"You're with someone?!"
Flayn almost spits the tea from her mouth. Her heart races—so much so that the pounding serves to muffle all the rest of his words. She thinks she's already caught the most important, anyway.
She leans forward. Her intrigue melts away all tension. Its transforming power makes her into a hungry beast, prowling about the conversation with an eagerness to strike. Love has always thrilled her, even if it wasn't her own. There was always something about it that Flayn never tired of hearing. How many nights had she lay awake thinking of it? How many pages of romance novels had she snuck in between Reason tomes and Faith scriptures? She consumed it just about as much as it consumed her.
Looking now at Alm, she sees a completely different person. She sees someone with a wonderful story to tell, and a beautiful love to share!
"Oh, Alm, words cannot express how delighted I am to hear that!" Flayn sets down her teacup and leans back into her chair, sighing dreamily. Her eyes travel from the surrounding bushes to the distant horizon, and she looks at the sun as if she might soon kiss it. "Romance is always so thrilling… how I wish I could experience such things for myself!"
She sighs once more, this time a bit sadder. Self-pity is never a thing she wishes to wallow in, but recent tragedies have sprung melancholy onto her. She knows why she cannot experience love the way others do. It's probably why she loves to hear their stories. An author for a father has shown her all the power of written word!
"Ah, but let's not make this about me…" whipping her head back towards him, Flayn once again looks at Alm with a hungry gleam in her eye, "do tell me all about this special someone! Have you been together for long? Are they in the monastery? How did you first meet?"
A gasp. "Have you two kissed before?!"

NekuShiki question time! :)
Tell us about one of their vacations they went on together!
Any funny/silly headcanons you want to share?
Who would propose to the other and how?
Hey Anon, so let me start off with saying how completely honored I am to have someone interested in my headcanons. I was honestly so shocked and you literally made my day so thank you. Please see bottom for notes. Now to the ask,
Vacations
My idea for right after the first game, before A New Day and before NEO, is that the gang would all have a typical beach vacation. Some place local, since these kids are still teens, and they are all typically broke. Eri would be along for the ride too because Shiki wouldn’t travel without her best friend, and also because Eri would just invite herself. Even if Eri trusts and loves Rhyme, she definitely doesn’t trust the boys to be alone with her cute best friend on a weekend trip.
They take the train to the beach, and it’s time to get changed. Eri picked out a bathing suit for Shiki, that’s not exactly revealing but less conservative than Shiki would have liked.
“I can’t wear that! Is that the only one you brought me?” Shiki’s voice raised in a panic.
“Shiki, it’s really not that bad. It’s a tankini and it will look cute on you!”
Her insecurities were screaming at her. No way could she go out in public wearing that! The top is practically see through!
“Eri, this may look cute on other people, but not me. I-I can’t pull this look off, I’m not —”
“Are you girls okay in there?”
They both turned to the closed door. The changing room is open air, so even though Neku couldn’t see anything, he could hear everything.
“Shiki, I have an idea. Is there anyone else inside?”
“No, why?”
“Eri, come guard the door.”
“Neku, if you think I’m going to let you into the girls changing room —“
“I’ll keep my eyes closed, I just need to give Shiki something.”
“I could just —“
“Just come to the door, Eri. Shiki, put the swimsuit on, I’m not going to look.”
“But!”
“I’m tying something around my eyes, I’ll be quick.”
He heard some shuffling and the door opened. Eri guided Neku into the room, and once inside she shut the door. Shiki touched his elbow to let him know where she was, and he offered her the cloth he was holding.
“What are you?”
“Just turn around.”
She did as he asked, and he draped his short-sleeved cotton shirt over her shoulders, trying very hard not to touch her bare skin, even if he thought otherwise.
“My shirt’s long enough to cover pretty much all of you, and you can’t enjoy the beach if you’re feeling self conscious about your swimsuit. You’ll get there one day, even if that day may not be today.”
The UG gang knew how low Shiki’s self confidence was, and even though Eri was very attentive to Shiki’s needs, sometimes her methods of getting Shiki to own herself weren’t always the best. The seamstress was getting better every day, but when she is with her best friend, who looks great in a bikini, those feelings she once had still linger. Some things just take more time and Neku wanted Shiki to have fun today, without having to worry about what she looked like.
He couldn’t see the smile she was wearing, or the blush of her cheeks, but he heard her sigh of relief.
“Thanks Neku.” He stayed with her as she finished getting ready, which wasn’t very long, and sooner than later, Shiki took Neku’s hand to guide him back out of the room. When the coast was clear thanks to Eri’s watchful eye, the pair walked into the sunshine and only then could Neku see Shiki, who was in his shirt that was flowing around her loosely, buttoned only around her waist, her green two piece swimsuit still modestly visible.
Leave it to Shiki to find a way to make a simple shirt look fashionable.
And for Neku, who was a little awestruck, claiming the sun made his face flush, smirked to himself as Eri complimented Shiki on her new look. She looked perfect in his shirt.
