((ended up doing blog maintenance earlier than planned. i will get on responding to dms! i've just been, uh, doing some thinking.))
((i've decided to add yuma and nasch on as permanent muses! they have been taken off the test muse page and are in the process of being moved to the permanent muse page; their descriptions are a WIP right now.))
((after a lot of thought, i decided to make judai a test muse! my muse for him is usually strong enough, so he is open for interaction and asks. i know it's been a few weeks since my queue threw any rp memes on my blog... so, uh, feel free to dig through some older ones, or just ask him questions! responses may take a bit as i'm catching up, but i am accepting asks for him.))
((it's so ingrained in me that my face claim has to be a character i'm not rping though. so it took me a bit, but i sat down and made all new icons for the new faceclaim. i had a couple of choices i was between, but a random choice generator locked me into, of course, the option that required me to make the new icons.))
((and of course it picked one of the characters i'm most obsessed with right now. considering sevens and go rush have a smaller fanbase, i don't expect anyone would want to rp with him, which is why he's a faceclaim and not a test muse, so...))

((it's very late, so i intend to fall asleep very shortly. but i'm excited to bring yuga ohdo onto this blog even in just this small way.))
((I'M GONNA TRY TO RESPOND TO DMS TOMORROW I PROMISE. i got very fixated on making new faceclaim icons and coming up with new tags for nasch and yuma. thanks everyone for being patient!))

Series Masterlist ⭐︎ Previous Chapter
“Lego Head!”
Steve comes scrambling down the stairs, panic in his eyes at the sound of your cry, his heart pounding with worry but also with fear at the frustration in your voice.
He nearly slips on the hardwood floor as he rounds the corner into the kitchen, his hair still wet from the shower he just took after he hurried home from work. He wanted to clean the kitchen and get started on dinner before you got home but time wasn’t on his side today.
Steve doesn’t know whether he should smile out of adoration or tremble in fear at the sight of his pregnant wife, fuming at the unwashed dishes in the sink.
You look so cute, no matter the mood you are in, you are just so goddamn cute, standing in your sundress, hand over your belly, wedding ring shining under the golden light of the evening sun. The frown on your face is adorable as you stare at him with furrowed brows and downturned lips. His heart flutters so wildly in his chest, after years of marriage and kids, his feelings only intensified, they kept growing, his love deepening more and more, each passing day with you. He is so damn lucky.
He approaches you, glancing at the dishes he couldn’t get his hands on yet, he grabs your waist and pulls you closer, “I’m sorry, baby, I was gonna do them after the shower, I just got home from work–”
Your sniffle cuts him off and he instantly stops talking when he sees the tears in your eyes, your lips moving into a pout, guilt crossing your face as you stare at your loving husband.
“I’m sorry! – I know you’re tired–”
“No, no, don’t cry sweetheart, I know you had a hard day too.”
“No, I snapped at you, I’m–”
Steve can’t help but smile softly as he shakes his head, cupping your cheeks softly, he leans in and presses his lips to yours, kissing you softly, taking your mind off the dishes that drove your hormones insane.
A sigh of contentment falls from your lips, your eyes flutter shut and you melt so softly into him, placing one hand on his cheek, his stubble scratching against your palm. His scent, his body wash filling your senses and making your stomach flutter, making you feel at peace.
Steve smiles into the kiss as he feels himself calming down after the stressful day at work, your touch always brings him down, no matter how hectic and how bad a day has been, he always looks forward to coming home.
When you part from the kiss, your husband nuzzles your nose, making you giggle through the tears that sparked in your eyes. He tucks your hair behind your ears and places his large hand on your belly, his eyes glowing with nothing but love and happiness.
“Hi darling,” he whispers, greeting you properly now, he murmurs against your lips, kissing you once more.
“Hi Stevie, I missed you,” you whisper, pouting at him in a way that nearly brings him to his knees.
The smile never leaves his lips, his heart never stops to flutter. He kneels down and kisses your belly, whispering sweet nothings to his little princess.
You run your fingers through his wet hair, gazing down at him, your heart swells in your chest.
After running errands all morning and noon, you stopped by his workplace and he took you out for lunch at your favorite diner, he got you dessert too, even though it wasn’t for you as you had claimed but for the growing princess in your belly – he watched with adoration how you devoured that ice cream with such pleasure, just the way you do every night, when you’re both already in bed and a sudden craving of yours, has him jumping out of bed and tiptoeing down the stairs to get you whatever you or your little princess are asking for.
He remembers it like it was yesterday, when you announced your first pregnancy, he was so clueless and confused when you kissed him goodnight and turned your back to him, when usually, you would snuggle against him, nuzzle your nose into his neck and hold onto him tightly. He was a little hurt, even, thinking he had done something wrong to have you facing away from him but when he slid his hand under his pillow while he was staring at the back of your head and he felt something lying beneath, he furrowed his brows for a different reason as he felt the plastic touching his fingers, when he pulled it out and held it before his face, his eyebrows shot up, his eyes widened and a gasp threatened to fall from his lips as his heart started pounding wildly, excitement and giddiness settling in his stomach.
He needed to be one hundred percent sure that he was seeing correctly, so he turned on the light again, reached for the glasses he hated wearing so much, he didn’t even notice how you looked back at him with a soft smile on your face, he was too in shock about the two lines staring back at him. He knew what it was, he knew what it meant but he still needed the confirmation.
Baby,” he whispered, his voice shaky from the uncontainable excitement. He slowly turned towards you after he ripped the covers off himself, he placed his hand on your shoulder and turned you around, “darling, light of my life, my gorgeous wife, Blondie– please tell me that this is what I think it is,” he begged, eyes pleading as they stare at you with such love.
The smile on your face, the tears in your eyes that were matching his own were enough of an answer but you nodded and whispered a soft ‘yes’, nonetheless.
“You’re– You’re pregnant?” He whispered, eyes glossy and filled with a softness that had you trembling with emotions. “We’re having a baby?” He asked as his eyes flickered to your stomach that was covered by his shirt on your body, he slowly placed his hand on your belly, while still holding the pregnancy test with shaky hands.
You answered by placing your hand on top of his, nodding again with a happy tear running down your cheek, one that he kissed away in an instant before he wrapped you in his arms, hugging you tighter than he ever has before as tears of happiness cascaded down his own cheeks while you both giggled.
“Yes, Stevie, we’re having a baby,” you said softly, kissing his neck as he buried his face in yours, hand still lingering over your belly, protectively.
He cried, he cried from joy and from love, he could not contain the excitement he was feeling. He had been waiting for this moment for so long, he wanted it from the moment you became his girl. But you both waited, waited for the perfect moment – you enjoyed your time alone with each other, you traveled around the country, stayed in your favorite cities, you spent a summer in Italy, just the two of you.
You got married pretty early on in your relationship, you both knew what you wanted, there was no point in waiting to put rings on each other’s fingers but you decided to wait with kids, well, Steve was open to having them from the start, but you weren’t ready until about three months ago – the moment you have told him that you were off birth control, he pounced on you, ready to take you in every way possible, and he did, he did it a lot, not only that night, but all the following days and weeks, he took you absolutely everywhere, at any time. You thought that he was intense before but what followed after you told him that you were ready, topped everything that you had done in the past.
He kissed your neck, your cheeks, your forehead, your nose, he covered your whole face in kisses before his lips touched your own, he made you both giggle. “I love you, baby, I love you so fucking much,” he mumbled against your lips as his tears fell down on you, his soft eyes gazed into your own as his hand cradled your belly.
“I love you, Stevie,” you whispered and brushed your fingers through his messy hair, adoring the way the glasses adorned his pretty face.
More giggles fell from your lips when he started kissing down your body before he settled between your legs, lifting your shirt, he smiled before he pressed his lips to your belly, kissing it softly as he reached for your hand, entwining his fingers with yours, he looked up into your eyes, showing nothing but love for you.
“Hey,” he whispered into your belly, “you’re probably the size of a pea right now and don’t understand a thing I’m saying.”
His lips twitched at the sound of your sweet laughter, he squeezed your hand and held on tighter.
“But hi, I’m your dad,” he whispered as another tear fell from his eye, nothing short of adoration for you and your baby, pride swelling in his chest the more reality was sinking in, “I can’t wait to meet you,” his voice getting higher, his heart beating faster, “and I love you and your mommy so much, sweetpea.” He spoke as he pressed another kiss upon your warm skin.
There was no bump yet, but he already treated your belly like there was one, so much giddiness lingered in him at the thought of your future, of your growing family.
The family that he has now.
“I missed you more, my love,” he smiles softly, feeling the urge to just lift you up into his arms and carry you up into your bedroom, get in bed with you and hold you in his arms.
“Go lay down, I’m gonna get started on dinner.”
You place your hand over his, toying with his wedding ring. You shake your head, “I can help–”
“No, baby, my two girls need to rest,” he says, smiling as he rubs your belly. “Besides, Eddie is gonna be here soon with the–”
The door is banged open before he can even finish his sentence, startling you both before Eddie’s voice sounds through the hallway.
“Children delivery!”
Eddie steps into the kitchen, like he knew you’d both be here, carrying the two boys effortlessly, the older one of them on his shoulders and the other under his arms, already grinning at the sight of you.
“Daddy, Uncle Eddie taught me how to sword fight!” William exclaims, grinning proudly at his father while his little brother babbles away.
“Uncwe Ewwie wade gookies!” Elliot smiles excitedly.
Steve grins, eyes lighting up just the way yours do, you beam at your boys, smiling brightly as Eddie sets them down and they rush over to you, hugging your legs. You lean down and kiss their foreheads, brushing back William’s wild hair that resembles Steve’s so strongly, just like the hazel in his eyes.
“Hi mommy,” he smiles at you before he kisses your belly, whispering a soft ‘hello’ to his sister as his brother imitates him, making you chuckle while your husband watches with adoring eyes.
Steve crouches down to his boys and pulls them into his arms, making both of them giggle as he smacks his lips against their cheeks, greeting them cutely.
Your best friend chuckles as he watches your youngest, how he wraps his arms back around your leg the moment Steve lets them both go, while William makes his way out of the room and brushes past Eddie, no doubt making his way upstairs into his room.
“Did you bring us some of the cookies Uncle Eddie made?” You ask, smiling at your boy.
He shakes his head, pouting cutely as he looks between you and Steve, “I ate all gookies!”
Chuckles fall from your and your husbands lips, sharing amused glances with one another before he leans down and picks up Elliot into his arms, tickling his belly, the little boy giggles loudly.
“You ate all the cookies?” Steve gasps, beaming at his kid, “you’re the cookie monster, aren’t you?”
Elliot giggles and shakes his head at his dad.
“Oh yeah,” Eddie nods with raised eyebrows, stepping closer to the three of you, “he is a little cookie monster.”
“No, Ewwie!” The little boy exclaims, hiding his face in the crook of Steve’s neck, yawning as he snuggles against his dad.
Eddie laughs as he throws his arm around your shoulder, patting your belly softly, “alright alright, you’re not the cookie monster, buddy. But your sister is, your mom can eat a whole batch of cookies nowadays.”
Steve and Elliot giggle at Eddie’s words, while you glare at your best friend who grins at you, shrugging, “what? She has a sweet tooth, just like her mom.”
Eddie winks at you, the youthfulness still so deeply in his features, the playfulness in him still there, never leaving. His hair is just as long as it was years ago, if not longer, his band t-shirts still taking up most of the space in his closet, a few more rings adorn his fingers now, more tattoos on his arm and his chest, peeking out from beneath his shirt.
“Mhmm,” your husband nods, smiling softly at you as he lets Elliot down when he starts wiggling with his feet, he runs out of the kitchen the moment his dad puts him down, following his brother upstairs.
“Robin made you carrot cake, by the way, it’s in the fridge.”
Your eyes widen, lighting up at his words. Your mouth waters instantly, stomach grumbling at the mention of your newest craving.
Eddie chuckles at the expression on your face, the wide and excited eyes resembling the ones of a kid on christmas morning.
“I’m gonna kiss Robin.”
“Uh oh,” Eddie laughs, staring at Steve who frowns at you playfully, “be careful, Harrington, Robin knows how to steal girls.”
“Nobody is stealing my girl,” Steve shakes his head, wrapping his arm around your waist, he brings you closer and kisses your temple, “she’s mine.”
You place your hand on your husband’s chest, nuzzling your face into his shoulder.
“All yours, Lego Head.”
Eddie snorts at the nickname you have been using again lately, teasing Steve with it, every chance you get, but your husband only shakes his head with a smile on his face as his soft eyes gaze down into yours just as lovingly as they did back then, if not more.
It’s been seven years, almost eight, that you and Steve had found your way to each other after denying the bond that had always been there, seven years of this, of lovesick smiles and a bond that is unexplainable to anyone who never experienced a love like yours. You and Steve share something otherworldly, almost like you were made for each other, like you were made with each other, you got something that nothing could ever come between, absolutely nothing, not even death – Eddie is convinced.
Wherever one goes, the other will follow.
He sees the love you share, he sees the way your eyes speak to one another, how sometimes, neither of you has to use words to know what the other wants or needs, there is an understanding between you, no matter what happens, no matter what is going on, no matter the peace or the distress in your lives, you got each other and as long as you do, you both will be okay.
The vows you shared on your wedding day were nothing but truthful and honest words spoken from your hearts, your souls. No emptiness behind them, no promises to ever be broken but ones to keep not in force but in nature, nothing but love and adoration in your hearts for the other – maybe a slight possessiveness but only a healthy amount, a good kind.
Yours and Steve’s wedding will always be something that Eddie looks back at with joy and humor because you weren’t freaking out, neither was Steve, you were both calm, both at peace, both giddy and excited for the day you had been waiting for.
But Eddie, he was freaking out and so was Robin, both excited for their best friends but emotional at best.
Eddie cried when he saw you in your dress, he walked you down the aisle with a blurry vision, tears he tried to blink away were falling. You and Steve giggled through your own tears at your best friend who placed your hand into your fiance’s palm like an emotional father, not ready to see his little girl on the altar.
Eddie is so deeply lost in his thoughts as he stares at you both with a smile on his face, he doesn’t even hear the doorbell, only when you leave the kitchen, and Steve nudges his shoulder, does he snap out of it.
“You tired from babysitting all day, Munson?”
Eddie snorts, grumbling under his breath as he cracks his back.
“You better not make me babysit six kids in the future, or I swear on my uncle–”
“You love my kids, Munson, stop whining.”
“That’s right, I bet my favorite one is gonna be the girl, I just know she’s gonna be a little rockstar, a metalhead like her favorite uncle,” Eddie grins proudly.
Steve rolls his eyes, shaking his head in amusement.
“Are you sure you’re gonna be her favorite?” He asks as he gestures to his boys running down the stairs when they both step into the hallway to see who rang the doorbell.
“Max!” William smiles excitedly, running up to her to greet her, ready to talk her ear off about his day with Uncle Eddie. His brother giggles, throwing himself into Lucas’s arms who picks him up with a smile on his face.
“Hey little Steve,” Lucas jokes as he ruffles Elliot’s hair, “how are you buddy?”
Eddie sighs, placing his hand over his heart, a dramatic yet playful look residing on his face.
“I thought I was the favorite.”
Steve pats Eddie’s shoulder, “you’ll live.”
“Hey red,” Eddie calls out to his ‘step’ sister who nods along to William’s words, a smile upon her face. “How’s little red holding up in there?”
She scrunches her nose up, placing her hand on her small bump, “she’s making me nauseous.”
Lucas nods with wide eyes, “mhm and very hangry.”
Steve and Eddie chuckle while she glares at the three of them.
“Don’t worry, the nausea will pass,” you assure her, knowing just how awful the nausea can be in the first few months, how the morning sickness can drive you up the wall. Steve knows it too, he found you crouched over the toilet one too many times but he had always done such a good job at taking care of you, always there to pull your hair out of your face and rub your back, even when you told him to get out of the room and save himself from seeing you that way, like he would ever leave you to deal with anything by yourself. – He cooked for you, even took it upon himself to learn how to bake to satisfy your cravings, he never came home empty handed, he still doesn’t, he does everything to sweeten your day, absolutely everything. Not because you’re asking for it, you never would, not because he feels like he has to, no, he wants to, he wants to see the smile on your face, he wants to love on you, he loves to spoil you.
“Yeah, Blondie is the expert, she knows all about it, she’s only got like what? Three more pregnancies to go?” Your best friend cackles, making Steve’s cheek go red as the metalhead reminds him of the drunken night he told him that he would put six babies into you.
Max and Lucas both chuckle while Steve groans, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“You’re doing good with it so far, you’re already halfway through!” Lucas grins, wiggling his eyebrows between you and your husband, gesturing to your bump, while Elliot’s big eyes flicker back and forth curiously.
“Daddy bought me a new skateboard!” William exclaims, tugging at Max’s hand as he completely ignores the conversation happening in the room.
“He did?” Max smiles down at him.
“Yeah! Let’s go!” He drags her away, excitedly, beckoning Lucas to come with him as well, to which he chuckles, still holding Elliot in his arms as he follows the little boy and his girlfriend, their voices echoing in the living room.
Steve wears a smile on his lips, his eyes following them until they step out into the backyard. Tilting his head back to you, his eyes soften only further, he pushes himself off the wall and makes his way towards you, reaching his hand out to yours, he takes it softly and pulls you into his arms, kissing your temple, his chest flutters when he breathes in your sweet scent.
A content sigh falls from your lips as you lean into your husband, resting your head on his chest and wrapping an arm around his waist.
“Are you feeling alright, honey?” He murmurs, looking down at you with gentle eyes as his palm rubs your belly.
“Yeah,” you smile, nuzzling further into him.
“Right,” Eddie clears his throat, pretending to be annoyed by the affection you’re both displaying (constantly), “I’m gonna get going, I’m taking my honey out on a date.”
“Ooh, where are you taking her?” You ask.
“Nothing special, we’re going to the movies and then we’ll get some dinner at Enzo’s.”
“That’s nice, Eddie,” Steve shakes his head at him, any date, any moment is special when it’s spent with the right person, he knows it.
“Yeah, I love a movie date and dinner!”
Eddie chuckles at your enthusiasm, “yeah, you only do it like every week,” he huffs in amusement.
“We love it,” Steve shrugs, looking down at you with loving eyes.
“I know you do and well, I do too so I’m gonna go now,” Eddie says, patting Steve on his shoulder before he ruffles your hair and pinches your cheek, “take care of yourself, mama and listen to your hubby when he tells you to rest.”
Steve chuckles at the way you slap your best friend’s hand away, glaring at him.
“I get enough of rest–”
“No, you don’t, honey,” Steve shakes his head, “can’t rest for a single second, you always gotta do something.”
You pout at him, making his eyes soften only further. He leans down and presses his lips to yours before you can protest.
“That’s my cue,” Eddie mumbles, he opens the front door, shouting a goodbye to the boys and to Max and Lucas. He winks at the both of you, grinning when you pull away from one another, “bye lovebirds, enjoy your free time while your two babysitters are keeping your nuggets busy.” He wiggles his brows and cackles, walking out of the door with an amused look on his face, he looks back one more time before he shuts the door, leaving you both to yourselves.
Giggles and voices come from the garden, the sun is still high up in the sky, warmth seeping into the house through the open doors and windows. One peek out in the backyard, you can see William showing his newest tricks to Max while Elliot plays basketball with Lucas, squealing and giggling every time Lucas picks him up so he can shoot the ball into the net.
“Hmm,” Steve hums with a smile on his face, positioning himself behind you, he wraps his arms around your waist, placing one hand under your belly and the other on top of yours, he leans down and props his chin up on your shoulder after kissing it, “let’s order dinner tonight and just relax.”
You lean your head back against his chest, tilting your head to the side, you look up at him, eyes big and soft – something that still drives him crazy.
“Relax?” You giggle when you see the smirk on his lips.
He nuzzles his face into your neck, kissing you softly, “I just want you all to myself for a moment, I missed you all day, darling.”
Your eyelashes flutter, a sweet sigh falls from your lips when he continues to pepper your neck in kisses, you wrap your hand around his wrist, giving it a squeeze, “I missed you too, Stevie,” you whisper.
“Ten minutes, baby, I want ten minutes with my beautiful wife,” he murmurs against your neck, sucking teasingly, making you melt into his arms further.
Your heart flutters in your chest, a small but needy whine escapes you, “ten minutes,” you whimper.
Steve doesn’t need to be told twice, he smacks his lips against your skin once more before he turns you around and he cups your cheeks, leaning down, his nose touches yours, his lips brush against your own, “I love you so much, Blondie,” he teases you with the nickname before he kisses you softly, making you smile against him.
You place your palm above his fluttering heart, resting your other on the back of his neck, “I love you so much, Lego Head,” you tease him back.
He chuckles, leaning his forehead against yours, his soft eyes stare into yours lovingly. He reaches his hand up to your necklace, the one you haven’t taken off since he got it for you all these years ago.
“Where are your glasses, honey?” You ask, sliding your hand from his neck to cup his cheek, thumb caressing his cheekbone.
Steve scrunches his nose up, “I don’t like them.”
He didn’t even like the reading glasses he needed at first, he refused to wear them, claiming that he didn’t even need them. He was squinting his eyes like crazy, it was clear that he struggled to make out the words in the books he was reading, eventually he caved and started wearing them.
But now he needs them for more than just reading and he hates it, he only puts them on when he’s driving and takes them off for everything else, throws them into the drawer in the nightstand and lets them sit there until he has to drive somewhere again.
“Well, I think that you look very handsome wearing them,” you smile, licking your lips as your eyes flicker between his soft eyes and his very kissable mouth. “Very, very handsome,” you whisper and blink at him, innocently.
Your husband smirks at the suggestive tone in your voice, his cheeks heat up, warmth surging through his body.
“Oh, yeah? Well then, I gotta put them on for you… right now.”
A squeal almost falls from your lips when he picks you up suddenly, carrying you up the stairs, bridal style, just like on the day you got married and just like on many occasions after.
Steve kisses your cheek on the way up, grinning at you excitedly, lovingly. His heart swells when you hold onto him tighter, laying your head on his shoulder and nuzzling your nose into his neck.
He adores you, he adores you so much, if his heart could explode from all the love he holds for you, then it would’ve burst by now. He always knew that he loved hard, before you got together, months and months after dating, but even now after so many years together, after creating this beautiful family, he keeps on falling, loving you harder, each day.
It’s all he ever wanted.
And you both had to go through such darkness to get here, he spent so many nights wondering if you’d both be here if things never happened the way they did, back then. – He hates to think of a life without you in it, he despises the thought with all his being.
“Blondie?” He whispers after sitting down on your king sized bed, with you on his lap.
“Yes?” Your voice is only above a whisper, soft and gentle.
Steve grabs your chin tenderly, he looks into your loving eyes and smiles.
“I would go through it all again if it meant I’d get to be where I am, right now. I would go through the darkness, through Vecna, through the upside down… I would do it all over again if I’d get all this, you, in the end.”
There are tears in his eyes and in yours, not of sadness, only of love.
“I would do it all over again too, Stevie,” you whisper with no hesitation.
“Yeah?” He asks softly, gazing at you with teary eyes.
“Yeah,” you nod and lean your forehead against his, “anything for my love.”
His cheeks grow pink every time you call him that, heart beating wildly in his chest, he places his hand on your belly, stroking it softly.
“Anything?”
“Mhmm, anything.”
“Be my forever,” he whispers softly, lips ghosting over yours in a smile, eyes big and sparkly – like you aren’t his forever already.
“You already are, silly,” you peck his lips, making him grin against you, “you’re my forever.”
He cups your cheeks fully now, kissing you stronger and deeper, holding you like he will never let you go – and he won’t, he won’t ever let go.
“And you are mine, Blondie.” Steve kisses you again and again. “My forever.”
It’s hard to believe you were once behind one of the mall’s pillars, hiding from his view, watching him serve ice cream in that stupid sailor outfit while you tried to earn up the courage to talk to him, to really talk to him for once in your life.
It’s hard to believe that he was once looking at you from afar, watching you walk through the hallways without glancing twice towards the same person, wishing you would look at him at least once.
Hard to believe that you two never realized you were performing a stupid dance, be it around each other or with each other for years and years, and now that dance is over. Is it? No. You are still dancing, but now, it’s synchronized, magnetized, and a dance that cannot be broken.
A dance that now is shared with multiple people, with family you thought you would never have again, with family he thought he never deserved, with friends that stuck to you both like glue, and with your children that giggle every time you twirl around one another.
But just because it is hard to believe, doesn’t mean that it would’ve never happened, that it shouldn’t have happened, that it wasn’t supposed to happen. You would have found your way to each other, even without the darkness that pushed you into each other’s arms, the darkness that allowed you to find the happiness and love that you share with each other now.
Forever. And ever… And ever. In this universe, in the next, and the rest to come.
The End.

