âžď¸ KNEEL DOWN
A Wild Irina has appeared! â What will you do?
@sumire-bride decided to: Kneel down
"What are youââ?"
The blonde blurted out in surprise, watching the girl kneel before her with a raised eyebrow.
"ââdoing..." Irina finished her sentence, who was still looking stunned at the jet-haired girl. It had taken her by surprise, that was without a doubt, since no one would kneel before her in the Human Realm.
"... ... ... Sumireâ Why are you doing this? Stop that right now, come on, before someone else sees us and gets weird ideas."
As much as the Owl loved the idea of being adored and verenad as she deserved, by her own criteria, she would prefer to exercise caution and not draw the attention of the wrong people. After all, she wasn't royalty outside of Makai.
"What the hell did you have on your mind?"

summary "arresting" drew, your boyfriend, during your show before performing your song from your new album.
warning(s) none!
You are on tour for your new album in-front of thousands of fans almost every night. You worked hard on this album and it turned out wonderfully. If it werenât for the amazing fans of yours, you donât know where youâd be in your careerâ they are the reason you are doing this.
Half way into the showâ going amazing. The crowd tonight isn't disappointing you. Everything you've hoped for on this tour. You've performed eighteen songs and about to go onto your nineteenth. Played musical spin the bottle not long ago which was really fun.
Before Juno, you begin with a small "skit" where you call someone out in the crowd, arresting them for being too hot. This became a thing after your first show of the tour and doing it ever since. Plus, fans absolutely love it. Interacting with your fans has always been something you did and create those bonds.
Drew, your boyfriend, is attending the show with Madelyn Cline, a mutual friend and cast-mate of Drew's. You told him earlier today you wanted to arrest him in the middle of the show to get the audience excited and it would be fun.
Drew was all for it, and he didn't want you to tell him what you were going to sayâhe prefers surprises.
Your pink, glittering, dazzling clothing was sparkling in the lights. You pressed your free hand to your brow as though you were looking around for a call. With security, you could see Drew and Madelyn making their way to the front.
You begin by adjusting your earpiece while moving around the stage in your long skirt. "You guys know that moment when you are in a room filled with such beautiful looking people that you start to feel overwhelmed?" When fans applaud, you smile.
"Oh, girls, I think I just seen my future husband in the front row! Oh my god, girls, come here, come here," you say anxiously into the microphone, beckoning them over and waving your free hand.
You turn to face Drew as the girls approach you, asking, "Do you see that gorgeous looking man over in the front row with his arms crossed in the tan shirt?" You speak into the microphone aloud, pointing to Drew in the crowd.
Your girls joyfully waved at Drew while placing their hands on your shoulder. As Drew blushes on the big screen, the crowd reflexively turns up the volume in the arena.Â
"What's your name handsome?" With your head cocked slightly to the right toward your shoulder, you inquire in jest.Â
"Drew!" You can hear him when he places his hands on the side of his lips. He gives you a childlike smile and a flushed face.
You say, "I'm sorry I couldn't get that?" as though you couldn't hear him. Leaning forward more, you place your free hand behind your ear.
He shakes his head and utters "Drew!" a little louder.Â
"Oh my Drew, I must say that you must be a magnet because you drew me in" brings a smile to your face. Your tone indicated that you were trying quite hard not to laugh, yet you kept your calm brilliantly.
Fans had their phones out, capturing the entire interaction. Nobody would have expected Drew to be the person arrested at your gigs since the tour began.
"Drew, you are under arrest for being too hot," you say aloud, smiling and pointing at himâ fanning yourself, moving your hips side to side as the sound of sirens going off with blue and red lights behind.
You put your left elbow against your girls shoulder, "guys do you ever just see someone so good looking that you just don't know what to do and all your clothes fall off in that moment" your long skirt slips off smoothy.
"Like your brain just like malfunctions and like I just wanna handcuffed to you now like," one of your girls puts the pink fluffy handcuffs into your hand, you kneel down, "do you know what I mean? Will you take these from me?"
Drew is overwhelmed in this very momentâ it's very obvious how much you are affecting him. Drew gives you a gimme me gesture with his fingers, ready to catch the hand cuffs.
He takes them in his hands, looks down, and feels the smooth texture of the fuzzy. He tilts his head to the side before slowly glancing up at you with a smirkâkeep in mind that he's still on the big screen.
"We're gonna sing this one to you, Drew."
Juno's song intro starts playing. You wave goodbye to Drew and Madelyn as you return to the center of the stage. You could hear the two begin speaking to fans in the distance.
Drew and Madelyn met you in the dressing room following the show. After giving Madelyn a hug and thanking her for attending the event, you moved to approach Drew and put your arms around his neck while grinning.
"That was insane," Madelyn exclaimed, pulling you into a hug. "What about the full call-out and the handcuffs? Iconic! "You're the talk of the night; everyone is crazy about it."
You giggled as your face heated up. "It seemed right." "You should have seen his face!"
She laughs, "I got the whole thing on video, I'll send it to you later."
"I'm going to give you two some alone time, but you did such an amazing job tonight and looked so hot doing it," Madelyn adds, taking your hands in her and wiggling her brows.Â
"Thank you, babe. I love you always," you say, hugging her before she leaves you and Drew alone.Â
When you close the door, Drew comes behind you, placing his arms around your waist and kissing you on the cheek, making you laugh with the tenderness of his lips.
"I'm so proud of you baby, you did such an amazing job on stage and looked unbelievable in your outfits made me feel like the luckiest guy in the entire world." He expresses emotionally, which uplifts you.Â
"Coming from you, it warms my heart baby. Forever grateful to have you in my life," you smile softly, leaning against his chest, feeling that sense of warmth you always feel whenever you are with him.
"And I'm forever grateful for you" he quietly responds, kissing the top of your head.
"So what are we gonna do with those pink fuzzy handcuffs?"

Company (jjk)
Pairing: brothers bsf!jk x fm!reader
Sypnosis: Your longtime crush who happens to be your older brothers best friends walks into you humping your pillow to the thought of him
Warnings: 18+ smut, unprotected sex, dry/pillow humping, nudity, reader has an IUD, etcâŚ
Note: hey yawl itâs been a while⌠if anything sounds off jus so yk itâs not proofread :)
Youâve always carried a long crush for your older brothers bestfriend Jeon Jungkook.
Your ages being separate by 2 years, youâve always remembered the chicks your older brother Taehyung would sneak into his room after a night out meanwhile your parents slept peacefully in their room.
As of now, this carried onto his current college days. Attending frat parties along with his best friend since childhood, Jungkook.
Your heart ached to be seen as nothing but Taehyungs younger sister to jungkook and others known to him. Especially when after those late night outs youâd come to find a chick wrapped around Jungkookâs meaty arms. You wanted jungkook to see you as a woman who harbored deep feeling for him.
And so, your decided to attend the same college as your brother. It not being that far off your home moving onto campus was not required. Unlike jungkook whose family had moved farther off from town your parents gladly took him in. Knowing him since he was a little boy they allowed him to crash in taehyungs spacious room.
This only made your crush on him worse, you were too shy to even start a conversation with him. Despite your shyness he always acknowledged your presence, never making you feel left out or ignored. Your interactions with him were limited, and every convo was initiated by him with little teases and silly remarks. Heâs such a kind guy, no wonder your lingering crush only heightened with him staying in your home.
Classes were over for you and generally Taehyung was always the one to drive you home considering he had a car. A sudden message from him vibrates your phone you carry in your palm.
3:52 pm taetae: not on campus so I asked jk to give you a ride home today
great.
pulling into the campus parking in his car was jungkook, âhey, tae asked me to drive you back home for today heâs out so heâll be back tomorrowâ he said with his silver pierced charming grin
âhi, thanks for driving me back homeâ you said with your typical shy demeanor as you made way into the passenger seat of his car
âdonât worry about it, sweetsâ
oh.
That was the nickname heâd given you many many years ago cause of the constant snacking of sweets and candys. He payed notice to that then coining you the nickname âsweetsâ
You turned your head faced to the direction of the window to hide the rosy cheeks he gave you from pet name
Too shy to keep the conversation going jungkook spoke, bringing up school and asking about your classes. All came to an end once he pulled into the driveway of your home.
âYour brother wonât be back today, heâs spending the night with jennie todayâ, jungkook said while opening the refrigerator to get a class of water.
dammit.
You thought to yourself. Youâre parents are out at work and donât arrive til 9pm. So that means itâs just you and Jungkook for the meanwhile. What a mess, you figured you were gonna stay locked in your room for the remaining time until your parents got home.
âWell, Iâm just gonna work on my assignments due tomarrowâŚâ
âAlright, Iâm off to the gym. In case anything happens feel free to call me, okay?â, the tattooed man said.
The muscular man did go to the gym everyday though. Usually around 4:30pm for about at least 2 hours.
âOkayâ last thing said between you two before grabbing his gym bag and making his way out the door.
âHey Jungkook?â
âYea?â
âThanks for looking out for meâ, this time you held onto the eye contact made between both irises. Making sure to illuminate your gratitude to him.
He offered you a grin from his silver pierced lips, âno problem, sweetsâ
You could not get Jungkook out of your head. It was impossible to focus on your assignments without thinking about the tall raven hair tattooed man with the bunny smile. He lingered your mind, causing stress.
Closing your MacBook and tossing it aside you decided to relieve this aching stress that invaded your mind but also the lingering ache between your legs.
You rid yourself of your clothing only remaining in your cropped tank and underwear.
Positioning your pillow between your legs in which your body hovered over you made onto your pillow searing yourself upon it.
Arching your back and you rocked your hips back and forth onto the wrinkled textured fabric of the pillow. The lacy panties you were currently wearing added to the ecstasy. Following the flow of movement adding friction and pressure to your needy clit.
âmhhpp, fuckâ gasping out while you retracted your head back then forward.
The layered front strands of your mid length hair covered your face due the continuous movement of your head. Tucking them back behind your ear once again.
âj-jungkook! sâgood, feels so goodâŚâ you desperate whined as you chased your high.
Gripping onto the pillow leaving your knuckles white due to the pressure of squeezing while leaning forward.
Your pillowy nipples lacked attention, your fingers latched onto the buds from the outside of your tank. You werenât wearing a bra so the thin shirt was the only separation between your calloused fingers and hardened buds.
Getting rid of your shirt and panties you were bare entirely. Your only audience being the plushies corner of your bed watching the show you gave them.
Is what you thought, too oblivious and deep into your own world to have heard the sound of the car pulling up into the drive way, to have heard the sound of the front door opening and footsteps. To have noticed the presence of the same man whose name you constantly let slip past your moaning lips watching you reach your high on your pillow at the thought of him.
He watched your ass jiggle at the rapid movement of your hips, along with the movement of your breasts The way your face contorted into an expression of pleasure with your teeth biting onto the plump of your lips. The sight in front of him had his length twitching in the gray sweats he changed into before leaving the gym.
âgâna cum, please let me cumâŚfuck jungkook need it so bad!â you desperately expressed.
At the final rock of your hips you released, a shivering orgasm causing you to rip a pitched whine.
The movement of your hips lessened as you rode out your orgasm. Tired and worn out after that workout your head began to wander off.
Until.
âQuite the performance you showed off thereâ your heart dropped
There he was. The same man that youâd been rubbing your pussy against your pillow at the thought of watched you get off.
âJungkook!â you wanted the ground to swallow you whole at this very moment.
Quickly grabbing into your discarded clothing at an attempt to cover your bare body. Unaware of what to say in explanation to the presence in front of you.
âI-IâŚâ
No words could come out or your mouth as you watched Jungkook walk towards you with a darkened expression.
Removing the piece of clothing from your grip at attempt of concealing yourself. His eyes remained at your bare figure. Tempted at the sight of your hardened nipples, goosebumps covered your skin.
âFucking hell, look at you. Getting off to the thought of me? Youâre so damn cuteâŚâ
The eye contact made you aware of the glint in his eyes, a message he was trying to convey.
âJungkook?â you quietly questioned
âYou gonna let me do what I want with you, hm? Is that what you want?â
Your eyes remaining in contact with his glistening ones, you nod your head in response.
That was all it took from jungkook to commect your lips with his. Hungrily capturing your mouth, sloppily stuffing his tongue down your throat causing him to groan and you to whimper at his roughness.
âOpen your legs, baby. Show me how wet your pussy isâ, you obeyed and showed him your glistening folds lathered in your cum.
Taking his tattooed hand and gathering the substance on his fingers he brought them to his mouth. The taste of your discharge coated his tongue as he cleaned it from his fingers.
âFuck, youâre as sweet as your nickname. You sure live up to itâ, he said as he continue to lick clean his slick coated fingers.
Your fingers inched towards the hem of his sweats, encircling the strands of the waistline.
âWhat is it you want, sweets?
âYou.â
âTake me out, babyâ fuck, that practically confirmed to you he was hiding a big package under there.
Lowering his sweats his hardened cock sprung free from the confided layer of fabric.
Taking his length in your palm toward your warm mouth to lubricate it with your saliva. Jerking him off in a up and down motion earning you grunts and groans from him.
âJust like that, fuckâŚkeep doing that n Iâll cumâ he gritted out.
Pushing you onto the soft surface of the bed you watched as he removed his clothing. You admired his muscular physique, the gym really did pay off.
âAre you really sure about this?â
âYes, Iâm sureâ confirming.
âCondom?â
âItâs okay Iâm on an IUD, Iâll take an after pill tomorrowâ, reassuring him
He hovered over your body, hiding in the crevice of your neck to leave a few pecks while aligning his length to your heat.
Your chest heaved deeply as you exhaled, the slight burn of his size rubbing toward your tight walls ignited pleasure.
âmhpm! j-jungkook..â wrapped arms on his back as he thrusted in you, increasing the pace as you let out more moans and whimpers.
âI know, babyâŚyaâ feel so good, so warm nâ tightâ, he cooed.
At sudden movement his arms then wrapped around your thighs hoisting you up while the relentless abuse to your cunt never stopped.
âAhh! f-fuck! Jungkook!â, Now in the standing missionary position, he was in deeper than youâve ever experienced. The motion of his hips thrusting at an unforgivable pace, all that was heard was the sound of his balls smacking against your sopping pussy filling the entire room.
âshit, mâ gonna cumâ
âm-me too..â your climax right on the edge.
With that both of you reached your highs, his thrusts began slowing down to ride out the climax. Both the mixture of your cum riding from his abdomen down his leg.
Laying you down on the soft surface of your bed with his cock still soft in you. Enjoying each otherâs company as you laid in his embrace.
âJungkook, are you gonna tell?â you innocently say with genuine concern written on your face.
âNow why would I do that? Iâve been waiting for this moment for quite a long while now. Why? Do you not want this?â
âNo, I do! But when you say youâve been waiting for this moment for quite a while now, what outcome do you expect to come from this? Taehyung will find out sooner or later and itâll get messy.â your questioned further anticipated his response.
He let out a sigh, âyou see sweets, Iâve envisioned this moment to occur, Iâve gotten off at the thought of you just like you showed off earlier. I want you just as badâŚ.â he admits.
âI donât see you as just my best friends younger sister, I see you as much moreâ
âJungkook?â fuck, heâs worried. What if the feelings are mutual as what he initially believed they were? What if we only meant it to be a quick fuck?
âHm?â Oh well.
âI see you as much more tooâ, you donât know where this sudden burst of confidence came out but this weight youâve been carrying has been lifted after your confession, you feel more at ease.
Both your gazes locked in with one another. Both leaning into each other as your mouths then mounded into one.
The kiss was deep and passionate, although you both have confessed your mutual feelings for each other, thereâs something different about it. Feeling more as acceptance and comfort.
âThe things you do to me y/n, you donât get itâ.
âYouâre mine, all mineâ

kissing, i hope they caught us ăź Ken Sato.
wherein ken sato finds himself waiting for the calls of his fuck buddy.
SMUT, read at your own risk. one-shot. female reader, UNEDITED.
"same time, uh, tomorrow?" ken said from behind you. you slipped into your blouse and turned to him, who was currently topless and fastening his belt, his hair pointed in all directions.
"tomorrow? we just fucked, ken." you laughed light-heartedly. "i'm a busy woman."
kenji looked at you while he sat at the edge of his bed, rubbing his shoulder. "n-next week?" he offered.
you sighed and smiled at him. finishing the top button of your blouse, you walked towards him and grabbed your purse from his nightstand. "i'll call you." you said, kissing his cheek as goodbye.
ăź
liar, kenji said to himself. it has been well over two weeks since your last interaction, and he has been anxious to meet you again, to feel you. to touch you, to have you on your kneesăź god damn it.
sighing deeply, he ran his hands through his jet-black hair and slouched on his couch. he had his phone on his couch with his tabs revealing your, [name] [surname], japan's hottest supermodel, social media accounts. he had his television opened and has been playing various movies over the past hours, but he seemed to pay no mind to them with how often he was refreshing your accounts for the hope of any updates of your whereabouts.
shit, he even stooped to a new low, stalking multiple fan accounts of yours on twitter to see if they had any clue. the opened laptop in front of him was stuck to his direct messages with you, revealing how he replied a thumbs up to your message saying, "thank u for tn ;)".
he felt stupid. should he have been more open? maybe he should've responded differently. who even responds to a girl with a thumbs up? real mature, kenji.
he was anxious, bouncing his leg as he kept sighing over and over. why weren't you messaging him? he was the ken sato. did he kiss you too hard? did he fuck you too roughly?
leaning back into the couch, he ran his hand once more for the nth time this evening. he was overthinking. he couldn't have all these thoughts with the upcoming tournament that he's been looking forward to for the past two months. but lately, all he seemed to think about was how good it felt to be inside you.
sighing again, ken had his phone in his hands and went back to refreshing your account. to his absolute surprise, you had a new post on instagram, uploaded sixteen seconds ago. it was an image of you with a bra that fit you so perfectly, baggy jeans that rested on your hips, and underwear that seemed to grip on your waist with the brand's name on the garter.
the baseball player stared at his phone with a blank face before knitting his eyebrows together and groaning, adjusting his pants with the sudden uncomfortable feeling. this is bad.
â
"my scan tells me that your blood circulation has been increased at a certain areaâ"
"i did not need a scan, mina!" ken gritted, frustrated. "i'll be back late!" he shouted as a way to drown out whatever mina said next as he shut the front door on his way out. ken walked towards his motorcycle, fitting into his black helmet before quickly driving to a nearby bar.
upon arriving, kenji took off his helmet and gave it to the valet parker, with along with his keys and some cash. "take care of her, alright?" ken said, referring to the bike. the valet nodded. kenji held the sunglasses that he hung on the front of his shirt and put it on before walking towards the entrance.
seeing the long line behind the stanchion, kenji smirked and walked towards the bouncer who blocked him from coming inside with his arm. "name?"
ken raised an eyebrow and lowered his sunglasses. "sato." he said. the bouncer gaped and got his arm out of the way and opening the doors for him instead, apologizing for not recognizing him earlier.
ken was met with beaming lights within the darkness of the place, the air smelling of alcohol and the loud sound of the song that the dj played bouncing off the walls. ken took a deep breath in and sighed, and after a few steps in he was immediately accommodated by a blonde hostess, handing him a glass of champagne before latching on to his arm as she giggled and guided him to an empty table.
it was already past midnight and ken surprised himself by not drinking to his limits this time. there were women holding on to both of his arms, some handing him fruits while one held the bottle for his drink. he was also accompanied by strangers that seemed to need a breather. "hey, pretty, care to get me another glass?" kenji said to the brunette on his left with a sly smile.
the brunette giggled and pulled down her skirt before standing up "sure thing, ken." she smiled.
"there's no need for that, sweetie." he heard someone say from behind them. almost immediately, ken sato turned his head and his eyes widened at the sight of you. fuck. it was you. "hey, kenji. what brings you here?" you smiled and walked around the couch and made your way towards him. everyone at the table stood up and walked towards another unoccupied table, knowing the protocol.
"[n-name]?" ken stuttered, his hand running through the side of his hair as he fixed his posture. you giggled at him and took the brunette's former seat, taking the almost-empty tall glass of champagne that he held and sipped on it. "what, what're you doin' here?" he slurred, tipsy.
"oh, nothing. just here with some friends." you smiled and placed the glass to his lips, making sure that it was the same spot that you drank from. taking a deep breath, ken leaned into the glass and sipped, some slipping from the corners of his mouth. you placed the glass down to the table and wiped the trail of champagne on his chin. kenji only stared at you. flustered, you looked down at his hands and held it. "i missed you, kenji." you said.
kenji stared at you. he forgot how beautiful you were. how could he ever forget that?
kenji held your hand and interlocked your fingers. "yeah, well, you didn't seem to wanna let me know that little fact of yours over the last two weeks." he said, his cheeks reddening as he avoided eye contact.
you laughed at his shyness and held on to his hand tighter. "'m sorry, baby." you smiled and leaned in to his ear. "but, i can let you know just how much i missed you, baby." you whispered. "my place?"
â
it has been yet another two weeks since your last night together. kenji was one week into the tournament that he has been preparing for and he has been busy as ever. coach shimura has confiscated their cellphones to give the yomiuri giants their well-needed concentration on their trainings and game days.
after a weekend long of back-to-back games, coach shimura has finally given back the players their phones to reward them of their zero losses so far. upon unlocking it, kenji was met with multiple messages from you, telling him how much you miss him, telling him how good he looked in the field, letting him know of what you did while thinking of him . . .
he was flushed after reading everything, and in between messages he also received missed calls from you, and one voicemail.
"baby, can you call me back? it's so lonely in my mansion."

