Title: The Shifter, The Facesmith,The Deceiver, “That smarmy, two-faced noodle dog”, and whatever name he goes by to appease mortals needs for names and titles but his pantheon name would be Audax. Not that he ever usually goes by it and generally calls anyone who uses it stuffy and boring, give him a nickname maaaaan! However, he will allow Daxy as the closest to his name you’ll get without fuss. Domain: Pasts longing to be forgotten, personalities wishing to be changed, new beginnings (at any cost...), but more minorly... of accepting yourself and your past, mending past hurts and bridges burned, pushing past personal difficulties Alignment: Chaotic Neutral though usually seen as some form of Evil by anyone but the desperate or more informed (or favored), I mean he’s essentially a chaotic trickster Residence: a drifter, tends to move wherever a shrine pops up not that there are many, but doesn’t claim to reside anywhere (though may jokingly say ‘up your aft’ to be contrary). Always moving, always running.

Appearance: He changes frequently but retains a few things in each change. He is usually canine in appearance, wearing a mask that constantly shifts between faces and conceals a mass of teeth (representation that the faces you wear hide true natures and may bite you in the ass later on), and tends to favor loud and bold colors and patterns. One moment he could be small and demure, the next--  a grotesque horror of fangs, claws, and teeth. Who you see is entirely dependent on his mercurial nature...

Disposition: Snarky, volatile, easily amused/enraged, more likely to fuck you over than do any good, childish, bratty, stubborn, pokes ALL the buttons, flips between overly affectionate to aloof and moody, manipulative, cowardly, can be humorous and a fount of fantastic tales if you’re willing to stay long enough to listen, occasionally tries to teach lessons (if you call letting them fall on their ass, getting into trouble and/or going mad a lesson) but primarily does things for his own amusement... (hey-- if it ends up working out, good for you, but otherwise its not his problem. You asked.) Very rarely does he favor some of his patrons and may show protectiveness or an urge to see them healed, but many he finds simply want to use his gifts and not think of the consequences (their downfall). Weaponry: He doesn’t carry any weapons but his teeth and claws Powers: Minor shapeshifting/mass-shifting, vocal mimicry, minor emotional intuition (only works on mortals, sadface emoji), temporary appearance altering “curses” (usually for hijinks, affects mortals only, damnit), and mind altering powers (do be specific or you might end up with more than you bargained for, better yet-- convince him to just talk at you about yourself and figure it out on your own, don’t ask him to change you, you likely wont like what he does... oh and obviously doesn’t affect anyone but mortals, again, boo) Attire: He. Loves. SHINIES. And jinglies. Cover him in glitter and jewels and pretty bits of nothing that chime and make NOISE. He also likes soft wraps, like silk, that allow freedom of movement and change. Patronage: The confused, the traumatized, those lacking courage and/or motivation to change themselves, the ones who believe if they just changed something about themselves or forgot what troubles them that they’d live better lives, some of those in espionage, and a few (possibly) controversial psychiatrists.

Symbolic flora: Deceivers like Bee/Fly Orchids and Passion Flowers Symbolic fauna: Butterflies (their many “faces” and metamorphosis as a metaphor, have I beaten CHANGE into the ground yet) Symbolic satellite: ??? Symbolic gemstone: Pink Sapphire: emotional transformation/emotional healing, cleanses current/past emotional pain, promotes emotional release and changing negative emotions to positive, the “Moving On” stone Symbolic consumable: Mind-altering substances and anesthetics/sedatives (forget your troubles, get high or sleep deeply), also sweets, because treat yo self (be happy, have some chocolate) Favored offerings: SWEETS, shinies in general, masks, bells/chimes, silks and other soft fabric pieces (you can get bonus points by making them into little dolls, many do), did I mention sweets? His shrine usually has some hound like figure shrouded in soft fabrics and masks hang off it, well lit to catch the reflections of his offerings and tempt him further, he can be a tricky one. Favored Blessings: changing aspects of self (wanna be braver? now you’re gonna be so brave you might just do MANY stupid things), causing memories to drop off (this is not necessarily a good thing, it tends to plague them, don’t do this), giving a hard and usually vague nudge in the right direction to bettering one’s self (you will not get soft treatment, it’s not his department), visions/dreams that confront pasts or whats gnawing at someone about themselves, attacking the past head on to sever whats holding it over them, some might hold a small representation of him when needing whispers of guidance or a physical manifestation of extra strength/courage boosting to get past trauma or emotional blocks or as a meditative tool, and veeeeeery rarely will he give some insight on weaknesses/hurts of others (he cares not how its used, but how much in return he gets for it) Quote: “Be yourself, unless yourself sucks, in that case change it!” “The past is a nag and a bore, don’t give it the time of day, much better things to be doing anyways... Like the present and future! Muuuuch more appealing.”
