try the anticuchos they're amazing. try the lucuma ice cream from the street vendors!!!!! try a pisco sour, try choclo with queso fresco, try lomo saltado, chicha morada, emoliente, ceviche, picarones, papa la huancaiya, tacu tacu, chachangas, etc etc just eat lots of everything nothing is bad. go to a fruit market and try cherimoya. there's also a lot of chinese and japanese and italian food there that has been peruvianified, it's great. the food in peru is fucking amazing, try everything.

when i went i had the massive advantage of staying with and being shown around by my mother's friend who was born and raised in lima, and i was just a teenager so she basically planned everything and i just did whatever she told me to do haha. so im not gonna lie i never really had to do research or worry and idk exactly like .. i can't give the most amazing tips. she took us mainly to educational places like museums, historical sites, churches, at one point she took us to a dairy farm outside lima where they made queso fresco. we also visited a trout farm. like any place you'd expect a class of eighth graders to take a field trip, that's where we went haha. it rocked.

i can say definitely visit the smaller museums and smaller archeological sites. there is a national museum in lima that documents the civil war of the early 90s that i highly recommend. idk if you'll be in lima or huancayo or nazca or macchu pichu or what but wherever you are there are incredible archeological sites to visit nearby. it's not just macchu pichu.

i can also say, we took buses to travel everywhere, including long distances to other cities. we went to small local bus depots and i was usually the only person on them that wasn't from peru. i found that traveling this way was very cheap, and i saw extraordinary scenery, and there were sometimes good food vendors on the bus, or on very long distance drives, the driver would sometimes stop at a good restaurant that was very cheap. i loved it. one time going back from huancayo to lima, the bus did break down a bunch of times delaying our trip by several hours, but even that was one to the most extraordinary experiences of my life. driving through those mountains and forests, down into the vast desert and towards the coast, during the most beautiful sunrise ive ever seen in my life, made the inconvenience and discomfort more than worth it. these long distance buses are usually pretty nice, too, they're very similar to an american greyhound. so i would really recommend that especially if you know someone there or are balling on a budget.

on the practical side of things, do not drink or brush your teeth with unboiled tap water. you'll get sick. my friend didn't drink any but brushed her teeth with it, and she got sick as a dog and couldn't come to nazca with us.

also, peru has very strict wildlife exportation laws, so be cautious about bringing home any souvenirs made out of wild animals or wild animal products, bc they will probably be confiscated from you when you get back home. alpacas are domesticated so you're good there.

also i think you should buy a huge bottle of vanilla from a local market bc the vanilla there is delicious

it's been my observation that peruvian culture is very kind and polite. ppl don't make a lot of eye contact but everyone is really cool. idk if you're fluent in spanish or anything but don't be nervous about trying to speak it if you're not that good, and try to be very kind to ppl, bc there's a really generous and welcoming spirit, ppl will be kind to you.

if you need a doctor, just go, bc it's super cheap, like twenty bucks for an appointment.

don't worry about the elevation. just drink a lot of water and bring some excedrin. don't be a weenie it's a once in a lifetime experience!

Mod Review: Boku No Hero Academia

"It's fine now. Why? Because I am here!" - All Might “Boku No Hero Academia” Chapter 1

FEAR NOT EVERYONE!!! FOR I.....AM HERE TO REVIEW THIS ANIME!!! Hows it going everyone and welcome to Mod Review a new title replacing MTR. It’s just me mod reviewing the anime or manga or anything on this post and today it’s Boku no Hero Academia. So Boku No Hero Academia or in english My Hero Academy is about how heroes and heroines became heroes in school. It all started with some baby being born with glowing skin and everyone is getting super powers or known as Quirk around the world with out knowing where it comes from. Only like 80% of the population has quirks which said every time in season 2. And it start with a student called Midorya Izuku (hope i spell his name right) Who study to become a hero cause he doesn’t have a quirk but still wanna be a hero. Later on his childhood friend who is like a jerk to him pick on him still cause he’s quirkless which is Bakugo who quirk is Explosion. Reason why he wanted to be a hero cause he look up to a hero that been his dream of becoming. All Might, the number 1 hero that made the boy so excited to be a hero. Soon he was caught by a villain slime dude thing trying to take his body....which looks like some tentacle yuri..wait is that a thing? But he was save by All Might which his move I really like cause it’s just all states name from the USA which I can see which he suppose to be an american hero I think. Deku which what Bakugo call him and it sound easy to remember woke up and see his hero so excited to see him and it was the most funniest thing I see. He later discover that All Might he ask if he can be a hero with out a quirk finds out All Might true identity is like some skeleton like body. Turns out it’s like some guy who comes out a pool and flex at people which is like that. He explain why he like this by showing a very gross and badly wounded scar from his side which is oh my it just look bad and hurt alot. But he tells him that being quirkless you can just be a police or something which kind of break Deku a little hearing it from his childhood hero that he look up too. Bakugo on the other hand is still like piss off by Deku which come on dude why you gotta be hard on young green hair boy. But the villain All Might capture is now taking control of Bakugo and he is fighting back causing huge damage around him like dam! Deku seeing the heroes trying to save him but can’t get closer because of his explosion he’s doing. He see his eye which made him rush in to save him but he doesn’t want to be save by Deku. All Might in the back seeing how brave he is made him more excited and comes in for the rescue and give becky a Detroit...or Dakota SMASH!!! Yes I made a lemme smash joke....Later Bakugo find him again and mor episs he tells him to fuck off and didn’t ask for help and walk away which I guess he saying thanks. And All Might arrive out of nowhere and wanted to talk to Deku most important question and answer. He can make Deku into a hero even though he’s quirkless. This scene makes my old childhood self back into me and saying to me, “Hey me be a hero come on look at this you can be a hero!” The n later on they do some star war training for 10 month for the exam and it’s make me want to try it too. Then on final day All Might just keep getting funny when he said OH MY GOODNESS! and make him eat his hair just to have his DNA.....wait can that even work???? But this I might stop here but I’m telling you it gets really really good late ron in the manga just read it or watch the anime!