Cute/Silly head cannons
Neku living with Shiki, and she’s so busy she doesn’t really cook for herself/eats unhealthy. He’s straight up appalled. So he teaches himself how to cook and essentially turns into a domestic househusband. Cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, feeding Mrs. Mew (her black cat that she adopted when Neku was in the UG) etc. When the kiddos (twisters) come over, Neku’s in the kitchen while Shiki entertains for a bit, brings them all tea wearing an adorable apron, and kisses her on the check before setting the serving plate down in the kitchen to come back and join everyone. I long for domestic fluff.
Proposal
I feel like Neku would totally try planning out this creative and artistic proposal, his kiddos would be dying to help him out. Shoka would go nuts making sure her mentor got the most gorgeous proposal setting, she would grumble as Fret tried to help out in an most exaggerated way, and Rindo would try to prevent Shoka from killing Fret who she finds is ruining his plan. Neku would just let them be as long and they weren’t doing anything dangerous, and he agreed that a girl who changed him for the better AND waited for his return after three years did deserve the best. When push comes to shove and it’s about to happen, the twisters and the original crew watching (and recording) them, Neku gets so nervous he ends up messing up, but Shiki totally understands what he’s saying and she pops the question. And it’s kind of like Amity and Luz from the Owl House.
Neku’s looking everywhere but at her, and Shiki can tell he’s so nervous that he’s starting to stutter. She finds it funny that this once emo teen turned into a suave young adult was now reduced to a bumbling mess. “What I’m trying to say is —”
“Will you marry me?” Shiki interjected, reading his mind. She’s so excited that she could burst.
He was relieved that it’s out in the open, but disappointed it was not he who popped the question he had prepared so long for. He’s pouting but also smiling as he whines, “Ah no, I was going to say it.”
Shiki giggles like a schoolkid as she waves her hand in the air to placate him, “okay, okay, go ahead.” In an attempt to take his pending question more seriously, Shiki bit her lips together, but couldn’t fight the corners of her mouth lifting upward in a goofy grin.
He bent his right knee onto the pavement, took her hands in his, looked her in the eye and breathed out, “Shiki Misaki, will you marry me?”
“Yes!”
He had 0.1 seconds to kiss her before he’s mauled to the ground by their friends. Eri and Shoka grabbed Shiki, screaming so loudly it drew the attention of commuters all around them. He has to calm them down so he can put the ring on his fiancee’s finger, a mere afterthought that after all the suffering everyone in the group has gone through, they all have something amazing to celebrate.
Note: I’m sorry this reply is so late, but I wanted to think about what to say and I ended up writing little ficlets for you, so I hope you can forgive me! And thank you again for prompting me, I find it hard to write sometimes and this really encouraged me to write more. If you, or anyone else likes these, please feel free to send me more prompts, I might even make a ficlet collection on Ao3 if anyone is interested!

Will We Be Friends When We Grow Old?
A Tsugumi and Shoka fic. Oneshot. Major Neo spoilers.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/33277189
More detailed plot summary: Tsugumi helps to comfort Shoka about the loss of Ayano, as they hold a memorial for her. This fic is mainly platonic. Though some slight one-sided shipping ended up in here (Tsugumi towards Shoka), but it’s blink and you miss it and you can still choose to see it as platonic. Also, RindoShoka and Neku and background someone. For me, it’s Shiki. But I didn’t specify, and you could maybe imagine it as someone else. Tsugumi’s PoV. Oneshot. Canon compliant
Tsugumi had only been in Shinjuku again for a few weeks—trying to figure out how they could bring it back from the brink, and have it be shiny and new again—when she got a call from Shoka, begging her to come back to Shibuya for a bit, because she needed someone with her who could understand the crippling loss of Ayano and be there for a memorial.
And while this was a tiny bit inconvenient—because Kaie had electronics mapped to Tsugumi’s head right now, in thinking maybe her visions of Shinjuku could help to create it, and then they could use something like a 3D printer to recreate it... after they made one that strong—Tsugumi knew that she would happily tell her friend Kaie to wait a little longer on this, so she could go comfort Shoka.
After all, how long had she been trapped in her Mr. Mew doll because of that bastard Kubo, before Shiki’s kind soul had wrestled her out of it? So, Tsugumi thought she could wait longer for her home to surface from the seas again, too.
Especially since Tsugumi knew it had to be hard for Shoka right now, without her old family. She had the Wicked Twisters... and while Tsugumi was sure they were trying their best to help soothe Shoka’s pain about Ayano’s erasure, it probably wouldn’t mean as much as someone doing the same who understood the loss themselves.
So, Tsugumi delicately removed the wires from her head, texted Shoka that she'd be there in a jiffy, and then looked to Kaie, who was definitely looking at her questioningly right now.
"Sorry, Kaie," Tsugumi reassured her dear friend, as she patted his hand. "Can this wait for a week? I want Shinjuku back as soon as you do. I swear. But Shoka needs me. It seems she's having a memorial service for Ayano, and needs the support. I'll be back in a week, okay?"
'That's fine', Kairi texted Tsugumi near instantly, once her words had seemed to reach his ears. 'Be sure to give Shoka my best.'