When The Night Calls
Tumblr media
[Izuku Midoriya x Female!Reader]
Synopsis: Your best friend leaving the hero course was enough to make you lose your mind. Especially when he’s suddenly standing across from you with nothing but a tired smile.
WC: 2978
Category: Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Vigilante!Deku
Please give this one extra love!! Somehow Midoriya is also very suspiciously difficult to write 👀 (Also, that 3rd-degree burn I gave my hand today is making me want to cry and throw myself in a river. Damn you, AO3 curse!! )
『••✎••』
Seeing that letter taped on your door broke you in more ways than one.
He had been gone for almost a week, but his note left behind made you realize just how long it'd been. How long he had left you with nothing more than a simple explanation of his departure and how it felt like he was never coming back.
The entire class had been on edge ever since. The note even threw Bakugo for a loop, as much as he would deny it. It had everyone wondering where he was and if he was okay.
It hurt you the most, though. He was the closest friend you had and the only one who truly understood your feelings.
But now he was gone.
Aizawa still continued teaching, but with Midoriya absent, the class just couldn't focus. He wasn't as good at making things seem less depressing or stressful, and his lectures were just boring without a green bush to lighten the mood. Or at least, you thought so.
You haven't been paying much attention lately, and you're too busy thinking of your missing friend. Your grades had been slipping, but it wasn't like anyone could blame you. Even if your friends could, they didn't say anything.
They had tried talking to you, but all you could do was give them a half-hearted smile, shake your head, and tell them, "I'm fine."
You weren't fine, and you knew that. But what were you supposed to do? Cry about it? It’s not like he’d come back if you did that.
Ironically, he did technically come back.
That day, Aizawa decided to keep the pain everyone felt about Midoriya buried beneath the surface, so he assigned you all a ten-page essay about the history of quirks.
So, here you were, writing a half-assed essay close to two in the morning. Kaminari was blowing up the group chat with memes and random jokes, but no one seemed to care or even respond.
Well, that was until Bakugo started yelling at him to stop texting because he was trying to sleep.
That went on for about a solid ten minutes, with everyone getting annoyed at the two idiots, but eventually, it died down.
You took a glance at the clock, which now read 2:12 a.m.
Sleep just couldn't come to you. Not now, not when your brain was filled with thoughts of the broccoli boi.
Then, there was a tiny patter against your window, almost like a knock. If it hadn’t been so quiet, you might not have heard it.
You ignored it at first, of course, but it continued, the knocks getting louder and more urgent.
Finally, you stood from your chair, deciding to investigate, but then, the knocking stopped.
You paused, confused, but shrugged, figuring you must have been hearing things.
Yeah, right, because hearing knocks on your dorm window at 2 a.m. is normal.
It turned out to be a good thing you got up because when you turned back around, a figure was directly behind you.
You jumped back in fear, letting out a short shriek before slapping your hands over your mouth. The side eye glance to your window, now open and curtain rustling in the slight wind, had you regretting not locking the damn thing.
The figure let out a small chuckle, his shoulders shaking a bit, and your heart rate sped up.
You could see the person a lot better now that they weren't in the shadows, but the moonlight still kept their face hidden.
All you could see was the curly mess of green hair and a large hoodie with a black mask pulled over the bottom half of their face.
But you didn’t have to see his eyes to know exactly who it was.
Your hands fell limply to your sides as the boy stepped closer. His hand reached the hood of his suit, slowly pulling it off, and his bright, emerald green eyes were staring straight into yours.
The only thing you could do was stare, dumbfounded.
"You did lock it, by the way," the boy's voice said. It sounded hoarse and scratchy as if he hadn't spoken in days. He probably hadn't.
Still, his intuition never failed.
You continued to stare, eyes wide and unblinking.
Midoriya's brow furrowed, a look of worry replacing his smile.
"They really should put more difficult locks on these things. I mean, honestly, all I had to do was twist it, and it opened. If I were a villain, then— hmph!"
Your arms wrapped around his neck tightly, cutting him off. His eyes widened, surprised, but eventually, he relaxed, wrapping his own arms around your waist and pulling you closer.
"I was so worried," you said. You could feel your body starting to tremble, tears pricking your eyes. "Everyone was."
His arms tightened, his chin resting on your shoulder.
"I know. I'm sorry," he whispered, his breath tickling your ear. "I couldn't think of any other way."
You leaned back a bit enough to look him in the eyes. His tired, determined eyes.
"Wait, if you’re here… does that mean...?"
"I need my notebook." He kept his frown, and a sigh escaped his lips. "You have my old notes, right? I need those."
Oh.
That was it.
That was why he was back.
"Oh," You failed to hide the disappointment in your tone. "Right, uh, hold on…"
You pulled away, your eyes looking away from his. You could feel his eyes burning into the back of your head as you walked over to the desk, rummaging through the drawer.
Speaking of, your desk was an absolute disaster. If allowing students in your dorm room wasn't against the rules, Iida would have broken down your door a long time ago, screaming at the top of his lungs about how your room was in utter chaos.
Eventually, you found it. It was covered in sticky notes, and some of the pages were folded. Makes sense, considering the fact that you'd spent the last week reading it, studying, and hoping to find some kind of clue about his whereabouts and the league itself.
But even if it was in your hands, screaming for its owner, you hesitated. He was going to leave again, wasn't he? He wasn't going to stay.
But common sense hit you. You couldn’t force him to stay. It would be selfish of you to even ask.
You turned, walking back over to him. He was staring intently at the ground, his eyes narrowed in concentration, and he had a small frown on his face.
When you were a couple of feet away, he finally looked up, his hand reaching out for the book.
"Here," you said, trying not to let the sadness seep into your words. "Don’t mind the added stickies. Simpler terms, easier to understand, you know?"
"Right, thanks," he murmured, his eyes darting over the cover before flipping through the pages. His brows were scrunched together, and his fingers fiddled with the pages, flipping through them with a practiced speed.
He was so concentrated on the notebook that he didn't see your frown, and he didn't see the sadness in your eyes.
But then, he froze.
His eyes scanned over one of the pages, his fingers tightening around the spine of the book, and his breath hitched.
His eyes flickered up to yours, and his lips were set in a tight line.
"You read this?"
"Huh?" You blinked, taken aback. "Was I… not supposed to read it all?"
"What? No, no, I meant this page."
He flipped the book around, opening it to a certain page, and held it up for you to see.
Oh, yeah, his page. The one where he wrote about himself. Which, proudly, you knew most of what was written in it, anyway. Some things caught you off guard, but not many.
"Oh, yeah, I skimmed over it," you admitted.
"And... how much did you skim over?"
"Um... all of it? I mean, I'm in your hero notes, too. I took a lot more of my time on the page dedicated to me, I have to admit, but uh… What's the big deal?"
Midoriya looked at you, and his gaze was intense. "Did you… miss me that much that you would study my hero notes that closely?"
"Well, I wouldn’t say closely—"
He tilted his head in an almost sarcastic manner, and his eyes narrowed as he leaned over to point at a section in his notes.
A bright pink sticky note, covered in stars, was stuck onto the paper.
It was a small part, a very short paragraph, and you had given your analysis of him and not of his quirk either. It was a list of his attributes, his personality, and the type of hero he was.
To someone else, it would be pretty informative about what kind of person he was and what kind of hero he would be, but you both knew the true meaning behind the note.
Because it was all the things you missed about him.
"… oh, " was all you could say.
The air around you two suddenly became awkward, the silence becoming heavy.
The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
But, as expected, Midoriya broke the silence.
"I figured since you’re still awake, it must mean that you're working on homework or studying, and you wouldn’t do that at night if I weren’t gone," he began. "I thought that maybe it would be too soon to come back, or even that I should have stayed away, but, well, I really needed my notes, and, honestly, I wanted to see you, and—!"
He was rambling again. You could practically see the gears turning in his head, his brain spitting out more words than his mouth could.
At least he was still himself, you thought.
You decided to cut him off, placing your hand on his arm, and he jolted at the sudden contact, his head snapping back up to yours.
"I’m sorry," you said, looking down.
He looked confused, tilting his head. "What for? You have nothing to be sorry for; you didn't do anything wrong."
"No, I—" You cut yourself off, biting your lip, and looked away. You took a deep breath before speaking.
"I'm sorry," you started. "For not stopping you. For not coming with you. For not helping you. I had no idea what you were going through, and I was too worried about myself, and I didn't—"
"Hey, hey, stop," Midoriya said, placing his hand on your shoulder. You hadn't realized you were shaking. "This is my fight, okay? It's not yours, and I was the one who didn’t want to bring anyone else into this mess. This isn’t your fault, so please don’t beat yourself up about it."
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do." You looked back up at him, tears blurring your vision. "I don’t know how to help."
He was silent for a moment, but then, he pulled you closer, wrapping his arms around you once again, and you buried your head in his chest, gripping the fabric of his hoodie.
"It's okay," he said. "I don’t expect you to know how to help, and I didn’t come here for your help. Well, technically, I did since you had my notebook, but I’m speaking on a—"
“I know, I know," you mumbled.
Another moment of silence, and then, he sighed, a puff of air brushing your ear.
"I'm not sure when I'll be back, if I ever will, but I promise," he whispered, his breath tickling your ear and his words making your heart skip a beat. "I promise we will be fine. We all will. Me, you, everyone else. It might take a while, but we will be okay."
You nodded, your grip on his hoodie tightening. This was the sound of a goodbye, and the finality of it terrified you.
"It’s just…" you mumbled, and his brow furrowed.
"Just what?"
You hesitated, a lump forming in your throat.
"What?" He repeated, pulling back to look you in the eye. "Please tell me."
You took a deep breath, swallowed the lump, and looked him in the eye.
"It's just that... You’re my not-alone buddy, remember?”
Midoriya froze, his eyes widening.
It was a little game you two had back when things weren’t so complicated. Back when you were just normal students.
You both struggled to make friends, so you made a pact. Obviously, that thought disbanded when everyone else got close, and now you all were pretty good friends, but the friendship between him and you was different. It was a bond between you two that was just special.
Not even ‘Kacchan’ could ruin that, as close as he and Midoriya grew.
You never called him Deku, even after Bakugo and the rest of the class started calling him by the nickname. Sure, it was his hero name, and you could call him that, but you just never felt comfortable.
Todoroki didn’t either, but then again, Todoroki didn't call anyone by their nicknames.
But, back to the point.
"We made a pact, and... that was one of the things I wrote on the sticky notes." You gestured to the book. "It was during my angry denial phase, so I’m not that proud of it, but… it was still true."
"You were angry?" He asked, confused. "Why?"
"Well, first of all, I was worried sick. I knew you were going to go do something stupid, and obviously, I was right.”
He winced at that.
"But I was angry because you didn’t trust me, and I felt like you were leaving me, too," you said, biting your lip. "I know that sounds stupid and selfish, and I get that this was your battle, not mine, and I can't change that, but... I guess I was just scared. You didn’t even tell me before you left, and the note was just..."
You trailed off, a lump forming in your throat again, and your eyes burned with tears.
You didn't want to cry in front of him, so you buried your face in his chest again, and his grip tightened around you.
"I'm sorry," he apologized.
You shook your head. "Don’t apologize. It's not like you're changing your mind."
He was quiet for a moment, his head lowering and his lips resting on your forehead.
"I'm sorry," he whispered.
Your breath hitched. "Izuku, please don't say it."
He pulled back, and his face was unreadable. He looked determined, his eyes burning with passion, and it hurt. It hurt to know that, despite everything, he still had his mind made up.
"I have to go," he said, and his voice was quiet. "I don’t want to leave you alone. I really don’t, but I have to, and you need to stay safe. Me being here isn't doing anything good, and I can't keep coming back and putting you in danger. So, for now, at least until the Shigaraki is dealt with, please just be safe. Don’t try and find me, and please don't let anyone else know I was here."
He paused, his eyes glancing towards the window.
"Actually, I might come back just to get rid of that lock. I mean, seriously, I barely even touched it, and it came right off. You could easily replace it with something stronger, maybe one of those new locks that only respond to fingerprints! But, then it can be traced back to you, and they can use you to— oh, man, I'm rambling again, aren't I?"
You didn't bother to respond. Instead, you leaned up, pressing your lips against his cheek.
Midoriya's entire face went bright red, his mouth opening and closing like a fish.
You could feel your face burning, but it was worth it to see his reaction.
"Be careful," you said. "Please, Izu, don’t be stupid."
"R-Right."
He stumbled a bit, his hand coming up to touch the spot where your lips were. His eyes flickered back to you, and you swore you saw him blushing, but then he turned, heading towards the window.
"Oh, uhm, b-by the way," he said, reaching the window. He placed his hand on the frame, glancing back at you. "For Aizawa's essay, you have to also analyze the strengths and weaknesses, not just the evolution of quirks. Make sure to read the whole paragraph in that book he gave us at the beginning of the semester."
He gave you one last smile, pulling the mask over his mouth and the hood over his head. You looked in befuddlement as he stepped out onto the roof, and your hands were wrapped around the edges of the open window.
"How did you—"
"It's Aizawa," His mask was muffling his voice, so he lifted it up a bit, and his eyes twinkled. "What else do you expect from him?"
And then he jumped.
He let the mask drop back down and became just another shadow in the night, with his green lightning trailing behind him.
You didn’t have the energy to laugh, and you didn't have the heart.
You leaned against the windowsill, letting the cool night air wash over your face. You sighed, watching the clouds drift in the sky.
"You're still an idiot," you whispered, closing your eyes.
When the sun rises, this encounter will only be a distant memory.
But for now, the cold night was enough to convince you otherwise. For now, his green eyes were staring up at the same night sky, and he was thinking of you, too.
That kiss on the cheek, as tame as it was, was still enough to make his head spin. You were still his friend, his not-alone buddy, and nothing was going to change that.
And you both were okay with that.

SKZ! FAKE TEXTS: Felix Make Up
Chan | Minho | Changbin | Hyunjin | Jisung | Seungmin | Jeongin | Part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You feel your blood boil as you force the door open, a scowl on your face as you glare at Felix. He stood there tears streaming down his cheeks as his eyes widened in surprise. "Love...." He sighs as he wraps his arms around your waist. His head rests on your shoulder as he inhales your scent. The smell of his best friend, Sooji's perfume still all over him. The entire night was an epic fail.
What was supposed to be a fun night at the fair, became a nightmare. Let alone your boyfriend forgetting the purpose of the date in the first place. You couldn't understand how he could be so amazing but the second Sooji came around, he dropped everything for her. How could you get over this? You felt you could deal with a third wheel on your anniversary date. Felix works a lot he doesn't have much time to hang out with you often let alone his best friend. But you couldn't stand that you became the third wheel for a night you were paying for in the first place. You felt stupid, you paid for her tickets, meals, and prizes. You spoiled your now ex-boyfriend's side chick. Like an idiot. and he had the nerve to show up only minutes after you arrived home? He had the nerve to act like what they did wasn't wrong and touch you?
"Get off of me" You grit as you shove him slightly. You hear Felix whimper as his grip tightens. You can feel his head shake a resounding no. "Now. Lee Yongbok" You growl. Felix begins sobbing harshly into your shoulder. "No! Please! please...I'll do anything! Please don't make me let you go. Please don't make me leave....." He pleads. His body trembles as he continues to sob and beg.
"Do you even know what you did?"
He stares at you dumbfounded. "I-I.....uhm...I-I...." He stammers as he pulls away slightly. You use the opportunity to free yourself from his grasp and close the door behind you. "Felix, you love Sooji. You should be with her...." You state with a sad sigh. He shakes his head in denial "N-No! No that's not true. I'm sorry if I made you believe that but I swear, it's not true. I love you. Y/F/N. That's who I love. that's who I want to be with. I'm so fucking sorry but please...please believe me. i just made a mistake. I should have realized today was important and that she shouldn't have come—You think that's the problem?" You cut him off. "You think I care more that Sooji came and not the fact that you made me bankroll your little date with Sooji on our anniversary? You think her presence was the problem and not the fact that you treat her more like your girlfriend when she's around and if you don't she throws a fucking fit?"
"I-I don't know what to say....I-I didn't realize—of course you didn't. you only care about how Sooji feels. You only care about Sooji" You cut him off again "Please leave. go be with her I'm tired of being your second choice."
"You're not! stop saying that I like Sooji; I don't. I love you, I pity Sooji. Thats all! i don't want to be with her. Im sorry, I'm so fucking sorry. I shouldn't have behaved like that with her. I'm sorry I made you misunderstand me but please know that the only person I want to be with is you. I'll do anything to fix this please let me fix this....." He argues, his voice cracking as he finishes his plea. He stares at you with a fear-stricken expression when you don't say anything. His hand holds yours as he sniffles. "It's my fault. I should have been better, you can be mad at me as long as you want. I-if you want to hit me that's okay.....just please, please give me a chance to fix this. I won't talk to her ever again. I won't make you uncomfortable with any more friendships. Please give me a chance...."
"I don't know, Felix....."
"I can make this up to you. you know I can. please just let me come in and we can talk. That's all I want is to talk, please..."
“What do you want me to do, Felix? Pretend I didn’t come out of the bathroom and see you guys all over each other? Pretend you didn’t show more interest in her than me? Pretend that you don't really want to be with me?”
“Stop fucking saying that!” He growls angrily as his palm slams into your door frame forcefully. His face was red as rage boiled over in his stomach "Sooji is someone I fucking pity. I feel bad for her because she was abandoned by her family. I felt like I'd be an asshole if I just ditched her too but I don't feel shit for her. I love you just fucking listen to me for once! Yes, I fucked up. but she doesn't mean what you do. She's not close to your level in my eyes so fucking stop" He growls. You flinch as he raises his voice. For a moment, he was almost unrecognizable. You had heard that he could be temperamental on occasion but you had never witnessed his anger firsthand. You look toward your neighbor's house. His hand caresses your cheek. "Look at me...." He urges, and you shake your head "You really hurt me...."
"I'll spend every day making it up to you."
"I can't trust you..."
"You can....but I-I understand why you feel like you can't. But Y/N please know, I would never do anything like this again. If my friendship with Sooji makes you uncomfortable then I won't be friends with her anymore. I won't talk to her or see her anymore....." He stammers nervously, his voice trembling slightly with fear. "I'm not the type of person to dictate your friendships, Felix. and I don't want to be with someone who doesn't know how to draw a line or notice when someone is being too much. Like if I had a guy friend that treated me the way you treat Sooji. Would that make you feel comfortable? Would you have faith in our relationship after catching me in the situation I caught you in tonight?" You question softly, nervous about his answer. You finally turn to look at him and notice the way his jaw is clenched. His free hand balled into a fist at his side, eyes closed as his anger and jealousy were painted on his expression.
"T-That's different...."
"Why? because its me? " You snide.
"No! Because I didn't even realize how it looked until now. I thought I was just being a supportive friend! I didn't mean for it to look like anything inappropriate was going on. I don't like her like that, I love you. I want to be with you. If you're so sure I don't love you then why am I here?" He argues. He steps closer to you. your chests now pressed together, as he leans in closer his lips brushing over yours. "Why am I here fighting you on this?" He whispers. You stare into his eyes feeling his sincerity. "I-I—Because—" He cut you off with a passionate kiss before you could argue. You stand frozen for a moment before your arms wrap around his neck and your lips move against his. "I love you" he whispers infatuatedly as his lips continue to move against yours. His hands gripping your waist as he pulls you closer to him. Your cheeks are a bright scarlet as he repeats the phrase over and over as he presses your back against your front door. "I'm so sorry for hurting you, My love." He kisses you softly again. "I'll make it up to you I promise. please forgive me?"
You pull away, your breath heavy and your lips swollen. Felix stared at you like a kicked puppy as you made space between you. "I'm not gonna let you off this easy....." you mumble "You better work your ass off to make this up to me..." You cross your arms, and a bright smile forms on Felix's lips as he pulls you into a bone-crushing hug. "Thank you! You won't regret this I swear! I promise you, I'll make this up to you." He smiles as he rests his forehead on yours. "Starting tonight!" He states excitedly as he pulls away slightly, lifts you over his shoulder, and playfully rushes into the house as you laugh at his antics.