Now this one is about the characters and what I thought about them. Deku is like a boy who wanted to be a hero and it just good that he got his dream come true but problem is that his quirk when trying it out made his bone shatter. But he learn to use it later on which is good and OMG PLEASE GET THAT LITTLE GIRL AWAY FROM THE VILLAIN IN NEW CHAPTER ALREADY! He’s like some thing that ou just wanna see him be a hero for a long time and just seeing how he’s doing is just like making me trying to be a hero too. Now All Might he’s got to be the greatest hero that ever live. He’s funny, cool, and just awesome! The special moves he does are just like omg he saying the USA states. I bet you can pass some kind of history map test thing with that but you might accidentally put in smash at the end. But what made me like him so much is that one chapter when he is at his last stand fighting One For All. And that just like I don’t know why but this manga is just making me cry and my hair spiking up a lot when reading the manga! Seeing him saying “UNITED STATE OF SMASH” is just jaw dropping and amazing.

 Then just standing becoming the pillar is just make me happy and makes me want to cry. When he go all muscle daddy he’s just really funny but when serious he go full on muscle dad but hulk. And the training with him and Deku...I kind of wanna do that kind of training but that training when he said heroes just care about like helping people and catching bad guys they should just also help clean up this whole beach that was filled with garbage which use to be an amazing beach (Wheres Captain Planet when you need him) And I have to say my favorite character has to be the frog girl Tsu cause she’s a frog and she’s just really cute. And her family is just like omg he family is all frogs and her ribbit just (grunt) it’s just she got good character and stuff. My other favorite might be Hatsume cause I don’t know why but she makes me laugh every time she said baby or babies in the anime and it just makes me laugh. And for favorite male character it have to be Deku cause he’s cute and nice and he will be a cool hero. I don’t know why my inner child is coming out and saying he’s amazing and stuff but later on in the manga he’s just doing great and I do like the other characters too.....except that copycat dude. But Deku he’s just my favorite cause I like how he not stopping to become a hero. And just all and everyone in the manga backstory about them like Torodoki (the fire ice dude) it made me like “dam....I don’t know what to say...geez..” It just make me sad and feel bad for him but seeing he return to his mother again make me feel happy he get to see his mom again.  The pro heros I would say Tiger from the Wild Wild Pussycats is just my favorite cause of his characters or how he acts in the manga which is so funny! The villains like there's one that got my favorite it’s Stain or that one guy with that steel knuckles that was fighting Red Riot and FatGum.

Now the fandom. Okey this one new so I’ll try not to anger anyone which I don’t want to when I say something honest. The fandom is cool and great. Their art work of fanarts they did can be shown on mangahere.co when reading the manga and I wanna say you all did cool on them all. And the original characters you guys make (I made on too) You guys make the coolest and cute characters and gave them just really good personality traits and their quirk like I saw one that has a knife for  ahead and that one is so cute! even the one with a gun on her head which her quirk is gun is just cute too! I just have a feeling that the quirk I gave my character is just kind of op or something like something that's too much like all I think of is like “ Ok I’m gonna make a Oc for this what will his quirk be....(watching godzilla thon) I think that’ll be too much...(still thinking of godzilla)...(God dammit use godzilla powers!?) OK FIne but what can I call this quirk.....maybe kaiju would do?” And that's how I made my character. But all of you guys characters are more amazing and awesome! Ad the shipping...I’m okay with it like Deku and Tsu is cute like the first one i saw was just the frog princess one and that is cute. I kind of see the....Red Riot (pls don’t be angry I can’t remember names well..) And um.....Alien Queen! (*fandom more angry*) are kind of cute together when I find out he met her in the same school before UA. GIVE THAT RED HAIR SPIKY KID A HUG AND MEET CRIMSON RIOT!? 

The music in the show I really love the openings the can be catchy sometimes and then season 2 other ending with the fantasy version I really love it! 

The english dub and sub thoughts. I would say I’m more of a sub then dub but the dub voice actors aren’t that bad like they’re really good. But if I ever want to catch up on this anime I kind of watch season 1 first then just continue the manga to catch up more.

My final thoughts and reason why I like this anime. Well I gave this anime like 10/10 cause this make it my top anime list like it’s now clash with RWBY. I like how the story is going and the characters design and everything in it are so good. The author work hard on it and he did amazing job. Oh one last thing!? Read the manga first then the anime trust me it’s way ahead of the anime. And other thing try reading the side story of it called: “Vigilante: Boku No Hero Academia Illegals” My brother introduce me to it and the story is really good too and the characters are actually not bad. So if you wanna be a hero just help others and the environment like those other real life super hero guys.