And Tsugumi smiled at Kaie even brighter now, because something about hearing him care about Shoka was aligning her soul, when a part of her had been afraid that her Shinjuku family would never reconnect with Shoka again. But clearly she needn't have worried. And that was a very beautiful thing, indeed.
"Don't worry!" she promised Kaie, her hand on her heart. "I will."
...
It didn't take Tsugumi too long to get back to Shibuya with her Reaper wings.
And one of the first things she saw when she arrived there, was Shoka and Rindo leaving 104... and Shoka wearing white clothes, of all things! Rindo was wearing all white, too.
And though it took Tsugumi a second to guess why, she did eventually figure out the reason. Shoka liked this one book series called "The Mortal Instruments", and in that, the characters with special powers—the Shadowhunters—wore white to funerals, instead of black. And Shoka must have been doing that here, since she usually wore black, and must have gotten Rindo to go along with that, as well... even though he usually seemed to wear a lot of white, from what Tsugumi had seen, he was wearing nothing but it now. And Tsugumi knew she would have to do the same thing.
"Shoka, it's so good to see you!" Tsugumi exclaimed as soon as she found her voice, running up to her surrogate sister and giving her a hug. "And I'm so sorry that I didn't think about that leaving you here alone, would mean leaving you to deal with the loss of Ayano alone. But I'm here now. And since here funeral is going to be ‘City of Bones’ themed... I can get the instrumental for for 'When the Darkness Comes' to sing, if you want."
"Thank you so much, Tsugumi!" Shoka cried, pulling Tsugumi only tighter into her arms. And Tsugumi was completely happy to be there, as she stroked Shoka’s hair and took in the sweet smell of Shoka’s raspberry scented perfume once again. “That sounds great. I'm so glad you're here, Tsugumi! And I'm so glad to see you again!" And Shoka kissed Tsugumi on the cheek then, leaving a stain of red lipstick there for the moment... until Tsugumi had to sort of awkwardly wipe it off (though maybe it actually wasn’t too awkward for Tsugumi at all).
And speaking of awkward, it was clear that Rindo felt that way right now. And Tsugumi wondered if he was second-guessing his place as Shoka's best friend at the moment.
But he was definitely that, Tsugumi was ashamed to say. Because the “The Mortal Instruments” was one of the few things Tsugumi knew about Shoka lately, since she'd been so focused on saving Shinjuku, she’d let her fall through the cracks. And how she desperately regretted that.
"I don't know if it's gonna be much of a funeral," Rindo explained to Tsugumi now, maybe thinking it was best that she got all the detes? "I asked Shoka if she wanted one for Ayano, and told her my mom could help pay for it and everything. But she said she'd rather just have a short vigil at Miyashita Park, where we can leave tributes to her. Though I'm sure you could sing during it, if you'd like."
"Thank you," Tsugumi told Mr. Twister, looking at him with her eyes shining. She thought it was pretty sweet, that even though the event would be short, he would make time for his former enemy to sing, if she would wish it. Tsugumi might have even started fangirling over him then, as much as she did Lord Ishimoto, if she hadn't realized then that she might be too choked up to sing. Because she was still heartbroken up about Ayano, too. And thoughts of her, often brought on thoughts of Big Su, that would really start up the waterworks in her...
"So, were we planning on going right now, then?" Tsugumi asked. But it was pretty obvious by the way that Shoka and Rindo were dressed, that that was the case. "Wow. I made it just in time, then!"
"I would have done it a second time with you, if you'd been late," Shoka assured Tsugumi, taking her hand. "And I'll do the same for Shiba, Kaie, and even Hishima, whenever they get their asses up here."
At this point, Rindo had pretty much disappeared into the scenery of 104, the poor kid—Tsugumi did feel bad about leaving him out, she wasn't trying to, but this sort of was a moment for her and Shoka right now—but thankfully, Neku, Fret... and some prissy looking kid seemed to be showing up for him, and Shoka, too, to keep him occupied.
"Kaie told me to send you his love," Tsugumi promised Shoka, squeezing her hands. "And I'm sure he'll be down right after I am. And Shiba and Hishima care, too. You know them, Shoka. They really do, deep down, as do I. And I'm so sorry if I ever made that unclear. But they might wait until Shinjuku is in some proper form again, before they stop by. But I know they will. And you could always come visit us, you know! In fact, please do, Shoka. Please?! With sugar on top!
"Anyway, let me go to 104 and buy some all-white clothes, and then we can get this solemn show on the road!"
And Tsugumi did just that.
They ended up getting forget-me-nots for Ayano, to let her know she would never be forgotten. And since, sadly, the fact she had never forgotten Shinjuku was part of the reason she could never embrace Shibuya, Shoka had let Tsugumi know. And even Blue Pepsi, since she loved the beverage and it somewhat matched her favorite shirt, and the Maximum Ride book series, since there was a character named "Iggy" in there, like her iguana.
And Shoka left her her Mr. Mew hoodie, thinking that maybe Ayano would like to have it, and might understand her love for Gatto Nero now, wherever her soul pieces were.
