Journal Entry #48 (part one)
previously - Journal Entry #47 (part two)
Victor
It's Tuesday.
People tend to think Tuesday is the most uninteresting day of the week, 'cause nothing important ever seems to happen on Tuesdays. Well, that's not true for our household. Not today, at least. On this particular Tuesday, all hell broke loose around here.
Okay, to be more accurate, all hell started breaking loose yesterday afternoon, when Mr. Okamoto came back from the airport with not only his wife but also his brother-in-law. Nobody had any idea Uncle Kaz was coming, not even Mr. Okamoto, and needless to say we were all shocked when he strolled through the door, larger than life.
Julian had what I can only describe as a fanboy moment when Mr. Okamoto introduced him and Uncle Kaz. To his credit, though, he recovered his composure pretty quickly when he realized his celebrity man crush is really a regular guy and also just as much of a nerd as he is. Yuki, on the other hand, didn't calm down until it was almost time for bed. It was hard to say who she wanted to cling to more, her mother or her beloved uncle.
On a side note, at the suggestion of Uncle Kaz, Yuki has started addressing Julian as "Uncle Julian" instead of "Dr. Britt". He's tickled pink over it.
Anyway, in case you weren’t aware, Uncle Kaz brings the party with him wherever he goes. In the midst of all the madness, a boys' night somehow got planned for when things settle down, so Mr. Okamoto, Julian and Uncle Kaz can further their newfound three-way bromance. It was implied that Yuri and I are not invited, which is actually fine with me. I'm not sure either of us could handle it.
Yesterday evening was chaotic. I was grateful that I'd been able to excuse myself from it for a while and spend some time by myself, recording my journal entry. Usually, I don't mind lots of activity, but I'm still not feeling the best, and the constant noise and motion all around me were getting to be too much. The house is a little quieter tonight, by virtue of the fact that Mom, Julian and I are the only ones here, so I'm taking the opportunity to rest and tell you how things have been unfolding since yesterday.
The latest development, which I guess you may already know, is that I'm able to go up and down stairs now if someone helps me. Since stairs are back in my repertoire, I decided I'd spend last night with Yuri in his room so Uncle Kaz could take my spot in the dining room.
Uncle Kaz made jokes about not being able to sleep in his own bedroom in his own house — Yuri's room, as it happens — but his humour was good-natured and no one took it personally. I think he was happy to have his house so full. Meanwhile, Mrs. Okamoto claimed her spot in the laundry room with her husband and Yuki. I don't think this place was ever intended to accommodate eight people, but there we were.
I probably don't need to tell you that Yuri and I had a difficult night. He was in so much pain that no position was comfortable for him, and neither his parents nor I could do anything to ease his discomfort.
I managed to sleep a bit while his mother sat with him, but she woke me up when she was starting to fall asleep herself and said she needed to go to bed. Mr. Okamoto came in after that. He read to us, which I would've enjoyed if it hadn't been for the fact that I was too stressed to concentrate on it. I think he was reading out loud to distract himself more than to occupy us, but far be it from me to complain, in any case. The thought was still there, and that's what mattered.
Toward dawn, Yuri started throwing up, whether from the infection running wild inside him or simply from the amount of pain he was in, I didn’t know.
It was pretty traumatic, hovering uselessly by the bathroom door and hearing him cry for me between bouts of violent retching. There was nothing I wished for more in that moment than to have some magical power where I could hold him and make all his suffering go away. I wanted to be able to fix everything. Knowing I couldn't was like trying to rescue somebody I couldn't reach, just barely touching their hand and then having to watch them fall when I failed to hang on.
"Yuri, Victor's there in the doorway," Mr. Okamoto tried to assure him for about the fourth or fifth time. "There isn't room in here for all of us, but I promise he hasn't left you. He's right there."
Yuri's reply was practically unintelligible, but I made out my name and that he was scared. I couldn't tell what he was saying he was scared about, but in his condition, he certainly had plenty of reasons.
"It's gonna be all right, Yuri," I said, hoping I sounded convincing. "Your dad's taking care of you, and I'm not going anywhere. When you're all done in here, we can go back to bed, okay?"
"Okay," was the barely audible reply.
However, Yuri and I didn't end up back in bed together. He was so weak from pain and fever and the effort of his stomach forcibly emptying itself that he actually passed out in his father's arms.
I'm not ashamed to say I lost any sense of composure I might've had at that point. I'd already pretty much reached the threshold at which I stopped taking no for an answer, but that sealed it for me. Yuri was going to the hospital, whether he wanted to or not. I'd never seen him faint before, and if I'm being completely honest, I was terrified. There was no way we could cope with this at home any more.
Mr. Okamoto was in one hundred percent agreement with me about taking Yuri to the hospital. Like me, he'd been willing to let him stay home for a while, but the situation had escalated from serious to urgent, and nobody was interested in taking any more risks.
"We should call emergency services," I said. The way my voice was shaking might've embarrassed me under other circumstances, but just then I didn't really care what anyone might’ve thought of me.
Fortunately, Mr. Okamoto was the cool head we needed in the midst of our crisis. He addressed me in English, and it startled me enough to snap me out of my panic. "Victor, are you able to get dressed by yourself?"
"What?" I stammered.
I'll never get used to hearing my father-in-law speaking English. He sounds so unequivocally British that it's obvious he learned it in the UK, and it catches me by surprise every time. I don't know why it does, especially since Yuri's accent in English is that stereotypical posh British one too, but anyway... maybe it's because Mr. Okamoto doesn’t speak English to me very often, and in between times I sort of forget.
I took a breath and answered him before he had to repeat himself. "I, uh... I'm not sure if I can. Not completely. I might need some help."
"Very well," he said. "I'll help you. I'm not keen on waiting for emergency services take their time finding their way up the mountain. We'll take Yuri to the hospital ourselves. I'll drive."
"Okay," I said, because there was really no other answer.
"Could you go and wake Rei?" he asked, and then as if he thought I might not know who he meant, he amended, "Mrs. Okamoto. She can write a note for Kazuya and your parents. I don't think it's necessary to wake the entire household, do you?"
I thought about it, and concluded he was right. Mom and Julian would certainly want to know what was happening with Yuri, and I was sure Uncle Kaz would as well, but there was nothing they could do just then. It made sense to let them get as much sleep as possible. I could call my mom from the hospital later, once I was satisfied that Yuri was in safe hands and that he'd be all right.
"I'll be right back," I said.
"Be careful," said my father-in-law.
Mrs. Okamoto was already awake, as it turned out. She was sliding the laundry room door open before I even finished knocking. Despite having claimed she was exhausted, I assumed she hadn't gone back to sleep at all after Mr. Okamoto came to trade places with her in taking care of Yuri. I couldn't say I blamed her. She was probably too worried to sleep.
She asked me what was going on, and I quickly explained everything. I even awkwardly blurted out that Mr. Okamoto was going to help me with my clothes so that we could get going sooner.
"I'm already dressed. I'll help you, if you don't mind," she said. "Kenji will have his hands full enough."
