a carefully wrapped bundle of something, surrounded in brightly colored paper, has made its way to the brother's room. a few hours late, of course. a slip of paper reads 'happy birthday,' and inside the paper are a small bundle of lemon candies, and for some reason, a drawing of starry dragon's, circling outertale, with the added note, 'yours were better, but I'm getting there.'

a second, much smaller package, hold several pieces of well worn sea glass, strung to hang in a small display to catch the light. gold and purples and aquas, and a 'Happy birthday, from fluffdad,' written in tiny script beside..

time and space are what they are in the omniverse, but someone definitely remains unforgotten...

I still haven't yet absorbed enough approximate knowledge from ur blog to no seemingly anything about blaseball and I don't know why this is. What is it? I assume baseball is somehow involved but that could be horriblely terribly incorrect.

honestly thats not surprising bc we havent had any blaseball for a while, and what we HAVE had isnt in the normal timeline, so a lot of people remain pretty sleepy. so to explain:

blaseball is an absurdist baseball simulator that is basically what u get if fantasy football was both a random number generator and an ARG. and was also fucking insane. there are 24 teams, such as the charleston shoe thieves, the tokyo lift, the new york millennials, and my team, the hawai‘i fridays. there are also several currently known blaseball gods (such as THE SHELLED ONE aka the peanut, The Boss aka the coin, and binky / the monitor / the hall monitor who is a very large squid), which are entities that appear on the site during site events and are how blaseball is able to have a plot. right now, regular-timeline blaseball is not running, though it's supposed to resume with season 25 sometime soon this year. HOWEVER, the final "short circuit" (the last in a series of alternate-timeline one shot mini universes that last two weeks) starts TODAY in about 3 hours (11am eastern / 8am pacific) and frankly i am very excited!

so yeah if ur curious, blaseball takes place on blaseball.com! watching games is just watching the little text box tell u what happens, and theres pretty much no difference between what's fanon and canon. it's very queer because people want it to be, so they put it into the lore, and theres also a ton of players who are poc or disabled or whatever other minority group you want, OR animals or robots or whatever the fuck else. blaseball is absolutely fucking insane, best taken at ur own pace, and A LOT of fun! and u dont need to know anything about baseball, either, you can pretty much learn from watching gameplay. but dont be afraid to ask questions! there is ALWAYS gonna be someone whos happy to answer, and the official discords pretty great for that.

(also, important to note: blaseball is always gonna leave u with more questions than there even are extant answers. so sometimes something just IS)