And Tsugumi did sing for her, though she broke key once, as the tears overwhelmed her... but Neku had chimed right in then, and had covered it up and no one had heard anything wrong. And if Neku hadn’t already been in a committed relationship, Tsugumi could have kissed him for it.
A girl named Rhyme had a few adages to say... as did Nagi say some very wise things over their gathered items.
And Fret bought a long scarf to tie off a part of Miyashita Park with all of the stuff here, so no one would mess with it for a while. Rindo had helped Fret do that (and had then gone back to holding Shoka). Rindo was also largely responsible for all of this, Tsugumi knew, so she definitely knew he was going to be on her Christmas list from now on.
Shiki had looked rather pained when Rindo and Fret had stretched the scarf so thinly, though—as if expecting it to rip right away—and had already broke out her needle and thread, and might have been creeping closer and closer to it as she eyed it...
And then Beat banged a small drum at the end of it all, to then try and make them all feel better—which was much appreciated, because Tsugumi didn't know if she liked where Joshua was so intently watching where Ayano had apparently fallen—as he told everyone that Ayano wouldn't want them to grieve... Shoka and Tsugumi, anyway.
And it was truly an event to remember. And Tsugumi knew that she would for as long as she existed in her non-life.
She even had new friends now, that she hadn't counted on at all when she'd started this venture here.
She'd thought she'd stay jealous of them and not fully understand why Shoka had left her family.
But now Tsugumi was hugging Shoka goodbye and promising she'd visit Shibuya and the Twisters again soon... though still making sure to try and needle Shoka into visiting Shinjuku, too.
"It's been great, Shoka. See you soon, dark girl," Tsugumi teased, running her hands up and down the lady's arms, as she did so.
And she could pretty much hear Shoka smirk—or perhaps purr—as she shot back with lips and teeth against Tsugumi's cheek, "And see you soon, light girl."
And then Tsugumi's visit to Shibuya turned out better than even Shiba could have guessed when he'd been the Executor.
Because by a literal miracle... spilling into Shoka's apartment, to hug them both now—as all three sobbed, and made promises to hold onto each other and never act so foolishly again—was Ayano.
Author’s Note: The ending with Ayano coming back is super cheesy, I know. And I sort of hate to write it. But when I had Joshua at the memorial too, I knew it had to happen.
This will be the one TWEWY story I write, that sort of cheapens death. The anime soften TWEWY’s blows by bringing Nao and Sota and Def March back to life (which I appreciated, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think they were brought back in the game. And I get why they weren’t: to not cheapen death). So, this will be the one where I soften Neo’s blows, I guess.
Hope you all enjoyed!
Oh, and the title is a lyric from the song “End of the Line” by Christi Mac, which is pretty good. I couldn’t think of anything else to name it, so I went with that. -shrugs-
And, yes. I do think Tsugumi ended up with one-sided feelings for Shoka in this. I didn’t intend this when I wrote it, but it just happened… which is sort of what gave birth to my theory on Tumblr, about me wondering if maybe Tsugumi was actually beta!Rindo. And I believe that now, but it’s just a game theory, as MatPat would say. But anyway, you guys can also gladly ignore those one-sided feelings that sort of crept up in here, if you want, and see this all as platonic as it was meant to be, if you want! Or not! Whatever floats your boat!
And while I wanted to write something for Shoka and Tsugumi—because the game hinted at their friendship, but then didn’t do much with it—someone on Tumblr actually responded to my post about that and gave me the idea to have Tsugumi help Shoka deal with the loss of Ayano. But now I can’t find the commenter. But shoutout to them. If it was you and you’re reading this—or anyone here knows who it was—let me know, so I can give credit where credit is due!
Shutting up now!

Week 3, Day 7
Safety cut, line breaks where the original posts ended.
The Final Day
“I bet you don’t even know what the word ‘nervous’ means.”
“‘Ey, why you gotta call me out like dat, Phones?”
I have missed these two. :’) For the record, I’m fucking terrified.
OKAY THE CITY BEING THIS DARK IS AWFUL I HATE IT. NOPE.
-----------------------
Beat. Answer your phone. It’s probably Rhyme. BEAT. THE PHONE. NOW.
-____-
Why. *facepalm*
-----------------------
I may have zoomed right past Kariya and Uzuki with Soundsurf before I even registered they were there. Thankfully the game didn’t let me zoom too far. >.>
I simultaneously have the warm fuzzies cuz ~teamwork~ and a yawning abyss of dread in my stomach cuz this is it.
I’ve always hated those last talks before the final battle. They make you so horrifically aware of exactly how much you stand to lose, even if you win.
I do not like that I have to go to Udagawa to meet Kaie. I am hella paranoid about that place. Aaaah.
-----------------------
Shout out to Hishima standing there to tell me he’s looking for someone? And then not telling me who? Bruh.
Kaie is waiting for someone who holds incredible power of the non-supernatural variety. So Rhyme or Shiki? Cuz everyone else is currently accounted for or VERY supernatural.