Any other time, I would've said no, but this was not the moment to turn down well-intentioned assistance.
"That'd be good," I said. "Thank you. And would you mind writing a note for my mom, please? I don't want to get her out of bed, but I also don't want to just leave without telling her anything. I'd do it myself, but.. you know.”
"Of course," she replied. "I understand."
"Thanks."
We'd just turned to head back to Yuri's room when Mr. Okamoto emerged from the bathroom with Yuri in his arms. I caught the scent of Yuri's favourite strawberry soap. His father must've been trying to clean him up as best as possible, which I know from experience is not easy when the person you’re washing has absolutely no strength to participate in the task.
Even though I couldn't make out any details, I could tell Yuri was awake again. It looked like he was clutching his father's shirt. He was making small whimpering noises; not quite crying, but rather making the sound of someone who's too weak and exhausted to cry.
"I'm sorry, Papa," I heard him say. "I'm sorry."
I felt like my heart might shatter into a thousand pieces at that. The idea that Yuri thought he had to say he was sorry tore at me, and I wanted to tell him he had nothing to apologize for, especially not to his father. It wasn't his fault that he was sick. It wasn't anyone's fault, and he wasn't letting anyone down because of being unwell.
I had the irrational urge to yell at my father-in-law, This is what you've done to him! But of course I didn't. That would've been the worst possible thing.
I reminded myself that it was evident Mr. Okamoto was trying, and even though his current efforts were nowhere near enough to undo the years of emotional harm he'd caused, it was still progress. Maybe he was moving in the right direction to repair the damage he'd done, and if that was the case, I didn't want to be the one to break that fragile new thread between him and Yuri.
I wondered how Mr. Okamoto would respond, or if he'd even respond at all. I caught myself holding my breath. Forcing myself to exhale, I took a shaky step forward, my mother-in-law guiding me with her hand in the crook of my elbow.
What happened in the following seconds was unexpected and absolutely extraordinary.
Mr. Okamoto, who was still moving steadily toward Yuri's room, said quietly, "You have nothing to be sorry for."
"You… you shouldn't have to do this."
"You're my son," Mr. Okamoto said. "It's not about whether or not I have to. Do you remember what I promised you a long time ago?"
"No," Yuri admitted.
"I promised I'd always take care of you. That you'd always be my treasure. Even if you don't remember, I do."
"I… I'm sorry.” Yuri’s voice broke on the last syllable, and he made a sound that might’ve been a sob if it’d had any energy behind it.
"Shh… it’s all right, Yuri. Everything’s going to be all right.”
"It... it isn't. I promised myself... I wouldn't..."
The tail end of whatever Yuri was saying was mumbled, and they were passing through the bedroom doorway too, so I didn't understand it, Obviously his father did, though. Mrs. Okamoto and I had just reached the doorway ourselves when he said, "You're not a failure. Being who you are is all I ever expected from you."
"But, you don't like it," Yuri said miserably. "Who I am."
"I don't always agree with your choices, but that doesn't mean I don’t like who you are,” Mr. Okamoto said. “You haven’t failed at anything in my eyes. Even if you had, I wouldn't try to justify breaking my promise because of it.”
“But… you stopped loving me. I thought… Why…?”
As Mr. Okamoto carefully laid Yuri on the bed, he replied so softly that I wouldn’t have heard it if I’d been more than a couple meters away. "No, my treasure, I’ve never stopped loving you. I’m sorry if you believed I did. No matter what, I will never stop loving you.”

Thinks He Alone Has The Remedy For Everything
My son has been coughing for a few days. One night, he woke up coughing at about 3 am. We sleep in the same bed, so he immediately woke me up and I cared for him. I brought him some warm salty water to drink, to help break up his congestion. He didn't have a fever. We generally try to use natural things before we use a lot of drugs or over-the-counter products. After my son had a few swallows, I then had him lay in a very elevated position where he was resting against my body and I just began to comfort him, rubbing his back, and patting his back to also help break up the mucus in his chest. This seemed to soothe him. We eventually fell back to sleep together.
The same thing happened again the next night. Around 2 am, my son woke us up with his coughing. I got up again to get some warm, salty water for my son to drink, but this time when I got back to my bedroom, my husband was there. He had our son to get into various stretching postures and told him to hold the positions still without moving for some minutes before telling him to get into another position.
Now, I have been through this myself with my husband. Him trying to tell me what is wrong with me when I am congested, coughing, with sore lymph nodes on the side of my neck, and have a fever. In his mind, the problem is a 'pinched nerve'. That is where the congestion is coming from. According to him, if I relieve the pinched nerve by massaging it and holding various stretching positions for some time, then the congestion and cough will go away and I will be cured. His massages hurt. He is rough when he massages. The lymph nodes are already sore and swollen and he goes all in pressing and mashing on them. The positions he tells me to get into are uncomfortable and the length of time to stay perfectly still in a certain position is impractical. I have told him that lymph nodes being sore and swollen, along with a fever, indicate that the body is fighting an infection, either viral or bacterial. I said, it is not about a pinched nerve. The viral or bacterial infection of the body triggers the body's defense system and congestion is part of that. I may as well be talking to a wall when I try to explain anything that contradicts my husband's currently held opinion. Narcs can't see themselves being wrong. Anyway, his way of treating this type of thing hurts, adds pain to injury because you are already sore with body aches and things. And he will have you be in a position for what seems like forever.
So, he is there with our son. I was already apprehensive as I entered the room. How to get my son through it quickly or out of his treatment entirely without offending my husband? Once he gets offended, his judgement gets worse, he gets even more hurtful. So, I try to not say much as my voice alone triggers him. My son is starting to cry as he is continuing to cough. My husband starts yelling at our son because he is crying and protesting, asking how long he has to stay in a position. Our son is saying that he is tired. At one point, he looks at me sitting on the bed and seems as if he wants to come to me so we can do what we did the last time, drink something to soothe his cough, rest against my body as I pat and rub his back until he falls back to sleep. His father was not having it because he knows best. He is undeterred by anyone's discomfort. He expects our child to take it like a man. The more you resist, the more he insists that it be done his way and only his way. He was angry at my son for being disagreeable with his method of treatment. And this is not the first time for our son either.
I decided to speak up for our son. I said that his neck where his lymph nodes are may be sore and massaging it may really hurt him. He claimed that he had not massaged his neck at all. Even if that were true, I'm sure our son anticipated him roughly massaging sore areas of his body because that is how he has done in the past. His crying may have been out of fear of what he knew was coming.
My son tried to hold a few of his stretching poses but he continued to cough. I was getting upset watching a coughing, congested child crying and getting more congested because of it. He obviously did not feel well and it was early in the morning so it was understandable that he be tired. I mentioned my concerns to my husband. I told him he is too harsh and that he is a child who doesn't feel good who wants to be comforted. Empathy, compassion, gentleness are foreign concepts to my husband.
