9. Do they give tough love or gentle love most often? Which do they prefer to receive?

His go to is absolutely tough love. He doesn't sugarcoat things—whether that's his own feelings on things or medical diagnoses—and while he'll be encouraging, and while he'll make sure they don't overexert themselves, he tends to not coddle people during any recoveries he has to oversee. He does have his gentler moments, but those are highly dependent on the person/patient.

As for which he'd prefer to receive... as much as he'd say otherwise, and as much as he'd believe he wasn't worth it, didn't deserve it, or didn't need it, I think deep down he would want someone, for once, to treat him gently. Ever since the accident he's known so much hardship, and given himself so, so much tough love to the point that I do think he craves some softness. Unfortunately he'd rather push you away before accepting it because of how high his walls are skdfjksgdidud
