Selene Amatori, Dominant of Greagor (Seraph) the Eikon of 'Mind'. The unknowing twin to Dion Lesage, she held the markers of a Bearer at birth and was separated from him for a lifetime. It was only on her Eikon's awakening from the death/rebirth of the Phoenix that she awoke as a Dominant. Swarmed by cardinals and priests alike, the ten year old Branded held no words of her own, all those in power speaking to the public on her behalf - to parade 'the goddess' in their needs for sating display, her brand painted ivory whites each day. Her only true companions were her Light and Shadow; Dion her trusted friend and Aramis her eternal guardian. For the purpose of her own needs, the newly-made royal Anabella falsified the excommunication of Aramis, compelled the duty for Bahamut along the front lines, leaving Selene alone to the kindness of a poisoned apple; sending the young woman to her death in a lockbox within the water. It was only using her Eikon's power - at the cost of her own health and fortitude - that Selene saved herself, fighting to live despite all the ingrained teachings that told the once-Branded otherwise. Now considered dead to the world and mourned by that suffocating religion, she found her first taste of freedom alongside another ghost; Joshua Rosfield. His status as a Dominant serving to hear the Mind's Call for help from that stormy river; bringing her to learn the world with his travels.

O BTW i watched the first ep of the dungeon meshi and I RLY LIKE ITTTT ive been meaning to start the manga for yrs but never got around to it TT... trigger seems to be doing rly well w the adaptation tho from what ive heard manga readers say and well just from watching it blind myself i alr rly love it and cant wait to see more...!!!

Bc he hasn’t been able to use his comfy powers in a very long time (got corrupted by circumstance and, in turn trying to use it caused distress (especially bc the results were more and more lacking))

So when he first sees/feels/smells one of Kelek’s objects he’s just instantly drawn to it bc “smells like me, kind of, feels like comfort” just starts purring and kneading

Probably passes the fuck out and is actually somewhat relaxed

Are Jack and Marius familiar with MC’s son, if they have one? Obviously they’d know there is a son, since they’re close to MC, but are they also close to the kid? I just love the imagery of a cute widdle boy and his two weird uncles

They know of him and have probably met him a few times ... babysitting duty hasn't come up (yet) however, haha. They aren't super close to MC's son because the MC doesn't want suspicious people around their apartment, in case the landlord makes a fuss, or in case Flynn's men follow them - a bit paranoid, but yanno.

.... Hooooweverrr the Christmas before the story starts, Marius and Jack got a present for the kiddo, which he remembers and is fond of :") it's a stuffed bear with a bow. They both came from v impoverished homes, so a big bear with a fancy red bow just seemed so over the top and perfect! I wanted to mention the bear in the phone call scene, but I just couldnt fit in it right ...

So the son is very fond of Marius and Jack, even if they've only met a few times! Kids are funny like that. I'm hoping to bring it up in Chapter 3~4, but we'll see :>

only once before has anyone ever asked them to come dress shopping with them. a girl they'd been friends with forever ago, who had also been aware of their appreciation for more feminine clothing despite them not having much opportunity to wear any of it at the time. she'd said she wanted their help picking something cute, suggested that they could even try on a few dresses themself, if they wanted. still, they can remember the bubbling excitement they'd felt as the weekend had approached. ...just as vividly as they remember the horror of her mom calling their foster parents at the time to arrange a pickup time, and the look on their foster father's face while he was on the phone.

ㅤthey hadn't been allowed to go, but that was the most mild of the consequences which had followed.

gaze quickly drops back to the phone laid out on the table, one finger busying itself with menus to close out of their game session, and byan clears their throat in a weak attempt at downplaying their initial reaction.