Unsurprisingly, my concerns meant absolutely nothing. I didn't find it helpful to cause him to cry and congest himself more or to add prolonged discomfort to his body. So, I decided to just maneuver our son to rest against my body again. I had given him some of the salty water to drink earlier. Now, resting against me and being comforted, he stopped crying and his cough began to decrease. My husband got up to leave the room without saying anything. I had the feeling that he was peeved because his method alone was not what calmed his coughing down to allow us to get back to sleep. I had left the bathroom light on and had asked my husband on his way out to turn off the light. He ignored me and walked out without turning the light off so I had to get up and do it myself.

I'm from a different dimension actually Chapter 6 Damian x reader
Professor X sat in his wheelchair glancing around the room he hums his eyes pouring over all that there was finally landing on Robin. He gives me a look gesturing over at him.
"He informed me about The Crows sir, apparently they have gone under the radar, they've killed three people and the system didn't go off. At first, I thought we still had time, I treated a wound he had it he had come in contact with one and fought it. You know like how Wolverine did, I treated the cut and it's gone, but I was sure they were still in the dream state. But he got injured saving those left how survived probably not far from here, but the fact we didn't even receive the ring can only mean...they've returned under complete control again."
Concern fills the face of professor X, he turns to Robin, who shifts uncomfortably by the entrance of my kitchen. "Who are you then?"
"Robin."
The professor nods not even turning from his spot, he looks over Robin as if completing an inspection.
"How much does this Robin Know Dreki, about you, and The Crows?"
"I told him about the Jal-sein, the old race before the collective mind sharing, and he knows about my box of scales." Professor sighs.
"How did you meet him."
"When he broke through my window last week, infected."
"You gave him some scales to purge poison."
"Yes sir."
"Very good," He moves back to his original spot in the middle of the room. "You have been permitted to stop them at all costs if you must. Your uncle will be here soon to help you kill whatever has brought them back, in the meantime try not to use the stones. We don't want to attract more trouble than what has already been done."
"You're allowing me to put my powers to use?"
"As long as you don't wear it out, vibranium is not easy to turn into clothing."
"What a minute!" Robin's voice carried out through the room. "Just what's going on?"
"Robin," Professor X starts. "your world is being invaded by the Crow so that you become one of the many planets they have drained of life. And to do it they need a vessel that can contain the leader of the Jal-sein, Hok'mor." Professor X looks at him, his use
"And?" Robin says his face remaining unreadable
"I was the vessel, I escaped, destroyed the flagship and the army they had." I shiver moving out from my room to the box still lying on the kitchen table. "They were after the life of my home, so then I became a weapon for my planet." I pull out a bag of coins from the box.
"And what do you intend to do now (Y/N), destroy them yourself." Robin stands in the entryway, professor X stands behind him.
"Yes," I turn to him a chakram and the bag of coins in hand. "so unless you know how to obliterate a bird in 15 seconds or less you need to forget this ever happened and never come back."
"So, why tell me any of this, why tell me about anything why expose yourself?"
"So you can tell your family and friends and hopefully, just maybe you can survive. Because knowing them keeps them out of your head, but too much knowing allows them to enter." I pick up Nightmare, he crawls up to my shoulder and I head out of the kitchen, Robin makes room for me but just barely. I open my closet and pull out the last thing I have, two letters one written in my mother's signature ink and the other in my own handwriting, I hold them out to the professor.
"You know there is nowhere left for me to run professor if I end out getting caught...I just want him to have this. In my letter, papers are containing the custody terms for my brother to Uncle. I just need you to grab them to complete the transfer." Professor X slowly takes the letters where they rematerialize on his side.
"Good-bye Dreki, I will see that these get to your Brother."
Professor fades out of the com, and it clicks turning off, I pick it off the floor and slip it into the pocket of my sweatpants. I pulled out the chakram ready to leave a mark on my hand, I only needed a little bit of blood to completely transform when Robin coughs gaining my attention. He leans against the wall to the left of me now glaring at my form, Nightmare growls at the boy from the corner of my eye I see his fangs getting slightly bigger.
"Are you making it a habit to ignore me while I'm here?"
"No, But I do need you to leave, you can't stay here anymore." I begin to push him out the door in the kitchen, he slaps my hands away confusion leaving his face replacing it's with anger. He open's his mouth and I put a magic orange circle on his head.
"You Robin son of batman, found this information interrogating one of the monsters. It spoke in a language that was foreign but somehow understood all of it. You have made no such connection to the girl Y/N M/N, you did not see a man from another dimension, you came back to thank her for her help you had some tea and you were just leaving." I flick my hand and the circle vanishes, his head lowers for a moment as the information in his head readjusts. He moves to the balcony edge turning to face me the scowl returned to his face.
"Thank you for the tea." he pulls out a grappling hook and leaves without another word. I sigh moving to the same device I used to contact the professor. Picking it up I hold it to my mouth.
"Find me the closest thing to a sorcerer supreme, name and whereabouts contact them when you get there."
I toss it back onto the floor and it roars to life to give me a purple image of the earth and orange magic circles to tracking and moving. I move to my couch and fall asleep waiting for this day to take me.

I wake the next day with the globe still searching for my request I sigh and get ready for work. I thank god that it's just the coffee shop below me, I work on the weekends mostly unless they need an extra member of staff then it's just me and the older lady and her husband. They both owned the building and the shop they helped me get the apartment set up and showed me how to work the coffee machines. I don't really drink coffee though after seeing what a raving maniac my dad became without it, also it was just so bitter no matter how much sugar I put into it. I partially blame my heightened scenes that came with my abilities, so I got free white hot chocolates and any extra flavors I wanted as long as I did my job and chatted with them for a while.
I asked them personally to stay away while I was sick, so they wouldn't be affected. When I get down the stairs Martha, the elderly lady beams thankful that I'm feeling better.
"I so glad you are doing well dear, I know the acidity in our rain makes you sick so Glenn and I got you this umbrella." She hands me a purple umbrella that still has a tag on it, it reads for sun and rain.
"You didn't have to do this Martha, I told you I'm not good with gifts, you already let me stay here on the government's program and gave me a job here, you and Glenn have already done so much." She pushes the umbrella farther into my chest.
"No you do so much for us, you work without complaint, you've also taken care of us and our granddaughter when she came over. When you were sick we were so worried about you so you going to take it or I can give you more gifts."
"Thank you very much."I smile brightly. She pats my shoulder and gestures to the counter to start the machines.
Once all the machines are started, the desserts are placed and the base coffees are made I open shop. Customers come in and some lounge around in the chairs or couches drinking coffees and either studying or chatting with their friends. Molly usually comes on Sunday as one of our regulars, so I would see her then. A few of our regulars are happy to see I'm back at work one of the other tenants gave me a green bean casserole and a hug. It's 5 O'clock and I make a cappuccino as I finish I hear the door open and the bell ring on the counter.
The black-haired blue-eyed male I had gotten to know as detective Richard Grayson, came in every other day at 5, he normally talks often while I tried to take his order. So I memorized what he usually gets so he doesn't block the register so I can still make the register.
