That morning, before the younger Sakuma could even see his brother was he greeted with a slew of presents by his bedside. Presents from a vase of flowers, various boxes of chocolates, and a giant stuffed bear that he could just snuggle into whenever he was sleepy. There was one sign of Rei and that was through a note he had written, telling his younger brother that he had a surprise for him later that night. He'd do everything he could to spoil his baby brother.

He had actually considered spending the night at one of his friends’ houses... maybe go with Secchan and make some company for the lonely knight without his king. Or maybe with Nacchan and do some nail-painting and girl talking...

However, it was all very last minute and everyone had plans. So he had ended up reluctantly returning, and almost instantly hiding away in his room and spending the night sleeping.

Now, it was morning and besides him were plenty of objects he hadn’t seen before -not had he heard being carried inside. Boxes over boxes of chocolates, bright and colorful flowers and even an -almost- his size stuffed bear. Sitting up he reached for the card, signed by the clear and sophisticated calligraphy of his brother.

“... oniichan?” he mumbled to himself, confused and surprised... what was he to do with himself until the time arrived?