tw. ddlg, noncon, daddy kink, dom & sub themes, forced threesome, patronization, manipulation, objectification, size kink wordcount. 4.4k
a/n. ⥠i wish i could have done more about this idea but i gave myself a bit of a word count limit for kinktober but don't be surprised if i end up writing more for this in the future jhydgusgfy i wanted to go more extreme but i was a bit bummed by the self imposed limitations kHdyugs iT IS What it is ily thank you for reading
miya atsumu x fem!reader x miya osamu
Youâre pouting somethinâ fierce, and thick crocodile tears bead your lash line like diamonds.
Osamuâs not entirely sure when it started. If it started at all. Maybe things just happened to play out this way, and it was entirely coincidental, a whisper in the grander scheme of your relationship with his brother - all too small to mention. Maybe safer to say, heâs not sure when he started noticing itâ but once he began, there was nothing to keep him from seeing it too vividly in every interaction.
Youâve been with Tsumu since your last year together in high school. Stuck with him through thick and thin, every busy month, each and every match and scandal and fallout - and Osamuâs nothing but grateful for that. You make him happy, Hell, even a blind man could see how the blond blossoms open when youâre around. Becoming a more grown, dependable version of himself. Some days Osamu blinks and itâs like his mirror image has far surpassed his own grounded maturity, leaving him behind in the dust. And itâs definitely you that brings that out in him - and heâs grateful.
But â he remembers the early days. More than maybe anyone else, Osamu remembers that it wasnât always this way. You were definitely more soft and gentle than they were as teens, but you were no shrinking violet either. A decade ago, Atsumu wouldâve been caught dead underestimating ya like he does with a glitter in his eye now. Like itâs a game the two of you are clued in on. Osamuâs eyes glide over the scene painted before him, sipping his beer from the couch.
âAw, pet, youâve gotta watch where yer goinâ. Câmere, did that hurt?â Atsumu is knelt before you, cupping your face between two rough palms, as he kisses up and down your face. Your wobbly sniffles get hidden in his chest when he pulls you in, and rubs your back like youâre a toddler with a scraped knee. Your hands fist into his shirt before you take a deep breath, going up in his warmth. And his twin beams like heâs the happiest man on the planet, before going to pick you up with a bit too much practiced ease.
Osamuâs not against the pda. Youâve always been touchy, and Tsumuâs a clingy bastard at the best of times. ââM so sorry, baby. Daddy almost walked straight over ya.â Itâs more that he has a problem with. He looks away when Atsumuâs hands slide down to grip your ass and squeeze you extra close, looking down for another kiss that you give like itâs been practiced a hundred times. Heâs not sure if the slight pout you have on is truly the pain though, or more the embarrassment he can see creep up your ears and cheeks.
âIâm sorry for getting in the way,â you whisper back, and by the time Osamu looks up Atsumu has made it back to the couch with a fresh beer, with you now positioned on his lap and wrapped around him like a baby koala. You donât look over at him though, barely acknowledging the strange situation. Almost makes him feel like heâs the one thatâs out of place, even though he came over on Atsumuâs request. Even though he was invited.
Samu takes another chug of his drink, before raising his brows, leaning in with an attempt to catch your eyes. âYer not gonna have any? âS yer fridge weâre looting.â You only disconnect yourself from Atsumuâs chest to look at him with heat on your cheeks, perfectly treated hair shining as it falls along your shoulders.
âNo, thank you. Atsum- uhm- d-daddy doesnât let me have any unless weâre going out. It makes me get all bloated, so âs better I donât.â Your long lashes flutter, before you smile again, but it doesnât quite reach your eyes. âI appreciate you looking out for me, Samu.â Thereâs a beat of silence where his twin seems to give him a look -one he canât really make out- where Atsumu puts his own beer aside to pull you closer by your hips and wrap his arms around you like youâre best molten to his front. âHey,â you whisper then, and Atsumu looks up, âcan I move? My knees hurt a little like this.â
ââS that right? Ya wanna turn so you can look at Samu too?â His brilliant smile is almost bright enough to make him ignore the possessive hands that travel too far down when helping you turn, or the almost-subtle groan he lets out when you wiggle back onto his lap. Osamu stares off into the kitchen instead. âYou wanna sit ân look at someone else âcause I wonât do anything. Is daddy not good ânough? Maybe I spoil ya a lilâ too rotten.â
ââM not rotten~, I do like sitting in your lap,â you squeak out almost sadly, starting to leave little pecks all over Atsumuâs lips as if to shut him up. That would probably be good, Osamu thinks. He doesnât want to consider the possibility that youâre actually tempering him, but it sure does seem like it. âIâm just tired.â And though your voice drops to an almost whisper, heâs too aware of your pouted, glossy lips to not hear every word. Your hands trail through his hair, sliding down his neck with each slow breath. âJust- Daddy, donât be upset. Iâm trying my best.â
You look almost pained to say it, not that his twin cares. âPlease donât get mad.â Anything else passes over Osamuâs head. He just places the empty bottle by his feet and tries to ignore the way youâre now draped onto Atsumuâs lap like you two will start dry humping any second.
ââM not mad, pretty girl.â The blond grabs two handfuls of ass and rocks your waist against him, making you squeak, before he runs his tongue along his teeth with a noise. âIâm just thinkinâ that I don't want Samu ta see ya like this.â
You whimper when Atsumuâs mouth glides along your jaw and throat, falling back into the couch -crown brushing Osamuâs thigh- when his twin pushes and presses a few kisses down your throat and chest. âAlright, letâs go out.â Then he pulls back flushed, and gets you up along with him. âBefore daddy ends up fucking that pretty pussy with a live audience.â He ushers you towards the door with a few pats on your butt. âGo anâ get yer shoes, Iâll tie yer laces for ya, little girl.â
âI- I can really do it myself, âs fine.â
It only makes Atsumu puff out his chest, and stare you down with a hungry stare. âGo on, baby. Yer little enough to need my help.â You donât say anything, but thereâs a tense breath of silence that covers the room before you look away with shame written all over your expression.
Osamuâs too speechless to do much but just stare at the side of his brotherâs face, who barely shows any emotion other than enjoyment at all. Seriously. Itâs not like you to let someone just walk all over you. Or at least, it wasnât like you, as far as he was concerned. Things have clearly changed. He frowns. âDo ya really have ta talk about âer like that when Iâm around, stupid Tsumu? Keep it in yer pants, wouldya?â
Instead of the normally snappy reply that heâd expect, the blond just shrugs, tugging at his waistband like the tightness is a little uncomfortable. âCanât help it. Sheâs so fuckinâ cute whininâ and crying out for me.â Brown irises find Osamuâs, and he smiles. âYouâd feel the same if ya saw what she can do.â He pats his thighs when you come back from the hall, and holds out his hands. âCome âere, little princess. Daddyâll dress ya right up.â
+
Your frilly little implication of a dress is bunched around your hips as he lets you down from another bear hug, and puts on a slight pout. âIâll be back soon, baby. They need an emergency setter for just an hour of practice. Maybe two.â
âItâs never just one hour.â
The overly whiny request only makes Atsumu glitter more, as his eyes flick down your body and his tongue is caught between his teeth. Truly, the guy has absolutely no decency. This was supposed to be a fun weekend away from work for the three of ya. Not that Atsumu seems bothered by that. After a few seconds he kisses your forehead though, letting you lean into his arms and looking ever so teenie tiny compared to your boyfriend -theyâve both filled out in both size and muscle since high school after all- and it becomes even more apparent when Tsumu squeezes you under his chin. âIf ya need anything yaâll ask Samu, alright? Just pretend heâs me.â
You bat your lashes at him, but let your grip on him slowly be peeled off. â... Okay. Can I have dinner while youâre gone?â
âHm, sure.â The blond runs his fingers through his hair. âDaddyâs gonna miss ya. Iâm not gonna be gone fer long.â Then he eyes him with a grin that Osamu kind of wants to slap off of his cheeks. âThanks for âsittin âer.â He doesnât reply with a smart remark about him treating you like a dog, and just gives a vague hum instead. With that he gives the brunet a quick wave, and gathers his phone and keys on his way to the door. You linger around the entrance a bit longer, before slowly returning to the dinner table with slightly heated cheeks. You tuck your knees to your chest when you sit and reach for one of the side dishes â and he canât help but say it when the door falls into lock.
âSo, whatâs all that about?â
âHm?â Your head drops to the side slightly as you put some pickled radish in your mouth and hum. âMm, this âs really good, Samu! Can I have some?â
âHelp yerself,â he nods, and also slides the plates you canât reach closer. Itâs not like he doesnât understand it at all. Youâve got that sort of puppy-eyes look down, big and round and soft wherever you look, no matter who youâre talking to. Itâs the kind of gentleness that calls for protection, and heâs not even the possessive type, but despite that the feeling of being needed sits on his chest and longs to come out. But still. He canât help but think Atsumuâs overplaying his cards. âSeriously though. You know ya can tell my shitty brother no, right? Iâll straighten âem out for ya.â
The words seem to process for a moment, before you load some more food onto your utensils and swallow it with a little noise of thoughtfulness. âI- I donât know. Atsumu says he likes being the provider. At first it was just little stuff he helped with, and I thought it was nice to be cared for.â You fumble a little with the chopsticks when a piece of fish is extra slippery, and smile when he helps you out and picks it up, carrying it towards your mouth. âYou donât know how long itâs been since Iâve fed myself instead of Tsumu doing it for me,â you softly mention. Thatâs weird, ainât it? Thatâs definitely weird.
Still heâs carrying the food to your mouth, and be it instinct, or habit, you look too fuckinâ sweet waiting like a puppy for him to help out, big, doe-eyes and all.
You let the piece onto your tongue, before wrapping those pretty lips around and gratefully humming and â fuck. You donât notice the way his brow ticks, but his stomach rolls with the realization. Instead of lingering too long on the implication that he might feel the same exact way as his twin, he lets you talk, after chewing for a while. âI just- I donât like that he doesnât ever take me seriously anymore. He thinks I canât do anything by myself, even brushing my own teeth, or picking out clothes! Itâs so- so frustrating-â you continue until you run out of air, and seem to suddenly realize who youâre talking to. âOh, donât tell Atsumu that. Please donât tell him. He gets so upset and I donât like it when heâs mad.â
Samu canât help but just nod in agreement, not sure what else to say. He doesnât think his brother would ever hurt ya. Then again, Samu also didnât think his brother was much of a kink lifestyle sort of guy until the last few monthsâ so clearly he doesnât know everything anymore. And you seem⌠okay with it, right? Heâs not sure, really. Would he even have the guts to tell Tsumu off if he was sure you werenât? Instead of lingering on that uncomfortable possibility, he pivots. âLetâs watch somethinâ? What do ya wanna see?â
Your eyes shimmer when they flick up, and you swallow before smiling. âCan I choose?â You wiggle in your seat. âAtsumu -w-well- daddy doesnât let me watch scary stuff, but Iâve been dying to watch the Ring again.â You then lean into his space a little more, and he feels his heart skip a beat. âI assume I donât have to snuggle up to you though? He did say to pretend youâre him butâŚâ You wrap your thin sweater a little closer. âIâll hold your hand? He canât get mad that way.â
How can he say no when youâre staring at him with those fucken stars in your eyes? His fingers find yours on the table, and your hand feels way smaller and softer than his own work-worn ones. âYeah, sure. But ya shouldnât watch nothinâ ta give ya nightmares thoughâŚâ The urge to pick you up and wrap you nice and safe in his embrace becomes stronger by the second, and his eyebrows furrow.
+
Atsumu is quick to descend on you in the safety of the separate room. His hands glide down your sides and hike up your shirt over your arms, before running his fingertips down the valley of your breasts. âSamu was nice to ya?â
âMhm,â you bop your head a few times, shivering when the cooler air peaks your nipples and Tsumu brushes his thumb over them. âHe was- r-really- ah daddy, that tickles.â Your voice trembles when he eyes you down, before letting his fingers trail down to your shorts instead. He motions your butt up and you lift yourself politely, letting him slide those down your legs too as he lifts one and starts placing kisses down your ankle up your leg. âYou said weâd get ready for bed~â
âWe are gettinâ ready,â his smile goes a little crooked when you bite your lip, âjust curious âs all. Ya think Samu likes ya?â He lets you fall back onto the plush covers before walking into the ensuite and coming back with some skincare that he places unceremoniously onto the bedside table- and you frown. If your boyfriend asked you a few years ago, youâd assume he was just genuinely curious. About you getting along with his family, his twin, his other half. But now, thereâs an agenda woven into the words. Always is.
âWe get along well. Why?â
His lips jerk up, and with a simple shrug he continues. âHeâs good too ya, ainât he? Anâ Iâve been thinking I want Samu to watch us some time.â Youâre too shocked to say anything, but your mouth drops open. No.
No, itâs already embarrassing how he makes you whine and whimper like a pet for him when youâre alone. Itâs embarrassing when he makes you call him daddy when thereâs people around with no shame- like he gets off on it. But this- his hands find your face with a soaked cotton pad to start cleaning you with gentle motions, and you find your eyes starting to water. You hate that youâve become this fragile little flower that canât speak up when it matters. Youâd like to think youâre still the same. But your lip wobbles too easily as Atsumu continues, and your voice cracks.
The mortification is too much to bear, it swallows you up whole. He couldnât possibly make you. âI donât want that.â
âWhatâs that?â he coos, eyelids hooded. He leans down to you more.
You push his hand away from your face and frown, but tears still spill over. You fucking hate being such a crybaby. âI donât want Samu to watch us.â You still frown though, doing your best to blink away the waterworks. And instead of taking you seriously - of course - Tsumu tilts his head in that sort of understanding that youâre throwing a tantrum like a toddler might. But youâre serious. You mean it. His freshly washed hair falls over his brows, but his hands still find your shoulders to keep you in place below him.
âAw, baby. Poor girl.â The soft rubbing of his thumb along your skin only makes you more shaky in that feeling, his eyes roaming your body before he pushes you back onto the bed and crawls onto it beside you, pulling you into his touch. It doesnât escape you that youâre already naked and heâs still dressed, keeping you tight. âI didnât mean to upset ya. Shhh, shhh, itâs okay.â You swallow, and push against his chest with a slight whimper - why canât he take you seriously?
âI mean it, Atsumu.â
Before you can say anything else he pinches your cheek hard, and his dark brows lace together. âDonât be rude.â The darkness fades quickly, but he still doesnât show any intention of letting you go. In fact, because of his strength against you youâre only forced deeper into his embrace, head pressed to his warm chest. âDaddyâll take care of you. Always do, donât I?â You open your mouth to retort, but he interrupts again, and squishes your cheeks together before placing a few patient kisses onto your pouty lips. âListen to daddy. Itâll be fine.â
Itâs so frustrating.
You want to move. You want to remove yourself from the situation heâs putting you in, or put on some fucking clothes, and instead youâre being mocked by him. Once more you try to give him a push for some space, but because he barely feels it or pretends not to, you donât make a dent. âTsumu, I donât want to have sex with your brother watching~â you end up crying out, feeling the tears well up again. âGet off of me.â You start wiggling, as his hand wraps around your wrist and forces it to wrap around his body, clamping your hands together behind his back as he rolls over and starts kissing the top of your head.
âDonât cry, donât cry. Everythingâs gonna be okay.â You want him to leave you alone. âMy sweet little girl. You donât gotta fight me, âm not doinâ nothing. Iâm here for ya.â His heartbeat is so steady against you that it makes you want to shove him and scream in his face to fuck off, but of course you donât. You donât scream. You donât push, or fight, or make yourself clear. All you can do is cry into his shirt as his smell wraps around you and you struggle to make the waterworks stop.
âLet go~â you sniffle into his shirt, and shiver when his hands start sliding down to pull you back onto him, forcing his thick, strong thigh between your legs. Your straining muscles give up after a while of pushing back, and his embrace still stays.
âShush, little baby. I got ya, donât worry yer pretty little head.â
âDaddy~â you whine softer this time, and donât fight him when he nudges you face up to kiss him. He groans for a moment in what can only be satisfaction at winning the fight, before rolling over so youâre trapped under his heavy body, chest rising and falling against him. And as you try to stop crying, Atsumu has the nerve to rub your head like all of this isnât his fault.
+
You canât escape the heavy gaze anywhere you look. Itâs suffocating. Not that you have much room to think about it between the way Tsumuâs taking up your space and forcing one of your legs over his shoulder so he can spread you open. Itâs a brief reprieve from the prying eyes blocked by his broad back, but you know it will end. Because Tsumu didnât just drag his twin here to know that someoneâs watching. He wants to make a show of you. To show off the type of power he- oh. Your half-lidded eyes flutter open wider when his fingers spread open your slick and your pussy clenches around nothing.
And Atsumu grins. âYer so quiet, baby. Areâya shy?â You donât answer that, instead trying to chase after his hand when he moves away, wrapping comparatively small hands around his wrist. You can feel the heat of Samu at the foot of the bed, uncomfortably perched onto it with his knee before he dips the mattress further, and your blinks get more rapid.
âDaddy⌠I- I donât-â
âHush,â he moves your other leg aside more, leaving you spread embarrassingly open before he dips his body and glides both hands under your ass, lifting you a few inches. His mouth descends without thinking, kisses and then tongue making you whimper as he eats you out. Not gently, but possessive, demanding licks that drag your split attention right back to him - only until Samu leans forward a little to get a better view. This is so fucking embarrassing. âMh- Taste good, pretty thing.â Atsumuâs eyes have that same cocky, knowing look he always does when he gets you like this. You wonât do anything back, and he knows that. âYer droolinâ all over my chin.â
You are. The slickâs coating his lips when he pulls back, trailing kisses up your thighs, before he slides two fingers inside your squelching pussy traitorously slow, and watches your face scrunch. Heâs big. He always is, and knows it too, big hands, big thighs, chest, shoulders. Most of all, heâs fucked you enough times now to know that you canât take him easily without prep, and even that is embarrassing. You could have gone a whole lifetime without having Osamu know that. Why did he even agree to this?
âLittle brat,â Tsumu says after a few seconds, flicking your nipple painfully as he stares, clenching his jaw. âDonât be rude. Samu came all the way out here to see ya, ân yer gonna lock up the whole time?â You swallow, and try to talk, but he instead curls his fingers inside your pussy and slides them deeper. Right where you canât handle them, until you have no choice but to curl and wiggle away from him, mouth pulling open to moan.
âAh, agh, daddy! Daddy, daddy.â Samuâs broad shouldered figure being barely dressed in a tank and boxers, along with Atsumuâs almost godly physique hanging over you is too much. You shut your eyes. âI canât- f-focus.â You hold onto his arm as he fucks his fingers in and out of you for long enough that your entire body starts tingling, before he peels you off and turns you over. Rough hands hike you onto your knees, and your ass up in the air before his rough palm lands hard and sends a stinging heat through your legs. âOw, ow~â
âThatâs more like it. I know yer a noisy little bitch.â He rubs your lips up and down with his thumb a few more times, before you hear the sound of boxers being peeled off. âNow, what do ya say when daddy will give ya something ya want?â
He presses the hot head of his cock against you but doesnât push in yet, and your poor pussy clenches around nothing as tears fill your eyes and you grip two fistfuls of pillow. You canât say it. Not with Samu sitting right there, judging you both for- another sharp spank makes you shiver, and you whimper into the pillow. The sting aches until heat blooms under the damaged skin, and you unclench your teeth. âPlease, daddy? Please fuck me.â You doubt youâre stretched enough to take him comfortably, even with the fingering and all the wetness coating your puffy pussy and the inside of your thighs. âPretty please?â
Thereâs a few moments before his hand presses down on your back and his cock slides inside, and you do your best not to gasp too much feeling him force you open. It aches though, and you have to widen your knees to make room andâ God it feels so good. Youâre not sure whether to cry because of the feeling, or because you canât stop yourself from moaning high pitched and whiny like a whore putting on her best performance. You really canât help it. âAgh, ah- d-daddy, move, please.â The heavy weight of his cock bottoms out and he presses his heavy balls against you for a few seconds, before pulling out with a groan.
The motion pulls your entire body back, only stopped by his hand, like youâre some cocksleeveâ and you cry harder. âAh, ah, ughâ Atsumu,â you pout, and he pets your head.
âIâm right here, doll. Does that feel good?â You nod, and cling on, before opening your eyes to look at him with his thighs right next to your head and stroking his cock with an almost torturous pace. You whimper when being bottomed out into, and then your eyes shoot open. You canât turn, but the low groan Samu lets out when you clench hard around him, says enoughâ and Tsumu laughs as he watches you panic and your bottom lip wobble, petting your head. Like this is all some big game, keeping you down under his hand while you shake your head.
âNo, no- you said- you said heâd watch- agh, daddy! No, no no no, you promised! You promised.â You canât stop yourself from moaning when he hits deep inside, fucking you much too well. Your mouth falls open as you try to stop the sound, but Tsumuâs touch only gets more demanding as his twin picks up the pace.
âShhh, shhh, Samu likes ya so~ much. Itâs just this one time. And then daddyâll take good care of ya, promise.â

part 4 of to all the boys who live next door anthology series
âAre you sure you donât want me to sit, like, two tables away? What if this guy is sketch?âÂ
You can spot the obvious concern in Pieckâs voice through the speaker of your phone, which is currently face-up on top of your vanity as you get ready. You finish the last steps of your makeup, inspecting yourself in the mirror, satisfied. âDonât worry, Iâve got pepper spray in my purse in case he tries anything funny,â you assure your best friend. Itâs been a while since you last went on a proper date. Pieckâs always been a worry-wart about you meeting strangers from your online dating apps, constantly reminding you to stay vigilant. Tonight is no different.Â
âYou should at least let your hot neighbors know that youâre going out, so they can keep an eye out for you,â she suggests, throwing that in casually. Ever since you moved in a few months ago, sheâs been rooting for you to hook up with either of the two men next door, Eren Jaeger and Reiner Braun. Sheâs met them plenty of times in passing and would much rather you date one of them instead of the countless of mysterious men on your current roster.Â
Thereâs no denying that theyâre attractive. Eren with his long, dark hair, striking eyes, and toned physique. Reiner with his sharp jawline, broad shoulders, and well-groomed goatee. They also happen to be incredibly friendly towards you, always greeting you in the hallway with a genuine smile, asking how your day went or what youâll be up to. Theyâve invited you for dinner on several occasions, which has always been pleasant, sometimes leaning towards the flirtatious side. Youâre sure theyâre just nice guys, cordial neighbors looking out for one another. Thereâs nothing more to it than that, even if a small part of you wants there to be.Â
You step back from your reflection, checking yourself out once one more. âIâll be fine, Pieck.â
âWhat if I canât reach you? There should be at least one other person whoâs aware of your whereabouts, right?â This is what binging too many true crime documentaries does. Still, youâre grateful for your friendâs concern, knowing itâs all out of love. You can tell sheâs actually distressed about this, so you end up agreeing, mostly to appease her. She wishes you well before hanging up as you slip into heels by the door.Â
You tug at the hem of your skimpy black dress, hand motionless on the doorknob. Itâs your first date in over a month. Work has been so busy that you havenât had time for romance or sex. The variety of sex toys tucked away in your drawer has been your only solace these past few weeks. To say youâre ready for some real action is an understatement. Youâre also incredibly nervous, afraid youâve lost your groove. Thatâs why youâve taken extra measures to fully prepare yourself for anything tonight.Â
With a deep breathe, you step out into the hallway, following Pieckâs advice. You knock on your neighborâs door and Eren is the first to answer. His expression brightens when he realizes itâs you. âHi,â he greets you, flashing that charming smile of his. He scans you up and down, taking in your appearance. âWow.â
âIs that a good wow or a bad wow?â you grin, twirling for him.Â
He swallows hard, checking you out once more. âDefinitely a good wow.â
Itâs that extra boost of confidence you need for this date, so youâre appreciative of him. âThank you, Eren. Youâre always so sweet.âÂ
He crosses his arms over his chest, smirking. âSo, hot date tonight?â
You decide to be honest with him. âYeah. Itâs been a minute, so Iâm a little nervous.â
âDonât be. Any guy would be lucky to date you.â His eyes twinkle at you kindly.
You imagine Pieck screaming at you from twenty miles away, begging you to date Eren instead of going out with this random swipe right. Eren is simply a sweet guy paying his neighbor a compliment. Thereâs nothing more to it than that. Before you get the chance to thank him, Reinerâs deeper voice calls out from inside the apartment. âWho is it?â
Without taking his eyes off you, Eren answers with your name. Soon, the blonde joins him, jaw dropping when he notices you. âFuck.â
Eren elbows him in the chest, to which Reiner mutters a strained apology. âSorry. You just look amazing.â
The flattery is almost too much, cheeks warm with embarrassment, stomach fluttering. âThank you.â Reiner is usually the more forward of the two, blurting out whatever is on his mind, though youâre not complaining.Â
Grinning, Reiner asks, âSo, whoâs the lucky guy?â
âSomeone I met online. My friend said I should let my wonderful neighbors know my whereabouts tonight, in case I end up missing,â you explain casually.Â
âHow morbid,â Eren chuckles. âWeâll keep an eye out for you later so that your friend doesnât have to worry.â
âI would appreciate that.â
Reiner raises a brow at you. âUnless youâre planning on sleeping with him. We probably wonât see you if it does go well.â He hunches forward when Eren lands another blow to his chest, shutting his roommate up.Â
You giggle, agreeing with him. âNo, youâre totally right. Iâm going to stay optimistic and say that if I donât come home tonight, thatâs a good thing.â
âWeâll hope for the best, then,â Eren replies, beaming.Â
You turn to leave, waving farewell to them. Reiner yells out, âHave fun tonight! But not too much fun!â
~~~
You return to your apartment complex less than two hours later, heels clicking loudly on the tiled steps, feet heavy with disappointment. After taking a twenty-minute taxi ride to the restaurant you agreed to meet him at, you proceeded to wait an entire hour only to realize that youâve been stood up. No text, no reply, no call. Youâve been made a fool, completely humiliated, the night and the rest of your weekend absolutely ruined by this assholeâs no-show. Â
It takes you a while to dig through your purse for your keys, patience already worn thin. Frustrated, you groan out loud, staring up at the ceiling. âWhy me?â
In the worst timing ever, the door to your left swings open. Eren pops his head out, saying your name curiously.
Reluctantly, you turn to face him. âHey.â Â
He comes out, dressed casually in sweats, hair wrapped in a messy bun with the few stray strands draping the back of his neck. âThat was quick.â
With an unconvincing smile, trying to hide the shame that currently consumes you, you admit, âI got stood up.â
His demeanor changes instantly. The concern on his face is endearing, and when he drifts towards you, he reaches out, then drops his arm, unsure how best to console you without crossing any lines. âNo way.â
You nod, sighing. âItâs true.â
âFuck, Iâm so sorry.â He steps closer to you, hesitantly placing his hand on your shoulder, testing the waters.Â
You smile at him, enjoying this simple touch of comfort. âItâs fine. It is what it is.â
The two of you linger like this, Eren gazing into your eyes, holding you. His palm is hot on the fabric of your dress, and for a split second, you wonder how pleasant itâd be on your bare skin. And maybe itâs your wishful thinking or your desperation for human contact after being rejected tonight, but you can feel the heat of a spark between you now. Before you let your fantasies drive you to do something unprecedented, you search your bag again, finally retrieving your keys. He lets you go, watching you shove them into the keyhole, unlocking the door. âAre you okay?â
In all honestly, youâre not, but thereâs nothing him or anyone else can do about it, right? âIâll be okay. Sucks that I got all dressed up for this, though. What a waste.â
He doesnât respond right away, choosing his words carefully. âWell,â he starts, the faintest blush tinged on his cheeks. âIt doesnât have to be.âÂ
You stare at him, heart beating faster, making sure youâre understanding him correctly. âReally?â
He clears his throat, licking his lips. âYeah. Maybe we can get some use out of it.â
âWe?â
As if on cue, Reiner emerges from inside their apartment, having heard everything. âFuck that shitty asshole. Youâll have way more fun with us.â He stands next to his roommate, grinning at you.
This time, you do listen to Pieckâs voice in your head, yelling at you to go for it. To let these two alluring neighbors of yours take care of you the way you deserve. Already feeling better, you give them a coy smile, opening the door to let them in. âOkay, then. Come on in.â
~~~
Itâs the first time theyâve ever been inside your apartment, though you save the formal tour for later. As soon as the three of you are inside, door shut, shoes off, theyâre both kissing you fiercely. Eren faces you, slipping his tongue into your mouth, hot and heavy. He caresses your sides, squeezing the curves of your body through your dress. Reiner is behind you, grip just below Erenâs, firm on your hips. His lips brush delicately on the nape of your neck, groin pressed to your backside, the bulge protruding from his pants growing harder and harder between your ass cheeks. You moan into the kiss, pussy throbbing in your lingerie, eager to be touched by either man, by both of them. Why did you even bother trying to hook up with strangers online when the perfect matches were beside you all along?
Reiner chuckles, breath hot on your ear, voice low and rugged. âYouâre really horny, arenât you? All dolled up and ready to be fucked, huh?â There he goes again, blunt and straightforward and so fucking sexy, exactly what you need tonight.Â
And here is Eren, soft and gentle, committed to kissing you, whispering sweet nothings any chance he gets. âYouâre beautiful. Such a gorgeous girl. So pretty for us.â Also exactly what you need.Â
You lead them into your bedroom, Eren flipping on the light switch, keeping his lips on you while Reiner strips out of his clothes, starting with his pants. Eren does the same, hoisting his shirt off, revealing his impressive figure. You attempt to slip out of your dress, but Reiner stops you. âKeep it on,â he rasps, down to his underwear now, boner more obvious, poking out from his briefs. Â
Eren pinches your butt, snapping the tight fabric to your skin. âWeâre not letting this go to waste, remember?â
You nod mindlessly, brain hazy with lust, too eager to be fucked. âFuck me,â you beg, spit smeared all over your lips.Â
They both laugh softly, walking you towards the bed. âSo impatient, so needy,â Eren coos, positioning himself in front of you, toying with the hem of the skirt.
Reiner sits up against the headboard, propping you up on his lap, your back pressed to his muscular chest. âWhatâs the rush, baby?â he teases, licking a stripe behind your ear. âWeâre going to take care of you. Right, Eren?â
Eren bites his lip as he works your dress up past your thighs until itâs bunched up at your hips, exposing your soaked thong on your wet cunt. âOh fuck yeah,â he huffs, salivating. âGonna make you feel so good. Make you come so fucking much.â
You spread your legs wider for him, a pathetic whine escaping your throat, more and more desperate by the second. He hooks his finger on the crotch of your panties, smirking at the string of arousal that stretches between the fabric and you. âSo fucking wet, holy shit.âÂ
He tugs it all the way off your legs, tossing it over to Reiner, who brings it up to his nose, taking a big whiff. âSuch a slut for wearing these on a first date. Our naughty girl.â He lets your lingerie fall from his grasp onto the floor, sliding to the plush of your thighs, keeping your legs spread apart.Â
Eren dives in, spreading his wide tongue flat on your clit, moving it side-to-side, stimulating you into your first orgasm. Your knees twitch from the sensation, the pleasure rippling through you like waves of ecstasy. You turn your head towards Reinerâs, opening your mouth, pleading him for a kiss. He obliges, sticking his tongue inside you, slurping up your saliva, hungry for it. âYouâre so fucking nasty,â he growls, reaching for the drawer beside the bed. âBet you have toys hiding in here. Why donât we have some more fun and play with them?â You whimper wantonly, keen on the idea of Reiner using whatever he wants on you to make you come again.Â
He finds exactly what heâs looking for: your precious anal plug, tapered on one end, heart-shaped gem on the other. When he pulls it out, he barks out a laugh, almost like he canât believe his luck. âYou really are a whore,â he whispers in your ear, sinister and wicked, about to have too much fun with this. âDid you prep yourself to be fucked in the ass? Be honest.â Even Eren pauses, peering up at you, curious.Â
âYes,â you mewl, squirming with arousal, body tingling all over.
Erenâs chuckle reverberates against your clit, releasing you from his mouth to lap at your wet slit. âGood girl,â he muffles, collecting your cum on his tongue. âSo perfect for us.â
The dynamic between them spurs you on, Eren playing the good guy, Reiner playing bad. Both of them work together with a common goal in mind: to cheer up their pretty neighbor from what would have been a bummer of a night. But already, youâre thankful that you were stood up; youâre certain now that this is the much better alternative.Â
âEren, switch spots with me,â Reiner demands. âAnd you,â he says, giving you a quick peck on the cheek. âOn your stomach.â
You both obey him without protest. Eren leans against the headboard with a dazed look in his eyes, licking his shiny, cum-coated lips. He smiles as you gaze up at him, wrapping your fingers around his shaft, stroking him. You open wide, tapping the tip of his dick on your tongue before sinking down on him until youâre too the hilt, swallowing him into the back of your throat. He cups yours cheeks, caressing you gently. âSo fucking pretty with my cock in your mouth. My gorgeous girl.â You accept the praise shamelessly, relishing the distinct taste of him.
From behind, Reiner worships you, squeezing your ass cheeks, spreading them apart to ogle at your fluttering hole. Without warning, he hocks a frothy wad of spit directly onto it, teasing his thumb on the rim. âFuck, baby,â he utters as you moan on Erenâs cock. âIâm gonna put it in now, okay?â
You nod, taking Eren deeper, your nose pressed to his groin, drool leaking from the sides of your mouth, bracing yourself. The plug is slick with lube as Reiner pushes it in carefully until the heart-shaped jewel is flush to your hole. He swears under his breath, marveling at the sight before him, cock pulsating in his fist. You stay like this for a while, adjusting to the toy inside you. It really did help that you prepared for this earlier.Â
âSo sexy,â Eren murmurs from above you, staring on your backside. âYou take it so good, sweetheart.â
âLike an obedient slut,â Reiner adds, using his thumb to push the plug the slightest bit deeper. He lifts your hips to position himself below you so that youâre straddling his face. âCan you come again, baby?â
âOf course she can. Sheâs our good girl,â Eren purrs, petting your head softly as you continue to blow him.Â
Reiner eats you out sloppily, different from Eren, whoâs intentional with his every move. It sends you into another frenzy, pushing you closer and closer over the edge, especially when he begins playing with the plug, pumping it in and out of you slowly. Youâre overstimulated with Erenâs hot cock throbbing in your mouth, clit swollen on Reinerâs tongue, and asshole puckered around the smooth glass of the plug. You reach your climax easily, gushing all over Reinerâs face, riding out your orgasm until youâve completely soaked him in your juices. He drinks it all up, messy and greedy for every drop of you he can scour. He really is as insatiable as you imagined heâd be.Â
You release Eren to catch your breath, to which he tips your chin up to face him. âYouâre incredible,â he says, the familiar twinkle in his eyes making your heart race. You paw at his chest, crawling up to meet him for a kiss.Â
Reiner quickly joins the two of you, not wanting to be left out, rubbing his hard cock between your ass cheeks. You kiss the both of them at the same time, all of your saliva mingling together into a hot, wet mess that youâre currently intoxicated by. After a moment, Eren pulls back. âDoes our pretty girl want to get fucked now?â
âShow us how big of a cock slut you are,â Reiner grunts, circling the jeweled end of the plug, teasing your hole.Â
Eren helps remove the dress off you completely, hoisting it off your body. He stretches his arm towards the drawer. âAre the condoms in here too?â
You shake your head briskly, bringing his attention back to you. âI want it raw. Want you to fill me up.âÂ
They both moan, clearly fond of your request, kissing you feverishly. Eren nudges your breast into his mouth, latching onto your nipple. Reiner sucks the skin all along your neck, leaving his love marks, growling, âYou want us to breed you, huh? Want all this cum inside these tight little holes of yours. Oh fuck.â His voice is rough and husky, gradually losing his composure.Â
Erenâs remains tender, his breath soft on your bosom. âWeâre going to breed you so good, sweetheart.â He shimmies down the bed, lying flat on his back, peering up at you with adoration. You straddle him, rubbing yourself on his shaft, needy for friction on your aching clit.
Reinerâs embraces you from behind, groping your chest, focusing on his roommateâs dick and your wet cunt gliding along it. He reaches between you and Eren, fisting his friendâs cock with fast strokes. âLook how hard he is for you. Heâs going to fuck you so good. Make you cream all over the sheets.â Your pussy is sopping with arousal from the dirty talk alone, but watching Reiner touch Eren has you dizzy.Â
âFuck, Reiner,â Eren moans, throat bobbing as he swallows hard. âThatâs so fucking hot.â He lets his roommate jerk him off while you continue to grind yourself on him. Soon, he replaces Reinerâs fist with his own, cockhead glistening with precum. âAre you ready, sweetheart?â
Reiner moves to your swollen bud, tapping it with his thick fingers. âOh yeah, sheâs fucking ready. Come on, cock sleeve. Put it in.â
Without wasting another second, you line yourself up with him. Eren slides in smoothly, his entire length in you, pussy stretched around him perfectly. You whimper from the fullness, his cock to the hilt and the plug nestled in your backside. Reiner places his hand on your posterior, urging you to lean down so that your chest-to-chest with Eren, who kisses you passionately, remaining still inside you. âEren,â you whimper his name, drooling into his mouth. He smiles against you, delighted at how fucked out you are for him.
Reiner adjusts his stance, hovering over you by planting one foot on the bed to prop his knee up, giving him enough leverage. He focuses on the plug, tugging it out just barely only to push it back in, repeating this several times, causing you to cry out in pleasure. Finally, he removes it completely, staring wide-eyed at your gaping hole, oh-so-inviting for his fat cock. âLook at that,â he croons, circling your rim with his finger, sensitive to his touch.
You want so badly to be stuffed full by both of them. In a trembling voice, you whine, âPlease, Reiner.â
Laughing, he delivers a harsh smack to your ass, skin immediately stinging from it. He dribbles more of his spit onto you, teasing the tip of his dick on the rim. âNot yet, slut.â You canât see him, too immersed in kissing Eren right now, but you can practically hear the wicked grin on his face, watching you squirm below him as he torments you.
Eren intervenes, annoyed with his friendâs behavior. âCome on, Reiner. Give her what she wants. She deserves it.â He nuzzles his nose to yours. âSheâs been a very, very good girl.â
Eventually, Reiner relents. âYouâre right. Sheâs a good girl. And good girls deserve to get fucked in both holes.âÂ
You shiver at his perverse words, bracing yourself. At last, he guides himself inside you, filling you to the brim. Itâs better than any fantasy you could dream of, the sensation so intense, tears begin welling in your eyes.
They start thrusting simultaneously, Eren pummeling your cunt from below, Reiner pounding your ass from behind. Itâs messy and raunchy, their hands slippery all over your body from lube, slick, and sweat. The air surrounding you is laden with lust and desire. The collective moans from all three of you echo off the walls of your small bedroom, along with the squeaks of your mattress creaking under the weight of your vigorous lovemaking.Â
Reiner is rendered speechless now, totally concentrated on pumping his cock in and out of your fluttering hole, the only sound from his mouth being his ragged breaths. Eren slips one hand between you, his digits pressed to your puffy clit as he fucks up into your pussy. The other fondles your tit, thumb flicking your nipple until itâs perky. He continues to praise you, constantly musing about what a good girl you are, how perfect you are for them.Â
At this point, youâve lost track of how many times youâve come. Youâre in a perpetual state of ecstasy, surrounded by the two hottest men in your life who are voracious for your orgasms. The sour memory from earlier has completely faded and all you can think about is the sweet bliss youâre currently indulging in.Â
Eren is the first to come, no longer able to endure it. His even thrusts turn erratic. âFuck, Iâm coming. Iâm coming inside you sweetheart, oh fuck.â
You kiss him languidly, drinking up his moans as he floods your cunt with his load. Soon, Reiner swears loudly, announcing his own climax. âFuck, gonna breed this slutty hole.â His cock swells, spurting his warm seed inside you.
You relax on top of Eren, whoâs equally as spent as you. Reiner pulls out slowly, fixated on his own cum dripping out of you. âFuck. Letâs see the other one, baby.â You lift off Eren, who almost seems reluctant to let you go. Both of them watch with hazy expressions as his creamy load spills out of you and onto his lap.Â
The room is musty with the scent of sex, the sheets messy and stained beneath you. Despite that, youâre on cloud nine, soaring high from having the nastiest mĂŠnage ĂĄ trois with your next-door neighbors.
Maybe you should try getting stood up more often.Â