"Hey Y/N I'll take the usual."
"I thought so," I hand him his drink " one cappuccino."
He takes his coffee and moves to the bar we have set up if you wanted to watch the process and it's only then I see the other people behind him, one pissed-off looking male with a cigarette in his mouth, Tim Drake, and Damian Wayne. I look back to Richard he smiles at me leaning onto the bar.
"They came with me this time, It's family bonding time."
"You mean you dragged us out of the house to grab a coffee from this place cause you have a schedule."
"It's bonding Jason! Bonding!"
The two began arguing in the shop, I return my attention to the other two boys. Tim as at the counter puts a ten-dollar bill on the counter, while Damian does the same.
"Give me a regular coffee, black, large cup."
"Tea, no sugar, regular size."
Their voices crowed each other but since this happens frequently it was easy enough to at least get their orders down.
"Sure here's your change." I look back to the two arguing and I see Jason didn't put out his cigarette. He taps it and the ash of his drug falls to the floor.
Sighing I move out of the workspace gabbing a tong and a wastebasket, I take out the cigarette and throw it in the bin now gaining the full attention of Jason. I give him a stern look he seemed to freeze, bitting back any words he might have prepared to say before.
"Sir, I am not sure if I made we've previously made It but there is a strict no smoking policy. As you see we have many elderly, and young children in our establishment." I smile but I know my face is full of malice. "But please enjoy your stay at our cozy corner of our fine and fair city." I move back behind the counter start on some of my orders, I look at Jason again the smile still on my face.
"Would you like anything?" He gives me an odd look.
"White hot chocolate, Large," he nods his head over at Richard. "Put it on his tab."
"We don't have a tabs sir, he works for the police."
"So?"
"He gets Free coffee." He gawks at me as if I told him the sky was black, and I see Richard trying to contain his laughter.
"You give that guy free coffee?"
"It's a store policy." I pass out the coffee and the tea and I see from the corner of my eye he pulls out a flask. I grab the tongs again and clap them together, Jason looks at me then grumbles putting the flask back in his jacket, and instead pulls out a five and hands it to me. I take it from him gingerly and head straight to work on his order. I hand him both his spare change and his drink, and the complimentary cookie bag that came with it. He gives me another look.
"They come with a drink." I leave and continued my chores around the shop.
"You are doing much better (m/n)." I whip my head around and look at Damian who's behind me on the other side of the counter. His companions seemed to be in deep conversation amongst themselves.
"Yes, I'm doing just fine, it happens occasionally but nothing like a good cup of tea and a few nights rest couldn't fix." I go back to cleaning the counter.
"You were sick for much longer than that."
"Yeah...it happens." I change the topic to "Did you think of anything for the project?"
"Why not make a model, there is not really much to do with it anyway." I gasp dramatically.
"Not much to do with an astrolabe! You clearly didn't read the whole paper!" By now I have caught the attention of his group. Damian frowns.
"No, your paper was written very well, I just don't think we need to dwell too much on this project seeing as how we really are not presenting." I had heard that bit from Molly.
"I suppose your right." I put away the cleaning supplies and turn back to him. "I'll get started on a model right away!"
"You will do no such thing." His voice is stern. "I will come back later and work on it with you," He moves his chair back and heads out the door.
His companions follow quickly after him and they say their goodbyes.
[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]
As promised, he came a few hours later right as my shift ended and another person came for the second half of the day. I moved the glowing tracker to my room so it wouldn't gather any extra attention.
"I have supplies, what is all of that?" my brows furrow staring at the bulging plastic bag in his hand while I turn the keys in my locks. opening the door.
"I wasn't sure if you were prepared." He moves to the door, my arm shoots in his way stopping him.
"I wouldn't go in quite yet."
"What?"
I put a finger to my lips and crouch slowly to the floor, I shake the key in my hand then slid them across the floor. A ball of black attacks the object just as it crosses the doorway. Nightmare attacks the keys rolling around and bitting.
"Ah yes, observe the feral kitten in his natural habitat." I walk inside the door beckoning Damian to follow. "I would beware he is an ankle bitter. You can set up in the living room I'll just drop this guy off in my room."
"Does he attack all the time?"
"He's been like that since I picked him up, I don't blame him he was born in a rough neighborhood." I set Nightmare on the bed next to the floating version of earth. "Watch it make sure it finishes." then head to the living room. Damian has all his stuff set out on the table. There was veneer, paper, paint, some nails, an Exacto knife, a hammer, and a bag of pipe cleaners.
"This looks like stuff to make a birdhouse," I try and pick up some of the wood that was on the table." you realize cardboard, scissors, and a sharpie would have been enough."
"And here I thought you like polished and neat projects."
"yeah, but even with cheap materials you can still create a masterpiece."
"You don't do anything nice for yourself self do you?"
"Dude the most expensive thing I own is a cat who attacks me." I sigh, I sketch out a design for the astrolabe. "Well, why don't you start on the Mater, I'll get to work on the plate for our side of America."
[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]
"3 hours of hard work and I got to say it's not bad." I hold the fished product, It's attached to a string of green yarn. "The calculations are down to point." I put it down, I clean up the mess that's on the floor of the living room.
"About the last time we saw each other, I'm sorry."
"It's fine, you probably knew about me from the news already, the big myste#wayne#scifi#damian#bruce#bats#fanfiction#xreader#characterxreader#jason todd#tim drake#character x reader#mxf#fxm#batboys#batboys x reader#Damianxreader#X reader#DC#Marvel#MarvelxReader#DCxreader#batfam#mutants#Damian Wayne x reader ry of the missing journals. So many interviews." I dump the trash in the kitchen, saying that last part mostly to my self.
"You forgive too easily."
"I'm not as forgiving as you think, honestly you view me too highly it that's what you believe. Would you like something before you leave?"
"No, but I have something for you before I go." I open the door to my room and let Nightmare out.
"Oh?" He's already at the door and pulls a shiny gold card from his pocket, he hands it to me.
"Father thought it would be good to meet you."
"Because I'm the daughter of a famous dead professor, is he going to ask about the journals too?"
"No, this is to apologize for my previous behavior."
"Oh," I take the card looking at it uneasily. "I don't think I can go to this, I don't do well at parties."
"Not a very good excuse." He smirks.
"I'll think about it." I push him out the door and give him the Astrolabe, closing the door slowly. " I'll see you at school."
I look at the card again, It's like the parties mom went to I knew them well. While some were nice, others were nice only in their face. I laugh slightly to myself, Molly already called me earlier telling me I was her plus one to the same thing. This was already suspicious enough as it is. I look at Nightmare who cocks his head at me.
"You think I should go, don't you?" the furball nods
"Fine. I was going to be forced into this anyway."

Not just a Monster
Warning: drinking
19: Another Infected
Ji-Soo laid on the recovery table fast asleep. She was still kinda pale but that will soon go away once she starts healing. The group managed to find antibiotics if she got an infection.