ding!
You woke up to a notification, but who would text you at this hour? It's like 7AM.. oh. It's 12PM.. how did you sleep in for so long? You checked your phone to see that your manager has requested you to come in.
For some reason you accepted, maybe for the extra pay.. you don't know. But you quickly hopped out of bed, took a shower, got dressed, and walked out of your apartment complex.
You got in your car, turned on your favorite song and was off to work. Today was going to be a good day for you, you'll make some money for a short shift and maybe just lie in bed the entire day.
Your job went by pretty fast and as you stepped out the building, you felt a drop of rain. Your happy mood turned into a sour one as even more droplets of rain fall down upon you. You didn't have an umbrella.
You quickly covered yourself with a jacket and went to go find your car in the parking lot when all of a sudden the rain drops are gone? You look up to see an umbrella above your head, you turn to see Nanami, who also has an umbrella under his head.
Oh dear, did Nanami have to see you like this? You awkwardly thanked him and he just smiled softly.
"I assume you just got back from your job?" Nanami questioned.
"Yeah, I did." You replied and took the umbrella from him, his hands brushing against yours gently. Just as you thanked him and was about to walk away, Nanami spoke again. "Wait, do you have a minute?"
Did you? Hell no. But for Nanami? Hell yes.
You turned back around, "Sure. What is it?" You asked him. "Okay, this might be a little rude of me to ask and It's totally fine if you don't want to talk to me about this, but is Gojo okay? He's looks a bit.. on edge, and I know you two are going out.." Nanami said, although there seemed to be no hint of concern for Gojo in his eyes.
"Oh, uh.. we broke up a week ago actually." You replied. Nanami looked a little intrigued, "Really? I thought saw you two kissing outside of a bakery a few days ago." Nanami responded.
"We did, but I didn't want him to. I pushed him off after a few seconds," You sighed. "Oh, I'm sorry I reminded you of that." Nanami apologized. "Don't worry about it," You replied. "I'd love to chat more, but I need to get home." You replied, hoping he'd offer his number.
"That's fine, sorry for keeping you. I can give you my number if you like," Nanami offered, making you wanna jump for joy.
You accepted his offer and you drove home with nothing short of excitement, you had Nanami's umbrella and his number? This was the best day of your life.
As you stepped into your apartment, you saw Satoru there. So it looks like it was not the best day of your life. "What the hell!? Why are you here?" You yelled.
"I'm trying to change, I am. But you're not giving me a chance. Can't we just start over? Please? I'll do anything.." Satoru begged you.
"Why can't you just give it up? I'm so tired of you." You replied as your face displayed an unimpressed expression. "Maybe I should get a restraining order?" You added.
"God damn it, I'm trying here! Why can't you see that I'm sorry? What else do I need to do for you to take me back!?" Satoru yelled. "Who said I'm taking you back?" You scoffed.
Satoru's face showcased fear and anger, "What do you mean? You wouldn't leave me, right?" He asked, almost begging.
"I already did, get out my apartment." You said, pointing to the door of your apartment. "So you're really leaving me? Just like that?" Satoru frowned.
"Indubitably," You replied with sass.
And with that, Satoru was gone.. maybe? Who knows.

Happy Scrolling! | Masterlist
Tumblr media
"We have got to get out more! This is so fun!" your friend yells over the loud music playing in the bar.
The time reads 12:30 A.M, and as much fun as this is, you can't deny the fact you're getting tired.
"For real, I could go all night!" another one of your friends says, her arms swinging over her head to the beat of the music.
Your eyes widen at that- all night?
"Come on Y/N, dance! You don't even look like you're having fun." They grab your arms, swaying you back and forth.
You let them have their fun for a few more songs, allowing your whole body to feel the music.
The time slips away from you, the rampant atmosphere providing you a distraction from your drowsiness. Your alcohol intake is definitely a factor, as well.
Your phone rings in your pocket, bringing you back to reality. You unlock it to reveal Changbin's name. You haven't heard from him, or any of your ex's other friends, since the breakup. Not that you were expecting to, but it's definitely strange for him to be calling you now.
Figuring it could be an emergency, you excuse yourself from the dance circle your friends have created and step outside to take the call.
"Hello?" you answer, your voice timid.
"Hello? Y/N?" you hear from the other side. He sounds a little out of breath, a hint of panic coming through.
"Yea, Changbin, is everything alright?" you question, your concern growing.
"Um, kinda? I don't know," he responds, sounding distracted. He sounds distant now, like he's pulled the phone away from his ear.
"Where are you? Do you need help?"
"Well, I'm with Chan. We're in the park, just off your university campus. He's refusing to go home until he sees you. He's pretty wasted right now, but I can't get him to come home, so I figured giving you a call was worth a shot."
Your breath hitches in your throat when you hear Chan's slurred words in the background. "Is-is that Y/N? Let me talk to her."
"No, Chan, just sit back down." You hear some shuffling from the other side before Changbin's voice becomes clearer again. "Hello? Are you still there?"
You debate hanging up. This was not supposed to happen tonight. Your friends brought you out to forget about him, not go and see him all desperate and drunk for you. Somewhere in the back of your tipsy mind, you know you want to see him, to touch him one more time.
Your breakup was sad for both you and Chan. You were the one who ended it. It was nothing Chan did; you were just far too stressed with everything you had going on, and you didn't feel like it was fair to Chan. He was always busy with producing, and if he wasn't producing, he was in meetings or hanging with the boys.
You always had class and work, and you felt like you were starting to neglect your studies. With you nearing the end of your degree, entering your senior year a few months prior, that was the last thing you needed.
So, for the sake of both of your education and futures, you broke it off. It was sudden, and you caught him completely off guard with it.
You remember how absolutely heartbroken he sounded, the sounds of his choked up words forever tattooed on your brain. "What do you mean? Did I do something wrong?" He'd grabbed your hands, pulling them close to his chest. His heartbeat was erratic, similar to his breathing, and the tears welled in his eyes so fast you feared they'd spill over before you could even respond.
"I just think it's for the best," you had replied. You were cold and emotionless with it, trying to protect your own heart in the process of breaking his. You never did tell him why you were ending it. You were scared he'd call you ridiculous, saying that that's no reason to breakup, and that he could fix it.
That's not what you had wanted to hear at the time. You felt you were doing the right thing for both of you.
It had been months since then, and your heart never healed. You still loved him, but you were always too embarrassed to reach out. After all, it was your fault. You were the one who broke up with him, not the other way around.
You never heard from any of the other boys either. You knew they were a tight-knit group, so you assumed they hated you. You hated yourself too, in a way. You broke his heart into a million pieces and never even told him why.
You wanted him. You needed him, so so bad. You've been waiting for this moment for months. Sure, maybe you weren't expecting him to be completely wasted, but you couldn't let this opportunity slip. Your friends would be upset, probably tell you it was a bad idea and drag you home. That's why you weren't going to tell them the details.
"Where are you? I'm coming to get him." You hear Changbin's sigh of relief from the other side of the phone as he tells you exactly where they are.
You hang up and send a quick text to your friends who are no doubt still dancing up a storm inside the bar. You're brief with them, telling them something came up and you have to run home. You don't wait for their reply, hurrying off to hopefully fix the biggest mistake of your life.
~ ~ ~
"Y/N, thank God you came. He's been out of his mind for hours now," Changbin tells you as you walk up to them. You see Chan sitting on the park bench beside him, and his head whips up at the sound of your name.
Chan's eyes widen at the sight of you. He jumps up, stumbling a bit, but he's able to regain his balance. He's surprisingly quick in making his way over to you.
You can smell the alcohol on him from a few feet away, but you don't pay it any mind as he throws himself at you, his arms heavily hanging over your shoulders. "Y/N," he slurs, "You're here."
He sighs into your neck, his head leaning to rest on your shoulder. Your arms come up around his waist, holding him up. He's not putting all his weight on you, but you still struggle to keep him upright, his drunken state making it hard for him to stand straight.
You look to Changbin, your arms straining around Chan's body. "What should we do?" you ask him. You're not sure what the rest of Changbin's plan was. You come here to see him, then what? Take him home? Send them back on their way? You're not entirely sure which you'd prefer, to be honest.
"I wanna go home with you," Chan whines in response before Changbin has a chance.
"I don't know, Chan, I don't think-" Changbin is quick to cut you off.
"I'll help him to your place." He walks over to you guys, practically ripping Chan off you. He drapes one of Chan's arms over his shoulders, holding up most of his weight.
You stop and think for a moment.
What are you doing!? You can't bring your ex back home! Your tipsy, and he's absolutely wasted. Even if you were to ever reconcile, you certainly didn't want it to be under these circumstances.
"Changbin, I-"
"Nope, this is your mess, and you know you need to fix it." He starts to drag Chan in the direction of your apartment, Chan letting out incoherent babbles along the way.
You're still stood in the same spot, but you rush to catch up to them.
"Excuse me?" you let out in disbelief.
"You heard me," he sasses back, leaning forward to make eye contact with you around Chan's hanging head. "You know what you did wasn't right, and I know you regret it."
Your jaw drops. How did he know this?
"You can't just assume I've wanted to run back to him all this time," you rebut, draping Chan's other arm over your own shoulders to help him walk a little steadier.
"I'm not assuming anything. Your roommate told me. We know you've been just as much of a wreck as he has been."
You scoff but leave it at that. How could you argue when he knew? He knew that you've been struggling ever since, crying day and night. Embarrassment washes over your body, already planning out the conversation you'll have with your roommate about sharing your personal problems with your ex's best friends.
It's silent for a few minutes. You're nearing your complex now, the light from the streetlights dimming, transitioning into the light from your neighbors' porchlights.
"How much did she tell you?" You ask as the three of you approach your front door.
"Enough to know you need this just as much as he does."
~ ~ ~
You unlock your front door, Chan breaking free from Changbin's hold and stumbling into your apartment. You watch from the foyer as he trips over his own two feet, falling onto the couch. You allow your gaze to travel over to Changbin, assured that Chan will be staying in one spot for at least a few minutes.
"You ok?" he asks, his concern for you showing for the first time that night.
While your roommate never made it known to you, the boys had texted her just days after the breakup, asking what had happened. She had explained your side of things to them, and she made them promise not to tell Chan. She didn't want to meddle in your love life like that. As stupid as she thought you were being, it wasn't her place, or his friend's place, to tell him anything.
They agreed not to tell Chan anything, if and only if she agreed to keep them updated on you.
"I'm fine. Yea, this is fine," you rub your hands over your face, trying get rid of the tiredness surely covering your features.
"I'll text you guys tomorrow afternoon," he says, turning to head back to the front door. You follow him, seeing him out.
He steps outside, turning back around and catching the door before you can close it. "I know we sprung this on you, but don't stress out about it. Just do what feels right," and with that he turns and walks down the stairs, not waiting for your reply.
You slowly the close the door, allowing your back to slide down it. You sit on the floor, your elbows resting on your knees, palms holding your head up.
Your heart races knowing who waits for you in your living room. What do you say? Do you wait until morning to hash it out? That would probably be best, but what if he wants to talk about it now?
Heavy footsteps bring you out of your thoughts. Your eyes snap up from the ground, seeing Chan making his way towards you.
He clumsily settles himself in front of you, crossing his legs as he leans back on his arms, his palms resting flat on the floor behind him.
His eyes are glossed over from the alcohol, a lazy smile gracing his lips. "I've missed you."
Your heart flutters at that. You feel the familiar feeling of butterflies in your stomach, and you're not entirely sure how to respond. With the exhaustion from your night's activities taking over your body, all you really want to do is go to sleep. Your mind is not in the right space to have a conversation with him right now.
"What do you want me to say, Chan?" you let out a breathy chuckle, your cheeks flushing pink. As tired as you are, his words still have an affect on you.
"Preferably that you've missed me, too."
"This isn't the right time to have this conversation. You're drunk, and I'm tipsy and exhausted. Let's go to bed, and I promise we'll talk about it in the morning," you tell him, rising to your feet. You reach a hand out to him, offering him help to stand.
His face morphs into a pout, and he holds out his pinky towards you from his spot on the floor. "Promise?" his voice wobbles, tears springing into his eyes. He'd always been an emotional drunk, his vulnerable side surfacing at the mere sight of alcohol.
Pinky promises had always been your thing when you were together. Until this day, neither of you had ever broken one. It was honestly a really important part of your relationship. Your plans would fall through sometimes, or somebody would forget to pick up dinner, but if you guys pinky promised, you knew you could fully trust them. Him remembering this in his drunken state does something to your insides, pulling on your heart strings a bit.
You hesitate, taking your lip in between your teeth, but eventually latch your pinky onto his.
"Pinky promise."
~ ~ ~
"Alright, here's a couple blankets and a pillow. The T.V. remote is right there, and I'll get you a glass of water and some ibuprofen for the morning. Anything else?" You set the bedding onto the couch, smoothing out the sheet you had laid there beforehand.
"Hmmm," he hums, bringing his finger up to his lips, portraying a very exaggerated thinking face. "Will you stay with me?" He tilts his head at you, patting the spot beside him.
"I will not. I will be sleeping in my own bed."
He pouts at that, and you quickly turn away, fearing you won't be able to hold strong if you look at him much longer.
You get ready for bed, making your way around your apartment turning all the lights off. You flip the lights out in the living room, the television providing a soft glow to it's surroundings.
"Goodnight Chan, sleep well." You wait a few seconds for a reply, but all you hear in return is his heavy breathing, small snores escaping his lips every now and again.
~ ~ ~
You're awakened from your slumber at the sound of your door creaking open. Your head jumps off your pillow, abruptly sitting up in bed.
You let your defenses down upon seeing Chan's face, slightly puffy with sleep.
"Do you need something?" you ask softly. You glance beside you at your alarm clock.
4:43 A.M. Way too early to get up.
He doesn't respond, the only noise in the room coming from the sounds of his socks shuffling against your soft carpet. He makes his way to the side of your bed, looking down at you sleepily.
"Chan, go back to bed. It's too early." You roll back over, too tired to play any games so early in the morning.
It's silent for a moment, and you almost allow yourself to fall back to sleep, but you jolt at the feeling of your bedding dipping behind you. Chan pushes up against your back, moving you further away from the edge of the bed.
He slides underneath the covers behind you, his strong arm coming up to wrap around your middle, pulling you closer to him.
He's incredibly warm, and you can't help but cuddle into him further, feeding off the heat his body is providing you.
He lets out a long sigh, his breath blowing up against the back of your head.
You lay there, stiff as a board. Your mind wanders to all the nights spent like this when you were together. How nice it always felt to lay in his arms, comforted and safe. You breathe deeply, inhaling his woodsy scent you've missed all those months.
His breathing has slowed and evened by this point, and you're sure he's fallen back asleep. You do the same just minutes later, unable to resist the invisible pull of your eyelids, shutting them and allowing you to fall asleep once again.
~ ~ ~
You're eyes open and you're met with the bright sunrays coming through your window, making you squint. You feel around behind, the warm body next to you nowhere to be seen, leaving nothing but the cold sheets in his place.
You jump out of bed, scared he may have run off early in the morning. Scrambling, you throw on a hoodie from your floor and hurry out your bedroom door, rushing towards the living room.
You stop in your tracks when you get there, seeing him sitting on your couch, legs crossed over each other on your coffee table.
You stand there another few moments, waiting for him to see you. He turns his body, "Are you just gonna stand there?" he asks, the teasing evident in his voice.
You don't know what to make of all this. He should hate you. He should've left as soon as he felt well enough this morning. You broke his heart for God's sake. You broke his heart into a million pieces, and never even tried to put them back together.
You slowly make your way over to him, sitting beside him on your couch, making sure to leave a safe amount of distance between the two of you.
"Sooo..." you start as he clears his throat. You both laugh, the awkward tension slowly melting.
"You go first," you tell him. You weren't really sure what you were going to say anyway.
"I apologize for last night. From making Changbin call you, to making you take me home, to getting in your bed in the middle of the night. I'm sorry if I crossed boundaries, I mean, I'm sure I did," he looks to you for assurance that it's ok if he keeps going.
You give him a small shoulder shrug. You don't know if he really did cross any boundaries. He obviously didn't make you take him home. If you really didn't want him here, you would've told Changbin yesterday. As persistent as he seemed last night, you know he wouldn't have pushed that hard if you were truly uncomfortable.
"It's ok. I answered the phone call, I brought you here, and I let you in my bed. This goes both ways, and if I wasn't comfortable with it, I wouldn't have let it happen."
His eyes soften at this, his shoulders releasing the visible tension he's been holding there all morning. "Ok, good." He hesitates for a moment, wringing his hands in his lap. "I guess, I just wanna know why, ya know? Why did you end things the way you did?" His eyes meet yours, and it's hard for you to decipher the emotion behind them. Anger, sadness, regret- you're not sure. You're pretty sure they're all present to some degree.
You pretend to think, although you know in your heart you don't have to. You know exactly why you ended; if only you'd let him in on it a little sooner, it probably would've saved him a lot of heartache.
"I was overwhelmed," you pause for a moment, and he nods his head, encouraging you to keep going. "I had so much going on, school was hectic, my job had my head all over the place, and I felt like what I had left to give you just wasn't enough."
He doesn't say anything for a few moments, his eyes glued to his hands. "You could've just talked to me about it. I would've understood, and we could've figured it out." His voice comes out weak, like I've struck a nerve that was never meant to be touched, let alone toyed with and tore.
"That was exactly what I was scared of. I really thought that what I was doing was what was best for both of us."
"You don't get to make that call, Y/N," his words come out strong, his eyes finally meeting yours. "I loved you, and I still love you," he scoffs, "Can you believe that? After all the hell you put me through, I still love you." He gets up from the couch and begins to lightly pace in front of the T.V.
He runs hands through his hair, brushing it back from his eyes. Tears well up in yours, and you quickly wipe them before they even get the chance to fall. You don't deserve to cry. You did this to him.
"I'm so sorry," you choke out. "I regret it. I regret it all. I can't imagine how much I hurt you, but I know I did, deeply. I want to make sure you know that it wasn't easy for me, either. I haven't been myself all these months. I stopped going to my classes, and last night was the first night I'd gone out in months."
He stops his pacing, standing right in front of you. He just stares, and your emotions run wild when you can't decipher how he's feeling.
"I'm so sorry," the tears you tried to keep at bay flow freely down your face now, "If I'd have known what it would do to both of us, I would never have done it. It was a stupid, spur of the moment decision, and I felt like I had control. If I had the control, everything would be ok," your words break through your sobs, "but it wasn't ok, and I'm so, so sorry!" Your hands cover your eyes, your head bowing to your knees to hide your grief-stricken face.
He still stands there, in the same spot, just staring. You're too overwhelmed by your own guilt to notice him moving closer to you at a feverish pace.
He rips your hands from your face, pulling your wrist until you're standing in front of him. He forcefully grabs your jaw, bringing his lips to yours. The kiss is short, but you've never known such passion could be passed on through a kiss.
All the pent up anxiety and guilt melts between the two of you, your emotions mixing together like sugar and water, dissolving between the two of you until they're one.
He pulls back, his breathing quick. "I've been wanting to do that for so long."
You look at him, shock prominent on your face. "How can you do this?"
His eyes widen, scared he's crossed the line yet again. "What?" he stutters.
"Why don't you hate me? I expected you to yell at me, maybe even call me a few names. Why are you standing in my living room kissing me like all this never happened?"
"I could never hate you," his fingers run along your jaw before settling softly on your cheek. "As much as I’ve wanted to these last few months, just to help myself get over you, I could never. I've been going crazy without you."
"How could you forgive me, just like that?" You're confusion seeps through your tone.
"Because you're perfect. We all make mistakes, and I've had months to deal with this one. Now, knowing why you did it makes it all the easier."
You still just stare at him, almost expecting him to say "Just kidding", laugh in your face, and run out the door.
But he doesn't. He's still standing in front of you, holding your face so gently that you can barely feel his calloused hand, his fingers gently caressing your cheek.
"I know this is a lot, and maybe I'm crazy, but do you want to start over?"
Your confusion becomes more evident, your brows furrowing lightly.
"Let's redo all our firsts. Our first date, our first kiss, our first 'I love you'. I'm willing to move past this if you are."
His eyes are filled with hope, sparkling in the light coming in from the window.
"I don't know Chan..." you trail off, "I'm not sure I can ever forgive myself. I hate what I did to you, and I've hated myself ever since because of it. I don't know how to come to terms with your forgiveness when I don't deserve it."
"We can work through it together. I will be there with you every step of the way. I promise, pinky promise," he's persistent, his pinky reaching out towards yours.
You stare at his hand, remembering how nicely your hands fit together. That's how everything feels with Chan. Your body has always fit perfectly with his, your personalities meshing like nothing you've ever experienced before.
"So what do you say?" your gaze raises until it meets his, and you realize you'll never be able to say no to those eyes. "Will you go on a date with me?" His smile widens, his pearly teeth on full display.
"I think- I think I'd like that a lot."