Goodnight
Sebastian x f.Reader
Sebastian has a crush on you.

You hiccupped. The smell of cinnamon and nutmeg on your breath, and your body warm to the touch thanks to Robinâs spiked eggnog.
âYou, okay?â Pennyâs voice was sweet and thick like syrup. The lull in her speech let you know she had enjoyed Robinâs brandy-infused concoction too.
âMhmm,â you hummed, your thoughts hazy and your cheeks flushed. Penny held out a wet plate for you to dry. The wide, round ceramic dish thinned as she laid it flat in her grasp and passed it to you. You took it, dried it with the dishcloth bunched in your hand and set it aside on the counter.
âThanks for staying to help clean,â Maru spoke while swaying a broom across the wooden floors. She paused next to Penny and kissed her cheek.
âOh,â Penny giggled and held her small hand against her coral lips. You peered over at the rise and fall of Pennyâs shoulders as she giggled for way too long, and you realized you had never seen the mild-mannered bookworm this drunk.
âYeah, no problemâhey, thanks for inviting me,â you smiled politely and dried your hands with the cloth in your hands. Penny and Maru shared a prolonged, lustful glance. Their eyes round and glazed with devotion. You took it as your cue. âI should probably go.â
âNo,â Penny grunted, belligerent. She latched onto your arm before being overtaken by another fit of giggles. When she realized what she had done, she let go of you and took a step back, nearly toppling over. But Maru held out her arms and steadied Penny before leaning the broom against the kitchen counter.
âI think you should lie down,â Maru guided Penny toward her bedroom in the same way Demetrius had done for Robin only an hour ago. You watched Maru cart Penny away. Pennyâs feet drumming on the floor as she stumbled. The two disappeared into the hallway and left you alone in the kitchen. A wave of loneliness washed over you and pressed down your chest. You had been chronically single since youâd moved to Pelican townâand as much as you loved seeing your two friends happyâit made you feel even more alone at times.
You peeled your winter coat off the back of a kitchen chair and fitted your arms into the sleeves.
âHeading out?â Maru stood in the doorway while you buttoned up your coat.
âYep,â you looked over your shoulder to glance at her and stuffed your hands in your coat pockets.
âIâll walk you out,â Maru turned her back to you and you followed her. âSorry about Penny,â Maru examined you briefly, âshe didnât realize the eggnog was spiked.â
âSheâs fine,â you shrugged and smiled, âweird seeing her drunk though.â A quick loud laugh jostled Maruâs body.
âIt is weird,â you peered at Maruâs shiny painted lips as she spoke. A small silence passed. âSo,â Maru drawled, âmeet anyoneâŚnice?â
A rush of warmth gathered in your face and Maru stopped walking to stare at you. A photo of Robin holding a tiny version of Maru hung on the wall next to Maruâs head. You looked away from Maruâs shining eyes and continued down the hall.
âEr,â you sighed, âno.â
The two of you stood in front of the entrance to Robinâs shop.
âOh,â Maru sounded disappointed, and you couldnât help but feel like you had failed her in some way. âReally? I thought you mightââ
âItâs fine,â you drew a dash in the air with your hand, âyou donât have to set me up.â
âI know,â Maru mumbled while you clutched the doorknob and gave it a twist.
You could not wait to get home.
But as soon as you opened the door, you heard the whirring of strong winds and looked down to see the ground piled high with snow. A heavy gust slammed the door shut and you inwardly groaned.
âLooks like youâre staying,â Maruâs words rang in your ears and played in your mind on a loop.
The last time Maru and Penny had stayed at your house, the two had woken you up in the dead of night. What could only be described as them devouring each other had echoed throughout the farmhouse. You were too embarrassed to tell them you were awake and turned on your side. Away from them. And tried to go back to sleep. But it was no use, and you couldnât look either of them in the eye for a week.
This time felt like itâd be worse. Because prior to the symphony of your friends having sloppy drunk sex, thereâd be an interrogation. Millions of questions would be asked about what you thought of every guy you had spoken to at Robinâs winter star party. And as much as you loved Penny and Maru, you preferred your warm bed to the hard wooden floor.
âNo,â you shook your head from side to side and turned the knob again, but the wind tugged the door shut. No, no, no, no, your thoughts cried while you rested your forehead on the door.
âYou alright?â Marus eyebrows rose above her curious stare.
âYeah,â you lifted your head away from the door and released the knob, âI just donât want to intrudeâŚ,â your voice carried, and Maruâs eyes widened. And judging by the splash of pink splattered across her nose and cheeks, you figured she understood.
âI know the floors are a bit stiff,â Maru spoke quickly.
âUh-huh,â you nodded in agreement, âvery stiff.â Maru covered her shoulder with her hand and scratched her purple shirt.
âI guess you could sleep on Sebâs couch.â
You swallowed hard at the thought. Youâd spoken to Sebastian a few times, but he wasnât exactly a talker. And was always eager to excuse himself from conversation. Even at his motherâs winter star party he hadnât bothered to make an appearance.
âIâll tell Seb,â Maruâs voice was chipper now. She was visibly pleased with her solution and walked to the basement steps. You held your arms out, as if to stop her. But formed fists when you realized your fate had been decided, and your arms dropped to your sides before catching up to Maruâs stride.
âSeb,â Maru called to him while knocking on his door. There was no response. âI know youâre in there,â Maruâs tone dropped an octave, and it sent chills down your spine. You heard Sebastian groan and the swish of plastic wheels gliding across the floor. You glanced at Maru staring directly at the door as the knob clicked and Sebastianâs face appeared in the small gap he formed.
âSheâs sleeping on your couch tonight,â Maru informed him while pointing her thumb at you. Sebastianâs sight trailed away from Maruâs stern expression to you. You feigned surprise. His piercing grey eyes stood out against his ruffled midnight black hair. He chewed his lip and the steel ring that followed the curve of his bottom lip wiggled.
âFine,â you watched his lip ring move as he spoke. Sebastian blinked, and his long lashes bounced on his smooth skin. You could have sworn he was moving in slow motion. The bass of Maruâs voice seemed to play in the distance, becoming louder untilâŚ.
âHey!â you jumped, and time returned to its normal pace. Stunned, you responded with a blank stare and a smirk spread across Maruâs face like wildfire. âIâll get you a blanket,â her voice wavered menacingly, taunting you.
âI,â you cut yourself off, trying to find a way to deny what had happened while you nearly chased Maru up the stairs.
Sebastianâs lips curled like a pink ribbon. He left the door ajar and went to sit down on his desk chair. Waiting for you.
Maru pulled a quilted blanket from a cabinet in the hallway and passed it to you.
âYou know, I wasnât,â you struggled to explain yourself while Maru laid the folded green quilt in your arms.
âChecking out my brother?â Maru finished your sentence and Pennyâs voice flooded the hall. She was groaning Maruâs name as if to summon her.
âI donât know if Iâd put it like that,â you gripped the blanket, digging your fingers into the cloth.
âHow would you put it?â Maru teased while the ends of her mouth reached for her ears. And you contemplated if freezing to death in the snowstorm was a better alternative.
âI donât know what you mean,â your words were followed by a nervous laughter.
âRight,â Maru laughed, and you felt your friendâs eyes burn through your farce. âAnd technetium is a man-made element.â Your brows lowered and pressed together while you tried to understand Maruâs reference. But you gave up and decided it was another one of her jokes only Penny would understand. You were hesitant to respond.
âUh, sure?â
âGoodnight,â Maru chuckled and patted the blanket in your arms before following the sound of Pennyâs summoning spell.
Sebastian watched you push his bedroom door open, and his heartbeat took the pace of a hummingbirdâs wings. Your body language was rigid, and he wondered why you were so uncomfortable.
âHey,â you whispered, eyes pointed downward while setting the folded blanket on the armrest of his black couch.
âHey,â he responded, and you jerked your head upwards to see him smiling at you. A jolt of panic and pleasure shocked you. You smiled back, although you felt like it may have been crooked, or not good enough in some way. At least not as perfect as his smile.
âSorry to bother you,â seated at his desk, Sebastian watched you unbutton your coat as you talked to him. His insides felt like a knot being tugged tightly.
âYou donât bother me,â his response was immediate. Rushed. He squeezed his eyes shut for a moment and berated himself for being so cringe.
âAre you sure?â you regretted it as soon as you said it.
âIâm sure,â Sebastian laughed, a little too loud. With his elbow rested on the desk, he lowered his head into his hand and stared down at his keyboard to hide his face from you.
Dammit Maru, he cursed her from the safety of his mind. Did she do this on purpose? How did she know?
âIf itâs too much I can sleep on the shop floor or something, you know, I donât want you to feel like you have to,â your words were jumbled as you strung them together in a hurry. Sebastian covered both his eyes with his hands and took a deep breath.
âThe shop floor?â Sebastian laughed and pressed his face further into his palms before raising his head away from them.
âYeah,â the electric shame you felt made your eyes water. âI can go,â you started to gather the blanket back in your arms, but Sebastian stood. His movements were so abrupt his chair flew backwards and almost tipped over.
âNo!â he shouted, and you froze. Sebastian felt like he was moving outside the confines of his body. That you could somehow see all the times and ways he had thought of you. The silence that followed was painful. Your timid hands finished taking off your coat and you laid it down on his couch. Eyes wet and your mind spinning.
âOkay,â you crossed your arms and hugged yourself while your eyes bounced around the room. Focusing on anything other than Sebastian.
âHow about something to drink?â Sebastianâs fist pulled at the collar of his black t-shirt.
âThatâd be nice,â your voice squeaked, and Sebastian nodded before rushing past you and leaving the room.
You loosened your grip on your torso and lowered yourself onto the couch. You looked straight ahead at the small table crowded by three green stools and took deep breaths. In retrospect maybe listening to Penny and Maru get it on was the better choice. You had forgotten how strained every interaction you had with Sebastian was. It was no wonder he wanted to get away from you as fast as possible. You must have ruined his evening.
You picked at the thick hem of the couch cushion and tried not to cry.
Sebastian returned and handed you a large, plastic cup filled with Robinâs eggnog. It was a lot of alcohol, and you were grateful. Maybe if you got drunk enough you could pass out and this night would be done. Surprised, a small groan vibrated in your throat when Sebastian sat beside you, holding a cup that matched yours.
âI didnâtâif you donât want to hang out,â Sebastian moved to stand. Without thinking, you reached out and snatched a section of his fuzzy plaid pajama pants.
âDonât go,â your eyes met. Sebastian swallowed hard and sat back down. It took you a second to realize you were still holding onto his pants. You tore your hand away and turned away from him. Facing the green stools again, you took a sizeable sip of eggnog. You were thankful the effect of the alcohol was immediate.
Sebastian wondered if you could hear his accelerated breath. If you had made note of his sweaty palms yet. This is why he couldnât bear to have any prolonged social contact with you. He couldnât understand what he ever did to Maru to deserve this. Even if it was what he wanted, this wasnât one of the many scenarios he had played out in his head. Â
âSo,â you both stated in unison, turning your heads to look at each other before immediately looking away. You giggled and Sebastian thought he might combust into a million fragments of himself. He imagined you looking on in horror as chunks of his flesh floated in the air.
âDid you have fun at the party?â he blurted. Everything he said seemed to spill from him like he was in a constant state of overflowing.
âSure,â you grinned dumbly, eyes settled on the frothy white liquid in your cup. âItâs too bad you couldnât make it,â you joked and took another drink.
âCouldnât find a ride,â Sebastian shrugged, and you choked on the eggnog in your throat but forced it down. You faced each other again and a flood of warmth washed over you. Your body tingled and your mind was blank while your cheeks felt strained from how hard you were smiling. Your shoulders relaxed, and an avalanche of relief tumbled throughout Sebastian. âBut crowds arenât really my thing,â Sebastian explained, running his hand through his hair. You bit your lip as you watched the tufts of black glide through the spaces between his fingers. His hand rested on his neck while he waited for your response and took a drink.
âFor sure, I get that,â your head bobbed up and down for a moment. âSecretly, Iâm not really a fan either, but Maru really wanted me to come,â you winked at Sebastian, and he held his next breath hostage for a moment before releasing it.
âBecause they keep trying to set you up with someone,â Sebastian spoke without thinking. You stared at him, eyes wide and horrified. And Sebastian wondered if he had exploded. He certainly felt like it would be a good time to do so. âShit, Iâm so, so sorry.â
âWow.â
âI heard them talking about it earlier,â Sebastian tried to explain himself and squeezed his neck with his hand.
âI wish they wouldnât,â you murmured, making an executive decision to start chugging the drink in your hand. The cup covered your mouth and you lapped at the eggnog like an errant dog. You were hopeful for the first time tonightâhopeful you could escape the levels of social hell you had endured throughout the night. If not physically, then mentally. You promised yourself youâd never let Maru talk you into another party again. But you knew it was a comforting lie you didnât have the guts to follow through with.
âI get it,â then Sebastian took a drink too. And you wondered if he too was trying to dig himself out of the hole the two of you had found yourselves in, and if the attempts at conversation he made were out of pity. Even if they were, you felt grateful heâd even bother trying after being imposed on. Â
âReally?â your eyes gleamed. Sebastian swallowed a mouthful of brandy with a splash of eggnog and rolled his tongue across the back of his front teeth. So cute, his mind whirred like the strong winds outside his home. Sheâs so cute.
âSam and Abby try to set me up all the time,â Sebastianâs eyes averted your gaze and you looked away from him in the hopes of making him feel more comfortable.
âWith who?â your curiosity got the better of you.
âRecent? Some girl from the city,â from the corner of your eye you watched Sebastian lift his shoulders to his ears before letting them drop. They seemed heavy. Invested, you straightened your back and leaned closer to him.
âWhat happened?â You watched him squirm a bit in his seat next to you while holding his cup over his lap with both his hands.
âShe said I took too long to text her back,â the pointed tip of his nose twitched, âso I stopped texting her.â And he took a drink. You stared at him for a moment before allowing yourself to be swept up in a dry chuckle. âWhat?â he scoffed and twisted his torso to set his drink aside on his desk. He reached out and offered to take your cup. You held your hand out and chugged the last of your drink before handing it to him. You let the brandy hammer away at you, pressing your worries further into the depths of your mind until they disappeared.
âWhat do you mean, what?â you chuckled and laid your palm flat against Sebastianâs arm. Squeezing it before letting go. Thanks to the alcohol, the knot in his stomach wasnât as tight now, but he still felt it wrench inside him.
Do you think Iâm a bad person for doing that? is what he had wanted to say, but he couldnât bring himself to ask.
âShe wanted me to text her like every hour of the day,â he explained himself, in the hopes you wouldnât think any less of him.
âOh,â you beamed, âyou donât have to feel bad about it.â
âNo?â he cocked his head to the side and wiggled his lip ring with the tip of his tongue. Mesmerized, you studied the contours of his mouth. Sebastian watched your gaze and realized what you were doing. His lips widened into a playful grin, and your body responded with a growing tightness in your lower belly. âAreâŚare you staring at me?â Sebastian leaned his head toward yours and you looked away from him. You covered your face in your hands and titled your body forward. âYou are, arenât you?â he teased and swept his hand across your back. When you didnât recoil, he lifted his hand and stroked your hair. It tickled the tips of his fingers. You lifted your head away from your hands and held them next to your face. Â
âWould you please stop pretending you donât know how hot you are,â you chanted while waving your hands back and forth.
Sebastianâs head jolted back in surprise and held both his palms against his chest.
âMe?â His mind shook like a cave collapsing.
âYoba,â you whined, âIâm just going to go die in the snow,â you moved to stand.
âHey, come on,â Sebastian chuckled while grabbing your hips and giving them a light tug. âStay here with me.â You plopped back down on the couch. Your words had given Sebastian a rush of confidenceâbut he was still not entirely emboldenedâso he let go of you.
âI always thought you didnât like me,â you confessed.
Didnât think I liked you? Sebastianâs thoughts protested. Sheâs lost her mind.Â
âWha-Why?â he narrowed his eyes and for a moment held his hands out with his palms open.
âThis is so embarrassing,â you whimpered, tapping your feet against the floors. You stared up at the ceiling for a minute before looking at him. âI donât know, it seemed like you didnât like talking to me.â
Sebastian considered telling you how you had made him too nervous to speak but decided against it.
âI donât talk a lot,â he explained while wiping his sweaty palm on his shirt.
âI know,â you touched his shoulder briefly. A spark of excitement rippled throughout his body each time you felt comfortable enough to touch him. âI guess I kind of hopedâŚyouâd want to talk to me. I know itâs dumbâŚ.â
âThis whole thing with Maruâyou met someone yet?â Sebastian questioned you, a single brow arched. You gazed at him. Eyes half open. Peering past a dreamy film.
Sebastian decided the only way you could make it any clearer you liked him was if you wrote it in sharpie on your forehead. And he was officially emboldened.
Before you could form a response, he leaned closer. Fear and excitement popped inside you. His hot breath trailed across your face, and it smelled like sweet cinnamon. Too stunned, it wasnât until you felt the steel of his lip ring mark your bottom lip that you kissed him back. Your insides boiling like a pot of water. Sebastian felt your lips melt against his and was slow to pull away. Your lips peeled apart. With your foreheads pressed, and eyes locked, you could both hear and feel each otherâs strained breaths.
Sebastain nodded his head yes and you did the same.
He leaned onto the back of the couch, and you followed his lead. You lifted your leg to sit on his lap, and Sebastianâs hand glided across your thigh, pulling you to him. When the crotch of your jeans hovered above his lap, he grabbed your face with both his hands and pulled you closer. His lips cradled your top lip for a few seconds before he withdrew. Palms latching onto your cheeks, you felt his right thumb stroke your jaw.
It was as if he had been plucked from reality and placed inside a shaken snow globe. Sebastianâs body was warm. Light. His shoulders didnât feel heavy anymore. He couldnât remember the last time he felt this good.
Your hands rested on his chest and crumpled his t-shirt. A desperate attempt to ground yourself in what you had to assume was a lucid dream.
His thumb moved from your jaw to the center of your bottom lip. He pressed the pad of his thumb down and watched it dent your lip. You spread your legs and sank further into his lap, grazing his dick with your crotch.
âYouâre so fucking hot,â he whined, dragging his thumb down your bottom lip before pulling you into another kiss. This time, he held his tongue out and lightly licked your top lip before covering your mouth with his. He parted his lips, and your lungs were filled with his breath. You pushed your hips even further into his.
While your mouths moved in synchronized movements and his tongue fumbled with yours, Sebastianâs hands dropped to your waist and held you still as he bucked his bulge against your jeans. You severed the kiss. With a flushed face, your eyes begged Sebastian for more. His dick pushed against his pants and ached. He took the opportunity to lift your shirt. You took the hint and grabbed the hem to raise your shirt over your head. Sebastian preoccupied himself with unclasping your bra while your head disappeared behind your shirt before reappearing.
Once he finished freeing the last clasp, he was quick to shimmy your bra away from your chest. And even quicker to grab a breast in each of his hands. He paused and admired the sight of his hands holding your tits. Your nipples poked through the space between his splayed fingers. He leaned over and dragged your nipple across his tongue, until the rounded tip of your tit met the tapered end of his pink tongue. He swirled the tip of his tongue around your sensitive mound of flesh and a tickle of pleasure radiated throughout your body. You wiggled on his lap. Sebastain squeezed his thighs together, desire radiating throughout his shaft and pulsating in the head of his cock. Â
You slid your hand down his chest and cradled his bulge in your warm hand. Rubbing the cloth around his erect dick. Sebastian let go of your boobs and grabbed your wrist. Guiding your hand away from his cock, he brought it up to his lips and kissed the back of it.
âTake your pants off for me?â
The nod you responded with was eager, and you teetered off his lap to fulfill his request. Â
He hooked his thumbs in his boxers and lifted his hips to pull them off alongside his pants. His cock free now, he stroked himself while watching you undress.
Sebastian held the base of his stiff dick between his thumb and his index finger. You looked down at the cough-drop-colored tip slathered in precum and crawled back on top of his lap. You inhaled sharply as you lowered yourself onto his dick. Sebastian sucked his stomach in to get the best view of his dick entering your wet pussy. He chewed on his lip as the girth of his fat cock caused the glossed ruffles of your cunt to split apart. Once he had bottomed out you leaned forward to kiss him and felt his length slip out of your pussy. Sebastian didnât hesitate to guide his cock back inside you before pushing your hips down. And then up. Setting the pace he wanted, you followed his instruction.
His fingers pressed against your clit, and you recoiled from his touch, pushing your hips away. Causing him to adapt a lighter pressure, he circled the edges around your clit softly. You moaned and bounced on his cock faster. He didnât bother to stop you as you used his cock.
Soft whimpers were charmed from your lungs despite your desperate attempts to muffle them. The simmer of your desire scorched into an inferno until the ripples of ecstasy swam in your stomach and released you from the fire.
Sebastian came shortly after you and held your waist as he spilled into you.