I would have given her some of my stuff but it burned up in the car explosion. I've been in here for a while, making sure nothing went wrong. Watching to see if her side was turning red, or started to swell.
It could get infected easily and-spread throughout her body if not watched or treated carefully. Soon Jae-Heon came in, I smiled. He was pretty badass for a man that worships God and is also a great swordsman.
( please note that this is not meant to offend anybody, my religion is Christianity )
He took a seat, laying down some white candles he brought with him. checking over Ji-Soo. I could tell something was going on between them but neither announced it yet. I guess in a world like this it was hard to.
" What are the candles for?" I questioned but waited as he lit them with a lighter. Clasping his hands together he bowed his head and began to Pray. Watching him, I haven't prayed in a long time.
I use to think what was the point, thinking it wouldn't do any good since I did a terrible sin. But seeing how Jae-Heon is still keeping his faith even after killing monsters it was the same difference.
Killing is killing.
If I ask for forgiveness will it help? will I finally stop feeling guilty and move on? Will I be able to forgive myself? I wish I knew what to do I was uncertain. But I closed my eyes and bowed my head.
Dear lord
I know I shouldn't be asking for your forgiveness... but please lift me of the sin I committed and if possible I could somehow forgive myself someday and in hopes, they can too. let my family Rest In Peace.
I finished reopening my eyes, I jumped a little realizing Jae-Heon was watching me. " God will forgive you Soo-Nico for whatever you've done." He reassured me, I felt my heart was weighing heavy.
I had to ask since he's was the only one that I could talk about religion. " how are you so sure?" Was he going to forgive me? For something as terrible as that? Jae-Heon had a knowing look on his face. " Because he's a merciful God,"
With that answer, I nodded, " I don't mean to pry but what were you praying about." I wanted to ask, I probably seem nosy. I saw him glance at Ji-Soo," for someone to live a long, healthy, happy life."
Now it was my turn to give some words of encouragement. " They will," it was short and simple but effective. Jae-Heon patted my shoulder. " you're a good kid, I'll watch over her. you should go eat something to build up your strength,"
he informed, me I had to laugh, now that he mentioned it I was pretty hungry. Rubbing my stomach I got up, bowing. Leaving the room, heading to go get something to eat.
His words somehow made me feel better. They were having dinner in the day-care-center walking in I had grabbed my plate sitting down beside Hye-in. I guess it was better to eat with people than being alone.
She was happily eating, away I noticed she had a white face mask on. She looked like a puffy marshmallow, it seems like they have all washed up. I needed a wash. Taking my spoon, I scooped some rice and took a bite.
" Ms. Cha, " Hye-In spoke up getting the woman's Attention, She had looked up. " I thought that you were tan but you're just really dirty." Hye-In laughed, I raised an eyebrow.
" Thanks.." Ms. Cha stared at her I couldn't believe she just said that. " I'm saying you look good now." what she didn't look better before?
" I got these masks in the mail. Want one?" Hye-in offered to pulling up her shirt, revealing a couple of packs of face masks. Well, that's one way to hide them.
" No, thanks. I know That I look pretty without it." This earned all kinds of laughs around the room. " wait, Seung-Wan needs it." Byeong-ll point making Seung-Wan clap back defensively.
I have I admit it was pretty funny, as we chatted, Sun-Young walked up to our table she seemed nervous. I wondered what about it? " I should go outside." Before I could take another bite I stopped looking up at her. What for?
" I think I'm starting to have symptoms." that's when all the attention turned towards her. It was quiet, " I should've told you sooner." Sun-Young had a long face as if she was disappointed for not telling. " I guess I didn't want to believe it. I'm sorry."
No one can blame you it's scary finding out your showing symptoms it's like your life just has been ripped away. It's hard to accept. " I just don't want to put everyone in danger. So I should go before it's too late—"
Ms. Cha, interrupted Sun-Young, " still you shouldn't go outside." She dismissed. " she right. You're still human, you'll die if you go outside." Hye-In agreed. But Jay-Hwan thought otherwise.
" –We can't let her stay here?" I rolled my eyes, " why don't you shut up!" I fussed that's when Eun-Hyuk Entered the room. " why don't we all hold a vote?" Byeong-ll suggested a worried look was plastered on his face.
Then he all turned to us, " just vote how you feel, because this is like... taking part in a murder." I remembered those words, the day Eun-Hyuk guilt trip, everybody, to so they could vote for Hyun-Su to stay for selfish reasons.
But that was over and done with now, " I vote she gets to stay in the arcade." He raised his hand, I did also Even Seung-wan, " Me, too. Maybe she'll be able to hold out as Hyun-Su did?"
After that everyone raised their hands. I was Surprised when Eun-Hyuk's hand was raised, he has changed, well a lot of them have. It looked like Sun-Young was about to cry.
Soon everyone said their goodbyes, I felt bad she was going to be locked up. But it's what she wanted to keep everyone safe it's better than being outside.
At least they won't discriminate against her as they did to Hyun-Su and now be there for her. Things were changing for better than worse. Hopefully, it stayed that way.
After finishing my food, everybody was in a gloomy mood. They moved around sitting in different seats. " I could definitely use a drink on a day like this," Byeong-ll grumbled moving his pointer fingers around a small candle that was lit.
" There you go again."
I didn't mine alcohol, but it sounds good right about now. Jay-Hwan told putting in one earbud," well, do you think Sun-Young will hold out like Hyun-Su?" Seung-Wan rethought his words he said earlier.
" I hope so. I thought it was just her husband, but her whole life is awful." Hue-in announced, yeah I remember Suk-Hyun.
" lady you're face is Awful." Eun-Yoo sneered, I had to smirk, shaking my head. " well I think Byeong-all it right. We could definitely use a drink today."
Ms. Cha agreed I hadn't noticed she left, she was carrying a glass cylinder it was a beautiful dark red juice with raspberry in it.
Setting it down on the table unwrapping the top taking off the plastic wrap. " What is this Korean wine? Please tell me it is." Byeong-ll pleaded.
Everyone began to turn their heads to see. Gil-Seob sat up smelling the wine, " it's at least four years old." He looked up at Ms. cha and she nodded. He smelled it again as Eun-Yoo and I came over sitting beside each other.
" it could be as good as Medicine." I smiled, taking a glance at Eun-Yoo we were both too young but I already had some wine before but it wasn't that great but I was willing to give it another try.
Eun-Yoo Leander forward smelling it, " Yu-ri left early by the way." She informed him, she then moved pushing the Cylinder to me. " go on," she smiled I did to smelling it. God that smelled so sweet, my mouth watered.
" shall we finish this off before Eun-Hyuk comes?" She suggested, talking about her brother. Gil-Seob stuck his pinky in the jar getting a taste. We all began to laugh.
But stopped seeing Eun-Hyuk, he had a straight face, considering he was the leader he made the choices around here shit. " speak of the devil." Gil-Seob mumbled.
I was for sure he wouldn't let us drink, but to my shock he did. " just don't forget your duties." Eun-Hyuk then left, turning back around we quickly Gil-Seob began pouring the wine into small cups.