Meet cute with lumberjack logan at a Christmas tree farm
Based heavily on the other day when I went Christmas tree shopping and got a big one with some real girth to it and the Christmas tree guy threw it over his shoulder with a big old smile on his face and carried it all the way to the car by himself and so I started writing this as SOON as I got home. I'm also probably gonna write this same idea but like an established relationship where the reader brings Logan lunch for his lunch break and sees him unloading and throwing around some trees and they freak in the car or something. I don't know what it is but I fear the idea of men carrying heavy things is just so attractive to me.
Warnings: Probably cheesy but idgaf, no smut for this one my darlings I'm sorry... but my next one is from a delicious request one of you beautiful people sent in and it's 😏 .
Very much unedited but I don't think there's any major mistakes, please lmk if I did
Also yes I know the formatting is weird, I don't know why it was double-spacing my paragraphs I tried to copy and paste the whole thing all at once but it kept saying "There's a 4096-text-characters-per-block limit." and then it wouldn't let me save it so I did my best with formating.
Word Count: 2k
It was usually a tradition that my best friend and I go tree hunting together, but due to her horrible boss calling them into work, finding a Christmas tree fell to me alone, and I was determined to find the perfect tree. Driving around to a few different major stores and finding nothing good, I decided to go to a local Christmas tree lot. Following the GPS on my phone, I turned onto this long dirt road leading to a small clearing in an area of trees. A large sign and blow-up Santa is standing at the entrance of the parking lot greeting me. I gnaw on my bottom lip watching a family walking back to the car, the dad grunting as he carries the tree, two kids running around his legs excitedly. I smile at the sight before looking away my eyes roving the parking lot for an empty spot. Finally finding one I pull into the parking spot, putting the car in park and grabbing my purse. Climbing out of the car my phone starts ringing in my back pocket, I pull it out, the contact photo of my best friend's face flashing across the screen, and I swipe my thumb across the screen raising it up to my ear.
“Hello?” I chirp, locking my car and making my way to the tree lot.
“Hey did you get the tree yet?” She asks, the keys of her computer keyboard clicking in the background.
“No not yet, I’m at the fourth tree lot today decided to go to a local one” I shrug, entering the lot my eyes greeted by the quiet chattering of children, the smell of fresh pine needles wafting through the air.
“A local tree farm? They’ll probably be a bit more expensive than the other trees we looked at” She murmurs
“Yeah but these look fresher” I chuckle brushing my hands over the branches my fingers coming away damp with water droplets.
“Alright fair enough, just pick a good one” I can hear the smile in her voice. “Oh shit, okay gotta go managers coming” She whispers hastily ending the call. I let out a quiet laugh, making my way through the thick brush of taller trees, looking for where they keep the smaller ones. Kids race past me shouting after each other, their tired parents following along behind them, desperately trying to corral their kids. I keep walking along scooting between the trees until I get to a small area near the back of the tree farm, the shorter trees being kept underneath a red and white striped canopy.
“Here we are” I mumble softly to myself weaving between the trees, circling them slowly admiring them trying to find the best one.
“There something I can help you with Sweetheart?” A gruff voice speaks up from behind me making me jump slightly. The smell of pine needles mixed with a rough earthy cologne becoming stronger as I feel the stranger's presence move in close behind me “Sorry didn’t mean to scare ya” The voice chuckles a deep rumbling sound in his chest, I turn around coming face to chest with what I think is the most handsome man I’ve ever seen. I tilt my head up slightly letting my eyes settle on his face, the way his thick beard is peppering, hairs of white sprinkled throughout the brown. I peel my eyes away from his gorgeous life-roughened face, and charming smile letting them roam his figure. Taking in the way his plaid shirt is tucked nicely into his jeans, sleeves rolled up past his elbows, the fabric hugging tight to his arms the muscles in his arms flexing as he crosses them over his chest, His broad shoulders and bulging arms make him seem more closely related to a wall than a man.
“Oh it’s alright, I just didn’t see you coming” I chuckle lightly putting my hand over my chest to try and calm my racing heart. “Well, I’m looking for a tree” I smile up at him squashing down the bundle of nerves in my stomach. He glances around at the trees surrounding us.
“I figured that much” he says teasingly, and I feel an embarrassed heat spread up my neck.
“Oh, well I guess that's obvious” I chuckle, and he nods.
“What kind are you interested in? We’ve got some pine, firs, spruce…” He points to various trees and my eyes widen slightly.
“I didn’t realize there were so many kinds,” I say softly, looking at the trees he pointed at rattling their names off the top of his head.
“psh, oh yeah, We’ve got tons of different kinds, gets a little overwhelming at times” He smiles down at me and my heart stutters in my chest. “I didn’t even introduce myself, I’m Logan, and ’ll be happy to help you pick out the perfect one” he grins holding out his hand for me to shake, I look down at his hand noticing no wedding ring, much to my delight. I reach out shaking his hand, which easily envelops mine. His hand is rough from the work of a blue-collar job, and I briefly wonder what else his hands can do. I quickly squash the thought returning my attention to his introduction.
“Nice to meet you, I’m (Y/n)” I say cringing as my voice comes out a breathless whisper.
“so let's see first how tall are your ceilings,” He asks slowly pulling his hand away from mine, resting them on his hips adjusting his belt, glancing out at the sea of trees in front of us.
“Oh shit um I don’t know” I shrug nervously, “average height I think?” I smile a little as he nods.
“It’s alright if you don’t know, most people don’t” He chuckles, and I let out a breath letting myself loosen up in his presence. “Let’s get you over to the shorter trees just to be safe” He smiles resting his hand gently on my shoulder and leading me to the shorter trees, I tense up under his touch, the warmth of his touch sending butterflies exploding in my stomach “Now.. these over here are the 7-foot trees, they’ll be the best size for rooms with average ceiling height” I nod along to his words, “now let's see what kind of tree we can get cha” He murmurs taking a step back eying me up and down in a way that makes my pulse race and my cheeks heat up “You look like a classy kind of gal, so let's get you a classy kind of tree” He points to the back corner of the tree tent, where a group of similar looking trees are displayed. “Douglas fir, Classic tree for a classic kind of girl” he takes a few steps towards the group of trees, his hand falling to rest in the dip of my back, pushing me gently towards the trees.
“Oh these are nice” I smile taking a look at the trees, pine needles a rich dark green, still damp from when they were last watered.
“Oh yeah, nice pine smell sure to make your house smell like a forest,” He says launching into what I assume is his usual selling script, giving a deep inhale, I copy him getting a big whiff of not just the pine trees around me but the smell of Logan’s cologne as well. “Strong branches too, they’ll hold even your heaviest ornaments,” He says removing his hand from my back and standing next to one of the trees, my eyes widen as I realize the tree is only a little bit taller than the hulking man in front of me. “Yeah look at her perfect, nice and tall at the top for your tree topper, no empty spots you’ll have to hide with lights and ornaments or turn to face the wall to hide from visitors” He says examining the tree next to him.
“Laying on the salesman charm a little thick aren’t you” I tease lightly, and he freezes in his steps.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about” He crosses his arms over his chest and I’m sure he notices the way my eyes follow the movements, as he subtly flexes the muscles in his arms. “I just really like trees” he shrugs cracking a smile. “Besides I’ve gotta make sure the prettiest customer here finds the perfect tree” His voice lowers huskily, and I turn away under the pretense of admiring the tree to hide the smile that creeps on my face, forcing myself to relax. He’s just trying to sell me a tree, he’s not flirting. I scold myself mentally, pretending to eye up the tree. “So what do you think?” He asks with the same husky tone. “Pretty handsome tree huh?” My eyes flicker back to him briefly as I nod.
“Yeah it’s a pretty good tree” I murmur clearing my throat and looking back at the tree he’d picked out for me. he grins at my words.
“I’ll take it” I smile, and he nods.
“Sounds good” He smiles reaching up and pulling the tag off the tree. He walks me over to a tent set up in the middle of the tree lot where an older man is standing behind the counter muttering curses under his breath as he fumbles with some twine. “Hey Gary, this pretty little lady here is gonna buy one of our Douglas” Logan says throwing me a wink, and I reach my hand up hiding my smile as Gary rolls his eyes.
“Then go get the tree” Gary grunts snatching the tag from Logan's hand and scanning it, I look at Logan and he shrugs giving me a small wave before retreating in the direction where my tree is. Gary grumbles under his breath before telling me the price of the tree taking my card from my outstretched hand, he swipes it and I hear Logan's loud grunts in the distance as he walks into view carrying the tree towards the netting machine. He lays it down on the machine trunk first pushing it through, the netting wrapping tight to the tree folding up the branches and pulling them close to the trunk of the tree. He pulls the wrapped-up tree out the other end of the machine laying it up against the side of the machine. “So you got someone around here to help you get this to the car?” Gary asks, and I see Logan's head swivel to face us, his eyes sparkling with what looks like interest. “Well?” Gary grumbles impatiently.
“Well uh no” I say softly, my eyebrow furrowing, “my friend was supposed to come with me to get the tree but she had to work” I explain chuckling awkwardly at Gary's stern look.
“Hmm,” He grunts, snapping his fingers, “Logan!” He barks and Logan makes his way over to us. “Take her tree to the car for her” he huffs, and Logan gives him a playful salute walking to the netting machine, bending down and throwing my tree over his shoulder with a few coarse grunts. My eyes widen as he hoists the tree up onto his shoulder standing up straight, the muscles in his arms flexing as he holds onto the tree. My eyes eagerly follow his movements as he comes towards me.
“Where too?” He grunts, barely struggling under the weight of the tree.
“Oh uh, my cars that way” I say softly, and he nods leading the way in the direction that I pointed to, and I trail along behind him watching him carry the tree to my car. I speed up catching up to him. “That one over there” I say pointing to my car.
“Got it” He grunts lowly, changing direction slightly till he’s walking directly towards my car. I run ahead unlocking it and opening the driver's door leaning in and dropping my purse in the passenger seat, exchanging it for the ropes and blanket I’d brought with me to tie the tree to the roof of the car. I turn the car on rolling down the windows slightly. I take the ropes and blanket over to where Logan is waiting, keeping the tree standing next to him. I throw the blanket over the car so the tree won’t scratch my paint.
“Ready?” He asks and I nod.
“Yeah!” I chirp and on my signal he lifts the tree back onto his shoulder, grunting as he raises it off his shoulder sliding it on the top of my car. He sets it down on my roof with little struggle. I find my mind wandering to what else he could lift with those arms, but I force myself to focus as he speaks.
“There we go” He pants slightly breathless from throwing the tree on top of my car. He lifts his shirt untucking it to wipe the sweat off his face and I get a glimpse of the skin underneath. A little drool trickles out my mouth at the sight of his tight abs glistening with sweat, a course happy trail of hair disappearing down under the waistline of his jeans. I quickly turn my head reminding myself it’s improper to gawk at strangers, only looking back at him when he speaks up again. “Toss me some rope” He murmurs and I obey quickly, he makes quick work winding the ropes through the open windows, tying the tree securely to my car roof. He tugs on the rope ensuring they’re secure. He dusts off his hands, turning away from my car to look at me. “So you got someone at home to help you get this thing in the house?” He asks his arm resting atop my car casually. I check the time on my phone, and I shrug.
“I think my friend should be home soon, between the two of us we should be able to get it in the house alright” I tuck my phone back into my back pocket, and he nods.
“Just you and your friend huh? No boyfriend to help you?” He says the implication of his words not lost on me.
“Nope… just my friend and I,” I say smiling up at him.
“Well a pretty thing like you shouldn’t be doing any heavy lifting” He shrugs casually, “I’m off in about an hour if you want some help taking it in,” He says slowly his fingers tapping rhythmically on the roof of my car.
“Oh no I wouldn’t want to inconvenience you” I giggle softly hiding the smile on my face.
“No no I insist, customer service is my top priority” He chuckles.
“Well, I suppose if you insist” I giggle softly, and he holds his palm out for my phone. “I’d appreciate any help I can get” I pass him my phone and he takes it brushing his fingers against mine, I watch him type his number into my phone and then call his own, the low buzzing in his pocket signalling the call went through.
“Alright I’ll let you know when I’m off” He grins standing up and shoving his hands in his pockets, I nod almost too eagerly.
“Okay sounds good” I grin.
“And well, maybe after we take care of your tree, you’d be interested in completing a customer service survey… say over dinner,” He asks, and a bright smile crosses my face.
“Dinner?” I ask hesitantly.
“Oh yeah just to make sure I provided the best service I could” He says teasingly.
“Oh of course, well in that case, dinner sounds great” I grin, and he lets out what looks like a sigh of relief.
“Alright, I’ll uh give you a call later” He grins, turning around as he hears Gary calling for him in the distance.
“I’ll be waiting” I giggle waving at his retreating figure, one he’s out of the side I climb in the car and call my friend.
“Hey, you get the tree?” She asks.
“Fuck the tree I got a date!” I squeal and she gasps.
“Tell me everything!” She laughs, and I launch into my story, starting the car and pulling out the tree lot.

y/n’s perspective
I don't understand why Jake would want to know how it feels. Seeing someone hurt should give him an idea… He even wanted to keep it a secret, but why?
I wonder if K already gave it to him… if he drank it knowing what it was.
“Why are you so lost in your own head love?” I heard and smiled. “Just tired, Won,” I said and he chuckled. “Too tired even for me?” he teased and I smiled at him. He really was the best. “No, never for any of you,” I said and he smiled while kissing my forehead.
“Jay is busy today, so he wanted me to tell you to eat at the cafeteria today,” he said and I nodded. “Are you gonna join me?” I asked and he chuckled. “I would, but I need to get my dinner at the cafeteria so I’d rather not let you wait,” he said and I nodded.
It's been a while since I've eaten dinner by myself. Eunchae and Wonyoung are busy with after-school activities today. “Don’t miss me too much,” he said while speeding away.
I packed up my stuff and decided to go to the cafeteria.
While we could make our own food and eat at the cafeteria, we couldn’t get other foods made for different species. That's a concrete rule… humans have a specific process of checking food, it's quite similar to witches but our food has more nutrients for our energy in magic. Whilst werewolves consisted of a lot of meat… sometimes rare. Of course, vampires have blood bags and blood-infused food.
Wait… if Jay was busy today, what was Jake gonna eat?
“I need help” I heard and I immediately got scared of the man behind me… speaking of the devil. “I know it's not your ideal way to spend the end of the day, but if I can't stomach a blood bag I won't be able to eat any of the cafeteria food,” he said and I nodded.
“Why don’t you go into the city?” I asked and he shook his head. “The humans know I'm a vampire… It's on my uniform. They'll refuse to serve me. Why would a vampire go to a human-owned restaurant alone?” he asked and he proved a point. There was a lot of fear when it came to humans… some trusted witches and werewolves but when it came to other supernatural creatures like vampires… not so much.
“Well… I could go with you? We could go to the witch area, there's food you can eat as a human '' I said and his eyes lit up and he grabbed my shoulders making me freeze. “Thank you! You’re a lifesaver!” he said as he let me go… I tried to calm down my over beating heart, but it wasn’t like he could hear it with the effects of the potion.
“Do you need time to get ready?” I asked and he shook his head. “No… I just want food” he said and I understood he must be feeling an overwhelming amount of saturation.
“Lets go wait  for the bus then”

jake’s perspective
I was happy she was true to her word and was willing to help me.
We finally got out of the bus that took us to the nearest city. It had a lot of different species-owned shops and restaurants. While shops were okay, restaurants were hard since vampires primarily drink blood scaring humans when they go in saying they're hungry.
“This is a human and witch-infused place. I hope you can find something you can eat” she said and I nod hoping it was true. “Jake?” I heard and I saw a she-devil. I hid behind y/n who looked at me confused.
“Jake, you should not be hiding behind the poor girl” she scolded and she smiled at the y/n who put her hand out. “Hello, if you know Jake you must know my brother Heeseung '' she said and I could see the shocked expression on her face. “I’m sorry for those idiots, they’ve always been that way,” she said and I scoffed.
“But you’re a witch and Heeseung–” “Is a vampire? The only vampires born from them are Sunghoon, Jake, and Niki the rest were turned. Heeseung was actually a witch” she explained.
“That's a long story though!” she said and I scoffed…
“Oh, it's nice to meet you,” she said, causing the she-devil to smile. “Be careful, Jake. Being human is a lot harder than you think” she said, seeing right through me. “How’d you know?” I asked as I stopped hiding. “I’m a witch… of course, I'd know, '' she said. “Besides any idiot could feel the magic radiating off of you” I heard as I now saw Vernon-hyung. “Oh, uhm she’s actually in HYBE Academy '' I explained and her eyes lit up. “I want to go into HYBE Academy when I graduate!” she said with an excitement I hadn't seen before.
“Oh? Maybe you’ll be my junior!” she said and y/n smiled. “We should get going now, your mates are waiting for you” I heard as I saw Jeonghan also.
“Mates? I didn’t know you found your mates yet?!” I said and she chuckled. “Neither do they,” she said and I should've guessed. From what Heeseung explained she knew who her mates were before even meeting them.
“Bye! I would love to see you again y/n!” she said as she left. “I didn’t know he had a sister, '' she said and I nodded. “She’s evil,” I said and she laughed. “She seems nice…” she said and I nodded. “Nicer than Heeseung at least but those two are the worst. Now can we order?” I asked and her eyes widened.
“Oh! You’re right, uhm here” she said while showing me the menu. “Oh, Rabokki sounds good!” I said and she smiled. “Let's go order then,” she said and I put down the menu as we got in line. “Are you not gonna get anything?” I asked and she hummed. “I was thinking of getting the same thing actually,” she said and I chuckled. “We could just order a big one and share?” I suggested. “Are you sure?” she asked and I nodded.
“I’ll pay by the way… as a thank you for doing this for me”
Tumblr media
y/n’s perspective
My time with Jake was… nice.
He was actually really funny and sweet so I felt comfortable around him. Even meeting Heeseung’s sister was shocking, but the evening was good despite my other soulmates being busy.
“I’m so full!” he said as he yawned. “Why am I so sleepy?” he asked and I chuckled. “Because human food fills you so much that it just makes you tired. Unlike other species they don’t use anything to give extra energy to their food” I explained and he nodded.
“Being a human… it's weird” he said and I was curious. “How does being a witch feel?” he asked, making me laugh. “I know it sounds weird,” he mutters softly with a smile. He was...
No, he likes Sooha, not me.
“Well, I almost have excessive energy that I need to release. Witches need to do magic to not only be healthy but practice” I explained and he nodded.
“Vampires just have an excessive thirst,” he said and I nodded. “Does it make you uncomfortable with… you know eating with your mates?” he asked and I shook my head.
“It's a natural thing, none of it bothers me,” I said and he nodded. “Being around you… is overwhelming” he said and it confused me. “Not right now! Just… as a vampire. I’m not the best with control so you constantly smell like blood” he said and I felt my eyes widen in shock.
“I need to work on my control… control plus heavy emotions lead me to do horrible things. I’m sorry for that” he explained and I now knew it wasn’t really his fault.
He probably was defending Sooha… but he didn’t mean to hurt me. “I still don’t know how it feels to be hurt. But I wanted to explain that” he said and I nodded. “Sorry for not hearing you out,” I said and he shook his head.
“I don’t blame you”

jake’s perspective
I dropped her off at her dorm when I left the school again. I went to the plains to test it out.
I took a deep breath and summoned my fire. It was warm… then it turned hot and then turned unbearable. I couldn’t even control the scream that I let out.
“That pain you feel right now… remember it. It was only a fraction of what you did to her” I heard as I saw Heeseung? “Asking her for a potion to make yourself human? What were you thinking?” he asked as I could only feel my vision get blurry.
The burns hurt… the smell of burning flesh even made me gag.
“You’ve hurt countless people, you're under a rehabilitation program Jake. You're supposed to learn not to be a monster and yet you do monstrous things” he said and it was true.
There were vampires like him… who were made and are taught how to control whilst there's one like me who has killed and needed to be taught morals.
“I get it… I’m still a monster”