Well that was a weird detour.
-----------------------
An aside: Beat is all grown up and doesn’t flail at his full name anymore.
-----------------------
Beat Shiba. There’s no way this is real.
Oh now time has stopped. Good. THE PEOPLE ARE TURNING INTO NOISE WHAT. (This is about to descend into an unreadable mess I suspect. Sorry.)
How did I get a B I almost died. I think that meteor thing almost managed to hit eesh. Alright. Here comes the shit storm.
Oooh Rindo. Straight savage. I love his habit of throwing people’s words back that them. It’s the best kind of fuck you. It’s way too early to celebrate my dudes. There’s still no way we’re done.
“Executor”? Oh I do not like that.
Damn he died without going Noise.
I had really hoped Kubo wasn’t coming back. This was very naive.
4:44:44. Of course.
Also, OH FUCK. RINDO’S PIN JUST ERUPTED KUBO IS THE SOURCE OF THE DISSONANCE I CAN’T THINK WHAT DO.
NO DON’T YOU HU- NEKUUUUUUUUUUU!! He. He. He killed… he erased Neku. No. no no nononononononoooooo. And the Inversion-!
What IS he?! (I think I’ve gone non-verbal oh dear)
Another Angel. It’s official. I hate the higher plane. I didn’t like them before, the whole business with how cut off the Composer is has always struck me as designed to fail and massively fuck up but this. This is so much worse.
Why?! Why would… Why would they decide to destroy Shinjuku and Shibuya..?
Shit, Rindo has been Kubo’s proxy. Shit shit. This is so much worse than the reveal that Neku was Joshua’s proxy. Joshua hadn’t actually DONE IT yet. This fucker has actively done it once and is in the middle of succeeding again. Oh god.
Minamimoto. He was looking for a way to consume and control the Noise Rindo was generating. That’s why he needed a sample. His first attempt didn’t work and it fucked him up, like the Plague Noise have been doing all week. Shit I really hope he’s had time to figure it out. I vote we go back, un-erase Neku before I throw up, find Sho, get him fucking cooperate for once in his existences, no that’s not a typo he’s died like 4 times, then destroy the pin before Fuckwad here can call the Noise out of it.
We’ll only get one shot though.
I’m gonna unpause now.
Okay watching Shoka get got like that. That was. Extremely unnecessary.
I do not envy Rindo having to explain all this oh boy.
-----------------------
It just registered that we’re about to try to kill AN ANGEL. Fuck me. I remember Panthera Cantus. Oh boy.
I don’t know how well talking to Shiba is going to work, when he’s probably the way he is because Fuckwad did something to him on a Soul level.
Lmao that went poorly. Shocker. And now, a scavenger hunt across time~
-----------------------
The scavenger hunt has yielded
Hishima and Shiba used to be good friends but Hishima refuses to be overtly helpful
Rhyme has mad hacking skills and Beat still hasn’t looked at his damn phone
“Must be from a higher plane. Everyone from up there is some kind of weirdo, let me tell you.” KARIYA. WHAT. HOW MANY HAVE YOU MET!? Also like, most of the Reapers aren’t supposed to know about this shit. I remember the secret reports very well thanks. Only the Composer knows they exist.
Coco called Fuckwad a must, dusty, crusty old cretin and this gives me LIFE. Otherwise was very unhelpful.
Uzuki just had an ‘oh my god they were partners’ moment re: Hishima and Shiba and I’m half giggling cuz my brain made it a meme and half having Feels cuz “things go south with your partner and then that’s it?” halp my emotions.
SHE JUST CALLED HIM HELLO!? XD UZUKI I LOVE YOU. SHE STILL HAS NO CHILL SHE’S JUST MORE PRODUCTIVE ABOUT IT.
“Can you imagine? Being played like that… and then having everyone just abandon you like you’re nothing?” It wasn’t until Fuckwad said what he is that I stopped being out for blood. I was assuming that whatever had happened to change Shiba, he had played a part in it himself. But if someone that much more powerful came and started messing with his head and his soul then yeah, he deserves to be snapped out of that and to be himself again. If what he became isn’t his own fault, if it wasn’t because he messed with something he shouldn’t have, then yeah. Make this stop. Then we’ll see.
-----------------------
Damn Hishima going straight for the jugular. Respect.
We got our cease-fire for now though. Shoutout to Neku casually reassuring him we’ll fight him to the death if shit doesn’t kick off. Like that’s totally normal. Aiya.
-----------------------
A thought, as Fuckwad is gloating over how screwed we are: Minamimoto want’s to “approach infinity”. Which in this case might not mean ‘I want to be Composer’, it might mean ‘I’m trying to make the jump to Angel’. In which case… That would be very good for us, I think. Certainly couldn’t be worse, at any rate.
(Exact line I’m on: If you thought that Noise gave you a good beating last time around, just wait till you see it now. You kids are in for a world of hurt. (No, I am not typing out his weird lisp thing.))
-----------------------
Oh gooooooooood damn it not again.
