「 ☆ 」 He hadn't expected to be bitten out of the blue... Or maybe not QUITE out of it, since Lucifer had been lost in his thoughts again. When that happens, it can be worrisomely easy to sneak up on the Sin of Pride. Apparently easy enough to bite... A familiar set of teeth snapping him out of the static-filled cloud he did NOT intend on drifting into. Nothing bad. Just... nothing. Literally nothing as his consciousness retreated in on itself without any outside disturbances to stimulate it.

Lucifer's body recognizes the bite before he does.

Wings abruptly manifest, spreading to the sides when it occurs to him what happened, subconsciously pushing Adam back as the instinctive reaction unceremoniously cuts off with a strained yelp. Tensely standing where he was— wide eyes ( now open after having shut when the shameless sound slipped free ) blinking dumbly as his face flushes golden —all words seem to fail the fallen angel for a few beats... before he lamely responds, ❝ You didn't hear that. ❞