Camp Wiegman - Part 4
Ona Batlle x Lucy Bronze

———————————————————————
Monday, October 12; 9:20 AM - In Class
Exactly one week ago, I left Barcelona to join this school. I am slowly getting used to this new environment, even though it's not easy every day. Right now, I'm in my second hour of class, chatting quietly with Alexia. She is no longer as uptight and serious as she was at the beginning. We laugh and talk a lot. It's become a bad habit since we tend to lose focus on the lessons and get scolded by our teachers. Our laughter mingles with the sound of footsteps echoing in the hallway. The thick walls pick up every sound when the door is open. No one pays attention until there's a knock at the door. Silence reigns, except for my laughter, which I can't suppress. This earns me a stern look from my teacher, who walks towards the door to invite the unknown visitor in. He wouldn't have needed to bother when I see that it is my furious supervisor. Everyone shrinks back as she visually scans the room until she locks eyes with me. Her eyes narrow and turn black with anger. Alexia has to nudge me to stop my hysterical laughter.
“Sorry for the interruption, Mr. Smith,” she begins without averting her eyes. “I just need to take a student who won’t be returning for the rest of the day. Could you inform your colleagues?”
“Oh, uh... Yes, of course, Miss Bronze.”
Even my teacher is intimidated by her. Pathetic. I understand better why my reputation has skyrocketed in just one week. Most people already know me as the brave student who dares to stand up to the commander. I am tired of this charade. I look to my neighbor for support, but she seems paralyzed by what’s happening. She recoils when Bronze slams her flat hands on my desk, making me jump. Our faces are just inches apart when I turn my head towards her.
“Hey!” I exclaim indignantly. “Be careful with the school property, come on!”
“Shut up, Ona. Just shut up if you don’t want to make me even angrier,” she threatens. “Pack your things. Now!”
She’s really fired up today! I’ve never seen her this angry or heard her use such a disdainful tone. I smile as I gather my things. I must not have been quick enough for her because she grabs my bag from the floor and starts packing my notebook herself while I collect my pens in my pencil case. I barely have time to close it before she snatches it from my hands and throws it into the bag. She shoves it against my chest so hard that my chair slides back from the impact.
“I hope you're ready because I won't spare you today. Move it, let's go.”
I barely have time to put on my camo jacket and sling my bag over my shoulder before she pushes me down the aisle to lead the way. I don’t resist and, more importantly, I don’t talk back. I barely dare to when she’s calm, so doing it now would be like challenging the devil himself. I’ve spent enough time with her last week to know her coldness and strength. I clearly don’t measure up, mentally or physically. I wait in the hallway while she apologizes for the disruption to my teacher. When she rejoins me, I instinctively lower my head to avoid her eyes. I might have pulled off the best trick of my life, but facing her imposing presence, I already dread what’s coming next.
“I dont know how you managed to do what you did, but you’re in deep trouble!” she scolds.
The thought of denying it crosses my mind, but it wouldn’t help. My silence prompts her to pull my arm to move forward. She still holds me the same way, but this is the first time she’s hurt me this much. She’s really furious. I struggle to keep up with her pace. I say nothing, fearing she might speed up if I complain... But then, damn it, I shouldn’t just take it!
“It’s not like I didn’t warn you that I’d get revenge.”
She stops abruptly, making me instinctively step back after bumping into her. I regret my words the second her icy green eyes pierce through me. I swallow hard.
“You’re really just a poor idiot!” she spits. “You don’t understand anything! You want to play the one who’ll face the worst revenge? Fine, let’s play then! Now I don’t want to hear a word from you until I say so!”
My eyes widen in surprise. I already regret my unnecessary provocation. We reach the first floor of the instructors' dorms. She releases her painful grip only when we arrive at room 7. She roughly pushes me into the room I’ve recently become familiar with. I barely avoid falling headfirst due to her strength. It seems I deserve it now that I see the state of her place. Her room has the same furniture as mine. The only difference is the layout. She has a double bed – which looks more comfortable than my single bed – and her wardrobe stands next to the window. As for the desk, it’s on the opposite side.
“You’re going to tidy up this mess!” she exclaims. “I want everything back in its place! Not a single thing out of order, understood?”
“Don’t you like your new room? I think it’s pretty nice.”
“Don’t push me, Batlle. You don’t even realize what a slippery slope you’re on.”
Oh, I realize it, but it’s worth it. It’s all her fault. I warned her I would get revenge for what she made me endure.
“You shouldn’t have taken my phone and computer!” I retorted.
“And you shouldn’t have disrespected your superiors!” she raises her voice. “Clean up this mess!”
She drags the desk chair to the entrance and sits down. I watch her for a moment, quickly understanding that she will stay here until I finish. I sigh as I assess the extent of the damage. Her anger is justified, but so is mine. I rummaged through her stuff as much as she did through mine to find my hidden electronics. I am proud of my revenge idea.
Our relationship has deteriorated since the shower incident. She hasn't stopped punishing me for the slightest infraction. The first was for being late to my sports class on Thursday morning. As expected, I was sent to Bronze's office. Her decision was radical... I had two hours of personal training doing laps around the field.
Add to that my morning delays, which my bed continues to cause. For that, I got dishwashing duties in the cafeteria on Thursday and Friday after every meal. The upside was being assisted by Leah, who received the same punishment from Engen, Bronze's partner, for skipping classes. Time passed faster. We even ended our last day with a water fight that Bronze interrupted. I thought we would extend our punishment, but in the end, she just scolded us for being soaked and told us to clean up our mess.
I accepted all of this without complaint because it was expected. What I couldn't tolerate was her confiscating all my electronics behind my back just before the weekend. It didn’t take me long to notice and tell her what I thought. She justified her action by keeping her cool. It turns out she had learned about my inattentive and provocative behavior in class. She wanted to make me reflect over the weekend when my outing pass was denied. However, my cheekiness made her change her mind, and she decided to return my things at an unspecified time, more precisely when I had calmed down, according to her.
Because of her, I was irritated all weekend to the point of conducting my little investigation during her absence. My first idea was to find her room to recover my belongings. The problem was, I found nothing while searching it. I then changed my plans, not wanting to waste the opportunity. I knew it would drive her crazy to know I was here, so I emptied her wardrobe and all her drawers, scattering everything around. Surprisingly, I discovered nothing valuable. I expected her to look for me earlier this morning, but she must have been absent since it was Engen who checked our room. It’s a shame because Bronze missed my first-ever achievement of being ready on time. It takes me a good hour to finish cleaning her room. I intended to collapse onto the desk, but she stops me in my tracks.
“Uh-uh. Change the sheets on my bed while you’re at it.”
“You’re kidding?”
“Do I look like I’m joking?”
“I’m sorry, OK?” I grumble. “I get it, I crossed the line! I just wanted to get my laptop and phone back!”
“You don’t get it at all,” she says in a dismissive tone. “You’re just trying to weasel your way out. If you really understood the lesson, you wouldn’t be talking back!”
I stay silent, faced with the truth. Her words won’t make me regret my actions. I step back as she gets up from her chair. I expected her to do something, but she just walks past me to get new sheets. So she wasn’t joking. I don’t hide my boredom.
“Come on, make my bed,” she encourages. “Then we’ll leave.”
“Again?” I sigh.
“You’re mine for the day. I plan to make you endure things that will make you think twice before pulling your next stunt.”
I go to her to get a sports uniform that she hands me. It's a new one that she must have picked up from the stock. I lock myself in her bathroom, a room I hadn't even thought to check. It's newer than mine. It has a sink with a larger countertop and a big mirror. My small shower cubicle doesn't compare to her huge walk-in shower behind the toilet. I stop making comparisons and place the clothes I'm wearing next to her sink to replace them with sweatpants, a t-shirt, and my jacket. I might need it if we stay outside. I don't linger and rejoin Bronze, who hasn't moved from her spot since earlier.
"What should I do with my uniform?" I asked.
"Where did you put it?"
"Folded next to the sink."
"Leave it there; you'll put it back on later."
I nodded, and she jumped off her desk. We headed out to the multi-sport fields. I didn’t wait for her orders to go to the edge of the field, ready to run. Her grip finally stopped me.
"We’re not starting with that today. First, you’re going to do fifty push-ups," she ordered.
"What? But there’s mud everywhere!"
"So what? At least next time, you’ll remember not to mess with me."
"Please-"
"No, Ona. Stop arguing! I’m already very patient with you, so don’t ask me to be even more patient because it’s not possible!"
"I can't do them..." I finally admitted in a whisper.
"Pardon?"
"I’ve never managed to do them," I said louder, avoiding her eyes.
"Well, you’re going to learn now. Come on, get on the ground, I'll help you."
I sighed but obeyed, looking for a spot with less mud. I could only blame myself for this punishment. My knees weren’t spared, but at least I avoided stains on other parts. I fell onto my hands and extended my legs to stay elevated. It was hard to hold. Even more so when I felt my supervisor's hands on my waist. I tensed, but I held on to avoid making her pull back immediately.
"Relax. I just want to position you correctly, okay?" she said.
I nodded at her explanation. I tried to relax, but it was hard. Her presence was unsettling. One of her hands slid under my belly while the other was on my shoulder to straighten me up.
"Don’t move your back. I’m going to reposition your legs, so try to hold your position."
She unexpectedly grabbed one of my ankles. My body reacted by keeping it on the ground. Again, she asked me to let go. Once I did, she brought my ankle closer to the other until they were almost touching. When she announced I was good, my arms gave out. I ended up flat on my stomach in the mud, growling in frustration.
"It’s okay. You’re just not used to working your arms," she explained. "Try to get back into position like I just showed you."
I nodded and got back on my hands and feet. My position must have been correct since she didn’t have to adjust much. Just my back, which was rounded again.
"Do them with motivation. I’d like you to find a regular rhythm if possible."
"It’s going to be hard," I mumbled.
"That’s the point. I want you to feel your body heating up tomorrow and think of me, remembering why I made you do this."
"I get the lesson, Bronze," I tried.
"No, you don’t. Do something like this again, and it’s going to be worse for you. It won’t just be push-ups and laps around the field next time. Do we agree?"
"Yes..."
Throughout this, I was still holding myself up on my arms. They started to shake from lack of strength. Bronze was no longer angry, but her voice remained firm. She wanted me to submit, and she was getting it. I was at her feet in every sense of the word. I was on the verge of giving up, but she ordered me to hold on. I really had to dig deep mentally to manage it.
"I want you to understand that if I give you a sanction, it’s not for my pleasure. Every punishment has its reasons."
"I understand..."
"No, not yet," she replied. "But it will come."
"I’m telling you I un-"
"I said no," she cut me off harshly. "Do you understand that I’m not against you?"
My silence spoke volumes about my thoughts. No, that I didn’t understand. To me, she was holding me back, so she was against me. I just wanted to be left alone and live my life. Bronze did the opposite by always coming down on me.
"Then you don’t understand," she concluded. "You’ll understand the meaning of your sanctions when you accept that I’m not the villain. Anyway, let’s get back to where we were. Start your push-ups. You’ll even count them out loud for me. I’ll reduce them to thirty since it’s your first time. Okay?"
"Yes, Bronze."
"Let’s go. One!"
I groaned at the sound of the first number. I bent my arms and pushed to try and lift myself. In vain. I fell pitifully to the ground. If I had been in Bronze’s place, I would have laughed at myself, but she didn’t. Instead, she encouraged me to try again with more effort. I’d like to see her try! If she had my body, she’d understand my struggle. I didn’t doubt hers was very athletic. I tried again, putting all my strength into it. I shouted the number in a victorious cry when I managed the push-up. I was back on the ground the next second. I felt my morning was going to be very long...
Monday, October 12; 1:10 p.m. - Bathroom.
I was washing my hands for the second time to remove the dried mud that was hard to get off. The sky had been clear this morning, but yesterday’s rain hadn’t spared me. I had just finished my punishment. Bronze was leaning against the sink next to me, watching me with a mocking smile. I didn’t see what was funny. I was covered in mud, both my clothes and the few inches of visible skin. Don’t even mention my face. I had fallen countless times during the push-ups. My record was probably three in a row.
"Are you okay?" she asked cheerfully. "Let me help you."
"No, it’s fine."
"Oh, stop being a killjoy and let me help."
She tore off a piece of paper towel meant for drying hands and wet it. I tried to take it, but she slapped my fingers. I realized too late that she had trapped me between the faucet and her. I grumbled as she wiped the wet paper on my face.
"I could have done it."
"I’m trying to be nice; can’t you tell?"
I smiled slightly, averting my eyes. I let her continue, crossing my arms. She might be nice in real life, but not with me.
"Stop pouting."
"I’ll pout if I want to."
"Child."
I looked at her indignantly. I doubted an instructor had the right to insult a student. She probably allowed herself because it was unlikely anyone would believe me if I reported her.
"I give myself every right with you, and you’re probably right. No one would believe you."
"Did I speak out loud?"
"It seems so," she smiled. "Don’t move; I’ll be right back."
It was hard to leave with my face dripping water. She got another paper towel to dry my face before throwing it away. I looked in the mirror to admire her work. I thanked her as she washed her hands. I would have liked to change before eating, but Bronze had made it clear it wasn’t possible if we still wanted to be served. It would be the last straw if we couldn’t eat when she planned to keep me this afternoon. I wouldn’t last without something in my stomach. We arrived at an empty cafeteria. Fortunately, the cook offered to reheat a meal for each of us. He probably felt sorry for my appearance. I went first in line and greeted the staff I had recently worked with. They were all super nice. Once served, I went to my usual spot among all the empty tables. I flopped down on my chair, taking a deep breath. This break would finally let me relax. The soreness was already setting in. At the same time, she hadn’t gone easy on me. She had pushed me to the limit, though she admitted holding back. It was a good lesson. I wasn’t going to anger her anytime soon.
"Can I sit?"
I swallowed my bite with difficulty, nodding. I hadn’t expected her to join me. After all, it was just the two of us. It would be ridiculous to eat at two different tables. My break would be less restful than I had imagined.
"I’m here if you ever feel the need to talk," she said, surprising me.
I look up at her two emeralds that disturb me so much. She shows no hint of joking. This isn't the first time she's told me she wants to help. It seems she still doesn't understand that I don't want it, that I can't. It's beyond my strength.
"No, it's okay, thanks. It's not my thing."
"But it would do you good."
"You don't know me, you have no idea," I retorted coldly.
"You're right. So tell me about yourself."
"I don't see why it matters to you. It's been a long time since anyone's taken an interest in me. It's not going to change now."
"I care about you. You owe me that much after what you've put me through. Let's start with something basic. Do you have a passion, perhaps?"
She never gives up. I just found someone even more stubborn than me. I didn't think it was possible. I relax my shoulders and resign myself to answering her.
"I like art. Sometimes I draw."
"Draw?" she repeats, surprised.
"Yeah... It lets me express myself on paper and clear my head," I argued.
"But you don't have any drawing supplies in your room."
"I knew you searched my room!" I exclaimed.
"I didn't search, she rolls her eyes, exasperated. I just looked for your devices."
"You searched!"
"Okay... I searched if you want. Now answer me. Why don't you have any drawing supplies?"
"I thought I'd have access to downtown, but that's not the case."
I've only been here a week, but I admit I miss my pencils. It was my way of clearing my mind before sleeping. Now I listen to music or go on the computer. At least... I used to.
"When can I get my things back?" I asked.
"I don't know," she replies. "We could make a deal."
"A deal?"
"Yeah, we've made one before. I'm ready to give them back to you in exchange for something."
"It depends on what you're proposing..." I said, skeptical.
"Okay. Hmm... How about I give you your things back on Friday if you're on time every morning this week?"
"Really?" I asked enthusiastically.
"It's not the end of the world, is it?" she asks, tilting her head. "I'm not even asking you to stop your other nonsense. Just to be ready in the morning."
"Deal," I agreed, extending my hand.
She looks surprised at my quick response. She shakes my hand firmly. I wouldn't have agreed to the deal if I wasn't sure of myself. I know I can do it.
"And if I fail?"
"We'll extend the deal to the following week. Again and again until you succeed."
"I'll succeed."
"You seem very confident," she says with a smile.
"I practiced making my bed perfectly this weekend," I tell her. "It shouldn't be a problem anymore."
"Well, we'll see if your training pays off. In any case, keep it up, I prefer this behavior."
I smile shyly, lowering my head. I'm not used to being praised. It was quite the opposite in recent years.
"Miss Bronze, I've finally found you!"
I straighten up as I see the director approaching us. Bronze was her entire focus until she saw me. She furrows her brows and turns back to my supervisor when she reaches us.
"Ona has been causing trouble again by not being in class at this time?"
"You could say that," she replies. "Nothing too serious."
Why is she lying? I turned an instructor's room upside down - hers, to be exact. I don't think Wiegman would call that "nothing too serious." She just sighs.
"Fine, if you say so. Are you busy this afternoon?"
"I decided to keep Ona with me," she admits. "Do you need me?"
"Actually, we're missing quite a few things for tonight's meeting. A buffet was supposed to be arranged, but nothing is going right. I'd like you to make a trip to town."
I observe the exchange attentively. My supervisor seems annoyed. She has a habit of running her hand through her hair when something displeases her. She must not appreciate Wiegman changing her plans at the last minute.
"Alright, but I have one condition."
"Which is?"
"That you allow me to take her with me," she says, pointing at me.
I'm as surprised as Wiegman by her request. Nothing would make me happier than for her to take me to town. All I want is to get out of this place, even for just five minutes. The director doesn't share my enthusiasm judging by her expression.
"Is that necessary?"
"Yes," she says, crossing her arms. "I want to keep an eye on her."
"Fine, but you'd better be careful. This is the first time I'm allowing a student to leave the establishment in the middle of the week."
"That's my intention, mam," she replies promptly. "I prefer knowing she's with me rather than leaving her alone here, unsupervised."
"Alright, I trust you anyway. Here's the list of what we need," she says, handing it to her. "Thanks again."
She turns away without waiting for a response. I can hardly believe what just happened. Bronze asked for me to accompany her to town. I can't believe it. I'm going to be able to leave this place! I thought she wanted to skin me alive after what I did to her.
"Wipe that smile off your face," she says, which makes me lose it. "I just don't want to leave you alone. You lost my trust the moment you entered my room."
"I promise you I regret it. At least... Not at first, but now I do."
"Whatever. You've just earned having me more on your back. It's time you got used to my presence, Ona, because you and I won't be parting from now on."
I swallow hard. If she intends to make me regret my mistake, she's already succeeded. She lets me finish my dessert before we clear our trays. Not knowing what to do or where to go, I follow her. We first return to her room where she asks me to put on my uniform.
"Put the one you're wearing in my laundry basket. I'll have it washed."
"When will you stop giving me orders?" I muttered under my breath.
"When you stop doing things your own way."
I thought she wouldn't hear me... I was wrong! She surprises me by giving me a kick in the butt to prompt me to enter the bathroom. I don't hesitate to go. I can finally take off these clothes. I put everything in her laundry basket, as she asked, then I put on my uniform. I come out fixing my messy hair. Bronze is waiting for me patiently on her bed.
"Can we go?"
"Yep."
We head out, passing the cafeteria on foot. I discover a place behind the gym hidden by trees. It's a large parking lot. Bronze unlocks a car from a distance with the key. I think I'm dreaming when I see the orange lights flashing on a black Audi A5.
"Is this your car?"
"Whose else would it be?"
"Well, I don't know... Maybe your boyfriend's."
She smiles slightly, shaking her head. I get into her car, forgetting her answer. I'm in an Audi! I've always had a soft spot for this brand. It has an undeniable class. To think my supervisor owns one. I'm jealous. The interior is equipped with black leather seats more comfortable than my own bed. It has just the right amount of space. I love it! She drives without exceeding second gear to reach the entrance. I'm sure she has a sports package given how the car purrs. I have no doubt when she takes off furiously down the street, leaving me completely pressed into the seat.
"It's mine," she snapped.
"So, no boyfriend then?" I asked playfully. "Not surprising, given your commanding attitude."
"Shut up," she retorted with a slight smile. "I might not know much about you, but you know nothing about me."
"Exactly, I told you something about me. You could do the same."
"No. I don't trust you anymore, and anyway, the rules forbid me from talking about my private life."
I sighed in frustration, settling into the seat. The trip continued in silence as I distracted myself with the scenery. Only houses passed by. It’s always better than the dilapidated walls of the camp. I'm seeing Manchester for the first time. I was so on edge when I arrived that I didn’t pay attention to the outside. We arrived at the supermarket parking lot, where she parked with a view of downtown buildings in the distance. She got out of the car while I looked at the supermarket. It seemed huge, almost double the size of the one I'm used to in Barcelona. I jumped when Bronze knocked on my window.
"Move it, we don't have all day."
Always so friendly... I unbuckled the seatbelt that still held me hostage as she opened the door for me. I grabbed what I recognized as a shopping cart token.
"Where should I get this?" I asked.
"We're going together; I’m not leaving you alone."
The opposite would have been strange. We grabbed a cart at the entrance, and unsurprisingly, I was the one tasked with pushing it. We entered the supermarket. I discreetly observed Bronze, who was busy reading the shopping list.
"Are you from here?"
"None of your business."
"You seem to know the place..."
"Stop."
"You're not funny," I sighed, leaning on the cart.
"I'm not particularly trying to be. Stand up straight, you're not a pasha."
I groaned in frustration. It seemed she decided to go back to being the unpleasant officer. I observed the environment I missed. I hadn't had any social contact for a week. It was mostly old people, but it was still better than the annoying faces of the camp students who kept staring at me. I was brought back to reality when fingers snapped in front of my nose.
"Stop daydreaming, Batlle. Let's go."
I sighed, walking beside her. She kept my pace, giving me time to notice that there were a lot of people for a Monday afternoon. We went aisle by aisle, as they came. We stopped whenever we found something on the list. The cart gradually filled up with towels, plates, drinks, snacks, and biscuits. The guests for tonight's meeting would be well-treated. I wished I could be in their place.
"Wait here, I forgot something in the next aisle."
I nodded. Anyway, I couldn't go anywhere without her. She was driving, and even if I wanted to leave, I didn't know the city and had no money or phone. I wouldn't get far. I watched Bronze until she was out of sight. I sighed in boredom. Shopping with an instructor was far from fun. The worst part was that she hadn't spoken since I insisted on getting information about her. That was stupid. I took advantage of her absence to lean on the cart and scan the surroundings. My gaze stopped on two young people in particular. They were the only ones I'd seen since the beginning. One of them was covered in piercings and tattoos. Nothing too extreme, just enough. I observed their hands seeking each other. I straightened up suddenly. I couldn't believe it! How could they do that in a supermarket! It might have gone unnoticed by others, but not by me. I felt suddenly shaky. Damn... I should never have seen that. The young man who had grabbed the merchandise continued his route as if nothing had happened. The other must have felt someone watching because he turned his head towards me. It was now or never. My hands were trembling. I stood up from the cart. I needed to talk to him, to negotiate to get some too! Just as I decided to go, a strong hand on my shoulder dissuaded me. I turned to see Bronze with a disapproving frown.
"Where were you planning to go?"
I slightly parted my lips, searching for a quick excuse. She looked up at the dealer. I did the same and saw that the guy I was about to approach was fleeing. Damn, he must have been scared!
"I... Well, since you were taking your time... Um... I wanted to see where you were."
"Don't bullshit me!" she snapped coldly.
I widened my eyes, not expecting such an excessive reaction. She understood everything, no doubt about it.
"Walk ahead," she said, pushing me from behind.
My hands clenched around the cart. I couldn't stop trembling. So close to the goal... I was frustrated and had messed up again. Bronze knew. The situation was even tenser than before. We made one last stop to get the final item on the list.
"If you've come this far, you better avoid relapsing," she broke the silence.
"Hmm."
"I'm serious," she frowned. "You don't need that crap to feel good for a short while."
"What does it matter to you? I have the right to do what I want."
"No, you don't have that right since I'm with you. And maybe I care because I'm worried about you!"
"Worried about me?" I scoffed. "Don't bullshit me! No one has worried about me for a long time. I don't need your pity, thanks."
I sped up, trying to find the registers alone. Bronze told me to slow down, but I ignored her. I just wanted her to leave me alone. Unfortunately for me, she caught up quickly.
"You really need to stop being so stubborn! I'm responsible for you, OK? And yes, I worry about you! You'll have to deal with it."
She sighed when she got no reaction from me. I didn't even flinch. I couldn't help it if I didn't believe her. Words are easy to say. It's another thing to back them up. She just guided me to the register when she realized she wouldn't get anything from me. I'd had enough arguments for today. I helped unload the items onto the conveyor belt when it was our turn, then did the reverse. When we finished, she paid with an envelope Wiegman had given her in the cafeteria. We loaded the car, then I returned the cart. The drive back was silent. Thankfully the trip was short because I couldn't stand the situation any longer. It was all my fault, and to top it off, my hands were still shaking.
"Give me your hand."
I shook my head vigorously. I didn't want any contact with her, especially since we were supposed to be on bad terms. But she didn't give me a choice and took my hand herself, slipping hers into mine by force. I hated my body for betraying me. I was supposed to refuse being touched, but I had no strength left. I was mentally disturbed, and my body decided to seek comfort from the person I hated the most at that moment. I hated her for being who she was. I hated her for daring to touch and care about me. And yet, I also hated her when she let go to shift gears. I could have done without her little smile, letting me know she understood that I needed her. I'm so contradictory. My tremors subsided during the ride. We arrived at the camp. She turned off the car after parking.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah... Thanks," I managed to get out with a tight throat.
"Let's take it easy for the rest of the day. You'll help me set up the meeting room, and we'll take the chance to talk and lower the tension between us. Okay?"
I nodded, and she smiled back. Maybe my day wouldn't end as badly as I thought. I was grateful she didn't continue with punishments. I couldn't imagine doing anything physical after this episode. Once again, I was mentally and physically drained because of her. She'll be the death of me one day, for sure!