He handed them out giving me and Eun-Yoo one. I gladly Excepted it before I could take a sip Eun-Yoo nudged me. " hey, I saw you and Hyun-Su almost kiss." She whispered in my ear. My eyes went wide, feeling my whole body go stiff.
WHAT!?
I took a sip avoiding her stare, wow this was good and sweet, " don't be embarrassed you guys are cute together might as well hook up before you know what happens." She hinted, smirking at me.
I took another sip, gulping it down. Is this girl talk? From an actual friend? I wanted to be together with him and I confessed in way that was out of my comfort zone.
" Thanks... And yeah, what is better than two Infected's getting together in a world where anything and everything could go wrong." I said lowly enough just for her to hear.
She Seconded that. " his lips were this close!" I wined, showing her pinching my thumb and pointer finger together symbolizing how close were to kissing. I could feel my cheeks heat up, was I getting drunk I only took a few sips I must be lightweight.
I leaned my head on her shoulder kinda upset, she brought her hand up patting my head. " don't worry you'll get your chance, and you'll be the one to do it." She added.
I thought it over, " Me? why me?" My eyes glanced up. She huffed, " because Hyun-Su is too nervous, plus you made the first move he still wouldn't have done it if you didn't say anything." Eun-Yoo finished her cup like me.
I think that is enough Wine for today. I sat my cup down, feeling all fuzzy. Thinking about Hyun-Su's lips they were chapped and dry but it didn't matter I kiss them either way.
I then heard Eun-Yoo laugh loudly. Did I say that out loud? " you did!" She confirmed I was embarrassed hiding my face in my hands. Only me.
"All Alright!" Gil-Seob clubbed his hands together, " who's in for a story?" He recommended, " aren't we too old for stories?" Eun-Yoo stated, he only smiled. " not this one." is all he said
Taking a seat where everyone slept. We followed I laid my head on a pillow. " it was a very dark night with no moon. I lay down between the corpses and pretend to be dead, but u were watching them carefully." so this was a scary, story the Irony huh?
" the remnants of the people's army went inside the building, and the allied forces that were after them fired hundreds of shots at the building." He took the weird stick Jay-Hwan was holding and reenacted the gun fire-making Pow sounds.
He was on his knees saying it loudly but he suddenly stopped. " Hey, I know I saw them go into the building with my own two eyes," he said as if he was so sure. " they all went into the building but nobody came out of the building." I was interested now raising.
" and there were no dead bodies found. How baffling that building." He sucked in a breath looking around as if remembering something. It seems like everyone was on the edge of their seats. " Was here." Everyone gasped, raising hearing this.
" then?" Jay-Hwan gulped, " we have no idea what's buried underneath where we are. That's what I mean."
He Motioned towards the ground, " -what? -jeez." Someone asked not to believe this scared, I mentally laughed the only thing scarier than that is me in this room.
They had no idea, well except Eun-Yoo but then there was a loud bang since everyone was tense they all screamed. An unfamiliar man came running into the room wearing a black soldier suit." He came towards us seeing the jar of raspberry's sticking his hands in it eating them.
We all scooted back, Gil-Seob held up the stick ready to attack if needed. But Yi-kyeong strode in. " who are you, someone yelled. " I think he's a runaway soldier." He continued to eat, as the raspberry juice dripped on the table.
He then looked at his stained red hands, he kept mumbling something I think it was run? But from what? " quickly!" He freaked out then started shaking falling to the floor. What the hell?
Yi-kyeong grabbed onto his collar as the boys got up to help her. They dragged him away. " well that was unexpected." Hye-In blurred out. The girls nodded.
Seeing there was no reason to stay anymore, I got up and left before any more surprises popped up. I said my byes to Eun-Yoo, I figured I should search around for Hyun-Su.

Chapter 21.) Fractured.
Naia was rushed to the ER by Roman after being accidentally shot with a tranquilizer by Trent. But as Roman brought her to the ER something was wrong. She was exhibiting signs of a severe allergic reaction. But Roman didn't know what was causing it. He was thankful that Layla’s mother Joanna worked at the hospital. She would tell him what was wrong with Naia. But first, he had to deal with Trent and his crew being there.
It took all of the hospital security team and sheriff's department to separate Roman and the werewolves from Trent and his team. And that was before her parents showed up at the hospital and her mother raised hell with the staff about not wanting either of them there. As everyone waited in separate waiting areas, the tension and the air was thick. Rage, pain, shock, fear, and anxiety all mingled as each waited for news.
Roman and Trent kept their eyes on the hall. While Naia’s father had his eyes trained on the nurse's station. Laurie had her head resting on her husband’s shoulder with her eyes closed while holding on to her husband's hand. She was furious but more so she was terrified. Her daughter was in trouble and she didn't know how to help her.
The minutes felt like hours as they all waited for news of Naia’s condition. Laurie couldn't feel her daughter, no matter how hard she tried to tap into the bond they share. Finally, a doctor came down the hall with a chart in their hands. When Laurie looked up she and the doctor both recognized each other.
“You have got to be kidding me!”
“Well hello to you too Joey.”
“What are you doing at home after all these years?”
“A.) this isn't home. And B.) apparently my daughter was brought in by The Alpha.”
Joey shook her head.
“Well, this explains why I thought she looked familiar.”
“Whatever! Just tell me that you have news.”
“Well it’s good to see that you haven't changed one bit after all this time.”
“Joey…”
“It's Dr. Simpson, thank you.”
Laurie exhaled slowly.
“I do have news. But you’re not going to like what I have to say.”
“What is it?”
Dr. Simpson glanced over to where Roman and Trent were sitting. Shane rolled his eyes.
“Forget him! Tell me what is wrong with her.”
“It's best if we talk over here.”
She led Laurie and Shane to a corner of the waiting room out of earshot of everyone else.
“Her test results came back positive for a high-powered tranquilizer and…” she trailed off. It started to scare Laurie.
“What Joey? What else?”
The doctor sighed heavily.
“Wolfbane.”
Laurie and her husband both went pale.
“What did you just say?”
“You two heard me. When The Alpha brought her in, the Wolfbane had already begun to take effect.”
Laurie shook her head in disbelief. Shane stood there wide-eyed with his hand over his mouth.
“Because of the Wolfbane in her blood, your daughter went into anaphylactic shock.”
“Oh my God! Please don't tell me that my daughter is…”
“She’s alive. We had to put her under to save her life.”
“No. It can't be.”
“I am so sorry Laurie. But it is. And as you well know there is no cure for Wolfbane.”
“Not again…this can’t be happening.”
Laurie started shaking.
“I know more that this isn’t the news you wanted to hear. But the blood work isn’t lying.”
Shane steadied his wife before he spoke.
“Can we see her?”
“Yes. She’s just down the hall to the right. Room D17.”