I Can Go Anywhere I Want- Just Not Home | Bucky Barnes x Reader
Hi, friends. I've been BUSY with school and this one took fucking forever. But it means a lot to me, I hope you like it. :)
Word count: 13.3k
AUTHOR'S NOTE: do me a favor and pretend Bucky didn't disappear in the blip. ok thanks bye.
Warnings: talk of financial struggles, food insecurity, housing insecurity
A familiar shape stepped onto the sidewalk just ahead, freeing itself from the shadows of a rundown motel. The lines and curves of this body forced your heart into your throat. Time seemed to stop. The world round you ceased its turning. Youâd know those broad shoulders anywhere, and youâd remember that sharp jaw even after your soul left this mortal coil.Â
You stood there, your feet rooted in the concrete, watching him with a longing that tore through your chest. How long had it been since you last saw him? How many months had passed since you last spoke? You made yourself stop counting the days long ago; it was too depressing, too pathetic. But while you forced your brain not to continue the tally, your heart kept count.Â
His sudden motion caught your attention, pulling you from your thoughts. The shape that once resembled home headed down the street, slipping through your fingers a second time. But you couldnât let him get away- not again.Â
Even after you freed your feet and increased your pace, he remained ahead. His long legs carried him away from you as he glided past people on the sidewalk. His hands rested in his pockets, concealing his trademark from the world. His head bowed forward, he kept his gaze down. He didnât want to catch the eye of the public. But he caught yours.Â
âBucky?â your call came out a desperate plea. Blowing his cover wasnât your goal, but he was too fast. You had to stop him before he vanished again.
He stopped in his tracks at the sound of your voice. You couldâve sworn you saw his head fall another inch or two, as though he were disappointed to know youâd found him.
But he turned. And for the first time in almost a year, he faced you.Â
âBucky.â It wasnât a question this time, but an affirmation. A reassurance. An unstoppable smile pulled at your lips, a sigh of relief left your chest. You almost wept. âHiâŚâÂ
The darkness that clouded your mind in his absence parted all at once, making way for a golden glow of twinkling lights. You hadnât seen him since the battle. Since the shimmering portals. Since everyone returned home after Thanos fell.Â
He simply stopped answering your calls. Your texts. He didnât return your voicemails.Â
To this day, you wondered what you did wrong. What you did that pushed him so far away. It wasnât like him to ice you out, to cut you off without warning. He had baggage, sure, but he never shied away from you. Not like this. At one time, you were his closest friend. His most trusted confidante. And he was yours. You spent every moment together, taking shelter in each other. But not anymore.Â
Each night, you recounted the last time you saw him. You analyzed every detail, scrutinizing the minutiae of the interaction. Maybe you said something that offended him. Maybe you did something hurtful. But no matter how hard you wracked your brain, not one single red flag made an appearance. And it made Buckyâs sudden disappearance from your life all the more maddening. More hurtful.
Sometimes, you liked to think that he just used you. That he got what he needed from you and moved on. It somehow softened the blow of his loss. Painting him as a manipulator took the blame off your shoulders and made him the villain. But you could never convince yourself of this narrative for long. Bucky wasnât the type of person to use others. He gave and gave until he had nothing left. Or until he left.
With a few strides, you closed the gap between the two of you. âItâs so good to see you, Buck,â your instinctive reach for a hug left your arms hanging in the air as he took a small step back. It was then you realized just how embarrassing it was to drop your arms to your sides after an unwanted embrace.
âHey-Â hi,â he cleared his throat and cut his eyes to the side, almost like he couldnât bear to look at you. He stared at the passing cars, the flier-covered streetlight. Anything to keep his gaze from lingering on you. He wasnât sure he had the strength.Â
But he couldnât help himself- he had to look at you. And as his eyes finally landed on yours, a familiar warmth sliced through his trepidations. Heâd been aching for so long now; heâd didnât know what a life without pain felt like. Every day, he hurt. He suffered. But the biting agony stilled as he stared at you.Â
His lungs filled to capacity for the first time in months. The knots in his stomach untangled themselves. Heâd forgotten how light he felt around you. You had a way of making things feel so easy, so simple. Everything in his life was complicated, and each day grew more difficult than the last. No matter how hard he tried, he never quite got his head above water. But with you standing there before him, he broke through the surface for the first time in ages.
He drank you in for a long moment, taking inventory of the ways youâd changed, and the ways youâd stayed the same. Your radiant smile still poked dimples into your cheeks. Freckles still splashed across your skin. But he noted the all too familiar braid in which your hair was twisted. The letter âNâ dangling from a dainty gold chain around your neck. Â
Bucky knew losing Nat wasnât easy on you. Knew that youâd been mourning her all on your own. He shouldâve been there for you, shouldâve been your shoulder to cry on. He hated himself every day for making you go it alone.
âItâs um,â Bucky didnât know where to start. âItâs been a whileâŚâ
A quiet, awkward laugh rasped out of your throat at his understatement, âYeah, you could say that.âÂ
A long pause forced its way between you. Things with Bucky never used to be this awkward, this tense. He was nearly a stranger now. And it killed you. Your friendship always flowed without difficulty, without pressure. It became second nature. The two of you moved together almost as though choreographed, anticipating the otherâs actions instinctually.
But those instincts died and were buried, along with your hope of ever patching things up.
âUm, are you- where are you headed?â you asked, breaking the silence.
âI was just gonna- I thought Iâd grab some breakfast.â
âOh! Me too!â Finally, you had something in common. âCan I-â you quickly rephrased, fearing you may scare him off. âDo you wanna go together? Maybe we could catch up?â You knew you were throwing yourself at him, but you couldnât stop. You were so overwhelmed, so desperate to be near him; you didnât care how crazed you seemed.Â
Buckyâs shy smile made an appearance, âYeah, that would be nice.â He kicked himself for not appearing more excited, more overjoyed by the reunion. But he couldnât find it in himself to feel anything other than anxious.Â
The walk to the diner was less awkward than you anticipated. The conversation flowed a little smoother, the words came a little easier. But it was still clunky. And though more silence than you wouldâve liked hung in the air, you breathed easier knowing that he was merely a few inches away.Â
Things between you simply needed to thaw. You needed to shake the rust off and find your way back into the groove you carved out for one another. At least, thatâs what you told yourself.
âI thought you said you were getting breakfast,â you joked, ânot just coffee.â You sat across from Bucky in a beat-up booth, itâs cracked, torn vinyl dating the restaurant. When the waitress asked for your order, Bucky insisted you go first. And when youâd finished rattling off your perfect breakfast, Bucky dismissed her with a ânothing for me.â
He shrugged and took a sip of his coffee, âIâm not really hungry anymore.â
âWow, I didnât know I had that kind of effect on people,â you said, only half-joking. Maybe he really did hate you, after all. The months of dead silence suggested as much.Â
More often than not, you tried lived in denial. You told yourself any lie you could come up with- anything to ease the pain of missing him. Even after his less than enthusiastic reaction to your reunion, you buried your head in the sand. Surely, he was just surprised to see you. He just needed some time to warm up, to come out of his shell.
But he only ordered coffee; clearly, he didnât plan on staying long. He had an escape strategy locked and loaded. You knew he planned to fulfill your request for a catch-up session and run for the hills as soon as he emptied his mug. Upon your realization, everything came crashing down. His scant order slapped you with the cold hard facts: heâd cut off all communication, ignored you for months, and seemed to lose his appetite at the very prospect of sharing a meal with you.Â
Maybe missing him was a waste of your time.
âNo, itâs not like that,â very real concern coated Buckyâs words. âIâm so- Iâm really happy to see you.âÂ
His fingers twitched as the logical side of his brain shut down his attempt to touch you. All he wanted to do was reach out and rest a hand atop yours, maybe stroke your knuckles a few times. It was something he used to do all the time, something that, at one point, reassured the both of you. But things were different these days. He didnât have the right to be so familiar with you, not after he chose to make himself a stranger.Â
He gripped his coffee mug with both hands, stemming any impulses to reach for you. âHow have you been?â
Thereâd been a time when you wouldâve told him everything. You wouldâve spilled your soul and let loose every ugly detail of your life. Being honest with each other used to be easy. Neither one of you had to fear judgment or ridicule; you were safe in the otherâs hands.
But those days were long gone. He clearly didnât want to be your best friend anymore- he barely wanted to know you at all. He was, at most, an acquaintance whose soul used to be tied to yours. And so, you opted to forego the truth. You didnât tell him that you cried yourself to sleep most nights. You didnât tell him that you missed him so badly it caused you physical pain. You didnât tell him that you needed him. Instead, you gave him what he wanted: an easy, canned response.
âIâve been good,â you forced a smile to your face and shrugged. âJust been working, doing the whole SWORD thing.â
He raised his brow, âOh, wow. You work for SWORD now? I had no idea. Good for you.âÂ
He feared his feigned surprise came off too fake, too forced. But you didnât seem to clock it. You really believed that he was out of the loop, but you shouldâve known better. It was ludicrous to think heâd ever be uninformed about your life. Of course, he already knew you worked for SWORD He knew that you moved into a new apartment. He even knew that you were planning on adopting a cat soon. He asked Sam about you almost daily, scrounging for any details he could get.Â
He just needed to know that you were okay, that you were safe. And happy.Â
âYeah, I started a few months ago. Itâs been-â You paused a moment, allowing the waitress to set down your food. The table in front of Bucky looked so empty; with no food anchoring him to the restaurant, he could leave at any moment. âItâs been alright. But how about you? What have you been up to?â
He took a moment to formulate his response. He needed to be careful. Precise. Allowing too much to slip could ruin everything. âIâve just been working with Sam,â he shrugged. âWe had to take care of that whole Flag Smashers thing.â
âI saw that!â you said, your mouth full of pancakes. âYou guys did a great job.â
âThanks, yeah,â Buckyâs cheeks flushed pink. âAnd I had my pardon hearing.â
You nodded, âI watched all the news coverage about it.â
He forced his eyes down to his mug; he never used to get embarrassed around you. âYou did?â
âOf course.â
Bucky wanted you there that day. He wanted to rest his hand in yours and experience the peace only you could provide as he waited for the judge to call his name. And when he finally received his pardon, he wanted to turn around and see you- wide smile, eyes brimming with happy tears. He wanted to wrap his body around yours and thank you for being his rock.Â
But he didnât invite you along.
He, instead, sat alone in the hall, with no one to hold his shaking hand, until a bailiff ushered him into the courtroom. Sam wanted to be there, but his nephew begged Captain America to make an appearance for Bring Your Dad to Work Day. And who was he to say no?
When the judge awarded Bucky his pardon, no one cheered. No one ran to his side and granted him a congratulatory hug. He collected his papers and made his way out of the courthouse. Alone.Â
He got a heap of texts and calls from you that day, though. He watched his phone ring with your name and picture taking up his screen. He poured over your kind texts and listened to your congratulatory voicemails. Even after he shut you out, you made sure he knew that you supported him. That you still cared. But he didnât return your messages.
He did, however, listen to your voicemails on a loop. Hearing your voice again gave him an escape, a life preserver. Youâd never know how much those messages meant, how often they saved him. He promised himself heâd tell you- one day.
âHonestly, you shouldnât have even needed a pardon,â you said with an eyeroll. âI mean, you didnât do anything. None of it was your fault.â
Bucky had nearly forgotten how unabashedly supportive you were. How you were always on his side, no matter what. He wondered why you still wanted to be on his team after months of silence.
âWell, the US government feels differently,â he sighed out a soft laugh. âAnd itâs taken care of now, so itâs all good.â
He appeared hopeful, almost optimistic. He had Sam, he had his pardon- he seemed to be doing well. And though you wanted more than anything to be in his life, you just wanted him to be happy. Maybe your friendship didnât serve him the way it served you. Maybe he felt like you didnât give him what he needed. Maybe his life was better without you in it. The thought stung. It forced your throat closed, nearly sending you into a choking fit. But you swallowed your pancakes along with your pride, and vowed never to beg Bucky to come back to you.Â
âGood. Iâm happy for you.â You stopped yourself from reaching for his hand. âCan I ask something that might be a little invasive?â
Buckyâs heart stopped, âUm, sure.â
âI saw you coming out of that motelâŚâ you shot him a suggestive glance. âWhat was that about?â
Bucky stiffened. He grew tense, anxiety flooding his system. âWhat do you mean?â
âI mean⌠was there maybe a little-â you raised a brow at him, âhook up situation going on?âÂ
He laughed at your overdramatic wink, the way you licked your lips. And he thanked his lucky stars you came up with a cover story for him. âOh, yeahâŚâ he grew bashful about his fictional sexcapades. âItâs just a- itâs casual, you know. Nothing serious.â
The confirmation of your suspicions made your jaw drop. Bucky Barnes, the old-fashioned gentleman, actually had a friend with benefits. Heâd had a secretive, motel rendezvous. Hell, he probably had hickeys and nail marks hiding under his shirt.Â
A pang of jealousy tore through you like the nails of his lover. Why did she get to be near him? How did she rank above you? The unsettling feeling of envy almost possessed you, but you pushed it aside.
âWoah, look at you,â you feigned appluase. âI always knew you were a ladiesâ man, I just never got to see it in real time.â
He rolled his eyes, âyeah, yeah, Iâm a real heartbreaker.â He regretted his word choice immediately, knowing full well he broke your heart.
You sidestepped his comment and forced the conversation forward, his comment stinging your open wound. âSeriously, Buck. Iâm happy for you.â Once again, you stifled the urge to touch him. âYou deserve to have some fun.â
He stared at you for a long moment, a genuine smile on his face. You were so sincere in your support of him, so unashamed of how deeply you cared. Sam was an incredible friend, of course- but you were his soulmate. He was tied to you with an unbreakable thread, unable to free himself even if he wanted to. And he wanted to. But not because he didnât adore you; it was a simple matter of worthiness.Â
But no matter how hard he tried, he still thought of you daily. Almost constantly. He missed you, pined over you, wished he could exist in your world. But he couldnât- not yet.Â
He shook the grin from his face and pulled his gaze down to his mug once again. âIâm um- Iâm sorry I havenât been around. Things have just gottenâŚâ He cleared his throat, âIâve been really busy.â
A scream scratched at your throat, but you forced it away with a bite of eggs and a swig of coffee. Of course, Bucky was busy. But he wasnât the only one. It seemed that SWORD wanted to run you ragged. They were always assigning you extra operations and looking to you to solve problems. But even with the mountains of work, even in your sea of grief for Nat, you still managed to reach out to Bucky. You still called, still texted.Â
But he clearly didnât want to make the time for you.
âI totally understand,â you lied. âShit has been crazy. Donât worry about it.â
You worried about it every day.
Breakfast wrapped up all too soon. Bucky argued when you paid for his coffee, you hushed him with a promise to let him cover yours next time. And in the blink if an eye, you found yourself standing next to him on the sidewalk, praying he wouldnât walk away. Â
âI should really get going,â he said, taking a step away from you. âI have a meeting.â
âCool, yeah,â you forced a smile, âthis was great- Iâm so glad we ran into each other.â
Bucky nodded, âyeah, me too.â
It seemed to you that Bucky couldnât care less if he ever saw you again. He was disengaged, disinterested, inching ever farther away. He tried to be subtle about it, tried to slowly escape the interaction. But you caught his tiny steps in the opposite direction. His body remained closed off, the space between you growing with each long, awkward pause.Â
But even so, you couldnât let go. You couldnât let him walk away without knowing if this was the last time youâd see him.Â
âWe should do this again-â you sounded so needy, so anxious, but couldnât find it in you to care, âbut only if you want.â Never had you felt so pathetic. There you were, practically begging Bucky to signal that he gave a shit about you.Â
But all he could muster was a nod.Â
âAwesome,â you pulled out your phone. âDo you still have the same number?â
Again, he nodded.Â
It killed you. All this time, youâd hoped that he got a new number and simply forgot to tell you. That your texts and calls went unanswered because he didnât receive them. But he did, indeed, receive them. He just chose to ignore them.
With a swell of tears gathering behind your eyes, you sped through your goodbyes. You threw Bucky a hurried âgreat to see you, Iâll call soonâ and quick smile before turning away and heading for a hiding spot, a concealed place to cry. The person you cared about more than anything, the person you adored, the person for whom youâd lay down your life, didnât want you anymore. The bitter taste of rejection coated the inside of your mouth. And as you ducked into a bodega down the street, you feared you might get a second look at your breakfast.
You were gone too soon. Bucky wanted to call your name, to run after you. Even after months apart, he could still sus out when you were upset. He remembered your tells. Your dead giveaways. The way your jaw hardened against oncoming emotion. The tendency of your voice to grow thin and hollow as tears loomed on the horizon.Â
He knew he hurt you.Â
But he found himself stuck, his body defying the orders of his brain. He couldnât speak, couldnât move. He could only stand there, helpless, watching as you disappeared.Â
He knew you couldnât possibly be happy with him after he abandoned you; he was surprised that you even acknowledged him on the street- let alone invited him to breakfast. And after the way he acted at the diner, he was shocked that you asked to see him again.Â
The conversation you had replayed on a loop inside his head, and he kicked himself for being so closed off. So cold. Heâd sullied your reunion so severely- it was almost aggressive. He was dismissive. Curt. And he lied to your face- multiple times.Â
He was so happy to see you- he didnât want you to think otherwise. But he didnât expect to run into you like that. He didnât expect to be near you for another few months, at least. He had a plan, and he was doing his best to follow it with as few setbacks as possible. If he kept his head down and pushed himself, he could get to the point where he could explain. He could tell you the truth and make you part of his life again if you even wanted anything to do with him. Though he wouldnât blame you if you didnât.
But running into you outside the motel wasnât part of the blueprint. And he panicked.
He'd held you at armâs length, never daring to get too close. He kept everything superficial. Surface level. It was the shallowest interaction heâd had with you to date. And it felt wrong. It didnât fit who you were as people, who you were as friends. Your bond was never the skin deep, small talk type. No, you delved into one anotherâs deepest thoughts. Bared your souls. Heâd never kept a secret from you- nor you him. But that was a different time.
Disappointed, Bucky unrooted his boots from the concrete and trudged off in the direction of his morning meeting. And while he did his best to focus, to participate, he could think of only you. The heartbreak in your eyes. The hurt in your voice. A wave of nausea barreled into him as he replayed the interaction again and again. You deserved better. And Bucky wished more than anything he that could be better. For you.Â
But two nights later, your phone rang.
It was late- nearly midnight. You were curled up on the couch under a blanket, neck deep in your Vampire Diaries rewatch when your phone started to buzz. An unfamiliar number popped up on your screen, accompanied only by Siriâs suggestion of who might be calling.
âMaybe: Kings County Jailâ
You stared at it for three rings, wondering how someone from the jail got your number. And just as you were about to deny the call, something in your gut told you to answer it. Maybe it was curiosity, maybe it was divine intervention. Either way, you hit accept and held the phone up to your ear.Â
âUm, hello?â
An automated message responded, âYou are being contacted by a detainee at Kings County Jail. The detainee-â the recording paused, leaving space for someone to state their name. Your favorite gruff voice followed, âBucky-â
â-is trying to contact you. Do you accept the charges?â
A riptide coursed through your brain. Questions upon questions piled up, each one trying to escape your lips first. But you swallowed them for the time being.Â
âYeah-Â yes, I accept.â
The line connected, and Buckyâs soft âheyâŚâ came through from the other end. âThanks for picking up.â
âBuck? Is everything okay?â
He sighed, âYeah, Iâm- Iâve been better. But Iâm fine. I was just wondering if,â he couldnât believe he was doing this. âI was wondering if you could come bail me out?â
He gave no context, no reasoning, for his stint in the county jail. But you didnât care. âIâll be there in twenty minutes.â
Even after he ditched you and left radio silence in his wake, even after he practically ran from your reunion at the diner- youâd do anything for him. And there was no way in hell youâd ever just leave him there; you couldnât. Bucky didnât belong behind bars.
And so, you pulled yourself off the couch, found some shoes, and headed in his direction.Â
The bail money didnât matter to you. Sure, things were easier now that SWORD paid you the big bucks. But even if your account was running on empty, youâd sacrifice your last remaining cents to free Bucky.Â
A guard led him down the hall by the arm and shoved him through the door. This wasnât how he wanted you to see him. None of this fit into the plan heâd so carefully crafted all those months ago. But there you sat in the lobby of the police station, clad in your sweats, waiting for him. The shame nearly tore him apart from the inside out.Â
But as he locked eyes with you across the room, he didnât find the judgement or irritation that he expected. You shouldâve been angry with him- why werenât you angry with him? Heâd called in a favor after abandoning you. He made you come down to the police station, made you pay his bail. You shouldâve left him to rot in a jail cell. But you didnât. Because you cared. Even after everything he did, you still cared about him. He wished you didnât. He wished youâd scream at him in front of everyone- but you were too good for that. Too kind.Â
He threw you a bashful wave, but averted his gaze when a warm smile crossed your face. He couldnât quite stand the way your gracious expression made him feel. Why did you seem so happy to see him? Why werenât you furious- or even a little frustrated?Â
As he waited in line to gather his backpack and personal belongings from the desk, he hoped for something to prolong his time away from you. A clerical error. A massive stack of paperwork. What was he supposed to say to you? How was he supposed to explain this whole mess? He needed time to put his thoughts in order. To organize his lies.Â
But, for the first time in history, a United States government agency did things efficiently and without error. And after only a few minutes, he made his way to your side.Â
âHey,â he granted you only a flash of eye contact before dragging his gaze to the floor. âThanks for- thank you for coming to get me. And for paying my bailâŚâ
You shrugged, âyeah, absolutelyâ.
âIâll pay you back, IÂ swear.â It was then he realized that he didnât want you to be angry with him. Sure, you cursing him out in front of everyone would be easier. Less complicated. But heâd rather die than upset you again.Â
âI know. Iâm not worried about it,â you granted him another kind smile, âI trust you.â
It was a dagger to the heart. How- and why- did you still trust him? Heâd excised you from his life without warning and left you in the cold; he wasnât worthy of your trust.Â
âAre you all good here?â you asked, âShould we get going?â
âSure- yeah.â
The walk to the car was quiet; Bucky couldnât bring himself to walk next to you. Existing in your sphere, being seen by you- it was too much for him. Too shameful. Even if he was only in your peripheral. And so, he opted to position himself a few paces behind you. In the safety of your shadow.Â
He got settled in the passenger seat of your car as you turned the key in the ignition. But you couldnât bring yourself to pull out of your parking spot. Everything in you wanted to ask how he ended up in handcuffs. He wasnât a troublemaker. He wasnât violent. He wasnât the type to make waves. Something bad mustâve happened- something out of his control.
But you knew it wasnât your business. He clearly didnât want you around anymore, didnât want to clue you in on the details of his life. And you never liked to pry.Â
As the seconds passed, however, your resolve crumbled. No matter what happened between the two of you, youâd always care about Bucky. Youâd always worry about him. And your concern finally got the best of you.
Before you could stop yourself, the words came tumbling out of your mouth. âAre you okay?â you stared at him, anxiety brewing in your chest. âYou donât have to tell me what happened- I wonât force you- but Iâm worried about you.â
He nodded, âIâm fine.â It wasnât rude, but his tone didnât invite further probing.Â
With a sigh and an unconvinced âokayâ, you put the car in drive and prepared to take Bucky home.
Your blinker clicked incessantly as you waited for a few cars to grant you a clear path. Bucky had ample time to give you directions, but he remained quiet. He didnât offer up information of any kind, not even a neighborhood. It broke your heart that you didnât know his address.
âUm, where do you live? Should I turn left or right?âÂ
You waited patiently for an answer that Bucky didnât seem to have.
âActually, do you mind if-â he flashed you an apologetic smile, âcould we just drive around for a while?â
Maybe he had some residual adrenaline from being arrested. Maybe being in jail gave him flashbacks to his captivity under Hydra. Either way, you knew he wouldnât have asked to go for a drive unless he really needed it. Part of you was surprised, though, that heâd willingly spend more time with you. That heâd choose to share a confined space with you. He was all too happy with removing you from his life, and practically sprinted through your reunion breakfast. But after so many months of missing him, youâd take whatever extra time you could get.
The drive was quiet, though it did seem to help Bucky relax some. His leg stopped bouncing; his shoulders loosened up. Being around you had that effect on him; it wasnât something he could help. But as he mellowed out, the questions swirling around your brain only multiplied.
At a red light, you tested the waters. âCan I ask you something?â
Bucky nodded.Â
âWhat happened tonight? How did you end up in jail?â
A litany of emotions ran across Buckyâs face. Frustration, worry, shame, and sadness tied his expression in a knot. Part of him wanted to lie. He could say it was a bar fight. He could make up an elaborate story and placate you for the rest of the ride. But you bailed him out. You answered his call and showed up for him when he needed you. You sat, clad in your pajamas, in the waiting area of a dirty police station. For him. He owed you the truth.
âI was arrested for sleeping in the park,â he said, his tone flat.
It wasnât at all what you expected to hear. No answer formed on your lips. You couldnât pull your eyes from his face. The words sunk in, burrowing their way through your flesh and plunging into your heart.Â
âUm, itâs- the light is green,â he said, snapping you out of your trance.
You hit the gas and accelerated on autopilot. And as soon as you made it through the intersection, you pulled over. Buckyâs confession knocked the wind out of you and robbed you of your focus. And if he had more to say, you wanted to give him your undivided attention.
âWhy are we stopping-â
âBuck, why were you sleeping in the park?â
Bucky let loose a deep sigh that seemed to come right from his soul. âBecause I donât have anywhere else to sleep,â he shrugged. âI ran out of money.â He was silent for a moment, wondering just how honest he should be. âIâm supposed to be getting some POW benefits from the government, but you know, bureaucracy is slow.â
âOh, BuckâŚâ After everything he suffered through under Hydra, after the way the US treated him upon his arrival home, the least his country could do was pay him back. Or provide him with a safe place to sleep. But, once again, they failed him.
âYou know that motel you saw me at the other day? I wasnât there for a hook up; Iâve been staying there-â He corrected himself, âWell, Iâve actually been staying at a few different motels. None of them are extended stay, so I canât be there more than a few nights.âÂ
He noticed the way your eyes grew sad, the way your mouth fell open the slightest bit. Heartbreak was written all over your face. âSorry to disappoint you, I know you hoped I was getting some strange with someone from Tinder,â he shot you a wink and flashed a smile your way. But you couldnât bring yourself to laugh.
Bucky, of all people, deserved a comfortable home. Someplace warm. Permanent. Someplace he could call his own. Someplace he could feel safe. But, instead, life gave him the short end of the stick. Again.Â
âAnyway, no matter how cheap those motels are, paying for them every night adds up, you know? So, now Iâm broke,â a rush of heat flooded his cheeks. Admitting to his situation was so embarrassing, so shameful, he thought he might drown in it. He was a grown- overgrown- adult who didnât even have a roof over his head. âI got a warning from the cops last night -and the night before- for sleeping in the park. But tonight was my third strike, soâŚâ He shrugged, âthey arrested me.â
âJesus Christ, cause not having a place to live is criminal?â you scoffed, âThis country is ridiculous.â
âTrust me, itâs not for lack of trying,â Bucky quickly added on. He didnât want you to think he wasnât working on it, that he was slacking, that we was complacent in his situation. âI tried for a long time to get an apartment, but I either didnât have enough money for the deposit or Iâd get turned away when they realized who I was. Though itâs not like I could ever make rentâŚâÂ
When he learned how much an apartment in Brooklyn cost these days, a suffocating sense of hopelessness swallowed him whole. He knew heâd never be able to afford the one place he ever really saw as home.
âAnd I tried a few shelters, but they wouldnât take me, either.â He didnât know a shelter could turn people away; experiencing it first-hand broke him. âSo um, the motels were my only option.â
Sobs blocked your airway and burned the inside of your nose. Tears pooled along your inner lash line; you prayed to god Bucky wouldnât see them. You could sense his shame, his embarrassment; the last thing he needed was you crying over his circumstances.Â
âWhat um,â you fought to keep your voice steady. âWhat about Sam?â
Bucky shrugged. âSamâs been helping me with all the stuff for my benefits and getting my record expunged- heâs been a godsend. And heâs offered to let me stay with him more times than I can count. Heâs offered me money- he even snuck some cash into my jacket pocket the other day,â Bucky gave a soft laugh. âBut I canât take any more from him; heâs already done too much for me.â
âI get thatâŚâ You knew Sam would happily let Bucky crash. But Bucky wasnât the type to impose. âSamâs a good friend.â
âHeâs the best. Iâm gonna pay him-Â and you- back, either when my benefits come through or whenever I can get a job. Whichever comes first.â It was a promise, a verbal contract. He didnât want you thinking he wasnât good for it- even if he wasnât good for it quite yet. He knew he would be someday. And as soon as he had the money, you and Sam would be his first priority.Â
âI keep applying for jobs on the off chance that someone will cut me some slack, but until my record gets expunged, Iâm fucked. Every place Iâve applied to has done a background check, and every time, my name is surrounded by red flags.â He let out a sigh, âIâm still a criminal.â
Your heart buckled. He wasnât a criminal- he never shouldâve been burdened with such a title. He didnât do anything wrong, he didnât choose to be the Winter Soldier. But people didnât care about the truth.
âWhat about SWORD?â
He shook his head, âThey donât want me. Hiring an ex-Hydra assassin doesnât really work for their image. Theyâre trying to steer clear of the whole SHIELD thingâŚâ
The two of you sat in silence for a long moment. Bucky hadnât originally planned on laying everything so bare, he just couldnât help himself. Opening up to you came naturally. But in the quiet, he felt naked. Exposed. He regretted spilling the details of his pathetic existence for you to see.Â
But youâd never judge him. You simply wanted better for him. And wished heâd come to you when times got tough.Â
The shards of your broken heart sliced through you with every breath. Imagining Bucky in rundown, roach infested motels or sleeping on an uncomfortable park bench on a cold night made you want to vomit. Waves of utter devastation crashed into you one after another, barely giving you enough time to breathe. But you couldnât allow yourself to fall apart. Not when Bucky needed you.
When you finally steadied your breathing, you spoke. âBuck, can I ask- and I donât mean this in an accusatory way,â you prefaced, âbut why didnât you come to me?â
âBecause I care what you think about me,â he said, almost automatically. âYour opinion of me is important.â
âWell, my opinion of you hasnât changed now that I know whatâs been going onâŚâ
A smile fought its way to Buckyâs lips. Logically, he knew you didnât think less of him now that you knew the truth. He knew you were too kind to look down on him. But his anxiety didnât think logically. The smile lasted only a second, as his worries about your perception got the better of him.Â
âMy life is a disaster,â he said. âI have almost nothing to my name. I donât have any money. I donât have a place to live. Itâs humiliating.â He ran his palms up and down the length of his thighs, fighting the nervous energy. âI wouldnât have even called you to bail me out if Sam was in town; I didnât want you to know about all this.âÂ
Without a word, you pulled back onto the road.Â
Bucky eyed the surrounding street, âUm, where are we going?âÂ
âMy place,â you kept your eyes on the road. âIâm taking you to my apartment.â
Panic bloomed in Buckyâs chest. âOh, no, itâs- thatâs okay. Iâm fine. You donât have to do that.â A swell of anxiety barreled into him at the thought of you taking him home like a dirty, stray dog. He didnât want to be a charity case or your good deed of the day. And as much as he wouldâve loved to spend time in your home, he wished to do so under different circumstances. Circumstances that didnât involve pity.
âYou can really just drop me off anywhere-â
His words tore through you. âBuck, itâs late,â you cut a glance at him. âAnd itâs cold out. Iâm not just leaving you on the side of the road somewhere. I-â you cleared your throat, âI care about youâÂ
Part of him wanted to open the door and jump from the moving car. Surely, it would be less humiliating. But the look on your face kept him from pulling the rip cord. Concern pulled your brows together. Worry made you bite at your lip. You genuinely cared about him, genuinely wanted to help. And though he could actually feel embarrassment seeping from his pores, he chose to stay. Because you caring about him trumped any and every other feeling.
âOkay, so, this is my place,â you said as you led Bucky though the front door of your apartment. You flicked on a few lights and kicked off your shoes, âmake yourself at home.â
Bucky didnât know how to do that anymore.
He stood stone still just inside the door, too overwhelmed and unsure to move.Â
âUm, so, obviously, this is the kitchen- and thatâs the living room,â you said, pointing to an area with a massive suede couch. âMy bedroom and the guest room are down that hall, laundry is to the left, and guest bathroom is to the right, next to the office.âÂ
Bucky was impressed. The apartment was beautiful. Youâd decorated to match your warm personality; it made him instantly comfortable. And it was nice- fancier than anything he could ever dream of affording. He was so proud of you. He knew youâd worked hard to get here, and seeing the fruits of your labor brought a smile to his face. He only wished he couldâve been a part of your journey.Â
âThis is really nice,â he said, taking a few more steps inside. âIs it all yours? Or do you have a roommate?â
âNope, no roommate. Just me.â
Buckyâs brows lifted as he drank in the space. You paid for this place all on your own, no help from a roommate. He wondered what it felt like to be that stable, that secure. He never knew where he was sleeping from one night to the next, and you practically lived in a penthouse.Â
âUm, we can sit, if you like,â you gestured toward the fancy couch, âitâs more comfortable than it looks, I promise.â
But Bucky didnât go for it. âActually, would you mind if I took a shower? Iâm just- I feel pretty grimy from the motels. And the park. And the jail,â he felt his cheeks flush at the admission. He really was the filthy mutt you brought home from the pound. âI just donât wanna sit on your couch when Iâm gross like this.â
âOh, sure. Thatâs- I totally get it. I should probably change my clothes, too.âÂ
With a wave of your hand, you gestured for Bucky to follow you to the bathroom. As you guided him through your apartment, he admired the art on your walls and the expensive rugs covering your floors.Â
With a clearing of your throat, you gestured to the guest bathroom. âEverything you need should be in there but let me know if I can get you anything else. Can I throw your clothes in the laundry? Iâll wash whateverâs in your bag, too.â
Bucky gave you a strange look, âI appreciate it, but I donât think you want me walking around here in a towel.â
You didnât necessarily shy away from the idea, but this wasnât the time for a suggestive response. âOkay, but- what are you gonna put on after you shower?â
Bucky shrugged, âI donât know. Whatever I have in my backpack.â
You eyed the bag slung over his shoulder and imagined the heap of clothes heâd balled up and shoved inside. âAre they clean?â
Bucky thought for a moment, âDefine âcleanâ.â
âBuck,â you laughed,  âjust let me put your stuff in the wash.â You gave his backpack a gentle swat and motioned for him to relinquish it to you.
âSo, you do want me walking around in a towel,â Bucky quirked a brow at you. âI knew it.â
âOh my god,â you rolled your eyes, âjust come with me.âÂ
Bucky did as he was told and followed you into your bedroom. It cloaked him in an instant warmth, a sense of home he hadnât experienced in eighty years. The whole room seemed to glow with a cozy, welcoming aura. He wondered what it was like to fall asleep here every night, to wake here each morning. Well-loved books populated a large bookcase in the corner, an armchair sat near the window. Bucky could practically see you curled up on its large cushion, your nose buried in Pride and Prejudice. But a photo on the wall near your bed caught his eye.Â
âIs that me?â He took a few steps inside your door and found his suspicion to be correct.Â
It was a slightly out of focus candid shot of you and Bucky laying on the floor of the war room at the compound. Nat snapped it as the team talked through different strategies to bring everyone back from the blip. In the photo, you sported a massive smile, and had your face smushed against Buckyâs arm to stifle your laughter. Buckyâs eyes were squeezed shut, his metal hand covering his mouth. You were both exhausted, and loopy, enjoying a moment of levity amidst a sea of tragedy.
âThatâs my favorite picture,â something about your words came off sad. And Bucky knew it was because of him. The joy, the closeness exhibited in the photo didnât exist anymore. Heâd stripped your friendship of everything warm and left you out in the cold. Alone.Â
You made your way over to the dresser and fished around in the bottom drawer, âletâs find you something to wear.â
âUm, I donâtâŚâ Bucky chuckled, âIâm not gonna fit into any of your clothes.â
You cut glance at him, âI know that. Thatâs why Iâm giving youâŚâ With a grand gesture, you unearthed a pair of sweatpants, âyour clothes.â
Buckyâs mouth fell open. He stared at the pair of charcoal gray sweats he lent to you ages ago, the pair you loved, the pair he told you to keep. He didnât say anything when you plopped them in his hands; he was too stunned to speak.
âAnd hereâs this,â you said as you draped a faded blue âNYCâ t-shirt over his shoulder. Heâd loaned you that shirt so many times back at the compound, you wore it more than he did. Eventually, he started putting it in your closet instead of his on laundry day.
âNow, give me your bag and Iâll throw your stuff in the wash.â
Bucky finally dragged his eyes from the pair of pants and furrowed his brow at you. âWhy do you still have this stuff?â
Something in you grew nervous. Was he mad? Or did he think you were a creep for holding onto his things? Maybe it was too weird of a gesture. Maybe you shouldâve let him hang around in a towel after all.
âCause I like wearing it,â you said with trepidation in your voice. âYour clothes were always more comfortable than mine. And I-â you cut yourself off. Saying âI miss youâ was too much. Instead, you rerouted, âI like to wear oversized stuff.â
Bucky nodded and gave a quiet ârightâ before thanking you and heading for the bathroom. At your request, he left his bag in the hall. You scooped it up and dumped his clothes into the washer before doubling back to the bathroom, where Bucky had dropped his dirty jail-clothes outside the door. You changed out of your dirty clothes from the police station and threw them in the laundry with Buckyâs. It was the closest youâd been in months.
Bucky nearly teared up as the water sliced through the layer of grime coating his skin. He couldnât remember the last time heâd had a shower this hot. The motels always seemed to have faulty water heaters that only allowed for subzero temperatures. And at some of them, the water didnât quite run clear. Sometimes, there was a brown tint. Other times, it was gray. And showers like those left only him feeling dirtier.Â
But he didnât want to think about the rust-eaten pipes of the decrepit motels in which he stayed. Instead, he basked in the nearly scalding water, the tiles that didnât have moldy grout. For the first time in a while, he didnât feel like a husk of himself, but a real person. All his time shuffling between park benches and rat-infested motels had stripped him of his personhood. And something as simple as a shower restored it. Though, deep down, he knew it wasnât the incredible water pressure or the lavender body wash that had him feeling human again. It was you.
With the entirety of Buckyâs wardrobe in the washing machine, you paced lap after lap around the kitchen. Only a few days ago, you feared youâd never see Bucky again. And now, he was in your shower. After your chilly reunion at the diner, you couldnât help but be mad at him, no matter how much youâd missed him. He was cool and aloof. He didnât open up. And he didnât seem at all interested in repairing your friendship.
But listening to him in the car laid almost every piece of the puzzle out before you. And though there were still gaps and empty spots, you nearly had the picture complete. Bucky didnât ice you out because he hated you or didnât want you anymore. He was simply too embarrassed to admit what he was going through.Â
A sharp twinge of guilt needled at you. You shouldnât have been mad at him after what happened at the diner. You shouldnât have jumped to conclusions or assumed the worst. Bucky deserved better. You shouldâve known in your heart that he was only pushing you away to protect himself. It was his nature; it always had been. Youâd just been too hurt to see it.
âYour shower is unbelievable,â Bucky said as he padded into the kitchen, his hair still damp. âAnd those towels? Theyâre amaz-â A stack of Tupperware on the island caught his attention. âWhatâs all this?â
âLeftovers. I cooked dinner earlier tonightâŚâ You shrugged, âI thought you might be hungry.â
He shifted his wide-eyed gaze from the food, forcing his eyes to land anywhere else. âOh, no, thatâs okay. Iâm fine.â
You quirked a brow at him, âYouâre not hungry?â
âNo.â It was quiet but firm.Â
âReally? Cause the Bucky I knew needed to eat like, six thousand calories a day.â Buckyâs insatiable hunger was a running joke between the two of you back then. He always finished your food when you couldnât clear your plate, and snacked on anything he could get his hands on. On one occasion, he even fell asleep in your bed with his hand in bag of honey mustard pretzels. Hearing him refuse food was strange, almost alarming. âYou always called yourself âEarthâs hungriest heroââ.
Bucky gave a small laugh, âyeah, damn super soldier serum will do that to your metabolism.â
You stared at him, âSoâŚâÂ
âSo?â
âSo, do you want something to eat?âÂ
âNo, really,â he shook his head, âIâm fine.âÂ
But you noticed the way his stare always returned to the stack of containers. Even after heâd pulled his focus from the food, his eyes found their way back. You sensed a longing in him, a deep desperation that left you gutted. Any jovial, lighthearted quality your words held fell to the wayside, making way for concern.Â
âBuck, whenâs the last time you ate?â
Bucky did his best to think back to his last meal but couldnât find an answer. Part of him wanted to lie, to appease you with details of a made-up dinner from earlier that night. But he didnât get the chance; his pause was too long for your liking.Â
âOkay, if itâs taking you that long to remember, you need to eat.â It wasnât an offer or a request, but an order. âHelp yourself.â
But once again, he shook his head. âNo, itâs okay. I donât want to impose-â
âItâs not an imposition,â your words came out with an unexpected fierceness; it almost sounded like a scold. The idea, the mere suggestion that Bucky could impose on you was ridiculous. You took a breath and softened your tone, âI live alone, and every recipe is for more than one person. Thereâs plenty.â
Before Bucky could refuse again, you opened the Tupperware and allowed him a look at the fruits of your labor. âThereâs roasted chicken with rosemary and thyme, garlic mashed potatoes, and maple-glazed brussels sprouts.â Buckyâs eyes lit up. You could practically see drool leaking from the corner of his mouth.Â
A sense of satisfaction enveloped you, like youâd finally banished Buckyâs unnecessary fear of imposition. But just in case he wasnât sure, just in case you hadnât won him over, you threw one last piece of information his way. âOh, and thereâs chocolate chip cookies over there.â
Bucky was almost overwhelmed. He took in the beautiful spread and gave the cookies a long glance; it was almost too much. âWoah, you werenât kiddingâŚâ He gave a small laugh, âthis is a lot of food.â
You shrugged, âI donât know how to cook for one.â
With that, you handed Bucky a plate and let him go to town. He filled his dish with chicken, mashed potatoes, and brussels sprouts. But the look on his face signaled more relief than joy, more solace than happiness. You wondered how long heâd been without food, how long heâd worried about where his next meal would come from. As he stood over those plastic containers, that anxiety vanished- for the most part.
A debate raged inside of Buckyâs head. He was famished, literally starving. And youâd given him full access to a massive meal. But he didnât want to overdo it. He knew he shouldnât empty your Tupperware and leave you with nothing; he just he didnât know when heâd eat again. And he could practically feel his body digesting itself.Â
Before he could tighten the reigns, though, you spoke up. âSeriously, Buck, donât be shy. I canât finish all of this- itâll just go bad.â
He nearly broke down. For so long, he knew only wanting, only appetite, only emptiness. And you offered him a respite. âI havenât had a home cooked meal inâŚâ Once again, his pause was too long; it crushed you. âAnyway, I really appreciate this.â He pulled his gaze from the food and gave you a long look filled with admiration. âAnd Iâm impressed- I didnât know you were such a culinary talent. I distinctly remember you burning ramen noodles to a blackened crisp more than once.â
The laugh that erupted from your chest filled the kitchen, âWell, I distinctly remember you eating my disgusting ramen without hesitation.â
Back when things were good between you and Bucky, youâd always volunteer to make dinner. Between strategy sessions and long, complicated meetings, the team simply forgot to eat. But you knew they needed nourishment to make defeating Thanos a realistic option. No one, however, wanted your charred ramen. Except for Bucky. He always accepted your offerings with a kind smile and a mountain of appreciation. He was grateful, no matter how awful it tasted, because it came from you.
âMy therapist actually suggested I get into cooking,â you told Bucky as he popped his plate in the microwave. âI was really depressed and stopped caring about eating or taking care of myself. It felt pointless. But she told me some people find comfort in cooking. Itâs almost meditative, you know? And if you focus on the recipe, you canât think about all the um, the painful stuff.âÂ
Bucky knew he was âthe painful stuffâ.
âThere was a bit of a learning curve, but now,â you shrugged, âI love it.â
âOh, wow, that awesome. So you get some peace and a delicious meal? Sounds like a good deal.â He mulled it over, wishing he had a kitchen into which he could retreat. But the motels only ever had a microwave, and most of the time, it didnât work.
âI had a therapist- well, a court appointed therapist,â he said, âshe was the worst.â
You sighed. Why were things always so hard for him? Why did people treat him so terribly?Â
âWhat was so terrible about her?â
âHonestly, I think she hated me,â defeat coated his words. âShe was mean- I know that sounds childish, but I mean, the things she said were biting. They hurt. And she did it on purpose. I left every session feeling worse.â He thought back on his sessions with Dr. Raynor, on how she broke him down piece by piece until he was only a pile of ash. âShe said I wasnât a victim, and that I needed to take responsibly for the things I did and the choices I made.â
Anger surged inside your chest, âThe choices you made?â
He nodded. âShe was actually so terrible that I thought she worked for Hydra. I thought they were trying to get me back and that she was working undercover with them to manipulate me.â A small laugh broke free from his chest, âBut she wasnât. Sheâs just an asshole.â
âJesus Christ, BuckâŚâ You couldnât imagine anyone being so awful, so hateful, toward Bucky. He was kind and warm. He showed people compassion and understanding. Why the world didnât show him the same baffled you. âI hope you donât see her anymore.â
He removed his plate from the microwave, âOh, I donât.âÂ
You sighed with relief, but it was a short-lived respite.
âI couldnât afford to.â
He dove into his food before you could even usher him to the table. Between huge bites of potatoes and chicken, he praised your cooking. He swore on his life that this was some of the best food heâd ever had. It warmed your heart for a brief moment, but reality put a stop to the fuzzy feeling. Sure, you were a good cook. But you were certain than Buckyâs gushing compliments were the product of his empty stomach. He couldnât even determine how long it had been since his last meal; of course, he was going to inhale his food with gusto and deem it âthe bestâ.
It gnawed at you to see him like this. He laughed as you guided him to the table and settled into the seat across from him, but you didnât match his lighthearted energy. Heâd been struggling, suffering in silence without knowing where heâd get his next meal. For decades, Bucky knew nothing but pain. He was tortured, abused, treated like an animal. Hydra infected him like a parasite and devoured him from the inside out. They saddled him with PTSD and enough demons to fill even the deepest pits of hell. And after all that, life refused to give him a break. It killed you.
âI thought- correct me if Iâm wrong, but- I thought court appointed therapy was paid for...âÂ
âSometimes it is, sometimes it isnât,â Bucky said with a mouth full of brussels sprouts. âIt depends on the situationâ. He threw a shrug your way and speared a piece of chicken with his fork, but a thought stopped him from shoveling it into his mouth. âEven if my appointments were supposed to be covered, I donât think anyone wanted to give me anything for free.â
A heavy silence fell over the room. Only the sound of Buckyâs fork scraping his plate interrupted the blanket of quiet. But the stillness made him squirm. Suddenly, he piped up.
âSo, I did the required amount of sessions with that therapist and promised myself Iâd never go back. It was tough, but I made it work. I scraped by.â His gaze took on a hollow quality, âThatâs when I started staying in the really shitty places. The ones with asbestos and mold. And there was this one place where the sheets were stained with what looked like blood.â He grimaced, âI havenât been back there.â
You forced a laugh, âGood call.â
Bucky shifted his focus back to his plate; heâd sprinted through his meal, leaving only a few bites remaining. The flicker of a frown ghosted across his face. The food was gone too soon, replaced by an empty plate. He was tired of everything in his life being empty- his bank account, his stomach, his heart. But he didnât dare let himself wallow in self-pity with you sitting mere inches away. Instead, he overcorrected with a large smile, hoping you hadnât noticed the look of disappointment he wore just moments earlier. Heâd rather die than appear ungrateful, even if his hunger pangs had already returned.
âYou can help yourself to seconds, thereâs more than enough,â you took a look at the containers still sitting on the counter. Even after heâd piled his plate high, not a dent was made. âYou can have thirds, fourths- I donât care.â
Bucky shook his head as he cleaned his plate, âNo, thatâs alright. Iâm good. Thank you, though.â
It was an egregious lie; maybe the worst youâd ever heard.Â
âBuck, I can practically hear your stomach rumbling from here.â You knew him. Even after all this time apart, you knew him. You knew he was still hungry, especially after having gone so long without eating. His metabolism burned through fuel at a massively accelerated pace; he needed the calories. âPlease, have some more.â
Once again, he shook his head. âIâm okay, really,â he gave you a smile. âPlus, I donât want you to think Iâm a freeloader.â
His words struck you in a strange way. Bucky never used to worry about your perception of him. And you never thought twice about how he saw you. There was a mutual respect and sense of comfort that didnât fall victim to judgement. You accepted each other without hesitation. But Bucky couldnât find his sense of security. He shifted in his seat and averted his eyes every so often, fearful of your inner monologue.
âWhy are you so worried about what I think?â
Confusion lifted Buckyâs brow, âwhat do you mean?â
âYou just said that you donât want me to think youâre a freeloader. And in the car earlier, you said you didnât reach out and ask me for help because you care about what I think.â You shrugged, âI just want to know why my opinion matters so much to you.â
âBecause youâre my friend,â his tone was sure, steadfast. âIâve always cared about your opinion.â
âYeah,â hearing him call you his friend eased some of the tension in your neck. âAnd I care about what you think of me, too, but- I was never worried about it.â A sudden thought popped into your head, âI mean, Iâve been worrying about it lately, cause it kinda seemed like you hated my guts for a while there, butâŚâÂ
Bucky stared down at his empty plate. He didnât want you pulling at this thread, didnât want you unraveling his thought process. He prayed youâd drop the whole thing and move on.Â
You didnât.
âSamâs your friend, too. Donât you care what he thinks?â You feared coming on too strong, but you needed answers. âHe knows about what youâve been going through. You let him help you. You didnât-â you stopped yourself.Â
Bucky gave you an expectant look, âI didnât what?â
âYou didnât cut him off.â
Buckyâs face fell. You never meant to hurt him, to make him feel bad about pushing you away. No matter how badly he hurt you, youâd never throw it in his face- especially after you learned why he did it.
âBuck, Iâm sorry, I didnât mean it like-â
âNo, donât apologize,â a sad smile crossed his face. âYouâre right.â He was quiet for a moment as he gathered his thoughts. He planned on having this conversation with you someday, months from now. He didnât have his script organized, didnât know how to best express what he was feeling. Worry encapsulated him. What if he misspoke? What if he messed things up even worse?
âThings with Sam are different. He and I became friends because of Steve. We promised him weâd look out for each other.â
It sounded all too familiar. âYou and I promised each other the same thingâŚâ It was a pinky promise made on the living room floor of the compound. In the middle of the night, by the light of the fireplace, you swore to be there for one another come hell or high water. Never did you even consider breaking that covenant, that bond. You upheld your end of the bargain without issue. But Bucky fell short.Â
He thought about that promise every night, berating himself for breaking it until he fell asleep.Â
He sighed, âI know we did, but- thatâs not the same thing. You and I became friends when everything fell apart. The entire universe was in chaos, everyoneâs lives imploded.â He dragged his gaze downward, âYou and I were on an even playing field back then.â
âWhat do you mean?â
âBack then, we were equals,â a faint smile flickered on his lips at the thought of those days he spent with you. They were dark, sure, but he remembered them fondly. Those were the days when he never left your side, the days when we woke up and fell asleep next to you. His favorite days. âWe slept on the floor at the compound. We lived off ramen and red bull and worked around the clock to try and figure out how bring everyone back. We struggled. Together. But nowâŚâ He looked around your beautiful kitchen, âeverything is okay again, and everyone has gone back to their lives. Youâre doing well- really well. And Iâm stillstruggling. Iâm in almost the exact same position as I was back then.â
Words formed a traffic jam in your throat. Each new idea of how to comfort Bucky seemed too sappy, too corny. Just as a new phrase tried to exit your lips, you swallowed it. How were you supposed to make him feel better? How were you going to make any of this okay?
Bucky knew you were at a loss. He could see your desperate attempts to come up with a fix-it phrase for his situation, a way to assuage the way he felt. All you ever wanted was to make him feel better. âYou have this great apartment and youâre working for SWORD. You found your way out. Meanwhile, Iâm scrounging together any cash I can find to pay for a few nights in a rat-infested motel. Or Iâm sleeping in the park- and getting arrested for it.â
He was going through a hard time- a really hard time. His life was in shambles and a new hardship greeted him at every turn. But you couldnât make sense of his departure from your life. If anything, he shouldâve grown closer to you, shouldnât he? He shouldâve leaned on you, asked you for help, sought comfort in your arms.Â
âI guess Iâm just- does that automatically mean we canât be friends?â
Buckyâs humiliation piled on top of itself. It grew with each breath, with each passing moment. Admitting just how destitute he was, how utterly lacking- it destroyed him. âNo, but- who wants to be friends with that guy? Who wants to hang out with the guy who canât figure his shit out?â A strange mixture of frustration and melancholy dripped from his words. âI have nothing. And Iâm just not- I canât be your friend yet.â
His words hit you like a train. âWe were already friends; you were my closest friend-â
âWe were rock bottom friends,â his voice was low, hollow. âWe were wartime friends.â It came out almost as a recitation, as thought this was something he told himself to justify his actions.Â
You swore he made up that phrase right there in your kitchen. It seemed more like an excuse than an explanation. âWhat does that even mean?â
âA wartime friend, itâs- itâs the person you cling to when the world implodes. The person youâd never actually be friends with in real life, but you lean on them when life falls apart because theyâre just- theyâre there.â
The day you two met, Bucky found you crying in a supply closet at the compound. You were at the end of your rope, heartbroken over the loss of friends and family. Never had you experienced such an earth-shattering loss. You had no one- nothing. But Bucky was there for you. For a moment, you werenât alone. You had someone. And he quickly became your favorite someone.
âPeople get desperate during wartime, you know?â Bucky continued, âTheyâll befriend anyone if it brings them even a sliver of peace or comfort.â
âSo, you thought-â
âI thought for sure thatâs what you were doing.âÂ
Bucky stood from his chair. Anxiety ate away at him from the inside, leaving him unable to sit any longer. âI mean, you knew who I was. You knew I was a mentally ill, train wreck of a person. I figured weâd buddy up until the clouds parted- since neither of us had any other options- and then when things when back to normal, youâd find your real friends.â
He considered himself a consolation prize, a leftover. He didnât know that, from the very beginning, you considered him a ârealâ friend.
âBut after knowing you for a few days, I wasnât okay with that anymore,â his words came out hurried, almost frantic. âI wanted to be friends with you for real. I wanted you to want me around after we fixed everything. But I knew there was no way youâd want me as a friend outside of the shitstorm.âÂ
The realization played out across his face in real time. You watched happiness turn to disappointment, to despair, to desperation.Â
âSo, I just resigned myself to enjoy our time while it lasted. I knew it was all the friendship I could ever hope to get from you-â A shy smile pulled at his lips, âthough, I was lucky to be close to you for any measure of time.âÂ
The smile faded, âbut then when it was all over, and things went back to normal, you kept reaching out. You kept trying to get in touch with me and I- I couldnât handle it. I couldnât make sense of it-âÂ
You gave a small shake of your head, âI missed you. I needed you. I just wanted to see youâŚâ
âI know, and Iâm sorry. I just didnât know how to react. I panicked.â The nervous energy left Buckyâs buddy all at once. He slid into his chair and let his spine rest heavy against the wood. A sense of dejection befell him like and angry, icy sleet. âI didnât want you to see me struggle in real life. I didnât want you to see how much my actual life resembled the disaster weâd been living in. Cause when you look at my situation in the cold light of day itâsâŚâ he swallowed the urge to hide from his humiliation. âItâs ugly. Thereâs no romanticizing what Iâm dealing with.â
âI know youâre going through a lot right now.â For the first time in almost a year, you reached across the table for his hand. And for the first time in almost a year, he let you. âBut Buck, you are not the only person struggling. I know it feels that way, but there are still so many people trying to get their lives on track after the blip- Iâm still trying to get my head right. No one has a perfect life.â
Bucky gave a gentle scoff, âI know, but yours is a lot closer to perfect than mine.â
Again, you found yourself at a loss. No pep talk, no encouraging words, could make Bucky feel better about his situation. And nothing you could say had the power to fix how he felt about the state of his life. Instead of speaking, you opted to wrap his hand in both of yours the way you used to. You only hoped it would comfort him like the old days.
After a while, Bucky spoke again, âI just wanted to get my life together before I saw you again. You know? Cause my situation right now is embarrassing. I was afraid to admit the truth of my reality.â
You nodded, âAnd thatâs why-â
âThatâs why I was so weird when we ran into each other the other day,â he confirmed. He cringed at the way he acted, the way he treated you. It was all wrong. âI knew you saw me leave the motel. I knew I couldnât pay for a meal at that diner. I was afraid that, as we spent more time together, youâd put the puzzle pieces in place and figure out that Iâm a mess.â
His sense of frantic desperation reclaimed him all at once. He leaned forward and captured your hands in his own as his gaze bore into yours. âI never wanted to cut you out of my life- you have to know that. I need you to know that.âÂ
Tears formed along your lash line, creating a haze around your vision. âI know.â
âI just needed time,â he said. âI needed time to prove that Iâm not a loser, that Iâm good enough- I just wanted to be good enough for you.â
âBuck, you didnât have to prove anything to me. And what do you mean you needed to be good enough? Iâve only ever wanted you to be yourself...â It was the most certain, the surest youâd ever been of anything. Bucky was exactly enough. He was himself, and that was all you could ever ask.
âAnd hey, I bailed you out of jail tonight without having any idea what you did- I didnât even ask. I didnât care. I was going to be there for you, regardless. Because I care about you.â
The storm clouds in his eyes parted. He hadnât even thought about that, about how you paid for his release without context. If ever he doubted how you felt about him, that gesture was enough to set him straight.
He bowed his head a moment, thanking his lucky stars for your gracious nature. âI know you care about me. And Iâm so sorry I abandoned you like that- I never wanted to hurt you. I just didnât know what to doâŚâ
âItâs okay,â you sniffled.Â
Bucky freed your hands for a moment, allowing you to wipe the tears flowing down your cheeks. He recaptured them as soon as he could, even if your knuckles were still damp.Â
âWell, itâs not okay- like, donât do it again,â you joked. âBut I understand now why you felt the way you felt. And you understand that I want you in my life, full stop. Right?â
Bucky nodded, âYeah, I get that now.â
With the deepest sigh of relief you could muster, you banished the feeling of abandonment Bucky with which Bucky saddled you. You shed your fears, your worries. The deep pit that formed in your stomach all those months ago closed, the prickling anxiety in your chest faded away. And for the first time in long time, you breathed easy.
âJust so you know- and I donât wanna hear any complaints or refusals on this-â you gave Bucky a look, prompting him to nod in agreement. âYou have to have at least one more plate of food.â
A rebuttal brewed beneath Buckyâs surface, his fear of imposing rearing its ugly head. Heâd already called in a massive favor, had you pay his bail, used your shower, and eaten your food. The anxiety of overstepping vibrated inside his skull. But he kept his promise and nodded in agreement.Â
âAnd-â
âAnd?â he gave you an exasperated look.Â
You gave a firm nod, âYes, thereâs an âandâ!âÂ
Bucky sighed out a tired laugh, âWhat more could there be?â A sudden darkness eclipsed his expression. His smile fell, his laugh halted. Anxiety had him by the throat. His snaked his hands away from yours and tightened them into tight fists. âI already feel like Iâm taking advantageâŚâ
âYouâre not. I promise.â All at once, you were fed up with sitting across from him. You needed to be closer, as close as possible. Bucky needed to feel your sincerity, to hear your words loud and clear. In a flash, you gave up your seat across the table for the one right next to him. âYou canât impose or take advantage- not here. BecauseâŚâ
Bucky eyed you with a nervous glance, âbecause?â
âBecauseâŚÂ you live here now!â A victorious laugh fluttered out of your throat, âSorry, I donât make the rules.â
Shock overtook Buckyâs expression. He didnât know what to say, what to do. His heart raced, his hand shook. All color drained from his face. âNo, I canât- thatâs too niceâŚâ He stared at you, âAre you serious?â
You nodded, âDead serious. This is your home now, too.â Suddenly, you felt the need to clarify. âBut only if you want. This isnât like, a hostage situation or anything.â
Buckyâs head fell back in a loud laugh that nearly brought tears to your eyes. He hadnât felt this carefree, this at peace, in a very long time. He didnât remember the last time he laughed this way.Â
âWell, that is a relief,â he said with a chuckle. âIâd love to live here with you, Iâd be- Iâm soâŚâ Suddenly, his hands found yours. He squeezed your fingers until your pulse throbbed against your skin. His anxiety practically seeped into your bones. âBut I swear, Iâm not gonna stop looking for a job or trying to get my benefits. I promise. Iâm not gonna sit around like a deadbeat and mooch off you-â
âBuck, donât worry about that right now, okay?âÂ
He shook his head, âAnd I wonât stay here too long, Iâll-â
âHey,â With great effort, you pulled your hands from his and places your palms against his cheeks. âThereâs no move out date. Thereâs no ticking clock. Youâre allowed to live here as long as you want- I want you here.â You shot him a smile, âPlus, Iâve missed you- a lot. So this arrangement is good for me, too.â
A swirling cloud of worry hovered above Buckyâs head. He was overwhelmed, you could tell. He tensed his jaw, his shoulders. His every muscle went rigid. âBut are you sure? This is generous- itâs too generous.â
âIâm sure. Here-â You stood from your chair and gestured for him to do the same, âI thought you might need this.â
With that, you enveloped him in a tight hug. Back at the compound, a hug from you could solve any and every problem for Bucky. And his embrace did the same for you. There was something so warm, so welcoming about the arms of the other. It was salvation, it was solace. It was home. Without a place to live, Bucky could survive. But without you, without his home, heâd been lost. As he wrapped his arms around you, though, his entire world changed. And the severed soul tie you feared would never heal grew back once again, stronger than ever.