Tumblr media
It wasn't fully your idea to get your nipples pierced after all. You saw Tara blushing while looking at some pretty suggestive pictures on her Tumblr the other day, and instead of being jealous like you usually would, you started wondering; is she really into that stuff at all?
The next day, you got an appointment at Woodsboro's local tattoo parlor. And oh god, it was more painful than to watch a dog die in an early 2000's movie. You literally felt your soul leave your body for some minutes, your skin had visible goosebumps all over it and the pain was bearing the unbearable. But damn, you looked hot. And you knew that Tara would love that.
She mentioned once or twice, as well. "Babe, would you think I'd look hot with my nipples pierced?". And you knew damn well that this was never going to happen due to her fear of needles, but a girl can dream, right? And Tara was about to have her dream come true that night.
--
"Baby, I'm home! Got us some chinese!" Tara shouted while entering your house, with some takeout in her hands. It was your usual friday night; your dad was a surgeon so he had to bear inhumane 48 hour-shifts on the weekends, which of course meant that you guys had the whole place to yourselves. You usually didn't do anything that crazy or teenage-like, you and Tara were really responsible for your age. The days were mostly spent by watching some movies, eating a bunch of junk food and a lot of sex. Nothing that a lesbian couple wouldn't do.
"I'm over here!" You shouted back in your bedroom, turning off your phone and waiting for your girl to come to you. Your chest was still a little bit sore, so laying on it was definetly not an option right now. Also, no bras for at least a whole week, but that was something you weren't really worried about. You wanted to show them off. You wanted her to see it.
Tara left all the bags filled with food on the kitchen counter, discarding her jacket and shoes before coming up the stairs to your bedroom. She was exceptionally tired today, to say the very least. Playing soccer was definitely not the best career choice and yet she still played it. Not for the sport itself, but the thrill to win. She was exhausted, so it was no surprise that she decided to fall on your bed like a dead corpse, without even looking straight at you. "M' tired as fuck."
She mumbled, in the cutest fucking way possible, which made you laugh. "I know, baby. You didn't have to bring us food, y'know? We could just order Postmates or something." You kissed her forehead, laying down with her but without hugging, you couldn't even dream of having your chest touch something other than the thin layer of fabric of your tank top.
"But it's our tradition, babe... I don't wanna be the one to break it." You almost didn't hear her muffled sore voice, and it made your heart flutter. She couldn't be real. "Why you're not hugging me?"
You knew that it wouldn't take long for her to notice that something was missing. She wasn't sure what, but she knew you better than that; she knew that the first thing you'd do was hug and kiss her right after practice, like always. But you didn't. She finally looked up with a puzzled look on her face. "Is there something wrong?"
"No baby, nothing is wrong... " You kissed her lips briefly, trying to reassure her that everything was fine. More than fine, actually. "It's just... I got a little surprise for you, that's all."
"Baaaaabe! You know that I hate and love surprises." She whined, jumping on the spot and sitting down while looking at you. Thankfully you were wearing a thin sweatshirt over your tank top, so she couldn't see what it was just yet. "Come on, tell me what it is."
"I will, I promise! Just... Close your eyes first, okay?" Before she could even start her sentence, you shushed her. Reluctantly, she closed her eyes, but you were directly looking at them to make sure she wouldn't peek. Carefully, you took your sweatshirt off, alongside with your white tank top. Your nipples were a little puffy still, more red than the usual. It felt like if Tara sucked the life out of them for at least a couple of hours, but instead of her usual bite marks, there was a silver jewelry on them.
You were so fucking excited and it took every inch of your soul to not blurb and tell her what it was before she could even see them. "Okay baby, open them now."
She did as she was told, and you swear to god that you saw some sparkles emerge from her eyes. You could almost feel her happiness, as if her mouth was watering like a boy seeing a pair of boobs for the first time. "You've got to be fucking kidding me."
"Got them while you were at practice. Aren't they pretty?" They were two pieces of silver jewlery, the colour matching the necklace she got you with her initials on it. And oh boy, she was so turned on at that moment that she couldn't even form a sentence. "Didn't liked them?"
That was a rethorical question. You knew she loved them. And the fact that you had to wait at least 2 weeks for her to touch them was, to say the least, torturous. But before you could manage to think about anything else, you felt her lips against yours in a fervorous kiss. Her mouth tasted like cherry, and her kiss tasted like heaven. A piece of your own private paradise. "You really don't know the things I wanna do to you right now, (Y/N)."
"Show me then."

Hello!! Can I request chuuya or dazai x GN! Reader who’s helpless romantic and just always give them praise no matter what they are doing? ALSO SORRY IF REQUESTS ARENT OPEN but make sure you drink water and take plenty care of yourself!^^
Chuuya Nakahara x Gender Neutral Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Me after saying I'm gonna post more and the dipping for another month
This requests old..anyways! Also this does include them both, scroll down for Dazai.
Tumblr media
From the start of your relationship, Chuuya always enjoyed your company and the things you'd say. He would always get a little jealous if you were friendly with others, but he knew it was just in your nature.
Though you were far nicer to him. Constantly praising him or making flirty remarks whenever he is around. They'd always leave him a hot red mess.
From before your relationship started, he would always yell at you whenever you made small comments, "You look so hot today Chuuya". It pissed him off how easily your words made him melt.
He's a feared and respected port mafia boss, and yet you break him down like he's nothing. He feels a sense of comfort when he's around you.
He doesn't need to keep up some scary front when you're around. He can relax and drown in your voice as you talk to him. Your compliments and comments mean a lot more to him than he lets on.
He can't imagine living in a world without your constant praise over his existence. You're the family he wasn't allowed to have, and you make sure he knows it.
Tumblr media
Dazai Osamu x Gender Neutral Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dazai would love the way you flirted with him all the time. He would flirt back, to an extent..
You would be his main excuse for missing work, "I was with Y/n!", "Y/n wanted to hang out today." Kunkida is tired of both of you.
When he falls into a more stern or serious mood, he'll take your compliments to heart. Knowing you truly mean the words you're saying holds a lot of weight to him.
He's aware that he's not the best person. The idea of someone truly loving who he is is beyond him.
This doesn't cancel out his obnoxious-ness. He will make everyone around you twos lives a living hell. If you compliment him, he has to compliment you in the dumbest ways possible.
"Oh my love, please jump off the agency with me." All you have to do is say. "You look beautiful today, Osamu." and he will ask you to kill yourself with him.
Not to mention his clingy-ness. If you tell him he smells good, he'll cling to you all day. He just wants to make sure you get to smell the beauty that is him all day.
If you ever gift him something like a rose, he'll take it as a sign that you want to jump into a pit of spikes or thorns with him.
He makes your life all the more interesting.

Doberman cafe but a Maltese owns it?
Tumblr media
Pairing: barista!Yeosang x office worker!reader
Summary: This will be tied to the dilf YunGi fics I posted a while back but this time, the reader will have no connection to any of the characters. Just a heads up lol
Warning(s): Swearing, yelling, Yeosang being a total softie for the reader, reader is a certified simp for Yeosang (i mean who wouldn't be lol), mentions of a non-Ateez member
Genre: A shit ton of fluff lol
Nets: @blossomnet @mirohs-aurora-society
Originally, I was going to post a Hongjoong fic. However, in observance of the birth of the man named Kang Yeosang, I've decided to post this first before the Joong fic.
Thank you to @bunnliix for helping me decide the order of the remaining fics that I should write and post
The calming effect of the soft jazz music playing in the background of the Doberman Cafe provided much needed soothing effort for those that entered the small coffee shop. From college students to families that wanted a day out, the owner would always greet his customers with a smile.
Kang Yeosang was happy where he was at. After quitting his old job, he found it relaxing to grind coffee and mix in various ingredients to create caffeinated drinks varying from sweet to bitter. He also got some help from his best friend Jung Wooyoung, who was currently in the back baking various pastries. The two have been friends since diapers and they vowed to never abandon the other.
Yeosang has heard tales of Wooyoung's other best friend getting together with Jeong Yunho and the widow of Doh Kyungsoo dating Song Mingi.
When would it be his turn?
Business was slow as usual for today. After all, it was Friday so most of his usual customers weren't coming in which was fine. It gave the man time to relax and rest his hands from making coffee. The bell attached above the front door chimed and Yeosang looked up. He was getting ready to greet the customer with a kind smile when he heard the argument that came through.
"LISTEN, JONES! I DON'T FUCKING CARE IF HE ACTS LIKE A DAMN CHILD THROWING A TANTRUM! HE SHOULD'VE THOUGHT TWICE BEFORE FUCKING CHEATING ON ME!"
Oh dear. This person sounded angry. Wooyoung must've noticed Yeosang's confusion and slight fear since he poked his head out of the back and heard the unintentionally loud conversation this person had with this Jones person.
"HE HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY THAT?! OH HELL NAH! I'M OVER HERE BUSTING MY ASS LEFT AND RIGHT 24/7 TO BRING FOOD ON THE TABLE AND PAY RENT WHILE HE SITS ON HIS ASS AND DOES ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING! AND YET HE HAS THE GALL TO SAY, 'yOu nEvER mAkE tiMe fOr me' STRAIGHT TO MY FACE?! AT LEAST I DIDN'T SLEEP WITH HIS BEST FRIEND!"
Oh. This just got interesting. As Yeosang saw the customer sit down, he couldn't help but to be smitten with them. Sure, they were angry as hell and very much stressed yet he couldn't help it. He tilted his head and eavesdropped some more. Unintentionally.
"Look, Jones! After gathering the divorce papers, make sure you also provide documents for a restraining order against my soon to be ex-husband. It may be too much, but I don't care. I'm so fucking tired! I'm just... done. Let me know when those papers are finished and fax them to me. My boss won't care. He knows of the shit that's happening to me right now. Hence, that strangely kind offer for me to take a trip down to the Bahamas. Anyways, I have to go. Tell your wife and kids I said hi."
You hung up after your attorney and former college roommate Jones bid you goodbye. You groaned quietly and laid your head on the table that you sat at. You felt someone sit across from you and you were about to tell them to kindly fuck off when you lifted your head and was immediately greeted with a statue staring down at you with big brown eyes that were full of curiosity and wonder.
'HOLY SHIT! I KNOW THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE SAY THAT THE OWNER WAS HANDSOME, BUT THEY CERTAINLY DIDN'T TELL ME HOW HANDSOME! AND HE'S SO CUTE TOO! LIKE A MALTESE!'
'Quit it, Y/N! He probably thinks you're a lunatic with the way he must've heard you scream over the phone.'
'Damn it! Ok I'll stop my simping...'
After you finished internally scolding yourself, you looked down to see him move a white teacup slowly in your direction, along with a slice of cake.
"Hey. I figured you'd need this. I didn't mean to, but I overheard you yelling at someone over a certain douchebag that's also a man-child. Hopefully, this cheers you up." He said in a rich honey-like deep voice.
In the cup was a freshly brewed batch of lavender green tea and on the plate was a slice of black cherry chiffon cake. You smiled sheepishly and thanked him shyly for the treats.
When you sipped the tea, all the stress over your cheating soon-to-be ex-husband washed away and you instantly relaxed. You then picked up your fork and took a piece of the cafe before eating it.
You were in heaven. You definitely needed this.
"Um... thank you." Your voice came out softer than usual and had a twinge of shyness to it. Yeosang smiled and beckoned for Wooyoung to come sit with you.
Wooyoung was extremely sexy, but not as sexy as the man sitting across from you.
"I hope you guys don't mind me coming in here at this ungodly hour. If you haven't heard, I'm... kind of going through a lot right now."
Wooyoung, who was usually loud as hell, softened his voice.
"It's no problem. Fridays are our slowest days and since Saturday is our day off, we usually stay in here until we decide to go home. You're welcome to stay as long as you like."
"Thank you. By the way, these are amazing."
"Thank you! I made the cake." Wooyoung proudly said with a smile.
"And I made the tea." Yeosang said. "Speaking of which, would you like to spill the tea on your oh-so shabby life?"
You found yourself smiling at that and Yeosang found his heart beating rapidly with excitement.
"Oof. Where do I start?"
From there, you spilled the tea on everything. From your recent tragic event to your life in general, you said it all. Yeosang and Wooyoung were sassy and savage and you found yourself giggling at their quick and witty responses. Finally, you felt yourself becoming sleepy and you yawned. Yeosang found the sound cute. Wooyoung cleared the dishes while Yeosang stood up and help you with your things.
"Would it be possible to walk you home? Not only do I enjoy your company but uh... the Namhae Strongman is still out there. You need to stay alive in order to sign those divorce papers and file that restraining order against that ex of yours."
You shivered at the thought of the killer coming after you. Even though you were angry at your ex, you wished him well enough to pray for his safety.
The Namhae Strongman is not someone you'd want to mess with.
"Of course, Yeosang. I live down the block from here so it'll be a short walk."
Yeosang grinned excitedly and your heart ached in adoration for the human personification of a Maltese. After Wooyoung locked up the shop, you three headed to your apartment. You talked some more and kept an eye out for any suspicious activity or sign of the killer. Finally, you reached your apartment.
"Thanks for the walk home. Oh and for the tea & cake as well. How much do I owe you by the way?"
"It's on the house."
"No no, Yeosang. It's ok. I seriously need to repay you-"
"Repay me by giving me your number. So you can send updates."
Wow. He was smooth.
You blushed lightly and nodded before exchanging numbers with him. After that, you bid him goodbye and entered your apartment. You sighed dreamily as you closed the door behind you and locked it. You set your keys on the counter and made your way to the kitchen, where your roommate was still awake.
"So... you got a new man now?" He teased you and smirked at your reaction.
"Shut up, Jongho!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A couple of days later, you found yourself in Doberman Cafe again. Insomnia was being a bitch to you so you woke up way earlier than Jongho. Sighing to yourself, you threw on a hoodie and walked to the coffee shop before looking for the one person you were majorly simping for.
He just so happened to be standing in front of you with a grin on his face.
"Good morning, lovely."
The pet name gave you butterflies.
Yeosang led you to your seat from Friday night and sat down across from you.
"What will it be today?"
"I'll get a caffe mocha with a soymilk substitute and if possible, a slice of that black cherry cake?"
"Ahh. Now with that cake, it only pairs with tea since it's sweet. Unless you have a giant sweet tooth, I'd recommend some of our breakfast sandwiches. Specifically, a roast beef sandwich with a fried egg all on ciabatta bread that's toasted to perfection."
"Ooh! In this case, I'll have that then. And maybe later, when I leave, can I get an iced americano to go?"
"Sure thing, lovely. It'll be $10 by the way. For your order and that iced americano."
You pulled out a $10 bill and gave it to Yeosang before seeing him walk away and do his magic. While you waited, you received a text from Jones.
Jones: Hey. I'd thought I'd stop by and give you the papers myself. Are you home?
You: No. I'm at the Doberman Cafe. I couldn't sleep anymore so I'd figure I'd stop by here and wake myself up.
Jones: Oh? Ok bet. I heard from my wife that the owner is handsome. Maybe I'll see for myself. ;)
Jones: Can't a man appreciate another man's good looks?
You: And I oop -
You: Don't go simping for the barista now, Jones. You're married and he's actually mine fyi
You: Of course you can. Just don't go full on simp mode. XD
Jones: Like you? XD
You: Fuck you <3
Jones: Ew. No thanks <3
You: Hurry with the fuck ass papers, you dickhead.
Jones: Ok ok! XD
"Is that Jones?" Yeosang asked curiously. You would expect the Maltese to be jealous, but since he overheard your conversation two nights away, he wasn't too worried.
"Yeah. He's coming by here to drop off the divorce papers and the necessary documents to file a restraining order." You clarified to him. "I know I said that he'd fax them to me, but I didn't think he would get them that fast. Hence, why he's coming over to drop them off himself."
Yeosang nodded and set your coffee and meal down before sitting next to you. You thanked him and began to eat. You two made small talk and even introduced Yeosang to Jones when Jones came walking in to deliver the papers. Yeosang grabbed a pen and you happily retrieved it from him before signing the papers. After that, Jones put all of those papers away and bid you goodbye before buying a coffee from Yeosang and going home.
A weight lifted off your shoulders and you felt at ease. Yeosang was feeling the same way, especially since he found you attractive.
Little did he know that you felt the same way.
"Now that it has been done, want to turn this little encounter into a date?"
Yeosang was shocked by your boldness but he eventually nodded eagerly.
"I would love nothing more than that."