OH MY GOD SHOKA IS- SHOKA IS SWALLOW!?!?! HELLO!?!?!? I had completely forgotten Swallow even existed with all the madness.
THat. THaT JUST HAPPENED
AND FUCKING HE BROKE OUR PIN NO NONONONO OKAY OKAY HOW ARE WE GETTING OUT OF THIS THERES A WAY WHAT IS IT
Hello giant beam of light what??? I am massively confused. How. What. I do not understand what is happening. What is. GOING ON.
This post is long as fuck I’mma just make a new one.

The Lost Princess Chapter 58
warnings: do i even need to say it
rating: SFW
“WHAT THE HELL?!” the twins shouted.
“Eek!” Rumi yelped.
“How did she go missing?! You were the one with her!” Roxy said.
“I don’t know. We passed out and the next thing I knew, she was gone,” Sora said.
“Grr...She should’ve stayed with us. That way, she wouldn’t have been kidnapped!” Yui said.
“Did you see who kidnapped her?” Xemnas said.
“No. Both of us were knocked out cold,” Sora said.
“Well, I know that you’ll find her. You always have. Now we must get back to the task at hand,” Yen Sid said.
“But--” Roxy said.
“Roxy,” Xemnas warned. Roxy scoffed and listened to what Yen Sid, Xemnas, and Ansem had to say.
“Long ago, in the age of fairy tales, the World was filled with light--a gift, many believed, from an unseen power known as "Kingdom Hearts." You see, Kingdom Hearts was protected by its counterpart, the "Chi-blade," so that none could ever lay hands on its mysteries. But in time, the World was overrun by legions who wanted the light all for themselves, and the first shadows were cast upon the land. These warriors crafted ‘Keyblades’ in the image of the original Chi-blade, and waged a great war over Kingdom Hearts. We call this the ‘Keyblade War.’ But though the war extinguished all light from the World, the darkness could not reach the brightness inside every child's heart. With that light, the World was remade as we know it today, with countless smaller worlds shining like stars in the sky. As for the real Chi-blade, it did not survive the battle. The two elements that created it, one of darkness and one of light, shattered into twenty pieces--seven of light; thirteen of darkness. And as for the source of all light--the one true Kingdom Hearts--it was swallowed by the darkness, never to be seen again. As long as it remains there, even the brightest world will have its dark corners. After all, light begets darkness, and darkness is drawn to light. For this reason, some decided to use the Keyblade-- a weapon designed to conquer the light--to defend the light instead. These were the first heroes of the Keyblade,” Yen Sid said.

Sora awoke in Traverse Town with a jolt.
“Where is he?” he asked. He looked over and saw that Rumi and Yui were with him.
“Rumi! Yui!” he said.
“Wh-why am I back here?” Rumi asked, nervously.
“It’s okay, Rumi. Sora and I are gonna protect you. Right, Sora?” Yui said.
“R-right,” Sora said.
“Hey Sora. Who were you talking about?” Rumi said.
“Before I fell asleep, Neku said that he and that creep in the coat had a ‘deal.’ But what was the deal? Are the two of them in league? That can't be right... We never even found Neku's partner. I guess we should just take a look around,” Sora said.
“Agreed,” Yui said. The three of them made their way to the First District and found a hidden entrance to the Post Office beneath the tall mailbox in the square. Through there, they traveled to the Fourth District.
“Wow! Never been this way before!” Sora said.
“Neither have I!” Rumi said. The three of them spotted a large stadium with balloons.
“Ooh! What's that?” Rumi said. The three of them saw a young kid talking to a Moogle.
“Hey, um...any chance you're Neku's partner?” Yui asked.
“Huh?” the kid asked. They turned to face him, the Moogle flapping his tiny wings. “Umm...I'm not really sure. All I know is that my name is Rhyme.”
“You mean...you've lost your memory?” Sora asked.
“Yep.”
“Oh. Sorry...”
“Aw, it's no big deal. You know what they always say--’Sometimes memories just need a little help getting out.’”
“Yeah...that's true. Huh, ‘a little help’... I know! Maybe Neku can jog your memory! Come on, Rhyme. Let's go find him!” Rumi said.
“Right!” They walked into the Fifth District, which housed a large multilevel garden. Rumi looked up and saw Neku standing on the roof. They soon reached his level.
“Neku!” Rumi said.
“What? Rumi? You’re back? Sora...You actually still trust me?” Neku asked.
“Of course I do,” Sora said.
“But you know that I tricked you, right? That guy in the black coat, he said he could send me home--me and my partner--but I had to bring you to him first. He was also with two women. They wanted (Y/N). I’m sorry.” Neku hung his head down.
“Wait, black coat? Oh no,” Yui said.
“W-what is it?” Rumi asked.
“The Organization. They want (Y/N) for something. And I don’t even want to say it,” Sora said.
“Well, it’ll be no big deal. You’ve taken care of them before. I’m sure you can do it again. Now then, Neku--this here is Rhyme. Is she your Game partner?” Rumi said.
“No. Sorry. I'm teamed up with somebody else,” Neku said. Suddenly, Rhyme vanished. “Huh?”