Tears prick at your eyes as you look at the pregnancy test in your hands, the word 'pregnant' etched across the little screen. Your chest heaves up and down, and your heart thumps so fast you feel like it could shoot right out of your body. It was nearly two in the morning, your boyfriend was still awake playing a game on his PC, so you knew you had to keep your panic at a minimum.
The last few weeks, the whole house had been fighting off the flu - first Matt, then Nick, finally hitting you and Chris at the same time. Luckily, it cleared up quickly for the boys but not so much for you. Your sore throat and stuffy nose were gone but you could shake the constant state of nausea you were in ever since the seasonal stomach flu took over. Earlier in the day you were telling Nick about how you still felt sick to your stomach, but your other symptoms were gone, and he wittily came back with, âimagine if youâre pregnant.â Nickâs half sarcastic joke made your mind wonder. It wasnât like you to not keep track of your period, but with the last couple months being jam packed that it slipped your mind. Pulling up your Flo app and noticing you were five days late; you made sure to add a pregnancy test to the weekly grocery order that the boys put you in charge of earlier in the day.
Somewhat in denial, you pushed off the idea of taking the pregnancy test all day, not telling a soul because you were sure itâd come out negative. Thatâs until the possibility of the test being positive ate away at your brain. 1:48AM and here you were - on the bathroom floor with your knees pulled to your chest, wide eyes, and trembling hands. Squeezing your eyes so tight that you feel a slight burning sensation when you open them. You hold your breath, hoping and praying the test you pinched between your fingers somehow magically changed from positive to negative, but you were wrong. It was positive.
Hot tears stream down your face, a small sob escapes your lips, and you quickly slap a hand over your mouth. You were in the hallway bathroom which was probably the worst place to have a private moment, it was the bathroom all the boys shared. Mentally scolding yourself for not using the half bathroom in the front of the house, you pull yourself to your feet and turn on the sink to splash water in your face. The raw reality smacking you, knowing only you and your baby knew of its existence made your head spin to the point you were dizzy. Despite rarely using protection, pregnancy wasnât something you and Chris had talked about. He never talked about the future. If you were being completely honest, the dynamic your relationship with Chris had been more of a âgo with the flowâ type of vibe. The idea of walking in Chrisâs bedroom and telling him that you were pregnant with his child made your gut churn. You grip the countertop tight, taking a few more deep breaths in an attempt to fight off the nausea and lightheadedness taking over your body. When the feeling weighs down on you, becoming too much for you to handle, you drop to your knees, flipping the toilet lid up, and emptying your guts once again. You had been puking off sporadically all day long, and you lost count of how many times you had thrown up hours ago.
Continuing to heave violently, you drown out the sounds of Chris calling your name through the bathroom door, âbabe? You okay?â And when you donât answer him, only responding with hurling sounds, he decides to enter the bathroom anyways. Chrisâs flu, along with both of his brothers, had been long gone, so it worried him that you werenât recovering like normal. You look up at him, not fully processing the moment, the positive pregnancy test was sitting on the counter in plain view for him to see. He keeps his eyes locked on you, shutting the door behind him, âwe got to take you to the emergency room in the morning, baby.â He shoots you a sympathetic look before hooking his arms around yours and helping you to your feet.
You suck in a breath as he engulfs you in a gentle hug. âChris,â your voice barely above a whisper, still breathing heavily while your heart thumps violently in your chest. Chris rubs his hand up and down your back, soothing you more than he knew. He plants a kiss on the top of your head, âyou need me to get you anything?â
Letting your eyes fall to the test, you let out another soft sob. It makes Chris pull away, confusion etched across his face, âwhat's wrong?â He asks you, placing each of his hands on your shoulders, concern laced through his voice. You stare into his blue eyes, letting them seize your momentary sadness. You let your eyes fall to the counter, not being able to tear them away from the pregnancy test. Once Chris notices, you can feel his body tense up and his eyes widen like a deer in headlights, âwhat the fuck is that?â
The harsh reality of his words hit you like a freight train, making you wish he didn't know. You step away, crossing your arms over your chest, and not daring to say a word. âFuck man,â you watch as he tugs a hand through his hair, picking the test up and squinting in disbelief. âNo fucking way!â he spits out in shock, his voice louder than before. Chris tosses the pregnancy test in the sink, placing both hands on the countertop as he leans over. He looked like he just got the worst news of his life.
To you, his actions were confirmation he wanted nothing to do with you or this baby. You panic, pushing past him, slinging open the door, and footing it back to his bedroom. Chrisâs feet are quickly in tow behind you once he hears the soft sobs and sniffles you let out while trying to escape his pent-up rage. Finally in his bedroom, you attempt to swing the door shut behind you, but Chris intervenes, pushing it open with his hand. âY/n,â he sounds quietly, the angry Chris was no longer present, but you didnât care. His initial reaction had you shook to your core. Itâs not like you expected him to be jumping for joy, but you wanted him to be supportive and not flip out like he did.
Now in Chrisâs closet, you shove clothes into one of your spare duffle bags, not letting your eyes meet him. He has his body pressed against the door frame, blocking your only exit, âyouâre not leaving.â You wipe your tear-stained cheeks and look up at him, âyou donât want me here.â
Chrisâs face contorts with a mixture of frustration and empathy, he takes a deep breath before sitting on the floor with you, âI want you here, baby, I do. I'm just- I don't know.â Your face was swollen, and your vision was blurred from crying, but you could make out the pained expression etched across his face. A few tears slip from his eyes, and he wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you closer and planting another kiss on your forehead as he rubs your back in a soothing manner. Anywhere with Chris was your safe place, knowing your boyfriend brought you so much comfort, you didnât care about breaking down in his arms. You let the sobs erupt from your chest as he hugs you tight, âshhh, we're gonna be okay.â
âI-Iâm so sorry Chris,â you choke out through your tears. Chris pressed his cheek to the top of your head, running his fingers through the ends of your hair, ânone of this is your fault.â His soft tone relaxes you, helping you push your worries to the back of your head. Chris guides you through deep breaths, wiping the leftover tears from your cheeks once youâre calm enough. Letting his hands drop to your lap, âwhatever you want to do, Iâm here,â he reassures you. You suck in another scattered breath, nodding a few times before pulling the words from your throat, âI canât get an abortion, Chris.â
âThen you donât have to, Y/n,â he eases while rubbing a hand up your thigh, âit doesnât matter what option you choose, Iâm not going anywhere.â Throughout your relationship with Chris, you had never seen him with this much emotion. A few tears slip down his cheeks and his lip bottom quivers before he pulls you into another hug, this time tighter than before. Tangling his hand in your hair, âI love you.â You strangle out a laugh, âI love you," knowing how vulnerable the two of you looked on the floor of his closet, bawling your eyes out at 2AM.
In a way, the revelation broke through a comfort barrier the two of you always held onto so tightly. Chris being scared to commit and you having a hard time with expressing what you actually wanted from him. The thought of starting a family together freaked you and Chris out to no end, but both of you were ready for the blessing placed upon you.
He pulls back abruptly before pressing a kiss to your lips, âweâre gonna be great fucking parents.â

