhaps defeating a wholeass another Empyrean (Gloam-Eyed Queen) is not exactly something that gets "shoved in the shadows", but you see what I mean! Similarly to Maliketh, Black Knights do not exist to be displayed, honored and boasted about, but to do "dirty job" kind of murder!