“What? Rhyme!” Yui said. The cloaked figure appeared in the center of the rooftop along with two cloaked women. Sora readied his Keyblade while Yui and Rumi summoned their guardians and Neku ran toward the cloaked people, who knocked him away with ease.
“Neku!” Rumi said. The man raised his arms as a large Hockomonkey Nightmare appears, floating in the air above them and the two women summoned a group of Negaverse’s. A corridor of darkness appeared behind them, and began to walk inside it.
“Huh? Hey, wait!” Sora said. Him and the girls ran forward, but the corridor closed and the Nightmare and Negaverse’s blocked their path.
“Out of our way!” Yui said. After a tough battle, Sora and the girls defeated the Hockomonkey and the Negaverse’s. Meanwhile, Riku woke up in the Second District, Roxy right next to him.
“What happened? Did I fall asleep?” he asked.
“How should I know?” Roxy asked. Riku got up and walked around, Roxy following close behind.
“Where are Joshua and Beat?” he asked.
“Who?” Roxy asked.
“Uh, nevermind.”
“Hey, do you mind?” someone asked. Riku and Roxy turned and saw a girl running away from some Dream Eaters and Negaverse’s. Him and Roxy chased them to the First District, finding them surrounding her at a closed-off door. He summoned his Keyblade while Roxy summoned her guardian.
“Stay back,” Riku said. Him and Roxy took out all the Dream Eaters and Negaverse’s and faced the girl with pink hair. She held a cute cat doll in her hands.
“Seriously, thanks. I'm Shiki, how 'bout you?” she said.
“Riku.”
“The name’s Roxy.”
“Thanks, Riku and Roxy.”
“Sure,” Riku said. Him and Roxy started to leave.
“Hey! That's it? You chat up a girl and then just say, ‘Sure,’ and walk off?” Shiki said.
“Look sweetcheeks. I’m here to find my sister and my best friend, okay? I don’t have time to talk to people like you,” Roxy said. Riku stopped and looked at Shiki.
“Sorry about her. She doesn’t know how to control her anger sometimes,” Riku said.
“I HEARD THAT!” Roxy yelled.
“Look, it's not safe here. You should go home.”
“If it's dangerous, how can you just leave me here? Aren't you my knight in shining armor?” Shiki asked. She played with her doll while talking and winked at him. “Well?”
“Kn-knight? You've got the wrong idea,” Riku said.
“Omigosh, I was so just kidding. You get out much?”
“He doesn’t!” Roxy said. Riku crossed his arms, unable to form words.
“You remind me of this guy I know. Well, good thing we met,” Shiki said.
“Yeah, great,” Riku said. Him, Roxy, and Shiki walked to the Fifth District. At that moment, Sora, Rumi, and Yui and Neku reached ground level, seeing an image of Riku, Roxy, and Shiki, who held her cat doll.
“Riku!” Sora said.
“Roxy!” Rumi and Yui said.
“Over there!” Shiki said. Sora, Rumi, and Yui saw the girl's image ran off toward a staircase and they started to run over to Riku and Roxy.
“Hold on, guys,” someone said.
“Hey! We should stick together!” Riku said. Shiki cried out in alarm.
“Perfect,” Roxy said. A Portal appeared behind Sora, Rumi, and Yui, who watched the image of Riku and Roxy run after the girl. Joshua appeared before Sora, Rumi, Yui, and Neku.
“Joshua,” Neku said.
“Hello, Neku. How long the days without you have felt,” Joshua said. Suddenly, Rhyme reappeared.
“Rhyme! I'm glad you're okay,” Sora said. Rhyme smiled.
“Neku, do you know this guy?” Rumi asked.
“Yeah. Joshua. He's my...friend,” Neku said.
“Okay... Are you the one who took Rhyme away? And...why do you know our names?” Yui asked.
“If you'd like to settle down for a sec, I'll field your questions one at a time. Let's start with Rhyme. I'm hanging on to her dreams for her. They're my Portal,” Joshua said. Yui and Sora crossed their arms, looking confused.
“Let's just say, her dreams are a gateway between worlds. Next question--how could I possibly know your name--right? This town has a little secret. It only appears when someone out there has need of shelter. I'll spare you the details, but right now it's made up of my dreams. So of course I know you--I dreamed you up. I know your best friend, Riku, too,” Joshua said.
“Really? You know Riku?” Sora asked.
“What about Roxy? And (Y/N)?” Rumi asked.
“Hmm, nothing on them. But I can always find a way. I'm kind of omniscient.”
“Where’s Riku?” Sora asked. Riku and Roxy stopped running as they turned the corner at the staircase.
“You can't expect me to--” Riku said. They saw three cloaked figures, Shiki's doll at the man’s feet.
“Shiki! No way...” Roxy said. The man stepped on the doll and kicked it away.
“How did you get here?” he asked.
“Who are you?” Riku asked. The doll hit him in the chest.