quinn and 178 since that's how he looks all the time
Thank you for requesting <3
SCENARIO #178 We both don't want to be here
đ diallingâŚ
Sometimes being Captain was great and gave Quinn a sense of fulfilment and responsibility. He had a team of guys who believed in him and relied on him, their leader for success and looking after them. Other times, he wished he could be a rookie all over again, so heâd be void of so much weight on his shoulders. Like now, when heâd arrived at the press event two hours ago and had enough of his suit, answering questions, talking about the same things but worded differently and being asked those outright stupid questions that stumped him speechless.Â
He swirled the liquid in his drink, head resting in his hand as he enjoyed having a few moments of peace before he jumped back into the jungle. His stomach sank slightly when he felt a presence slip onto the stool next to him.Â
âWell donât you look handsome tonight?â she purred, watching him sit up straight. He failed to bite back his smile, that uncontrollable giddiness running through him like he was a teenager again.
Y/n hadnât joined the Canucks team long after Quinn, while he finished his time in Michigan earlier to join the professional league, sheâd completed school entirely and then landed a job in the Canucks social department. They werenât complete strangers, she and Quinn had been friends during university, friends who definitely couldâve been more if theyâd had enough time.
âYou never fail to impress either, even at your first event. You looked gorgeous. Still do.â He grinned, taking the final sip of his drink before turning towards her. He remembered it crystal clear. Her hair was styled perfectly with cute little clips that shimmered under the lights, an outfit that hugged her curves and her skin glowed, not an ounce of nerves in sight but amongst the crowd, she still looked for him. Seeing her then brought back a plethora of UMICH memories at once, from orientation, their first interaction at Yost when she held the door for him, to the first party they attended all the way through to his last day, where they bawled their eyes out outside gates and kissed with tear-stained cheeks and bittersweet smiles.Â
âOh, stop it, you flatter me,â she leant closer, Quinnâs ears tinting furiously pink, and she tucked a long, loose strand of his hair back, âI remember that event too. You still cut your hair short, had your baby face and fumbled over your words when I said hi. But I still found you cute as the day I met you.â
His chest rumbled as he chuckled with embarrassment and he glanced around the venue, not a journalist or manager in sight, all occupied by his teammates, âThis is the least exciting part of going pro, if Iâve answered the same question once, Iâve answered it hundreds of times. Bed sounds really nice right now. Anywhere sounds better than here right now.â
âI agree with you there, when I saw you sitting like you were gonna kill somebody, you have no idea how relieved I was.â Y/n slumped into the bar, her gaze meeting Quinnâs. How she missed that look, his face, his voice. Looking around the venue, she turned back to him, a smirk across her lips, âWanna ditch this joint?â
âI do not look like that,â Quinn protested, scoffing playfully. He wasnât thinking like a Captain anymore, being with her again, alone at a bar turned the clock back to being in the kitchen of some frat party, Deja vu of discussing where they should sneak off to since theyâd become tired of the noise, the people. Quinn slid off his stool, standing above y/n and taking her hands into his, relishing in the way they still fit perfectly, the way her entrance just straight-up shifted his mood and now he was excited, âbut we could make out in the bathrooms, thatâs sounds like fun.âÂ
âOoor,â she hopped off her stool, pulling his arms around her to set his hands on her hips before sliding her palms up his chest, neck craning to peer up at him with a wild glaze in her eyes, his favourite kind of frisky, half-lidded look that lit a fire inside him, triggered his raging adrenaline, âyou could take me on that arcade date you owe me from, what? Four? Five years ago? And then we could head back to mine and make out?âÂ
Quinn Hughes didnât need to say anything for her to lead him out the back door, the pair giggling like rebellious teenagers with hands grasped in each otherâs and their inner university selves finally having the opportunity to live wildly and freely as they ran through the car park to her car. This time theyâd be leaving together, even a Captain needed a break once in a while.

