Part of being the new big sister was gaining favour with the new baby brothers, which translated to Yvonne as ‘get them gifts and you’re being their favourite in no time’. Sure, they were fairly surface level things, but, it proved she listened when the ideas of hobbies and interests popped up. 

Small present in hand, it being a box full of some art supplies, Yvonne glanced into Mikey’s room. Instead of seeing the usual ball of sunshine though, she simply saw his shell. Well, that wasn’t good - at all. Staying quiet, Yvonne moves so she can sit down with him, quirking her mouth,

“I’ve been looking for you Sunshine.”

Nothing. A faint hum, as she idly places the gift down in front of him,

“This present for you will self-destruct if you don’t take it...” She tries to coax him out, “Three...two...” 

Hopefully that’s enough, Yvonne doesn’t exactly have a back up if Mikey calls her bluff with the whole exploding present thing.

| Muse interaction Yeah know Mikey was know for his more happy and go lucky demeanor and he was good about keeping to the good vibes roll with all those punches hey in the end what could the box turtle complain over after all? He had so much going for him! He had a family he utterly loved and would do anything for! He had his Dad Draxum who thanks to him he was where he even was. Splinter who took them in and raised them as his own kids. Heck and he had three amazing older brothers that look out for him. Raph who took care of them and tries protect them best he can. Leo who always just seems to know how to best hype them all up, mere presences make it seem like they can do anything. Donnie who made it so they could live a comfortable life. He had a great family and he loved them so much! Why he did all he could to be a good brother and listen to his brothers they had a lot going on so he did what he could to let them vent or just let them know they were doing good. Mikey was fine he was fine he was the baby free to dream and be carefree.

But sometimes? Mikey couldn't be that. Mikey was just in a bit of weird mood today that's all, he didn't wanna bother anyone so he just stayed curled up in his shell. He felt a little drained he guessed just didn't have the energy to move around but he wasn't tried he tried going back to sleep. Raph didn't force him to join in any training on days like this. He was able to least has his phone on him sort of doom scrolling through tik tok at the moment. Just watching whatever came up. When he heard a voice speak up suddenly.

“I’ve been looking for you Sunshine.”

He recognized it right away, he found a way to slink in further into his shell as if him being out in the open wasn't enough to make it obvious he was there he wasn't against company but…Yvoone never saw him not being sunshine Mikey so. He felt a bit unsure what to do. Maybe she just think he was asleep or somethin? He thought as he locked his phone to kill the sound. Could fib and say it was on a sleep timer if asked? Brown eyes shift when catching sight of movement in front of him.

“This present for you will self-destruct if you don’t take it...”

Oh come on Von bon Mikey wasn't that guilable he thinks slightly huffing a bit as he pouted when thinking that to himself. But then she started to count?

 “Three...two...” 

hhhm wait it, it wasn't going to really explode right? she was messing with him right? eye fixed on to the gift and he couldn't stand to run the risk! in a instant his head and arms were popping out free from his shell as he snagged the gift fast as he could. But his mood was still low if he was more with it he scream out no and be dramatic instead he just sort of felt over the wrapping a moment slightly picking at it not out right ripping into it. Slowly he let his legs out from his shell so he could move to sit up, offering a smile at Yvonne. "heh hey Vonnie, ah you got me darn" he tried to hold the usual cheery tone but its easy to see past it, before he folds his legs in to set his gift in his lap he still tries for her sake though. "you didn't need ta get me a gift you know. No raph today?" he glances around a second to double check before look back to the gift. "Can I open it?" he might be feeling less then 100, but didn't mean he was against a present, as he went to open it. The smile on his face softened. More sincere as he looked at the art supplies in side "aww thanks I was starting to run low actually. I can't wait to get cracking on new stuff..." He sighs a bit as he moves the box off his lap and off to the side. Moving over in closer to her as he sets his head on her shoulder. Arms moving to hold around one of her own as he sort of settles back into the mood he been in. "I love it though I'll make you something super nice first with them."
