She can tell a lot about a person by where they sit within the bar. Some prefer the dark corners, to conduct illicit business or to avoid notice. Some sit in the center of the action, eager for attention and to see all the action around them.

And then there were the ones who sat at the bar. Sometimes it was to avoid people, sometimes to assert dominance but most of the time, Luna’s learned that people sit at the bar when all they really care about is drinking.

This man struck her as the later type.

She paused, rag in hand from wiping up a spill from a previous customer. Luna met his gaze, taking in his appearance. She probably could’ve guessed a drink of choice just by his demeanor and look alone but instead, she smiled, head tilted coyly.

“What can I get you, handsome?”