Chan never knew if he was going to date again after his last relationship. Especially with a kid. But he knew he had to try when he met Y/n. She had just moved into his building and heâd run into her when grabbing a package. And his daughter, ever the extrovert, decided she needed a new friend.
Which turned into his daughter asking Y/n to help her braid her hair for a sleepover with her cousins and uncleâ something her Uncle Felix and her had planned when his daughter blabbed âDaddy thinks our new neighbor is prettyâ to the younger Aussie.Â
So now Y/n was sitting on the couch with Chan watching over her shoulder, trying to learn how the hell to do a Dutch braid. âDo you have a boyfriend?âÂ
âNali Bang,â Chan replied to his daughterâs question while Y/n laughed with the little girl
âNo. I donât have a boyfriend,â Y/n smiled, finishing the braid and tying it
âYou and Daddy should go on a date,â Nali said and both adults looked at each other, blushing a little as the doorbell rang. âUncle Felix!â
Nali ran to the door and her dad followed while Y/n cleaned up the hair supplies. She heard a little conversation as she packed her things before she heard Nali telling bye to her. Y/n responded as the door closed.Â
âThank you for helping with her hair. And Iâm sorry about that,â Chan said sheepishlyÂ
âYouâre welcome and donât worry about it. Sheâs five, kids say stuff,â Y/n laughedÂ
     âYeah,â Chan sighed
âBut Iâm free the rest of the night.â
âAre you asking me on a date?â Chan smiledÂ
âNo. Just stating I have free time.â
The two looked at each other and then laughed. âWell, I'm free too. Wanna go out with me?â Chan said
Thatâs how it went for almost four months. Nali would spend time with her cousins when they were free or with her mom and Y/n and Chan would go on a date. They hadnât told the little girl yet since nothing was serious yet.
âDoes Naliâs mom know you're seeing me?â Y/n asked as they were walking back to the building from their dinner and movie
âShe does. Nali I guess talked her ear off about you after we first met so she asked about you. At the time we were just neighbors but after our second date, I told her that we were seeing each other. Why?â
âJust thinking. I donât want her to be blindsided and think I'm trying to replace herâŚâ
âIâve made her aware but I can always ask if you guys want to meet and talk,â Chan offered as they turned into their building and made their way to Chanâs unitÂ
âYou think weâre that serious? For me to meet her mom and be another mom for Nali?â
âYeah. Naliâs mom and I agreed a long time ago we work better as friends so nothing was left of the relationship. Sheâs seen other people and Iâve met them before Nali has. Just didnât work that way for us but sheâs been supportive of us so far.â
âIf I didnât know any better, Iâd say you really like me.â Y/n giggledÂ
âI do, a lot,â Chan admittedÂ
The two laughed as they got to Chanâs floor. He took out his keys and opened the door. He let her in first and the two kicked off their shoes and hung up their things.Â
Y/n walked to his living room with him following before veering to the kitchen. Chan came back with a couple of wine glasses and a bottle as Y/n turned his TV on, a little tradition now for them.
Chan set the items on the table and wrapped his arms around her before she could sit. Y/n smiled and rested her arms around his shoulders
âStay over tonight?â Chan offered, âOr the weekend.â
     âLonely without someone else here.â
     âYeah. Especially you.â
"Are you implying that you want to kiss me?"Â
âI hope Iâm implying a lot more than just kissing you.â
Y/n smiled and pulled him closer. Chan met her halfway and pressed his lips to hers. Y/n melted into his lips as he held her as close as he could. Their lips moved in sync before Chan maneuvered them onto the couch. Pressing her down to the seats and hands moving down to her hips. Pressing them together as his tongue poked at the seal of their lips.Â
Y/n tangled her fingers in his hair as his tongue found its way into her mouth and tangled with hers. Y/n moaned and wrapped her legs around his hips. Chan smiled into their kiss, moving his hands to the back of her thighs. He pulled away from her lips after a few more moments.
âI like you like this,â Chan smiled
     âLike what?â Y/n asked
     âUnder me.â
     âStop flirting and fuck me.â
Chan laughed and sat up, tossing off his shirt as she did the same. The two stripping themselves before both of them were on each other again. Chan pushed two fingers into her as their lips reconnected. Catching the moan that left her throat and swallowing the sound as he stretched her out with his fingers.
âChan,â Y/n moaned as he moved down to kiss her neck.
Chan hummed in response, lips leaving kisses along her neck. Listening to her beg and plead with him to fuck her. Chan smiled at her eagerness and continued working her open just a bit longer before her begging finally got to him and he couldnât hold back anymore. âFuck,â Chan groaned as he pulled his finger out of her. He pulled away from her neck and looked down between their legs; guiding himself into her. Y/n moaned as he slid into her, holding onto him as he split her open.
âFuck,â Y/n moaned as he slowly started thrusting in and out of her, rubbing her clit with his thumb
âFeel good baby?â Chan asked, âDoing so good for me.â
     âDeeper, please Channie,â Y/n moaned
     âSoon baby, promise.â Chan said
Y/n moaned. Slowly Chan worked himself deeper into her. Her legs wrapping around his waist tighter as his pace increased. Chan sat up a bit and supported himself by holding onto the armrest behind her. Y/n tried biting back her moans as their hips met, trying not to be to loud and Chan didnât get a noise complaint later. Even though Chan didnât care and was high on hearing her moans.Â
Her walls clenching around him made him feel like he was on cloud nine. Rubbing her clit as his hips rolled into hers. âClose Channie.â
âYeah? Gonna make a mess for me?â
Y/n could only nodded, her orgasm was closer than she thought. A few more thrusts later and her back was arching off the sofa as her jaw dropped. Chan fucked her through it. Making sure she was finished before he pulled out and jerked himself to the finish line. His cum landing on her stomach.
Silence took over the two, just their breathing and the TV playing in the back. Chan kissed her forehead before getting up and grabbing a towel from his bathroom, cleaning her up before sitting her up and pulling her onto his lap. Y/n smiled as she rested his head against his chest. âBe my girlfriend?â Chan asked as he held her clothes
      âIâd love too.â Y/n replied

idea for a tyler owens one shot. he broke off the relationship years ago and then you see each other again. maybe you go out for drinks and one thing leads to another. kinda inspired by the song bad idea right by olivia rodrigo.
A/N: Thank you so much for sending this request in. I'm sorry it took me like a week to get around to writing and posting. I hope you like it. I honestly had so much fun writing this one. I'm not sure how closely inspired it is by the song, but I tried my best to give it that same kind of vibe! đđ
You knew that going home was probably a bad idea, but itâd been years since youâd gone back and after a particularly hard couple of months, home was the only place you wanted to be â even with the threat of seeing Tyler around. Thatâs why, when youâd gone out with friends two nights ago to celebrate your return to town, you hadnât been surprised to run into him.
The two of you had exchanged pleasantries, saying a quick hello before youâd headed back to your friends. You werenât avoiding him, but you werenât particularly interested in a conversation with him either. After all, he had been the one to break things off between the two of you a few years ago.Â
Itâd been a fairly amicable break-up, but that didnât mean you wanted to be best friends. Especially since you hadnât seen him in years.Â
Youâd assumed that the one interaction at the bar would be the only one. That you likely wouldnât see him again before you headed back home or before he headed off chasing storms again. Until you woke up to a text the next morning.Â
It was nice seeing you again last night. Would you wanna catch up over a drink?
Every fibre of your being told you to say no, but somehow youâd texted Yes back.Â
You didnât put too much effort into your appearance or dress up to meet him at the bar heâd suggested â one you used to go to a fair bit when youâd been together. You hadnât been there since. Tyler had seen the best and worst sides of you, so you knew he wasnât going to care if you showed up in your best outfit or your pyjamas.Â
It was the smile he gave you when you walked towards the bar and saw him waiting outside for you that made you question whether thiswas a bad idea. You pushed down the feeling in your stomach â the same one you used to get around him before.Â
âSo, howâs the city treating you?â Tyler finally asked when you were both sat down inside, a drink in front of each of you. âNot being tempted into moving back home?â
You laughed and shook your head. âNo, itâd have to take a miracle to bring me back home, I think. The city is nice. I wouldnât call it home, but itâs as good as these days.â You decided to refrain from telling him about the stressful few months at your job, as well as some drama with your landlord. He didnât need to know about those things.
Tyler, though, had always been able to see through you.
âItâs nice? Itâs as good as home? Iâm not convinced.â
You stared at him for a moment. He could still do that, even after not seeing or speaking to you for years? It felt like the time had never passed between you, and you werenât sure if that was a good thing or not. You leant towards not, and you knew your friends would agree.Â
And⌠was it possible for Tyler Owens to have gotten more attractive?
âHowâs the team? Have you blown up on Youtube yet?â You decided to attempt to change the topic before you got off track or before you said something youâd probably end up regretting. Tyler had asked you out here tonight to catch up, not to rekindle.Â
Tyler let out a long sigh, obviously irritated with you changing the subject, and then switched, his annoyed expression breaking into a grin. âYou mean you havenât been keeping up with our Youtube channel? Câmon, darlinâ, weâve got a million subscribers and youâre telling me youâre not one of them?â
âIâm really not,â you couldnât help but let out a laugh. âI donât make it a habit to keep up with what my ex-boyfriends do, funnily enough. But Iâm glad to hear the channel has worked out for you guys. I guess thereâs a real market for storm chasing these days.â
âI mean, I tried to keep up with what you were doing, but Boone eventually convinced me to stop once he caught me checking your Instagram right before a chase,â Tyler laughed softly, then paused, as if he was surprised at himself for admitting that right to your face. âAnyway, Youtube is going well and the team are great. Storm season starts soon, weâre all hoping itâs gonna be a good one.â
You paused, your drink half way to your mouth. âYou check my Instagram?â
âKey word there was checking, darlinâ,â Tyler said. âBut yeah, at the start, of course I did. I broke up with you, you left not long after. I had it in my head that I was the reason you moved away, even though you told me I wasnât, but I still wanted to know that you were okay, that the city was all right and that you were safe.âÂ
The desire to come clean and tell Tyler everything about your life in the city had never been stronger. You wanted to tell him about your irritating landlord, about the way your refrigerator in your apartment kept breaking down and the air conditioning never worked, about how everyone at work kept looking down on you despite your experience, about the fact that youâd been on so many dates in the last few years since you moved, but none of them came close to Tyler.Â
But you couldnât.
Instead, you took a very long drink from your glass and then sat it back on the table. All the while, Tyler looked at you, reading you with those eyes that he could see through you with.Â
âThings arenât great in the city, are they?â He asked softly.
You didnât have to tell Tyler anything because he already knew.Â
Hearing his words, the soft way in which he spoke them, and seeing the way he looked at you, suddenly became overwhelming. This man, the one youâd been in love with years ago, the one you used to tell everything to, the one who used to be your home, was sitting right in front of you again and making you feel like you mattered again, after months of being made to feel invisible in the city.
âWill you excuse me for a second?â You didnât give Tyler a chance to respond before you were up, making a beeline for the front door, desperate to get some air. If you stayed in that bar any longer, you were sure youâd end up making a bad decision. If Tyler kept looking at you like that and making you feel like the version of yourself you were years ago, you worried you were going to become that person again.Â
You let out a breath of relief as you stepped outside the bar, the cool evening air hitting you. It was still spring, the air not quite cold but nice enough to be refreshing on your skin as you walked to an emptier spot just down the street, away from the crowd which had spilled out of the bar the later it got in the night.Â
It didnât come as a surprise to you that Tyler followed you. He always wanted to make sure you were okay when you had been together, and that clearly hadnât changed, especially with the way heâd just been talking to you.Â
He sidled up beside you, making sure to give you enough space, knowing that you needed it. âSweetheart,â he started. âI know Iâm probably the last person you wanna talk to right now, but you know you can talk to me, donât you?â
You met his eyes and nodded.Â
âI know Iâm your ex, but I still care about you. Probably more than I should.â
Youâd never wanted to kiss a man more in your whole life.
âWhy more than you should?â You asked, taking a step towards him and noticing the way the look in his eyes changed as he looked at you.Â
âBecause I shouldâve moved on by now.â
âBut you havenât?â
Tyler swallowed. âItâs only ever been you.â
In that moment, nothing could stop you from closing the distance between the two of you, cupping Tylerâs cheeks in your hands and pressing your lips to his. Tyler was quick to kiss you back and you could tell that for the both of you, it was just like coming up for air after years of drowning without each other.
He wrapped his arms around you, holding you close to his body as his lips moved against yours, tongue sweeping across your bottom lip. The fact that you were out on a public street, not far from a crowded bar, didnât cross either of your minds. All that you could think about was each other and the feeling of each others lips.
When, eventually, you needed to stop for a breather, Tyler rested his forehead against the top of your head, his breathing heavy. âI take it weâre not just talking tonight, darlinâ?â
âNot tonight,â you admitted. âWe probably shouldnât have done this, yâknow?â
âI know,â Tyler agreed. âBut if you think Iâm ever letting you go again, youâre wrong.â
You let out a small laugh. âI said itâd take a miracle to bring me back home, Ty.â
His face broke out into a grin. âDidnât I tell you miracle is my middle name?â

đđđđ đđđ đđđ đđđ, emily prentiss
emily prentiss x fem!reader
emily confesses to you on a night out and what you believe to be the reason behind it makes you insecure.
warnings: insecurities, jealously, derek being flirty asf (platonically <3)
ÂˇË ŕźâ¡ę°âł: ĚĚâ
You take one last glance at yourself on the reflection of the car window. A black mini skirt that feels like it barely covers your thighs, tight burgundy cap sleeved top with a low cut and a bit more of makeup than usual. It's a bit more extra than what you're used to. After all, you work at the bau so the usual is either a suit or jeans and a sweater.
You can't help but feel a bit reluctant now that you're standing right outside the bar. You feel pretty, it's definitely nice to dress up once in a while. But in the back of your mind, you know you also want Emily to think you look pretty. The choice of color of your top might have been because you know it's one of her favorites.
You've had a little crush on her ever since she joined the team. Which was a good while ago so you don't think you can really consider it just a little crush anymore. You catch yourself looking at her way more than you'd like to admit. It's really hard not to look when she always looks so good.
But it's just a night out after all, everyone is going to be dressed up. You don't expect anything to happen, just to have enough drinks to make you tipsy but not too drunk because unfortunately work calls for you in the morning.
With a breathy sigh, you push the door open. Your gaze catches them immediately, sitting in a table in the middle of the bar with drinks in hand. Emily sees you first, waving you over to them.
"Hi! Oh- you look amazing, angel!" Penelope is the first one to throw a compliment that comes with a bright smile.
"Yeah, i really love your shirt. Nice color." JJ adds teasingly. She's known about your feelings for Emily for as long as they exist. And she obviously doesn't miss one single opportunity to tease you about it.
"Thank you, guys." You take the empty seat between Pen and Emily, your cheeks turning pink once you feel the raven haired eyeing you.
"You should wear that color more often, JJ is right." Emily states, only loud enough for you to hear while the other two girls start chattering about something you can't quite focus on. Not when she's leaning slightly towards you so you can hear properly over the music, the only thing you can actually focus on is her lips that are covered in pink lipstick.
"Oh- Thank you, Em-" Before you can say anything else, or better, stutter out something else, you're interrupted by Derek.
"Well hello, hot stuff." He hands you on of the two drinks on his hands, playfully checking you out. "Looking good today, uh?" He chuckles, pulling a nearby chair and squeezing between you and Emily. You almost scowl at him for interrupting whatever was happening before.
"Yeah, don't get too excited." You play along, not the slightest bit surprised by his flirty antics. You fail to notice the way Emily's shoulders slump at the interaction.
"Can't help it, pretty girls are like magnets to me." You roll your eyes but chuckle once again, he does have quite a way to cheer people up.
Conversation and laughter fill the table soon after, all of you enjoying the rare night out. After all, it's not all the time you get to all be together to talk about something that isn't work.
You notice Emily seems awfully quiet today, barely exchanging words with anyone after your conversation was interrupted by Derek, keeping herself busy with the drink in her hands. You try to gather the courage to small talk with her, but everytime you glance at her, she's in fact already looking at you. And you can't help but feel too embarrassed to actually say anything. Besides, with Morgan sitting between you two you can't really talk to her without getting teased in a not so merciful way. He's also very aware of your pining over eachother. You're pretty sure everyone's aware of it by now. Only making it worse for your embarrassment.
"So, does the pretty girl dance?" Derek asks once he notices you're done with your drink
"Don't you have like loads of other girls in this bar for that?" You retort. You don't exactly feel nice for wanting to dismiss him somewhere so you can talk to Emily, but you really are starting to get worried.
"Sure, but i have the prettiest one of them right here." He insists, not resisting to laugh at his own horrible attempt to fake flirt. You sense he's got something up his sleeve but decide not to question it.
You look at her once more, frowning at the way she looks at the glass in front her, not acknowledging your gaze this time.
"Sure." You sigh, giving in rather quickly. You just didn't want to have the face the awkward silence that would settle between you and Emily if he left. Worst part is you don't have a clue to why she would be upset.
Derek drags you away from the table as soon as the answer leaves your lips. He twirls you once you reach where there's other people dancing, a surprised gasp leaving you before you wrap your arms around his shoulders.
Meanwhile Emily sits at the table with an almost sad frown on her face. This was supposed to be the day she was going to confess her feelings to you, but Derek was rather quick to ruin it. She doesn't remember how long she's been waiting to do it. And now she's pretty sure she's closer to losing her chance with you. You're perfect, it's just a matter of time until someone else realizes it and steals away her chance.
She watched the way he holds your waist and can't help but feel jealous, wishing it was her in his place. Emily knows you're merely friends but she envies the way he can flirt with you so easily without turning into an absolute mess. The most she got herself to do was compliment the color of your shirt. It's not usual to see you dressed up and she wish she could have the courage to tell you how pretty she thinks you look. Not just today, but every other day.
"You're drooling." JJ chuckles but only receives a cold glare in return. Emily can't actually focus on how pretty you look when there's someone else touching your waist and dancing with you. She is looking, nevertheless.
"You know he's doing it on purpose, right?" JJ asks with raised eyebrows.
"What?" Emily finally looks at the blonde girl beside her.
"He's just flirting with her to get on your nerves. Thought you were a good profiler, Em."
"Why would he do that?" The raven haired asks with furrowed brows.
"Maybe cause you're both idiots who don't realize you're in love with eachother. Jesus, everyone else knows but you at the point." JJ answers easily, as if she'd been wanting to say it for a while.
"I know i do, it's not a secret. But i'm pretty sure she's not interested, she would've say something if she was. If anything, she thinks i'm creep for looking so much tonight." Emily gulps down her drink, trying to act the least bothered possible. She is in fact very bothered, it's eating her up that she hasn't had the courage to approach you the whole night.
"It's not like you say anything either." She retorts before adding, "Besides, it wouldn't hurt to try asking her out."
Emily hums in response, not really sure what to think of JJ's suggestion. It is true that she can't be sure about your feelings towards you, but she doesn't think she can be more obvious with her own feelings.
Then again, she could at least try for once before it gets too late. Just maybe not tonight, she thinks as she sees you now sitting by the stools drowning down the second shot with Penelope.
She gives you and Garcia a ride home later that night. Occasionally looking over at you in the passenger seat, deciding what would be the best way to ask you out. It can't get past tomorrow, that's the only thing she's sure about.
ÂˇË ŕźâ¡ę°âł: ĚĚâ
You let out a frustrated sigh as you reach for some paper towel, cleaning the spilled coffee on the counter. Everything seems to be going incredibly bad today. You woke up with a bigger hungover than you had intended to, resulting in a bad mood that worsened once you started thinking about the previous night.
You don't mind Emily looking at you. In fact, you wish she would look only at you forever. The biggest highlight of the whole night was probably when she told you about how good you look in red. You had flushed red quite a few times once you realized she had her eyes on you for most of the night.
But overthinking got the best of you, as usual. It started to feel weird that she would look at you specifically yesterday, the day you decided to dress up. You know it's bad to jump into conclusions, but it's the only thing you can think about. Your stomach turns at the thought of it, disappointment creeping over you. Why wouldn't she want to look at you in any other day?
"Hey, everything okay?" Emily walks into the kitchenet with a small smile on her.
"Yeah. Just spilled some coffee, Em." You murmur, avoiding her gaze at any cost. You move to leave but she's quicker to speak up.
"Do you- i was hoping to ask you something." She says, fingers nervously fidgeting with her blazer.
"Sure, what is it?" You turn back to her, trying to hold yourself together.
"Would you like go grab some food after work?" She asks tentatively.
Your stomach drops, a million of thoughts running through your head. You want to say yes, desperately. But you don't want to end up getting hurt either.
"As a date." She adds quickly. It doesn't help at all that she's looking at you so hopefully.
"I like you, i really do. But maybe it's not a great idea. I mean, i know i usually don't wear clothes like that but i wasn't expecting you to be interested in me just because of it and-" You stop yourself from rambling on.
"What? That's not why i'm asking you out." Emily looks more confused than ever, mouth open in surprise.
"You don't have to say that." You mumble, growing nervous under her gaze.
"It's the truth. I'm asking you out because i've been in love with you pretty much since the day i started working at the bau." She admits, way more straight forward than intended. But it hurt her to know you'd think that of her. "And i do think you're pretty, the prettiest actually. But i could list out a hundred other reason to why i love you that are way more important than that."
"Em..." You cam feeling yourself starting to grow hot. It was indeed a bad idea to just into conclusions, you know she isn't like that.
"No, wait. In fact, i will list it out." She adds while reaching for your already clammy hand. "I love the way you were the only one to support me since day one, i love it when you fall asleep on my shoulder after a case because you feel safe enough to do it, i love how you bring me coffee in the morning almost everyday without expecting anything in return and i love how you're the most caring person i've ever met. I love you for you, not your body. And i was trying to find the courage to ask you out yesterday, i'm sorry if i made you feel that way." She lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding, an incredibly heavy weight being lifted off her shoulders.
"Is that date offer still up?" You ask with a breathy laugh, feeling stupid for it the second after. You expected anything but a love confession today. It was the first question that came to mind.
"Of course." She answers gently with a chuckle, thumb rubbing against your hand just as gently.
"Em?" You say slightly above a whisper.
"Yeah?"
"I love you too." You can't hide the smile (neither does she) that forms on your lips, pressing a smiley kiss on the corner of her lips.

