Anyway, I'm afraid that you just have to wait it out. Napoleons can seem stoic but they packbond with an intensity, and they can grieve in a similar fashion to humans. He just needs time and more soup.

Are you planning on going to grad school and pursuing an academic career?

I've thought about it, but I'm completely ambivalent at this point. My prospects in academia wouldn't be good for various reasons, among them: I'm poor, I hate rules and hierarchies, and I'm not a sadomasochist.

My personality is very antithetical to academia, no matter how much I may love themes, motifs, and analysis, or how good of a teacher I may make. And it is a downright horrendous field when it comes to the treatment of its employees, who are among the most overworked and undervalued in all of the white-collar job market.

Alas, disillusionment! I've slowly resigned myself to reality. I would like a mindless job which allows me to preserve my limited spirits so that I may employ them how I wish to do so in my spare time. If such a thing exists, and would also allow me to pay my bills and receive the basic benefits all employees should receive, let alone to contribute any modicum of value to my community... then that is the job for me, whatever it is.

how do you think jeankasa would approach apologizes with each other? like what does each do? r they more of a brush it off w a small “sorry” cuz they know they love each other or is it something grand etc

I think as friends it would be small shy apologies. Like Mikasa would be like “I’m full actually you want an extra sausage by the way sorry about earlier.” I think they would apologize a lot through food because neither needs lots of material items for the most part. Even post rumbling.

Once they start a relationship their apologies change they still do the small ones.

Jean makes sure to have breakfast ready and gets her apples after he left his horse unattended and it ate all the ripe ones she picked for a pie.

But also he will buy her pretty things like combs and fancy smelling soaps and give her a massage . While Mikasa will make sure dinner is cooked and even offer to take off his shoes when he gets home.

And if they have a big argument they can’t go to bed or leave the house without saying I’m sorry and it ends up pretty emotional and intimate. And they just end up stuck in bed and not wanting to do anything besides be all over each other.