There's always a way to tell if Arlecchino is in a good mood today.
Whenever she's happy, she always opens the door like how she normally does. She opens it, and then she'll close it with a soft click. She'll take off her shoes and hang up her coat and then she'll call out your name and that would be your cue to come greet her at the door.
You were laying on your bed wanting nothing more to sleep and do nothing the entire day. But suddenly the door slammed open and loud footsteps echoed through the house.
The second that the door slammed open, you could feel your heart drop.
Arlecchino.
She's back. And most importantly, she's not in a good mood today.
You could hear yelling and the voice of her screaming about who knows what. The second you heard her yelling, you instinctively hug your blanket tighter because you're scared. You're scared of her.
As if on instinct, you grabbed your blanket and kneeled down into the corner of the room. You sat there as if you could hide away from her.
You knew how angry Arlecchino gets whenever she's in a bad mood. 9 times out of 10 she always makes sure to take it out on you. She's scary and she yells a lot whenever she's mad at you. Flashbacks of when she would yell at you came across your mind and anxiety filled your veins.
You could hear loud footsteps making their way to your shared bedroom. Oh no. You don't know what to do. She's probably going to yell at you isn't she?..
Well you were right.
Arlecchino opened the room with a loud thud and despite knowing it was coming, it still scared you because of the loud noise.
She took a glance at you all curled in the corner with a blanket over you and how nervous you looked, she raised an eyebrow before saying, "why are you sitting in the dirty corner? Get up."
You didn't know what to do. You were paralyzed in fear. You took one look at her face and you could tell she was pretty heated.
Damn.
She had to ask that didn't she? What a way to rub salt on the wound.
"Did you hear what I said? I told you to get up." Arlecchino said looking disgusted at the way you were on the ground. The anger in her face dissapeared a bit before she noticed how nervous you looked. "Why do you look so scared right now?"
"I- uh.. um" You stuttered. How the hell are you supposed to answer that?
"I'm scared of you because you're always yelling and whenever you get angry you become scary and I don't like it. I don't like how you brought me here against my will. I hate you. I hate you so much. You're a cruel person and I don't want to ever see you again."
Is what you wanted to say.
But alas you were a scared pet, too afraid to talk back to your master.
"How many times do I have to tell you?!?!" She begins shouting. "Get up from the floor right now."
You scrambled to get up when she started shouting at you. It was best not to anger her anymore.
"You can never do what you're told can you?" She yelled. "I had to tell you three times to get up from the floor."
Arlecchino began yelling at you for the next minute about how you can't follow simple directions. After that, she walked away to let off some steam leaving you in the room all dumbfounded. You sat on the bed and decided to lay there. You were tired of her and how angry she could be.
Later on in the night she came back to your room and she saw you laying there. She laid right next to you and her arms wrapped around you body holding you tightly. Your heart immediately dropped when she starting cuddling you.
"I love you darling.." She mumbled as she nuzzled her face into your neck. A few hours ago she was yelling at you and now she's acting like nothing happened?
You couldn't do anything about it though. Arlecchino is always like this. She never apologizes after she yells at you.
You were afraid that if you didn't give her any affection, she might start yelling at you again. So you said the four words that would make her happy.
"I love you Arlecchino.."
You could feel her lips turning into a smile as her icy touch makes you shiver. As long as you show her some sort of affection she will be happy. Maybe she'll stop taking her anger out on you next time..
Probably not.
But hey? You could at least have some hope right?
Right?

"I hate to say it, but this is not the worst date we have been on together," Bradley told Jake, pouting as they sat down together in the movie theater.
"Hey, I had fun at hot sauce class. You were the one who was grouchy," Jake told him before shoving a fistful of popcorn into his mouth. "Now why couldn't Angel come tonight?"
"Work," Bradley muttered, popping a few Junior Mints into his mouth. "Busy with work."
He had felt a lot better today. Work was going well for him, and instead of feeling neglected, he forced himself to feel happy for you. It wasn't his accomplishment, but it was the next best thing.
"She's been working a lot?" Jake asked cautiously. "Barely seen her around. Usually you can get her to eat lunch with us a few times a week."
"She's been working nonstop," he said quietly. "I miss seeing her at lunchtime, too."
Jake cleared his throat as the lights dimmed. "It's not another Josh kind of thing, is it?"
Bradley's jaw dropped. He hadn't even considered that.
"No," Jake said quickly. "I'm sure it's nothing like that. She would have told you if there was a guy giving her a hard time."
Bradley swallowed against his fear. "I think she's just trying her best to be as successful as she can while she has a good commanding officer. She's kind of chasing that next promotion, you know? And this project deadline is coming up soon. Hopefully things get easier after that."
"And then you two lovebirds can plan your wedding," Jake said.
"Right," Bradley replied as the previews started. "Right."
--------------------------
You were holding up your champagne flute and smiling brightly. Your entire group was seated in the private room of a rooftop restaurant along the beach. Your belly was full of seafood and wine, and now the desserts were coming out. It had been weeks since you were eating on a real schedule, and you'd probably feel sick tomorrow, but you had as much as you wanted.
Bradley would love it here. You would have to tell him about it and bring him one day. Maybe you could make some seafood for him this weekend as a treat. Maybe he could help you practice your presentation. You could make a game out of it again.
You returned your attention to the toast and took a sip before taking a bite of chocolate cake. You were tired, and kind of ready to go home, but everybody else wanted to hit another spot for drinks, so you agreed to go.
And after three more drinks, you realized you were going to need to wait around for a while before you could drive home. It was late, and you didn't want to call Bradley for a ride. You knew he would come get you, but there was no sense in waking him up. And even if he was up, you didn't want to have to come retrieve your car before work tomorrow morning.
This was fine. Tomorrow was Friday. You were way ahead of schedule with work now. You could spend a day with Bradley. You could catch up on some sleep.
---------------------------------
Bradley was easily persuaded to join Jake at the Hard Deck. It was better than going home to a house without you in it. But it was Thursday, and there were no other aviators there.
"This is weird, Hangman," Bradley said as they shot some pool. "We never come here on Thursdays."
"True," Jake said, lining up a nice shot. "But, I'm a little worried about you. Plus, it'll be easier for me to pick up a girl with your ugly mug next to me."
Bradley gave him a blank stare.
"I'm kidding, Bradshaw. Clearly. You bagged yourself a dime. You couldn't be that ugly."
"Thanks," Bradley muttered, focusing on his next shot.
"Now you gonna tell me what's wrong?"
Bradley looked at his former nemesis turned friend. He knew you and Jake were friends as well, so he felt a little weird talking to him about you. He preferred to do that with Nat for a number of reasons. But he couldn't help himself. He shook his head slightly. "She won't work on any wedding planning with me. I'm not even sure she wants to."
Jake frowned. "You tried talking to her?"
Bradley took a long drink of beer. "Yeah. Just blames everything on work. I'm sick of asking her about it." He set his empty down and shook his head. "I don't know what happened. Everything feels wrong now."
"Jesus, man. Let me get you another beer," Jake said before setting down his pool cue and ambling up to the bar.
Bradley re-racked the balls and practiced breaking a few times while he waited. He didn't realize anyone was behind him until he heard a voice.
"Hey, you're really good."
He turned to see a cute girl. Bright eyes. Pretty smile. Probably in her late twenties. Exactly the kind of girl he would have tried to take home with him.
Bradley glanced up at the bar and saw that Jake was in heavy conversation himself, so Bradley nodded and said, "Thanks."
She smiled and licked her lips, and Bradley's mind took him there. He thought about how easy it would be to hook up with her. He knew it would be. It could be a one time thing. Meaningless. Just the way he used to operate. You would never have to know about it.
What the fuck was wrong with him? He was engaged to you, a walking, talking dream. How could his mind have possibly gone there? He was disgusting.
"So, you wanna teach me how to play pool?" she asked, inching closer until her hand was resting on his chest.
Bradley didn't respond. He couldn't even figure out how to breathe correctly. He didn't even fucking deserve you.
He shook his head. "No, sorry. I'm not interested," he said before moving away from her and heading for the door.
"Bradshaw! Where are you going?" Jake asked as Bradley walked past.
"Home."
-----------------------------
You tried to come in as quietly as you could, but Tramp still came running to the front door. It was so late. You were exhausted, but you also really wanted to take a shower. When you walked into your bedroom and found Bradley asleep, you decided to skip the shower and just curl up next to him. After you brushed your teeth and took your contacts out, you got undressed and just climbed right into bed.
You were dying for a good night of sleep. Tomorrow would be a long day, but then you'd have two in a row off. You pressed your naked body against Bradley's, and that was when you realized how much he reeked like liquor.
How much had Jake let him drink? Did he drive home like this?
"Bradley?" you whispered. "Are you okay, Roo?" you asked a little louder.
He groaned, "I'm going home."
You kissed his cheeks. "You are home, Roo. I just got home as well."
"Baby Girl," he mumbled, rolling over toward you. He smelled like he drank an entire bottle of bourbon, but at least he seemed to be okay.
"Yeah, I'm here," you told him, letting him pull you against his body. You dozed off with his strong arms wrapped around you.
Then you woke up to the sounds of him getting sick in the bathroom. You climbed out of bed just as the first rays or sunlight were filtering through the bedroom windows.
"Are you okay?" you asked him as he sat in front of the toilet cradling his head.
He turned to face you, his brown eyes raking over your body. He looked terrible, but you could still see the longing on his face. "Yeah," he told you, his voice hoarse.
"Did you and Jake overdo it last night?" you asked, running your fingers gently through his hair. He seemed to melt into your touch.
"Something like that," he groaned, turning back toward the toilet to be sick again.
"Roo, how are you going to go to work like this?" you asked. He should know better. Maverick would ground him for the day in this condition.
"Very carefully," he told you with a grimace as he stood and washed his face.
"Okay," you hesitantly agreed as you started to get yourself ready for work. "Want me to make you some coffee?"
"Sure."
You finished getting yourself ready and left some plain toast and black coffee on the counter for Bradley.
"Do you need anything before I leave?" you asked softly. He was halfway dressed and sitting on the end of the bed.
"No, Sweetheart. I'm fine." But he really, really didn't look fine. He looked miserable, sick, hungover and sad.
"Listen," you told him. "It's Friday, and we have the whole weekend to ourselves. I'll probably work a little late tonight, but when I get home, I'll make dinner and we can relax. Sound good?"
He looked up at you and nodded.
"Perfect. Bye, Roo," you told him, placing a soft kiss on his forehead.
----------------------------
Bradley deserved to feel this shitty. After the thoughts in his mind last night, he honestly deserved much worse than this. He hated himself right now, and he didn't deserve you. Even on your worst day, you weren't as bad as he was. That's why he drank half a bottle of scotch when he got home from the Hard Deck. He just wanted those thoughts out of his mind.
But damn it, he also wanted some sort of reassurance from you. Every time he asked for you to plan even the smallest wedding detail, you shut him down. And he didn't want to push you too hard right now, because he knew you were busy. You had Annapolis coming up. This was all very important to you.
He wanted to feel like he was important to you too, though.
He scrambled through work, thankful it was only a classroom day. When Jake tried to ask him why he left the bar so suddenly, Bradley didn't know what to say.
"Was it that pretty little thing talking to you?" Jake asked, and Bradley's eyes snapped up to his. "You could have tossed her my way, you know. Instead of running out like your ass was on fire."
"I told her I wasn't interested. Nothing happened."
Jake rolled his eyes. "Obviously nothing happened. Look, Angel's not gonna care that some little airhead touched you, Bradshaw."
"Right," he agreed. "She wouldn't care about that."
But that's not what had Bradley rattled. He was starting to question too many things. He needed to get himself home and wait for you. He would demand your attention.
So when he got there, he sat on the couch with Tramp, but then he decided to just finish the rest of the bottle of scotch to help him relax a little bit. When Jake texted asking if it was okay to come over and workout in the garage, Bradley responded and told him that was fine.
He sipped more of the scotch and ate a bag of the disgusting, unsalted pretzels you liked. He finished the bottle around seven o'clock and was just about to pass out on the couch when he remembered that he had hung up the dirty calendar you gave him in the garage next to his weight bench.
"Shit," he hissed, rolling off the couch and making his way out to the garage. He could already hear Jake's music playing, and then he noticed his car in the driveway. Bradley was having a really difficult time walking, but he did manage to get inside the garage.
"Bradshaw," Jake said in greeting as he did some bicep curls.
Bradley shook his head and unclipped the calendar from the wall. "Don't look at her."
Jake snorted. "Yeah, it's a little late for that, man. Angel looks good in red though. And if I haven't already told you before, you are one lucky asshole."
Bradley ran his hand through his hair and turned back toward the house.
"Are you okay? Wait, are you drunk?" Jake asked, hopping up from the bench and following Bradley. "Whoa. What the fuck is going on?"
Bradley tried to stand still, but his head was spinning. "I don't know."
"Let's go inside," Jake suggested softly, guiding Bradley back into the house and helping him sit on the couch.
Bradley watched him bring in a glass of water and some crackers. "Eat and drink some water. I'm going to call Angel."
"No... don't bother her at work. She's busy." Bradley closed his eyes to keep the room from spinning.
But he could already hear Jake talking on the phone.
---------------------------
"Hey, Jake, I'm a little busy," you said when you answered your phone. "What do you need?"
He was silent for a beat, and your heart started pounding.
"Angel, I think you should come home right now."
"What happened? Where's Bradley?" you asked, tossing your computer into your bag and heading for your office door.
"Can you just come home?"
Now you were scared as you rushed out of your building. What happened to Bradley? And why was Jake at your house? When you finally pulled into your driveway, you saw Jake's car. And when you rushed inside, he was there talking to Bradley.
"What happened?" you asked, out of breath.
"Sweetheart," Bradley groaned from the couch. He was clutching the calendar you gave him to his chest. You watched his eyes slide in and out of focus as he looked at you, reaching for you as he tried in vain to stand up. Sinking back to the couch with a deep sigh, his eyes drifted closed.
"He's drunk again?" you asked Jake. "Why did you let him get trashed again? He was a mess last night and this morning!"
"What are you talking about?" Jake asked. "He only had one beer with me last night. Ran away when some cute girl started flirting with him. Didn't even stay for a second drink. And he was already like this when I got here an hour or so ago."
You let Jake's words sink in as you tried to puzzle through this mess. Bradley must have gotten drunk here last night. He must have been trying to do it again tonight when Jake found him.
"You came over to use the garage?" you asked, eyeing up his gym clothes.
"Yeah. Rooster came stumbling in and took down all the scenery," Jake said, pointing at Bradley. Well, at least the calendar's presence made sense now. "Red is definitely your color."
"Shut up," you told him, making your way over to Bradley. "Are you okay, Roo?"
He cracked his eyes open and nodded. You pushed his hair back from his forehead and kissed his cheek. "I'm going to walk Jake out. I'll be right back." Bradley whimpered in response and nodded his head as you stroked your fingers along his flushed cheeks.
Jake took you firmly by the hand, and you followed him out onto the porch.
"Listen, Angel. I don't mean to pry, but why are you putting him through the wringer like this?"
You gasped. "What?"
Jake ruffled your hair before you could duck out of the way. "He's crazy about marrying you. Just tell him you're looking at dresses or you picked out some exotic flowers or you know what flavor cake you want. Give him a little hope. It'll go a long way."
He was already walking to his car when you let your shoulders slump. "No," you whispered as you rushed back inside.
Now Bradley was up and walking around, still holding the calendar.
"Roo, why don't you sit down and I'll get you something to eat?"
"Not hungry," he told you, pacing over toward the piano.
"Okay, well how about we sit on the couch together?"
His eyes went a little wide. "You'll let me touch you?"
You nodded your head and took him by the hand, but you were starting to feel like shit. "Yeah, you can touch me."
You guided him to sit down, and then you started to unlace your boots. His unsteady eyes followed your every move as you took them off and set them near the front door. When you sat next to him, he curled up with his head in your lap, running his hands along your uniform pants. He kissed your legs through the fabric before letting his cheek rest on your thigh.
"You look really nice in khaki," he told you, his voice deep and raspy.
"So you've told me. I've also heard I look nice in red," you said, raking your fingers through his hair.
"Fucking Hangman shouldn't have been looking at that," Bradley muttered, nuzzling the back of his head against your belly. You were just thankful the photo with your bare breast wasn't the one on display in the garage.
You took a deep breath. "You gonna tell me what's wrong, Roo?"
Bradley sighed. "I wish you still wanted to marry me," he told you, and you felt like someone had kicked you in the stomach.
"Bradley. I do," you promised him as tears stung your eyes. But he was wrapping his arm around your leg and starting to doze off.
Okay, so you had made a mess of things. Even Phoenix and Jake could tell what was going on, but you were so absorbed in your own work projects, you had been oblivious. And now Bradley was drunk, again, and you couldn't even put his mind at ease.
You let him sleep, running your fingers along his cheek and looking down at his beautiful face while you cried. You had to fix this. And you needed to do it this weekend. You had one more week here before you left for Annapolis, and you needed Bradley to know you wanted to marry him. You wanted to do everything with him.
When he started to stir a little bit, you helped him stand and walked him to the bedroom. "Let's get you undressed," you told him softly, peeling his shirt and jeans off. He just did whatever you said, so you sent him into the bathroom to brush his teeth while you got him a fresh glass of water and something for the headache he was going to have in the morning.
You were waiting for him next to the bed, and when he climbed in, he said, "She wanted me to teach her how to play pool, Sweetheart."
"Who?" you asked, handing him the water.
He shrugged and shook his head before he snuggled back against the pillow. "I dunno. It was a girl."
You kissed his forehead and started to get undressed from your uniform. Bradley got hit on all the time at the Hard Deck. If there was something you should be worried about, Jake would have told you.
You climbed in bed with him until he was definitely asleep. But it was still pretty early, and you had been neglecting more than just Bradley. So you slipped out of bed and gathered up all the laundry. Then you cleaned the kitchen and pulled out ingredients to make a nice lunch tomorrow. Then you cleaned the entire house before you got your phone out to text Jake.
You scrolled through your calendar, and your eyes caught on what was listed in your schedule for Monday. You'd take the day off. You would use some of your vacation time and spend the day at home. Everyone would just have to get over it.
And then you started to look at wedding dresses. Because you wanted to. You also knew you wanted that weird confetti cake batter as your wedding cake. Bradley always complained it was too sweet, but you would insist upon it to the point where he would concede and smile and kind of grunt at you.
You emailed three dresses to your mom and Maria, and then you took a quick shower before climbing into bed. When you were both awake, you and Bradley would have a calm, rational conversation about what was going on.
------------------------------
Bradley woke up with a pounding head. And he was pissed off. He was fucking angry about everything. He was mad that Jake saw his calendar. He was mad that you came home and took care of him. He was mad that the house was cleaned up. He was mad that he was throwing up again. God, now his ribs were aching, and he was laying on the bathroom floor.
He wasn't a fuck up. Not entirely. He hadn't let the house get too bad while you'd been busy working. He'd managed to feed himself. He hadn't chatted up that girl at the bar. In fact, he'd come home on Thursday night and jerked off while thinking about you.
God damn it, he would be a fucking great husband, and he knew it. He remembered all the dumb shit so you didn't have to. Like when to pay the bills, when to buy dog food, when to change the oil in your piece of shit car. He even remembered to change the batteries in the smoke detectors.
He let Tramp lick his ear while he rolled over to stand up so he could wash his face and brush his teeth. Then he sat on the floor in front of the sink, and the pup climbed into his lap. He scratched him behind the ears and tried to calm down, because he was fucking mad at you, too.
There was no way he was going to beg you for your affection, but he would demand your attention today if he had to. He wanted a real reason why you didn't want to plan a wedding. You'd been engaged for two months already, and you couldn't even tell Bradley one single detail you wanted. And if you didn't want to get married, he deserved to hear you tell him why not.
"Roo," you said softly from the bathroom doorway. He looked up at you, wearing one of his Top Gun tee shirts, and he wanted to bend you over and fuck you. He also wanted to yell at you until he felt better. So instead of doing either of those things, he just sat on the floor and stared at you.
"I'm sorry," you whispered.
He cleared his throat. "What are you sorry for?"
He watched you swallow hard and swipe your fingers across the tip of your nose. You were going to cry. He could already tell. But Bradley refused to get up and comfort you.
"I made a mess," you told him, shifting your weight from one foot to the other. "I've been working a lot and neglecting too many things."
"What things?" he pressed, tired of dealing with this shit. Tired of trying to pry information out of you when most of the time you weren't even home. "And I swear to God, if you tell me we can't have a conversation right now because you need to go to work, I am going to lose my mind."
Tears started to stream down your face, and the sight actually made him feel a little better. "You! I've been neglecting you! And myself! Us!" You were sucking in air as you tried to talk.
Bradley nodded and watched you grab the door frame. "Yeah," he agreed, making you cry harder.
"I'm sorry! I just wanted to get through this work project, because it's important to me. I told you before we even started dating that work is important to me. You know how much I love what I'm working on now. And women don't get promoted as quickly as men."
Bradley nodded his head slowly. "Yeah, I understand that. And I know it's important to you, and I know promotions aren't always fair. I guess I just got used to being on your list of important things."
You swiped the tears away from your cheeks and took a step toward him. "You are on my list, Bradley! You're at the top. And I'm sorry we aren't having sex as much as you want, but how do you think I feel when you're deployed for weeks or months?"
"No," he said, setting Tramp down and standing up. "That's not fair. I can jerk off when I need to. That's not the problem. And I don't need you to give me pity blowjobs to get me off your back. It's not about that, and you know it."
"Pity blowjobs?" you asked, still inching closer.
Bradley ran his hands over his face, suddenly wishing he was wearing more than just his underwear as your gaze dipped downward. "I've had to practically beg you to let me touch you for the past three weeks. And every time I try to be with you physically, you turn me down."
"Bradley." Your voice sounded pitiful, and your face was all red and splotchy now. "I'm sorry."
He took a step in your direction but raised his voice. "Why don't you want to plan a wedding with me?"
"I.... do.... I want to."
Bradley threw his hands in the air. "I can't plan this without you! I don't even know what you want to do, because you won't tell me anything! Two months of asking, and I have no information from you! And you haven't asked me what I want to do. Not once."
"Roo," you whispered, your lips quivering.
"We can wait and get married next year if you want to. We can get married tomorrow. For all I fucking care, we can get married in Spain or New Zealand or Maryland or our back fucking yard! I don't care! I just want to know what you want! I'm begging you!" He realized he was yelling, but he couldn't stop now. "Do you even want to marry me at all?"
"Yes!" you yelled back. "Yes, Bradley, I want to marry you! I want confetti cake! And I want to wear your mom's veil, because it's prettier than anything you can buy today! I already emailed three wedding dresses to my mom! And I don't want to look at the venue in Laguna Beach, because it looks too fancy in an annoying way!"
Bradley's heart was pounding. His head still ached, and he still felt nauseous, but your shouted words and scratchy voice were soaking through his skin and making him feel better than he had in weeks. He watched you clench and unclench your fists as you took deep breaths. "Well, fuck! Baby Girl, why didn't you tell me any of this before?"
"Because I feel overwhelmed!" you told him, your voice echoing around the bathroom. "If I can't keep it together now, how is this going to work later?" Your voice softened to a whisper. "I'm scared I won't be enough for you."
Bradley's eyes went wide. "Baby Girl, you're everything," he promised, rushing forward to grab you. He pulled you against his body and mashed his lips against yours before gently letting his fingers ease up along your body until he was holding your face in both hands. "Everything."
You kissed him back, whispering his name, and his entire body was aching. "Roo." Your voice was questioning, pleading with him to understand.
He scooped you into his arms and devoured your mouth, relentless until you were gasping. Then he eased himself to his knees and set you gently on the floor, the back of your head coming to rest on the tub mat. You pulled him down by his hair, and he whispered against your neck, "You're more than enough. You always will be."
You moaned as he pressed his body weight on top of yours and ran his rough palms up along your thighs and over your bare ass and pussy. Bradley kissed your face, your cheeks still pink and damp and cool from your tears. Your tears gave him relief this time; he felt so thankful that you shed them.
Your voice was nothing but a broken whisper as you told him, "I need you."
He kissed your lips, holding your chin with one hand. "I need you, too," he promised. "I always will. Please don't forget that." Bradley eased your thighs apart, settling himself against your core. You rocked against him, your fingers gripping his hair tight and keeping his mouth on yours.
"Please, please," you were gasping against his lips, your teeth grazing his mustache as you pleaded. He loved the way you were needy for him, but he needed you just as much right now.
Wordlessly, he reached between your bodies and stroked your clit softly one time.
"Oh!" you whined, your head automatically tipping back, and he licked a stripe slowly up your perfect neck. He stroked your pussy softly, barely giving you the pressure you needed, which had you writhing. "I love you," you told him, rubbing yourself up against his hand. You were so soaked, he could feel you through his underwear when you rubbed yourself there. "Bradley."
He was instantly yanking down the elastic and pulling himself free. He filled you in one stroke. It felt like ages since he'd been inside you. He hated the way it felt like he'd been sharing the house with you, but you had been just out of his grasp. He hated how he felt like he wasn't a priority.
When you licked your lips, and met his eyes, Bradley started to thrust, slowly at first. A soft smile touched your slips, and then with one sharp movement of his hips, you were whining again. He pinned you down with one hand on your hip and teased up the front of your shirt with the other.
He took your soft breast in his hand, gently working his thumb along your taut nipple while he fucked you with hard, short thrusts. He watched your back slowly arch off the floor as he hit just the right spot, and you pressed your lips together stifling your sounds.
"Be as loud as you want, Sweetheart. I'm gonna make you cum on my cock."
"Fuck," you whined. "I'm so close," you cried, shaking your head against the mat. Bradley could feel your right leg shaking against him. The keening noises coming from you had him on the edge too.
He leaned over you, getting some pressure against your clit as he squeezed your breast. You spasmed around him, crying out and gasping for air. And he spilled himself inside you, jerking into you until he couldn't move.
Your hands and lips were all over his face, and as he let himself rest against your shoulder, you wrapped your arms around him. "I'll be better, okay? I promise you, Roo, I will do better."
"Okay, Baby Girl."
A few hours later, you were still wearing just his Top Gun shirt and sitting on his lap at the dining room table. You were sharing a plate of Marry Me Rooster while a confetti cake from a boxed mix baked in the oven.
"Please, Roo? Confetti cake for the wedding?" you asked, giving him your best puppy dog eyes, which weren't even as good as the ones he frequently gave you.
"It's too sweet, but I'll think about it," he replied. But you both knew you would get whatever you wanted.
---------------------------------
Let's hope they can stay on the same page and plan a wedding that will make them both happy.