With a deep sigh, you tried to settle down your nerves. Your hands were sore. Sweaty. Tired of trying. The heaviness still lingered on your chest. The feeling of incoming doom. The air all around was thicker than youâd remembered it for, nearly making it impossible for you to breathe. And you swore to your reflection in the mirror, you were gonna make it through.
It had been three nights since the result. Two days of pain. And one single thought looming in your mind. Pregnant. Youâre pregnant. You didnât know what to do, nor what to think. Sinking into a pit of terror and despair. The idea frightened you, tore you apart. And just thinking of your future, of what was to come from now on, made your head spin.
Today, you forced yourself to forget. Pretend your life was normal, like it used to be. Not Much had changed since you had taken the test three days ago, but to you it felt like everything was different.Â
You had skipped the gym the last couple of days, the first time doing it since you could remember, scared to face anybody and them finding out, but also too anxiety stricken to even leave your bed. You felt cramps, but also your stomach turning. You felt nauseous, but you werenât sure if it was due to your newfound condition, or if it was the anxiety acting out.
Nessie had called, and you gave her some excuse that your boss needed you elsewhere. Another city. A quick work trip, youâd be back soon. At work, you told them you had caught some contagious disease you found on google, and they let you off for the entire week. Thankful for a relatively full pantry, you survived for two days on your own, but you sure couldnât manage to eat much anyway.
Youâve never lived worst days. You were sure of that. Fear fills you to the brim. Sadness eats you up from the inside. And because of that, you felt even worse. There are so many people who dreamed of being where you were now, of getting a positive. So many have struggled for this. And here you were, ungrateful for yours. But you never wanted it in the first place. Not now, not like this. It didnât follow your plan. It wasnât perfect.
It wasnât long ago that you were graduating college. And as of this moment, you were a mere assistant, not even a proper writer or a journalist yet like youâve dreamed since you were little. An assistant. The bottom of the food chain, with still a lot to grow and harvest in your career. You neither had the finances, the stability, nor the time and mental capacity to be raising a baby on your own.
Because you would be raising it on your own, wouldnât you? Your baby daddy would just disappear, like many others youâve heard about. He would pack his things and disappear. He would live his life, continue with being young, having fun, while you were left to fend for yourself and your kid. All alone.Â
Would you even tell him? Should you even tell him?
Three nights. Three nights of torture. Of overthinking the future and sulking in your bed, your pillow drenched with your tears. You knew youâd go crazy if you kept that going for too long. So, finding some bit of courage, some tiny little ounce of determination, you left your bed that morning ready to forget. Ready to clear your mind, to make it think straight. And then, you wished, you would know what to do.
You showered, ate, did your skincare and put on makeup, and went for a walk around the park. But you just had to step out of your apartment to find someone who made you think instantly of him. Running back inside and leaving your raven haired neighbor staring confused at you, you made a beeline to the bathroom, dropping your entire breakfast in the toilet.Â
You had to tell him, hadnât you? You had to tell Jason. It was the right thing to do, right?
So, here you were. Back at the gym youâd quit a month ago in favor of another. All because of your last encounter. You thought it was the best to be done, remove him entirely from your life so you could be free again. If only you had known then where youâd be a month later, youâd have laughed at the irony the world was throwing at you. You still remembered the times heâd come, praying he didnât have them changed for some reason. Maybe he wanted to avoid you too. Maybe he had quit. Please, God. Be on my side, only for today.
It had been, perhaps, a full hour since you arrived. Roy had greeted you with a large smile, asking if you were back for good. You couldnât match his enthusiasm, offering him a poor excuse of your own smile instead. All this time, you couldnât complete a full set, never mind finish an entire exercise. Your body trembled, not answering you. Too exhausted. The heaviness on your chest helped in weighing you down and making every effort insufficient.
The weights you had tried to use now stood on your feet. Crooked, disordered, unorganized. Then, you found yourself looking at your reflection in the mirror. Your eyes were red and swollen. Your lips were dry and exposed some nervous bite marks youâd been taking off them. There were a few pimples on your forehead, and you had bags under your eyes. In the corner of the mirror, too stood the reflection of the one youâd been looking for.
He chatted with another man. It wasnât Roy, by the darker hair color and shorter size. Yet it was a face you recognized, but failed to name. Jason looked happy, smiling as he spoke excitedly about something you did not know about. Were you really ready to tell him? Were you okay with ceasing his happiness?
Your eyes lingered on him for longer, and eventually, his eyes found yours. His smile was quickly replaced by a frown. An air of disgust and anger. His tongue poked his cheek, and he rolled his eyes at you. Turning around, he decided that facing the other direction was much better than facing you. Now, his broad back was all you were left to stare at.
You felt the nausea return. Leaving your things behind, you rushed to the restroom. He hated you. He hated you and he was fucking right for it. And what were you thinking? Telling him he was going to be a father, to your baby above all, at the fucking gym?
After dumping your stomach in the toilet once more, you wanted to get out of there. Collecting your things and shoving them inside your bag, you headed out. However, in good old fashion, you felt a body stop as it came in contact with someone elseâs. You didnât have to look up to know who it was. Eyeing you from above, Jason started to apologize before he could recognize who you were, proceeding to roll his eyes again. You excused yourself, still looking away from him, and his demeanor changed from anger to worry.
âYn, are you alright?â he inquired, reaching for your arm. You felt your eyes start to burn, the tears finding their way back, and the nausea only got worse. Running past him, all you managed to say was a quick âIâm fine,â before disappearing.
You arrived at his building straight away, using the faint memory of the directions that remained in your brain from the night he brought you here. You were still clad in your gym clothes, not caring to stop at home first, nor remembering to actually do it. But it was fine, because you didnât sweat anyways. You couldnât even finish one full exercise in the hour or so you were there.Â
So you waited. You waited on the opposite sidewalk, thinking back to the first time you came here. It was almost two months ago, or maybe more, you donât remember exactly. It seemed longer, though. It all seemed longer. Longer than two months. Longer than three days. It all seemed like an eternity.
The sun waved goodbye on the horizon, hiding between Gothamâs skyline. The weather started to shift, as the warmth of summer slowly gave place to the strong winds and the coolness of the autumn days. The breeze made you wish you had brought a coat or something to keep you warm, the thin gym clothes you wore doing nothing to help you. And so, your body shivered.
Shivered from the cold. Shivered from the fear. The agony youâd so desperately tried to keep away returning back to you. If you went up. If you knocked on his door. If you talked to him, there was no pretending anymore. There was no hiding facts you so wished you could. There was no fighting reality.
A lump formed in your throat, and you tried to swallow it away, to no avail. Your breath, your hands, your legs, your all trembled. Fighting to keep yourself up when all you wanted was to fall down, to curl up under your covers and hide from the world. From the truth.
You thought back to the days when things were easier. To your days at the park, playing around with your friends, the hem of your jeans always dirty from mud, dust or paint. You remembered the days all you had to do was study, your chores, and your drawings. Reading books from sunrise to sundown, or for the entire night. Of when responsibilities didnât follow you everywhere, and the perspective of the future didnât break you down.
You thought of your parents. Of how mad they would get. There was always a path to them, a way to follow. A way to live your entire life. Just like they had done theirs. Any step out of that line often led you to trouble. âYou have to get married to a good and respectful husband. One that will care and provide for you. And then, when the time is right, God will give you children to raise, just like he did to me and your father,â your mother would tell you. âThereâs nothing more shameful than a single motherâ, were once the words of your father. And the thought of what theyâd do to you once they found out had your tears rolling down faster than you could hold them in.
An old lady passed by you, asked if you were okay. You lied, like youâd been doing for the past few days. You werenât one for lying, never was, and suddenly it was all you did. âOh dear,â she cooed, and embraced you in an unexpected hug, before her tiny pomsky pulled her away.
Grey took over your surroundings, like one of those movie filters that left everything somber. A single headlight of a motorcycle let you know he was finally here. That the time of truth was upon you. You watched him park his motorcycle like a creep. Hidden in a dark corner, away from his sight. He had showered at the gym, and now wore a different outfit. Sweatpants and a hoodie.Â
He looked comfortable. You clearly werenât. He looked happy. Opposite to you. Were you ready to take all that away from him? To curse him to the same pain and anxiety you were feeling now?Â
But you couldnât do it alone. You couldnât. You needed him. You needed him. You needed him by your side. You need someone, something. Something to tell you everything would be okay. Gathering up all your courage, every bit you could find within yourself, you took one step out of the sidewalk.
A deep breath taken before entering the building, you walked in without ceasing to cry. Each step you took up the stairs was heavy. Heavier than when you were drunk, and heavier than the day you left. Each step was a gulp. Each gulp was a scream inside your brain telling you to turn around. About two or three times along the way you stopped to look down, and wondered what would be of you if youâd just ran away.Â
In your mind, you counted each and every step. An attempt to clear it of thought. It obviously didnât work. Your legs shook and your breathing faltered with the last steps you took to reach the sixth floor. The tears had dried, leaving your skin cold to the touch. You moved on automatic. Everything else you did a blank stain in your memory.Â
It was the feeling of the hardwood under your knuckles that brought you back to reality. The hollow sound it made woke you up, showing youâd made it to his door. Your breath got stuck in your throat, and you felt like you could vomit.
He took his time to answer the door. And you wondered if it was a sign to turn around. To leave. But your feet wouldnât move, even if you screamed at them to do so. The ruffling inside the apartment made your heart jump, beating hard in its place. Your breathing halted, trapped in your larynx, as the tears started rapidly falling down again.
When he opened the door, it was like time had stopped. He assessed you through narrow eyes, still angry at you. You didnât blame him, not at all.
âThey run from you twice and still come right back,â he hissed. His voice was hoarse and monotone, and his eyes found yours in a blank stare. The corners of your mouth fell. Your chin trembled. And had to avert your eyes from him otherwise youâd start sobbing all over again. âYn,â he called, and his voice didnât show the hate or disgust anymore. It was worried. It felt pain. Softer and watchfull. âWhat happened?â
You took a deep breath, swallowing down the tears. Trying so hard to keep them in, but the drops that fell beside your sneakers on the floor were a testament of how your body had stopped responding to you a long time ago. Your shoulders shook, and Jason went from worried to desperate. He didnât know what was going on. But seeing you like this made him freak out.
And suddenly he wasnât mad at you anymore. In retrospect, maybe he never truly was. But whatever anger, or frustration he had disappeared from his body. You felt his touch on your shoulder, and you imagined he had just put one hand there as a sign of support. Youâd be thankful for just that. But then, you felt his arms drawing you close, wrapping around you, until you felt the soft cotton of his hoodie through your cheek.
The tears ran down faster, soaking a spot on the thick fabric. Your loud sobs only made Jason pull you closer, not knowing how, but still trying to call you down. Whatever happened was too bad that youâd run to him of all people, and he felt obligated to help you in any way he could.Â
By this point, he was holding you up himself. Your body giving in to the tears. Jason tucked his nose in your hair, breathing in the sweet scent of your shampoo. He caressed your back, kissed you temple, spread warmth through your body with his own hands rubbing at your arms. However, your tears ceased to stop, making the stain under your eyes enlarge, second after second.
âYn,â he whispered right into your ear. The air he let out hitting against your skin.
You pressed your eyes shut. The tears that still lingered there being forced out. You tightened your hold on him. He called you again, and forced his neck to get a glimpse of your puffy red eyes.
You didnât want to let go, but forced yourself to push him away just so you could finally face him. You felt your throat dry, a weak cough trying to fix it up. Jason couldnât help the quick thought of how pretty you looked when you cried, but he felt so much pain in his chest at the same time that he wished he would never see you like that again.
The first time you opened your mouth, nothing came out of it. Jasonâs fingers drew figures on your back, both a distraction and an encouragement. You can do it, you can do it. With another deep, long breath, you slowly opened your eyes to meet his.
âI-IâmâŚâ you started, breathless. A single tear late to fall from your eyes. âIâm pregnant.â
Jasonâs mind went blank. His body was suddenly weightless. The moments past your announcement, a mere stain in his memory. You now sat beside him on his sofa, your hands covering your face as he heard continuous sobs coming out of you. Your knees tight against your chest, and it didnât bother him you had your shoes on the sofa. Nothing bothered him. Nothing was on his mind.Â
Your body quivered, nonstop. His own unresponsive. What the hell did he do?
Pregnant. Eight letters that had the power to change everything. Pregnant. You were pregnant. With his baby.
Jason felt his chest tighten, and breathing suddenly was harder. He tried swallowing the knot in his throat away, but it wouldnât bulge. Resting his back on the sofa, a hand threading through his hair, he allowed a couple of tears out, rubbing his eyes off any others that dared to hang around.
âAre you sure?â he asked, breaking the prolonged silence with a raspy voice. Moving your head from itâs place buried on your knees, your eyes looked at him with a pain heâd have thought heâd put a knife on your back. âItâs not that I donât trust you,â he told you softly. âI just want to be sure.â
Straightening beside him, you stared at the cat worriedly looking up at the two humans occupying the sofa. You fiddled with your fingers, pulling at the fabric of your leggings.
âI took a test,â you started to explain. âThree nights ago. And my period was late, and itâs never late. And itâs not like we were careful when weâŚâ
âNot at all.â Jason shook his head. You werenât careful at all.
The room fell into silence again, the only sounds coming from the cat, now playing between his legs, unaware of the turmoil youâd just caused in his life.
âIâm sorry,â you said, resuming your sobs. âIâm so sorry.â
âNo, no,â Jason kept saying. He turned on the sofa, sitting in a position he could easily wrap his arms around you once again. âNo, Yn. Donât be sorry. Thereâs nothing to be sorry about,â he soothed.
âJason,â you called him, your voice broken. âHow thereâs not? Iâm fucking pregnant!â
Jason held you tighter. But the truth was, he mightâve been just as scared as you were. A baby meant a new life, responsibilities. And he was still getting used to being an adult and the responsibilities that came with that. It was all going to change. And he had plansâŚ
The two of you stood there until your sobs had quieted down. You didnât know how long, but you were grateful he was quiet for the entire time. You were thankful he was quiet instead of telling you any of the things youâd thought he would. And you were also thankful he didnât close his door on your face.
âHave you thoughtâŚâ Jason tried to speak, but his voice kept on breaking. âHave you thought⌠of all possibilities?â
He hoped you understood what he meant, because he couldnât bring himself to say it. It was a hard thing to ask, but he had to. He didnât want you to think he was pushing you to it, but he needed to know if it was a possibility too. Jason remembered hearing some friends saying they had their girlfriends do it, that they basically forced them. But Jason would never.
He felt you moving on his chest, pushing yourself away from his body, and his breath halted. âItâs your call,â he whispered. âIâll be there for any of them.â
You had sat back up, hands tugging at your leggings again while you thought. It took you long to answer. Too long for his liking. But he understood your pace, everything was happening way too fast. You needed to think things through. For some reason, his stomach took turns, making him feel sick as he waited.
âI donât think I could do it,â you stated, staring blankly at your legs. âI donât think I could end it.â Jason let out a breath he didnât know he was holding. A lightness on his chest he could not name. He nodded, as words didnât make it out of his lips.
Leaning back on the sofa, you felt his shoulders hit yours. He let out another breath, it was long and you found it hard to read his emotions through it. He was silent beside you, making it even harder for you to guess what was going through his mind.
Thatâs it, heâs gonna tell you he canât do it either. Heâs gonna leave you alone.
âYou just took one test?â he asked after a while. You just nodded. âWe should go to the hospital,â he suggested, head turned to watch you. âGet a proper test, just to make sure.â
His suggestion made you hurt. The fact that he doubted you, the fact he thought youâd go to him if you werenât a hundred percent sure, caused you a pain you did not expect. However, on the other hand, you knew he was right. You had to be certain. False positives happen, right? You could be wrong.
âOkay,â you agreed weakly, turning to face him after all. âIâll do it.â
It might have been the uncomfortable chairs or the freezing air conditioning, but the time didnât seem to pass. It was well over an hour since youâd arrived at the hospital, and youâd stopped counting how much youâve waited for your test results to come out. They said between thirty minutes to an hour, but you were sure it had been longer than that.
While you remained seated for most of your wait, Jason was restless. He stood up and sat down more times than you remember, and he was seriously starting to piss you off with his pacing. Stopping in front of a snack machine, he put some dollar bills in it and took something with him before walking back to you.
Stretching his arm in front of you, he offered both a granola and a Snickers bar. In no mood to be healthy, even though your possible new condition sort of demanded that from you, you took the chocolate gladly.
Jason dropped down on a chair beside you with a huff, and took a bite of the granola bar with a certain annoyance. You were both tired of waiting, that was for sure. The agony youâd felt earlier had simmered down, but you too now sat restless, one of your legs shaking incessantly.
It was involuntary, but Jasonâs hand on your knee made it stop. It lingered there for a while, fingertips gracing over the thin fabric and tugging at it just like you had been doing before. You saw his head move, and so did yours, catching his eyes.Â
Your expressions had been everywhere tonight. The whirlwind of emotions you had gone through justifying each and everyone of them. But this time, his eyes bore into yours much softer, sweeter than theyâd been before.
âYn,â he called your name as if you hadnât been staring down at him for what seemed like forever. âWhatever happens. Whatever the results say. Iâll be here, alright? I wonât leave you.â
The sincerity in his tone made your eyes tearful once more, but this time you managed to hold them in. You gave him a soft smile, and you were really glad he was here with you now. Putting a hand on top of his, he flipped it over so you could interlace your fingers, caressing its back with your thumb just like he was doing to you.
It was then that your name was called, both of your heads snapping in the reception deskâs direction. Jason stood up and walked over, grabbing a single piece of paper before walking back to you with even taking a glance at it.
When he sat back, he offered you his opened hand. You intertwined your fingers, and held his with both your hands, taking it closer to your heart this time. You couldnât deny the tiny bit of hope lingering inside you that, just perhaps, you were actually wrong. You werenât pregnant. But, over the hours, youâd also grown accustomed to the idea. He opened the results with between his thumb and pointer finger, and both your eyes fell on the big letters found on top of it.Â
Positive. Again. It was positive. You were truly pregnant.Â
You let out a sigh, closing your eyes to stop the tears from returning. Jasonâs hold on you tightened, and you could sense the tension on him returning. He buffed some air out through his mouth, taking another deep breath before doing the same thing again.
âThatâs it,â his voice was shaky. âYouâre really pregnant.â He forced himself to smile, and you tried to do the same. To no avail. His eyebrows furrowed. âWhat do we do now?â
âI donât know,â you replied honestly. âI just wanna go home. Itâs been a long night.â
âOkay,â he said softly, standing up and walking with you hand in hand till you left the hospital.
The parking lot was almost empty, and you found Jasonâs car sitting isolated far ahead. The silver Toyota Supra shone under the faint light of a lamp post, and you remembered how surprised you were to find him driving it. It finally occurred to you that other than his name and his gym membership, you knew nothing about the man you were about to have a baby with.
He didnât know you either. Gosh, you didnât know a thing at this point. About him, about pregnancy, about babies and having children. He asked you âwhat now?â and you didnât even have an answer. How the hell were you going to do it?
When he felt your fingers leaving his, Jason immediately turned to face you. Frozen in place and flooded eyes.
âI donât think I can do it,â you said breathlessly. âJason, I don't think I can do it. I never wanted kids. I mean, Iâve never really thought about it. I didnât want it now. I wanted to do it all right. This is not it.â You cried once again, rambling the words that left your mouth. Jason had walked over to you, trying to calm you down and wipe the tears off your face. âI donât know anything about babies. Iâve only babysat before, but they were much older. And even my nephew, I didnât meet him until he was, like, six months old. And I donât know shit about pregnancies. I hated biology. I slept a lot during classes.â
âHow can we do it? I barely know you. Gosh I donât even know your surname, Jason. Youâre what, Jason fucking Linetti? How can we have a baby together without knowing each other? Weâre supposed to build a family together. A family. My family⌠I-I never had a family. Not really. I didnât want a family, Jason. Not now. I donât think I can do it.â
âHey, hey,â he cooed, stopping your rambling. He cupped your cheeks with both his hands, holding your face. His forehead rested on yours, forcing you to stare him in the eyes. âI also donât know what the fuck Iâm gonna do. For fucks sake, Yn. But we have time. The baby is not gonna come tomorrow. Weâll figure things out. Together. We have each other, alright? You have me. Iâll be here, with you, all along. You donât have to worry. Weâll learn how to do this together, and with time. Okay?â
Jasonâs dark eyes passed you enough confidence to have you thinking that, maybe, possibly, he was right. You could actually do it. The baby isnât coming tomorrow, you have time. Youâll figure things out. With Jason. Together.
Slowly, you nodded. You could do it, right?
Jason sighed, relieved you actually believed him, because as of right now, he himself was struggling to do so. Giving your head a long kiss, he pulled you into a hug before pulling away to open his car door to you to enter. Dropping on the driver seat beside you, you desperately waited to get back home.
âIâm Jason Peter Todd. Iâm 22 years old. A leo. I work as an exercise physiologist, but I want to be a doctor someday. So Iâm working on getting into med school soon. I love motorcycles, they are fucking cool and driving them makes me feel free. I have probably over twenty tattoos and my favorite book is probably Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.â
âWhat was that for?â You gave him an amused smile.
âYou said you didnât know me or my surname. Now you do, and you can say you know a little. If you want my social security number too, itâs 108âŚâ
âItâs okay,â you laughed, softly, for the first time in three days. âI guess knowing your surname is fine for now.â
He gave you a smile, but raised one eyebrow at you. Confused, you frowned, trying to understand what he meant until he pointed at you with his head, leading you to do the same as he did.
âOkay,â you started. âIâm Yn Sn. I work at Runaway Magazine as Sandraâs assistant, but I really want to be a journalist. I donât have any tattoos because Iâm afraid of needles, and I canât choose a favorite book because I like too many.â
âNice to meet you Yn Sn,â he greeted, extending his hand for you to shake.
âNice to meet you too, Jason Todd. Now can you please take me home. Iâm exhausted.â
âAlright,â he gave you a smirk. âDo you remember the address this time?â
He insisted on walking you to your door, wanting to make sure you actually got home safe. You didnât know where he thought you could disappear to between the sidewalk and your apartment door, but youâd be lying if you said you werenât starting to enjoy his company.Â
The elevator ride was silent, and neither of you spoke as you tried to unlock your front door.
âThank god,â you said. Relief spread through you as the door opened and you got into your home. Immediately taking off your sneakers, you placed them by the door so they could keep it open for you. Looking back at Jason, who still didnât dare step inside your apartment, you managed to give him a thankful smile. âAnd thank you too, Jason.â
âYou donât have to thank me. Itâs not even the least I can do, itâs my responsibility now.â
âBut still, thank you. There were many ways out for you, and you took none,â you explained, resting your shoulder on the door frame.
âYn, you didnât make this baby aloneâ he began. âI saw your state when you knocked on my door, and I also made you a promise. I donât usually break them.â
For a brief minute, you two stood in silence again. Eyes lingering over each other. A recognizable tension in the air. You averted your eyes from him, as warmth engulfed your cheeks, the painted nails on your toes suddenly a lot more interesting to you.
âIâll be going then. Call me if you need anything, alright?â he said, already halfway to the elevator.
âJason,â you called and he turned back. Hopeful. âDo you even have my number?â
He stopped to think, and a dumb smile appeared on his face upon realizing he had never asked you for your number, nor did he ever give you his. Taking his phone out of his sweatpants pockets, he handed it to you. âIf you donât mind. I think I really should have your number.â He combed a hand through his hair.
You typed in your phone number, trying to think of what to write your name as, but concluding your name would be just fine. You gave yourself a call so you could save his too later, and returned him his cellphone.
He awkwardly waved you goodbye, and called the elevator that opened up instantly, not having left your floor since you had gotten home. You watched him as the door began to close, head hanging low and a tired demeanor.Â
âJason?â you called again, and he put his hand on the door just as it was about to fully close. It opened again, and he placed his hands on each side of the door frame. âThank you,â you said softly.
âStop thanking me,â he laughed and now allowed the door to close.
You stood there, dumbfoundedly watching the closed door as you swiftly repeated the entire night in your head. Every moment of pain, despair and torture morphing into nervous expectation of the future that was about to come.
You didnât allow yourself to think too much about it. An entire day was already enough, you needed rest.
A rumbling beside you grabbed your attention, and your head turned to your friendâs door. Nessie poked her head out, clearly surprised to see you there.
âWerenât you on a trip?â she asked, and you shook your head, leaving her a lot more confused.
âThereâs so much we need to talk,â you sighed, allowing your weight to fall on her as you engulfed her in a tight hug.

F1Wags Y/N was seen leaving Carlos Sainz home with not one, but two (!!) bouquets of flowers seemingly from the Spaniard. This comes after the two have been frequenting the same places recently. Y/N and Max Verstappen broke up more than 2 years ago and itâs the first time thereâs been rumors of her being linked with anybody else since. In contrast, Max moved on to Kelly Piquet only a month after their breakup. Are we getting our favorite wag back? đ¤

Hello lovely human :) First off, I hope you are well you are having a nice cozy summer and life is treating you well, as you deserve ^^ I have been reading your jjk stuff for a while and saw your requests are open so i got the courage to give it a shot :) Long story short, what i had in mind is reader having feelings for Gojo but also being bad a direct interaction, so she shows her love to him by trying to make his *busy* life easier (which Gojo never experienced from someone) like: giving him food/sweets, making sure he sleeps, asking about his day and secretly taking on missions from him so he has more free time (to live his life, like??? helloo). He notices these things at some point, considering that is almost always he who does stuff for others, and giving the fact that he mayyyy alsoo like reader/oc he decides that maybe he should do something about his growing feelings too :D I thank you from my heart if you choose to write this! Thank you soo much :)
subliminal message | satoru gojo.
note: first of all! thank you so much for the sweet message, this truly made my day/week! and second of all, I have been struggling with writerâs block for a while so I hope you still like this as it somehow/slowly got me out of it. i had fun writing for satoru so thank you so much for this request!

COMMISSIONS
For a guy who prides himself on using infinity, the space on Satoruâs desk suddenly feels limited. The bento boxes piled up on his right tumble over with an accidental brush of his hand. Then his eyes shift to the food crumbs on the carpet. It suddenly sinks in. Satoru has been having proper meals lately.Â
But the strongest doesnât know what to think of it at first. His six eyes point out almost everything, so it is surprisingâperhaps even unusual for him to not notice things right away. Even more so when it is six bento boxes in total.Â
His coffee splashes as he walks down the corridor and into the teacherâs lounge where his eyes land on your approaching figure. With a pile of documents in your hands, you fail to notice the pair of blue eyes following your every move.Â
You were a talented sorcerer, a few years younger than Satoru so you didnât witness his highschool years or knew of the awful friendship breakup that he had with his old best friend. All you knew was that he was called the strongest for a good reason, and that he welcomed you so warmly that it left you yearning for the manâs attention and friendship since day one.Â
âOh, good morning!â you say cheerfully and Satoru returns your greeting with just as much excitement. You say something about too much paperwork, a comment regarding the students making a mess in the cafeteria and then you were heading towards your office. Satoru looks back, sees your retreating figure disappear into the hallway before proceeding towards Yagaâs office. He still canât figure out where the bento boxes came from.Â
You learn of Satoruâs unhealthy lifestyle shortly after you joinâitâs not hard to notice when the man was never there during lunch or dinner. He was the first person in the teacherâs lounge and the last person to leave. Plus, you are certain that the man has never slept in his dorm room.Â
A few weeks ago, and after a long tutoring session with Yuuji, you found yourself packing your things and getting ready to head back to your room at 2AM. As you were locking your office, you hear rustling coming from Satoruâs office and see that the lights were still on and the man could be heard mumbling to himself something about his upcoming missions.Â
âI stayed up.â He tells you at 8AM, heaving out a sigh that leaves your heart tightening and your eyebrows furrowing in concern.Â
Thatâs bullshit. Because he was allowed to rest just as much as you and Nanami were. Your eye twitches whenever you hear him reaffirm his status as the strongestâthat title was starting to irk you.Â
The higher ups were full of shit and you were starting to think that the Jujutsu society was taking Gojo Satoruâs selflessness for granted. You were well aware of your lack of influence in a society where power and status mattered the most, so you chose the next best thing to do in order to remove some of the weight off of Satoruâs shoulders.Â
Making bento boxes isnât exactly complicatedâhowever, it is time consuming and you hate doing things while half asleep. The only thing that kept you awake at 5AM while you were placing the carrot and fruit slices was the thought of Satoru going on missions with the same amount of sleep as you. Four hours to be exact.Â
You prepare six bento boxesâleave the seventh one empty in case Satoru doesnât need them and starts going to the cafeteria when he realizes the amount of free time he suddenly has. But that could only happen after you move onto the next part of your planâwhich was to talk to Yaga. Your relationship with the principal wasnât all that complicated. You respected him as your previous teacher, and he admired the fact that you came back to work for the highschool years laterâeven after you managed to fall into a rather peaceful lifestyle, away from curses and the constant fear of getting killed on a mission. When you approach him with the idea of taking on missions for the strongestâit is only natural for the older man to reject.
âDo you realize how dangerous it is?â
âIf I didnât, I wouldnât be sitting here and confidently asking you to let me do it instead of him.â
âWhat would you get out of it?â
âIs it bad that I care for him?âÂ
How couldnât he have noticed that? How did his six eyes miss the residue of your cursed energy on the bento boxes? It is a bit too late to be asking these questions, but Satoruâs brain refuses to shut down. His six eyes, like a leaf being tossed around in the wind, were out of control. He could feel your cursed energyâbut he could also feel, even smell the residue of the same curse that had attacked you earlier that day.Â
Satoru doesn't know what to say as he watches Shoko bandage you up, your reflective eyes refusing to meet his own blue onesâalmost as though you were ashamed that you had failed not only as a sorcerer, but as a friend as well.
SAtoru can't seem to find the right words for this situationâhe wasnât necessarily mad at you, he wasn't disappointed eitherâperhaps a little surprised that you had gone out of your way to do something like that. and maybe he was wondering what the motive was. what would you get out of helping him? when he didn't even know that it was you? were you just that nice to everyone else?
Were you doing it so casually? And does that make him not that special to you?
He wants to brush off the lump that forms in his throat at the thought of all of this being casual to you, not that importantâthat youâd do it to someone else, but he canât. Not when his growing affection towards you was starting to get out of control and he was failing to hide his own favoritism towards you.
He wants to say that itâs only because you react to his jokes with so much passion, so much excitementâthat you know he likes kukifuku and make sure that his drinks arenât too bitter. a part of him, buried deep under a pile of unresolved personal issues and failure to recognize those who actually love him or not, wants to scream every time you pat his shoulder when he almost drifts to sleep, noticing that the strongest had failed to get the right amount of sleep yet another time. that itâs just how you are with everyone else.
That he wasnât special.
âWere you ever going to tell me?â Thankfully, Shoko chooses to step out of the roomâmumbles something about this being too awkward with a cigarette between her lipsâand you find yourself alone in a room with satoru gojo.
âDepends.â
âOn what?â
âWhether or not youâd think itâs weird.âÂ
âI donât think itâs weird, just a little unusual.â Satoru admits, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms over his broad chest. He refuses to take off his blindfold but you know that his six eyes were staring deep into your soul.
âYou care for me so openly,â he then confesses and it almost breaks your heart. He is now staring at the door, bracing himself forward so that his elbows are on his knees.
âI like you.â
The room goes silent.
You didnât know if it was the adrenaline, or if it was your heart beating as though you were being chased by 3 bulls at onceâyou spill out the words and then stare wide-eyed at satoru. lips trembling, fingers shaking, you canât bring yourself to say anything else but those three words. It was supposed to be a silly crush, I meanâwho wouldnât have a crush on him, right? and itâs not like you were the first person to ever like him butâ
You were panicking. Because the silence was stretching longer and longer and longerâor perhaps it was your quickening breath and your heightened senses making you far more sensitive to things simply because you had spilled your growing feelings to the same man who was sitting frozen on his seat.
ây-you donât have to say anything in returnââ your throat has gone dry and you wipe your tears with the back of your hand. âI just figured telling you wouldâI donât know, fuckââ your cover your hot face in shame, ears burning in embarrassment because you didnât know what to do. The humiliation of confessing to a crush stays even as an adult, you were discovering.
âCan I talk now?â you feel a hand resting on your knee and you stare at him with teary eyes. you hear his chuckle, this hand other hand travels up to your face where he wipes your tears and strokes your cheek with his thumb.
âYou just figured telling me would, what?â
âMake it easier for me to move on.â
âYou want to move on from me when we havenât even dated?â he says with a playful pout, his blindfold no longer hiding his eyes and you see that the tip of his ears was turning a beautiful shade of pink.
But it also sinks in that the strongest was also confessing to you.
Using his own words, he was letting you know that he would gladly welcome you into his armsâinto his world. It would no longer be just him, this next journey would involve you and him bothâembarking on a new adventure.Â
âBut no more going on missions for me, okay?â