Laurie ran past Trent and Roman with Shane not too far behind. When she got to the window outside of Naia’s room Laurie felt like she couldn't breathe. She felt like she was looking into a mirror at herself. Every painful memory of Hunt’s Peak that she ever had come flooding back. When they took just a few steps into Naia’s room, Laurie’s knees gave out on her, causing her to fall at the foot of the bed. Seeing her daughter like this made her inconsolably hysterical. And all her husband could do was try to help her up.
Shane was able to get her to the chair next to the bed. When she looked at Naia all she saw was herself those many years ago.
“This wasn't supposed to happen! Not to her!” she said as she cried.
“I know, baby.”
“My baby…my poor baby. I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!”
“Laurie, please! It's not your fault.”
She heard him but she didn't care.
“You don't understand! This is my fault! I didn't protect her! I-I-I-I failed her…”
“Baby…”
“Naia please…wake up! You have to wake up!”
Shane knew she didn't mean it but she couldn't help but blame herself.
Meanwhile, Zane had shown up at the hospital. When he got to the front desk he ran into Dr. Simpson.
“Joey I got your call. What is it?”
She glared at him.
“Don’t you Joey me!”
“What? What did I do?”
“Why didn’t you tell me that your sister was home?!”
“Because it’s a small town and you two were bound to run into each other at some point?”
That’s when she punched him in the arm.
“OW! Geez! What was that for?”
“Zane!” she warned him.
“Look I’m sorry! She and her husband showed up a few weeks ago looking for my niece.”
“That’s another thing you failed to tell me about!”
“Now what?!”
“You didn’t tell me she had a daughter either!”
“Yeah well, you’ve been busy! And so have I!”
Joey rolled her eyes at him.
“Where is Laurie? Is she okay?”
“She’s fine. Physically anyway. It’s your niece you need to be concerned about.”
Zane gave her a look that was half concerned and half confused.
“What do you mean?”
Joey took a deep breath before leading him out of earshot of everyone in the waiting areas.
“Your niece is suffering from Wolfbane poisoning. And it’s just as bad if worse than Laurie’s all those years ago.”
“That’s impossible Joey. Wolfbane was banned before Xander died.”
“You know that. I know that. And yet…”
Zane glanced over to where Roman and Trent were sitting.
“Well, that explains why they’re here.”
“Yes. The Alpha brought her in. And the Hunter…he’s the one who shot her.”
“He shot her?!”
“It was by accident. He was aiming for the Alpha when she stepped in and took the tranquilizer dart instead.”
Zane exhaled slowly.
“Does my sister know?”
“Not yet. She knows that your niece has been infected but she doesn’t know how she was infected. She and her husband are in there with your niece now.”
“It won’t take her long to figure it out. There’s only one way to be infected by Wolfbane.”
“Yes. I’m well aware. I just can’t believe this happened twice. No one here at the labs would do this.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure. I run the ER. I know for a fact that the higher-ups are terrified of The Alpha. They think he’s just like Xander.”
Zane looked at Joanna and coughed awkwardly into his hand.
“Just so you know I haven't told her anything.”
“So you didn't tell her you’re gonna be a grandfather?”
“No, I didn't tell her. Squirt would lose her shit if she found out you and I had a kid together. So we're gonna keep it that way. And if she asks you…Peabody is Layla’s father.”
“Fine. Now go check on them. They need you.”
Zane shook his head sadly.
“You wanna tell her that?”
“What do you mean?”
“She's selling the house.”
“What?!”
“I've been staying at Toby’s for the last few weeks.”
“Why didn't you say something?”
“Because you would've asked a million and one questions that I didn't have answers to.”
Joey sighed.
“Still you could've said something to me!”
“Look, Naia called and said she was coming to town and didn't want her mother to know. And I knew if I told you…there was a slight possibility that you would've told Laurie.”
“And yet here we are.”
“Yup. Laurie showed up and all hell nearly broke loose.”
“What do you mean?”
“Squirt went toe to toe with The Alpha.”
Joey’s eyes went wide.
“Just like she did with his father.”
“She's gonna get herself killed one day.”
“I know.”
Zane looked over at Roman.
“Does he know about Naia?”
“No. Not yet. I’ll tell him. ”
“Okay. I'm gonna go check on them.”
“Good. They're down the hall to the right. Room D17.”
“Thank you Joey.”
As Zane went to walk past the waiting area, Roman caught his wrist. Zane swallowed hard before turning to face Roman.
“Do you know what's wrong?”
Before Zane could answer, Dr. Simpson spoke up.
“Come with me Alpha.”
Roman cocked an eyebrow at Zane before quietly following the doctor away from him.
When Zane got to the room Naia was in he stopped outside the door. He looked through the window and saw his sister huddled over Naia. It broke his heart to see her so distraught. It reminded him of the night she was here years ago. And that he didn't listen to her, that he didn't believe her then. He quietly opened the door and stepped inside. When he walked in, Laurie looked up at him.
“What are you doing here?”
“Joey called. She said you were here and I thought—”
He trailed off when he looked at Naia.
“You thought what? That I was here in a bed again just like I was all those years ago?”
“I—”
That's when Shane cut him off.
“Well, you’re here. Are you happy?”
“I didn't know Naia was here until I got here and got punched in the arm.”
“Sounds like Joey.”
“She told me that—”
“It was Wolfbane poisoning?”
“Yes. I just can't believe that it happened again.”
Laurie scoffed and Zane looked down at the floor.
“The Alpha is out in the waiting area. So is Trent. I don't think they know.”
“They were here when we got here.”
That's when they heard shouting between both sides coming from up the hall. And Laurie had heard enough.
Something inside her snapped.
It felt like a dam had broken within her when she stood up.
“You two stay here.”
“Where are you going?”
“There's something that I have to take care of.”
Zane and Shane shared a worried look as Laurie stormed out of the room. When she got towards the end of the hall, the shouting and accusations between Trent and Roman grew louder.
“This is your fault!”
“Don't blame me!”
“Fine! How about I rip your head off? Would you like that?”
Trent scoffed.
“I’d love to see you try Balto.”
They stopped arguing when Laurie turned the corner.
“Oh please don’t stop bickering on my account.”
The look on her face was a mix of rage and pain. She glared at them both with her arms crossed.
“It shouldn’t surprise me that you two are at each other’s throats. Because in all honesty you idiots are the reason why my daughter is currently fighting for her life!”
“What?!”
“Let me summarize: Naia is in a coma, because of Wolfbane.”
Roman and Trent looked at each other then looked at her.
“What is that?”
“I’m glad you asked Alpha. If you must know, Wolfbane is a poison that your father had created.”
Roman looked at her incredulously.
“Did I mention that he created it with Bernard Sayre?”
Both men were stunned.
“Judging by the looks that you both have, I assume that neither of you know what I’m talking about. So here’s a little project for you: why would Xander and Bernard Sayre work together on anything?”
“Impossible!”
“Far be it from me to agree with the mutt but he’s right.”
Laurie issued one last declaration to them.
“One more thing, as of right now both of you will NOT step foot into this hospital!”
She then turned on her heel walking down the hall. Leaving them in shock.