“By choice or chance? You cannot control what you're not aware of,” the first woman said. The figures began to walk down the stairs towards Riku and Roxy, who backed away slowly. Joshua turned toward the staircase, where Sora, Rumi, and Yui saw Roxy and Riku's image.
“Him and Roxy right inside this projection, in another imagining of this world. I don’t know where this (Y/N) person is though,” Joshua said.
“You mean...another Traverse Town? Can we get there with your Portal thing?” Sora asked.
“Sad to say, it won't work for you. My ‘Portal thing’ only opens for the one with Rhyme's dreams. In this projection, you're seeing another chain of events, in another world trapped by the Dream Eaters. As for how the world got split in two...I have a feeling you'll need to ask them.” Sora and the girls saw the cloaked figures walk down the stairs in pursuit of Riku and Roxy.
“Them again,” Rumi said.
“This wakeless sleep will be your prison...to wander forever,” the second woman said. Riku and Roxy reached the edge of the fountain and stopped.
“What do you mean?” Riku asked.
“Riku, don'chu listen to that punk!” Beat said. Neku and Rhyme sensed something behind them and saw an image of Shiki and Beat, who was yelling across the water.
“Shiki's gonna be fine! She told me whassup. Hoodies here set this whole thing up, yo. They promised to send Shiki back to our world, and you two was the cost of travel,” Beat said. He looks over to the cloaked figures. “Yo, this is seriously one half-baked excuse for a mission. Betchu ain't even a Reaper.” The figures takes off their hood, the revealing yellow eyes and long silver hair, the first woman revealing black hair and red eyes, and the second woman revealing blonde hair and having red eyes as well.
“No...” Roxy, Yui, and Rumi said.
“All right. Who are you?” Riku asked.
“Who's...that?” Sora asked. The image's form flickered and vanished. On Riku and Roxy's side, the young man and the two women raised their arms and summoned a Hockomonkey Dream Eater, which flies inside the garden building and summoned a group of Negaverse’s. They escaped through a corridor of darkness.
“Wait!” Riku and Roxy said.
“I'm really sorry,” Shiki said. Riku tossed the doll back to her.
“It's all right. Beat, watch her,” he said.
“I gots this, yo! Hey lady! I’m free if you want some fun!” Beat said.
“First of all, my name’s Roxy and second of all, I’m not interested,” Roxy said. Riku and Roxy entered the building and defeated the Hockomonkey and the Negaverse’s. They joined the others outside, where they saw images of Sora, Rumi, Yui, Neku, Joshua, and Rhyme.
“Hey, what is this?” Shiki asked. Riku and Roxy walked up to Sora and the girls.
“What are we...seeing?” Riku asked.
“No idea,” Roxy said. She moved his hand into the image.
“This is so messed up, man!” Beat said as he knelt down to Rhyme’s height. “She's right here in front of me and...I can't reach her!” He tried to grab Rhyme, but his hand went right through the mirage.
“If your hearts are connected, you'll reach her,” Riku said.
“Beat...” Rhyme said.
“Rhyme...” Beat said.
“Shiki...” Neku said.
“Neku...” Shiki said.
“Girls...” Roxy said.
“Roxy...” Rumi and Yui said.
“Riku...” Sora said.
“Sora...” Riku said. There was a flash and Sora, Rumi, the twins, and Riku stood alone with Joshua, each in their own version of Traverse Town.
“In their world, something happened that brought their existence to an end. To keep them from fading altogether, I gathered up the very last remnants of their dreams and looked for a place to give them refuge. It was then this world appeared to answer my call, and Rhyme's dreams allowed us to reach it. Here, I thought they might have a chance--that the pieces of their dreams could make them whole again. Imagine my surprise when I realized dreams take bodily form in this world. It struck me--by linking their dream pieces back together, maybe I could make them exist again. Maybe I could give them another chance,” Joshua said.
“It can't be that simple,” Roxy said.
“Well, why can't it? By ourselves, we're no one. It's when other people look at us and see someone--that's the moment we each start to exist. All they needed was for someone to see them, connect with them. And the two of you were a big part of making it happen.”
“Joshua, just...who are you?” Sora, Rumi, the twins, and Riku asked.
“Let's say...a friend.” Two large angel wings sprouted from his back and he flew up into the sky. A Keyhole appeared on the building in front of them. They nodded to each other and sealed it.

You woke up and saw that you were in a dungeon. But not just any dungeon. The dungeon from when you were kidnapped by the Organization. You got up and ran to the door.
“Hello?!” you asked but no one answered. “Yui?! Roxy?! Rumi?! Anybody?!”
“That won’t work.” You turned around and spotted...
“Vani!” You ran up to him and engulfed him into a hug. He hugged you back and buried his face in your shoulder.
“What are you doing here?” you asked as you pulled away.
“I can’t tell you,” he said.
“What do you mean you can’t tel--No.”
“I’m sorry.”
“You’re sorry?! Do you realize what he wants with me?!”
“I do know that and that’s why I’m in here with you.”
“The hell are you talking about?”
“I’m here to break you out. We all are.” Vani summoned some of his Unversed and you smiled.
“What’s your plan of action then?” you asked.