“And if i’m dead to you, why are you at the wake? Cursing my name wishing i stayed”

Betraying you was the worst decision that Rafe had ever done and considering everything he's done, that's pretty far.
He'd done a lot to you but you always stayed. You always saw the best in him, no matter how bad he hurt you. You wanted to be there for him, protect him from himself and at first he thought it was endearing. It was sweet that you thought there was more to him.
You were the best thing that's ever happened to him and he knew that. Ward told him millions of times that you were his way out - if he kept going out with you, listening to you and loving you that eventually he wouldn't become the person he feared the most.
He was so scared to lose you, for you to slip through his fingertips like sand that eventually he was too scared to even be with you. He was scared he was going to lose you.
But then Rafe did the inevitable; he self destructed.
The relentless voice in his head that he wasn't good enough for you eventually won. But he wanted you to stay, he wanted you to stay for him and save him from yourself but you were too fragile, you deserved someone better.
The more you dated, the more toxic you became.
Before him, you were happy; you had a life outside of him, you had friends, a family. Until you dedicated all your time to loving him, to proving to him that he was not only enough for you, but enough for himself as well.
You proved yourself wrong plenty of times. Every time that Rafe degraded you for even sticking around, you knew that he was right. But you couldn't just walk away, you loved him. You swore to everyone that you loved him more than anything, even when he stabbed you in the back, you still swore that somewhere he loved you back.
You stuck with him through everything. And he still stabbed you in the back, right where it hurts. You thought maybe everyone was wrong, everyone warned you how dangerous it was getting this close to the devil himself, even he did.
You couldn't even blame him at that point.
Rafe had never hated anyone more. The adoration you held for him was a new low for you and that was very low. He hated the fact you tried to prove yourself to him every time they were together and he was tired of it.
That's why he was with this girl right now, doing everything right - doing everything he was supposed to be doing with you. After the pleasure faded, he laid in bed, ignoring her calls of his name.
He got up and put on his clothes, walking out to see the one person he didn't want to. You. His heart dropped once he saw your face.
"What the fuck Rafe?" Was all you managed to choke out as he looked at your face. For the first time in months he registered your pain, and he felt a sharp pain right in the heart. He'd seen you cry more times than he's seen you smile at that point, but for some reason this time it physically pained him.
You were holding flowers in your hand. It was your anniversary, he finally remembered. That's why you were blowing up his phone more than usual today.
"Y/N... I..."
You threw the vase next to him and as the glass shattered, you walked away, your hands wiping your tears. He ran after you, calling your name.
"Y/N, please. Listen, wait. Listen to me."
You turned, your eyes puffy and red. "What do you have to say for yourself, Rafe? You finally pushed me away, this was my last fucking straw. You finally fucking proved yourself, you're a shit human." He knew you didn't mean any of it but it finally clicked in his head that in a few months, you would mean it.
Rafe wanted to cry. "Y/N, I'm so sorry. You never deserved any of it-"
"Rafe, stop." You knew the more he talked, the more he was going to pull you back in. Especially with the whole pained look, he knew you couldn't resist him. "I'm done."
He knew what you meant and this was he wanted, right? You to leave? You to finally realize what a shit human he was? So if he wanted it, why did it hurt? "What?"
"I'm done. I didn't want to tell you but I accepted into (dream college) and I'm going."
He looked down and let out a soft cry.
"I wasn't going to accept it to stay with you."
Rafe looked up, "But I love you."
"No. You don't."
You thought you would've been crying harder but it seems like you were just tired. Tired of the same old thing, same apologizes, same habits. It was draining. You wanted back your life and you knew you can't have Rafe and your life, you had to choose one. And for the first time in months, you did something for you.
When you left, Rafe had somehow hit a new low. He realized that you were the one for him, if he had just given you a chance. If he hadn't listen to that voice in his head, maybe he wouldn't have turned out the way his father sees him; a coke addict with no future.
If he had treated you right maybe he would've gotten what he's always dreamed; a beautiful wife, beautiful kids and a home far away from the Outer Banks. But he gave it all away, for what? A quick fuck? Some coke?
Maybe one day, when he's sober and you're happier, he can get a second chance.

The “sleepover” as you called it earlier, turned into a mess of insults directed at Jude, lots of crying and hushing, Nikki yelling that she should have kicked his ass when she had the opportunity, and, finally, you switching between laughing and crying.
It was so surreal and stupid; the whole situation was just bizarre. Against your own judgment, you begged Nikki for more details about what she saw at the club as soon as she arrived. Turns out she spotted Jude right away and thought nothing when she didn't saw you with him; maybe you were in the bathroom. But as soon as she saw him flirting with some girl for a couple of minutes, she knew you weren't anywhere around and he was definitely planning on cheating. She just waited a bit more until he did something, so you could have proof.
Not like it mattered anymore. You two weren't together and today confirmed what you feared the most: he was over you from day one. What a joke.
“Our relationship was absolute bullshit to him, wasn't it?” You said after your cries calmed down, feeling something similar to anger starting to build up inside you. “That's why I never got to meet half of his friends. Why bothering? Almost a year! Did I waste ten months of my life on a douchebag?”
You didn't got a response. Nikki and Mia were just listening, letting you get off your chest everything you were keeping for yourself the past week. You were angry, so so angry at him... But you still thought about him with such love. It was so stupid from you to do so.
“I want to hate him...” You whispered after a while, sighing when some tears fell from your eyelashes. “I think I'll hate him eventually, right?”
“Or even better: you'll stop caring about him,” Mia replied, rubbing your shoulder softly. “That's the best thing that will happen to you. Stop caring about him or what he does. I know it's going to be kinda difficult due to him being a famous person, but… Meh, if Selena Gómez did it, I'm sure you're able to do so.”
The three of you laughed at the last part.
“If I have you two by my side, I'm sure I can do it.” You grabbed your phone from the carpet, taking a deep breath. “I'll delete his number and block his Instagram. I don't want to drunk text him someday and embarrass myself beyond repair.”
“That's the mentality, babes. You do that and I'll prepare us something to drink.” Nikki cheared, walking towards the kitchen. Her shiny black dress kept sending sparks of light all over the room everytime she moved.
“Is she still drunk?” You asked, rubbing your eyes. You were tired of being sad.
“Oh, yeah. She is totally wasted.” Mia stood up, grabbing your hand with a smile. “Let's get wasted too or this will be too boring for her.”
You laughed a bit, feeling thankful for your friends and their support.
“Good idea.”
What happened the rest of the night? Neither of you remembered. But you were fine with it because at least you got to forget all about Jude for once.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
Something was making a lot of noise, and your head wasn't appreciating any of it.
“What the fuck is that?!” Nikki shouted right above your left ear, making you cringe away from her voice. “Tell it to stop. My fucking head is killing me.”
“Only yours?” Mia whispered from your right, sounding like a dead person. “I think it's your doorbell, honey.”
“Is it?” You asked, confused and, you suspected, still a bit drunk. The three of you stayed quiet until the deathly sound started again, confirming that it was your doorbell. “Oh yeah, it is my doorbell.”
“Go ahead, then. I'll love life a bit more if my ears can stop bleading from that bloody sound.” Mia's voice was so raspy it scared you.
“Yes, sir.” Better to obey than die from her hangover mood.
You shuffled around the bed until you found a clear space where you could get off of it. As you rise to your feet, it was clear you were still drunk. Fucking hell. Step by step, you made it to the door, where whoever it was behind it hadn't stopped ringing. It better be good.
“Yes?” You said between grinning teeth, facing a middle age guy with the nastiest face on earth. Of course. “How can I help you?”
“I have a package for you, miss.” He said after a few seconds, taking a look at you that, it seemed, wasn't pleasing, because his face kept a horrible expression the whole time. “Sign right there and I'll be out of your hallway as fast as I can.”
Huh. At least he was sincere.
“Sure…” In the middle of sighing, you realized you haven't ordered anything in a long time. “Do you know where this come from?”
“Miss, I don't get paid enough. Good morning.” Those were his last words before giving you a medium package and take off down the hallway.
“Asshole...” You whispered. As you closed the door, you studied the package. It was so normal-looking. Soft, even.
You were curious, but the hangover was stronger than anything else. The fog of sleep was off your brain, letting you check the time without feeling dizzy. Eight in the fucking morning. God, that deliverer was indeed a freaking jerk.
Leaving the package behind, you ran to the kitchen, feeling the sudden need to drink as much water as possible. When you were at your third glass, Nikki's and Mia's steps were evident behind you.
“Having a good morning, ladies?” You asked after a moment, enjoying that you weren't the only one suffering and looking like a hot mess.
“Of course. Your doorbell wake us up and now I'm in a state between wanting to eat your whole fridge and vomit all over this carpet.” Mia's words were flat-toned, but neither Nikki nor you could help but laugh. “Yeah, yeah, laugh.”
While she proceeded to scan the kitchen, Nikki eyed the package with curiosity. Then she looked at you, silently asking what was that.
“I don't have the slightest idea. The asshole that delivered it didn't tell me who sent that. I guess we'll have to open it.” You paused for a moment, worrying about one possibility. “I hope that's not my stuff from Judeʼs place.”
“Iugh.” Was all that came from both of your friends. You gave them half a smile before reaching for it again, grabbing scissors from one of the drawers.
“Let's find out.” With patience, you opened it with a clean cut, grabbing something similar to clothing from inside of it. “Oh my god...”
“Ah! Is this hell on Earth? Why is that devil boy chasing us around?” Nikki shouted.
Staring back at you, a blue jersey with “Bellingham” written in big white letters at the back greeted you. Good, not even 24 hours, and you were, once again, being reminded of your ex. Then it hit you. It wasn't Judeʼs jersey.
“Oh no...” You whispered, taking the shirt in both hands so you could see the number. 27. “It's not Judeʼs.”
“What do you mean by that? It says Bellingham.” Mia said, peaking inside the package to find a scarf and beanie. “What's this? Some sick joke?”
“No... It's... Oh God. It's Judeʼs little brother, Jobe. He doesn't know we broke up, he wants me to attend his match next month. I completely forgot that he even promised to send me a jersey with his number and some goods from the club.” Mia passed you the scarf, which read “BIRMINGHAM FC” in white. “How do I tell him? He got out of the way to send me all of this.”
“Poor kid,” Mia said, looking at the jersey with attentive eyes. “Wait… How old is this little brother?”
“Uh… Seventeen, why?” Nikki looked instantly disappointed by it. “Gross! That's illegal, Nikk!”
“I know! I thought he was like a year younger... You know, revenge fuck and all that.”
“I'll ignore you even suggested that shit.” You said with a laugh, gathering your new goods. “Hell, I think I'll have to break the news myself. Seems like Mr. Dickhead isn't brave enough to tell his brother.”
“Doesn't matter, maybe you can still attend and make him super uncomfortable.” Mia said, laughing at her own idea. “I bet he'll be pissed off by that.”
You didn't respond, but that was a good suggestion... If you were the revenge type of gal, which you weren't... Right?
“I'll text him.” You said instead, heading to the room so you could get your phone.
“Check the photos!” Nikki said before going into the bathroom. “And hand me something to wear!”
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
You wished you could be a coward and just send a text to Jobe telling him the whole truth, but he was your friend and deserved better than that.
The morning (and hangover) went away faster than you expected, and since that little “Can we meet up today?” conversation the two of you had, Nikki and Mia were long gone. Now you were getting ready to do what you didn't want to. Face your problems.
You were meeting Jobe at a nice little park where few people went at this time of year, so the conversation was secured and private. For your own sake, at least.
When you were about to finish the very much needed makeup (yep, the dark circles were still there) your phone buzzed. You picked it, noticing various messages.
✉️ Nikki: Destroy that cunt.
✉️ Mia: Don't completely destroy him, that thing it's his brother at the end of the day.
✉️ Nikki: Meh, that's not a good reason
✉️ Will be taking it into consideration.
✉️ Jobe: Getting there in 20, okay?
✉️ Same!
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
The weather was amazing if you considered the fact of being in London and in autumn. The trees looked amazing and the park, as you prevented, was almost empty. You noticed a small group of girls by a nice tree, but they were too far away to bother.
Jobe's figure was so recognizable that it didn't take you long to find him by some benches. The last time you saw him, he was a lot smaller and not that broad. Teenagers.
“Hey!” You said when you were close enough.
He turned with a smile, keeping you on the spot for a second. Yeah, he still looked a lot like Jude. You smiled back, feeling like an asshole.
“God, I thought we were never going to see each other again.” He said dramatically, pulling you into a bear hug. “What's up? It's been months.”
“I know.” You smiled again, wanting to see anything but his face. “You're taller!” Pointing the obvious was better than going straight into the subject. At least while you guys were still greeting each other.
“Hell yes I am. 6'2. I'm officially taller than your hobbit of a boyfriend. Also, why didn't you come to last night's dinner? Jude told us you couldn't make it because you were sick but in my opinion… You look far from sick.”
You smiled along because you couldn't believe Jude made up some lie instead of telling his family the truth.
“About that...” You said, assuming that ripping the band-aid off was the best way of approach, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. “I need to tell you something... Can we sit?”
He seemed to read the sudden change of atmosphere because he agreed.
“Sure, what's up? You seem worried.”
You both sat on the nearest bench, giving you the time to breathe deeply and wander your eyes around the park before looking at Jobe again. The space was almost abandoned, except for the small group of girls. They were all giggling and pushing each other while holding their phones. You wishes you were that careless again.
“Your brother and I broke up.” You said suddenly, feeling great once the words came out of your mouth. “Well, he broke up with me.” You laughed a bit, not knowing why.
“He did what?!” You didn't expect Jobe's sudden scream, making you jump on the spot.
“God! Jobe, don't scream like that!” You pushed him without actual force.
“Maybe I heard you wrong… Jude did what?” You stayed silent, looking at his angry expression with a half smile. “That cunt… Why did he lie to us, then? When did this happen?”
“A week ago when I was visiting him.” You shrugged, feeling a bit dumb for venting to him. “We were just arriving home- I mean, his place, and just as I took a sit on the couch he said that we should break up. I got up immediately, then ask what did he say. He repeated it and proceeded to tell me his reasons. I kinda acted by impulse and got out of there within an hour. He offered to let me stay with him, pay for my hotel, or even pay back a ticket. It sounded like…” You paused again, not wanting the keep showing weakness toward the subject.
“Charity?” Jobe suggested.
“Yeah, like pity mixed with charity. So I rejected that and took a taxi to the airport… Well, that's what happened. So, I'm sorry for not telling you before. I thought he was the one for that job.” You held his arm lightly, smiling a bit. “Now that you know that… I don't think I'll be able to attend your match, honey.”
His face fell a bit, but recomposed instantly. His eyes were determined when he took the hand you put on his arm, holding it on his.
“You are coming.” He said, smiling when you looked at him with doubt. “I don't care that Jude broke up with you. You're my friend and I want you there. Also, I spend money on that package, I won't let it go to waste.”
“You're such an asshole!” You barked, laughing. “But okay, as you wish, my lord. But don't expect me to acknowledge him.”
“I wasn't expecting you to do so... Also, he doesn't deserve it either. You're coming, and if he feels uncomfortable, then he'll have to deal with it.” This time, he was the one to make a pause before laughing. “God, Mom is going to be so mad at him... You are her favorite daughter-in-law.”
“I'll miss her too.”
“You can still visit while he's at Dortmund. Mom and Dad will always greet with open arms.” He got up, giving you an smile. “Come on, let's get something to eat. I need to tell you a few things.”
“Oh! Is that about the girl you liked?”
“Shhhh! Don't say it out loud. God, you're lucky that you're still family.”
You laughed at his blushing cheeks, feeling grateful that at least you didn't lost your little brother.
Jobe was right. Life was more than Jude, even when he kept popping up on your mind and aspects of your life.
It was going to be okay. You could do this.