Rule The World with Me-
Ivar the Boneless × Reader
Chapter Thirty-Five is here...
Chapter Thirty-Six: Day One Before Battle
Word Count 1.3k
Warnings: smut, cuss words
_____________________________________
You toss and turn all night long. Your thoughts would not allow you to rest, would not allow you to sleep. Ivar couldn't either, he just held you close and played with your red hair until you finally just passed out from exhaustion. When you awake, Ivar is holding Baldur in his arms and smiling.
"Good morning boys."
Ivar "Morning kitten. Baldur was fussing so I grabbed him."
"Does he need to eat?"
Ivar "No, I don't think so. I think he just wanted affection."
"Mmkay." You roll completely over and wrap your arms around your husband's bicep. You and Ivar just take in this wonderful moment where it is just you two with your beautiful child. You notice how his face lights up when his father makes cooing noises. How big his beautiful blue-green eyes are and how he has your smile. Everything about your son is perfect to you and Ivar. He is truly your blessing.
Ivar "I'm going to put him down, he is sleepy now."
"Time for your nap already?"
Ivar "mhm. Your father needs to give your mother attention too." You smile but your body immediately gets warm. The thought of what he might be talking about makes you ache for the need of affection. After he puts Baldur down for his nap in his bassinet, Hvitserk comes into the room.
Hvitserk "Hey, uhh sorry but...can I talk to you Ivar."
Ivar "Can it wait, Y/n and I wer-"
Hvitserk "No. I am sorry but it can't wait."
"Go ahead. See what he wants, I'll be here when you come back." He pecks your lips and then gets out of bed.
…
Ivar "What is it?"
Hvitserk "A vision Ivar."
Ivar "Good or bad?"
Hvitserk "Very good, brother. Very good."
Ivar "Okay so why couldn't the news wait huh?"
Hvitserk "Because not all of it is good."
Ivar "Care to elaborate?"
Hvitserk "We kill her Ivar. We kill Lagertha! But she wounds Y/n."
Ivar "How bad is the wound."
Hvitserk "Pretty bad. The vision didn't show if she lives after it or not."
Ivar "Where is the wound?"
Hvitserk "Her side. I can see her holding her right side in the vision. Then I look over at Messiah gnawing at Lagertha's throat while you hold her down."
Ivar "And then?"
Hvitserk "It ends."
Ivar "So what does all of that mean?"
Hvitserk "We can't let her wound Y/n. If she doesn't, then everything should be fine and end in our favor."
Ivar takes a deep breath and looks down at the floor. The vision could have been worse but wounds can get infected or you can die from the severity of the cut. He just has to make sure that you don't get hurt during this battle.
Ivar "Very well. Thank you for telling me, Hvitserk."
Hvitserk "I won't let her get wounded, Ivar. I just wanted to tell you because it involves your wife."
Ivar "I know. Are you sure that there is nothing else that you need to tell me."
Hvitserk "No. Go ahead and join your wife. I'll spend some time with Ubbe and Torvi while you two have your fun." Ivar nods and chuckles while opening up the door to your chambers.
"What did he want?"
Ivar "Don't worry about it, kitten."
"Just tell me..please." Ivar crutches his way over to you and sits down.
Ivar "He had a vision. It was a very good vision because we won Y/n! We won the battle."
"That is wonderful news!" But his face drops right after he told you that you all won. "Ivar?"
Ivar "You get wounded."
"How bad?"
Ivar "H-He doesn't know. He just sees you holding your right side and you are bleeding. He doesn't know anything else."
"Well not knowing could be a good thing. If I would have died, surely Hvitserk would have seen that in his vision."
Ivar "Perhaps you are right but it still makes me very uneasy."
"Me too but I am not changing my mind. I want to fight by my brother's side and by my husband's side."
Ivar "Y/n-"
"Ivar. Have faith in me, please. I am strong, you know that. I will come home to you, my love."
Ivar "Alright, my sweet."
"Can we enjoy the rest of our day, my king?" You know that he loves hearing you call him that. It is one of his weaknesses that will always make him want you even more.
Ivar "Oh we definitely will, kitten." He grabs your face and pulls your lips to his and aggressively kisses you. You moan at how hard yet gentle he is with you. You love the way he makes you feel. "You know what to do now, princess. Be a good girl for your king." You help him undress you and lay on your back. As soon he is undressed, he crawls on top of you and hovers his big body over you. You pull his face to yours and kiss him deeply. You make him moan by your kisses. He trails his hands all over her body: your face, your neck, your breasts and then he traces your wet core and bites down on your bottom lip.
Ivar "Gods I love how wet I make you."
"Please don't tease."
Ivar "I will tease you if you don't beg for me."
"Please Ivar."
Ivar "Please what? Tell your king what you want."
"Your cock."
Ivar "Already?!"
"Yes, please. I can't wait any longer. I've wanted this all night long but I didn't think that you would be in the mood."
Ivar "Oh kitten, I am always in the mood. I will always give you what you want." He kisses you while he aligns his cock up to you. He thrusts into you deeply, not allowing you to adjust. You dig your nails into his shoulder blades earning a loud moan from him.
"Fuck, you feel so good!"
Ivar "That is right, kitten. Scream it. Scream how good I make you feel."
"Yes! Yes please don't stop!" You almost forget that your child is in the room because somehow he still hasn't woken up. He uses his fingers to massage your clit while he thrusts deeply.
Ivar "Oh there you go, baby. I can feel you tightening, give it to me baby. Cum for your king."
"Yes yes yes! Please don't stop!"
He continues with his movements and you cum at the same time. Breathless, he falls off of you and you rest your head on his chest. Your legs are still shaking minutes after you came, that is how hard it hit you.
Ivar "How did Baldur not wake up?"
"I don't know but I am glad that we could finish before he did."
Ivar "Oh we would have finished regardless, kitten." You kiss his chest before falling asleep for a half hour.
_____________________________________
You and Ivar walk out and Hvitserk is petting Messiah while eating along with Ubbe, Torvi and Igor.
"That smells good, what is it?"
Hvitserk "Deer. We saved you both plenty."
"Thank you!"
Ivar "Ubbe, any news?"
Hvitserk "Yes I did. I am gathering that you told Y/n?"
Ubbe "No. I feel like no news is good news."
Ivar."Possibly. Did you tell him your vision, brother?"
"He did."
Ubbe "And I am betting that you are still fighting."
"I am. I want to make my son proud of me Ubbe. I don't want him to think that I back down from every battle."
Torvi "I understand how you feel because I am the same way with my children."
"Thank you, Torvi."
You all feasted and talked about what we will all be doing after the battle. Hvitserk is going to stay in Kattegat as well as Ubbe and Torvi. You and Ivar are going to come back to Novgorod and raise Baldur to be a strong viking. Hvitserk will come visit Baldur every month so that he doesn't miss his godson growing up, which warms your heart. You look forward to your future with your entire family. You have gained the world when the gods gave you Ivar, and now you have to fight for it all over again. But this will be the last time.
